Zaniah nodded, and didn't see her apology as something so bad,"okay Nix. I will sometimes call you Nix!"
Zaniah listened and nodded in all the appropriate places to let him know she was listening. She knew everyone had their different quirks and talents, and could not always follow in their families foots steps. Zaniah knew she'd never make a protector or be a good midwife, but she'd always sit and watch and only help when needed. Her eyes widened," thank god for that too. I would be terribly cautious if he wasn't."
"There is a point there, some are too involved in themselves and what they think is right. I think you should just work on making yourself happy. Build the life you want." Her ears drooped,"yes, that would be dire."

He nodded at her, "Whenever ever you wish Angel Zaniah." He said softly, not asking permission to call her something less than her deserved title, it would be wrong for a commoner such as himself to do so after all.
"My brother is a good stallion, you would like him." He said softly, "If you could get him to talk to you at least. He.... well, he is rather quiet most of the time." Except with him, Phoenix had noticed how Sin would talk with him as if everything was fine and fall stoic and silent around the rest of the world, including their father it seemed.
"My happiness... is derived from seeing others happy." He said softly, always having had a weakness for helping others, for seeing them smile and knowing he was the one to put that smile upon their lips. Yes, it was a treasure worth more than gold.

Zaniah was just used to Zaniah or just Zee, she'd never been called an angel until now, she certainly didn't hate it but it felt like a title she didn't feel she deserved yet.
Zaniah tiled her head and gave him a quirky smile,"all the best ones are. My sister is the same almost, in fact she doesn't speak at all,ha! Neither does my aunt, but it's not much of a choice to them I don't think. They just simply can't speak." She was just the middle child between the moods of the raging storm and the quiet ocean.
"So are you happy now? Because I'm happy." Zaniah thought Phoenix's selfness was astonishing, yes, she'd see this in her parents every day, but it just seemed to radiate from him without a thought.

Phoenix nodded at her words, a little suprised to hear of a family that held not just one but two mutes, two that seemed relatively close in generation gaps. Interesting. "Mutes?" He said softly, having learnt from his father how to handle them, it was difficult when you couldn't get a definate responce back. "Interesting, I imagine they are fun to be around? I met a mute once who spoke with a number of clicks." Ok, so that probably didn't make much sense but that was the way it was.
He smiled at her words and nodded, "If one such as yourself is happy around me, then how could I not be?" In many ways, the charming side of him almost wanted to lean over and kiss her hoof, but there was no way he would do that here.

"Indeed", Zaniah nodded, she wasn't sure if Auva couldn't or just didn't like to, she always seemed to shake her head and keep her mouth shut where as her aunt would always find some way to try and talk to people though tapping.
"Of course! It does't make them any less a person, but still have very good personalities", the described soquili reminded her of her aunt,"my aunt sorta does that. She taps and scrapes, like morse code, I think it is that. My father and grandfather understand but I do not. It doesn't stop the fun though." To others she looked like she was doing an odd tap dance.
"Awww great!" He was able to bring out her inner foal and make her crawl into her own shell at the same time, it was confusing but nice. Zaniah looked up to the sky,"what does that one say to you?" She knew it might not be saying anything at all, but it was good to listen in on.

Phoenix nodded at her, he didn't doubt or see them as less simply because they couldn't speak, same for those who could not hear or see. They were not less simply because they were different. Each had value in their own way, they simply needed to find their own way to shine. Not wanting to stick his hoof in it though, aware that some were a little sensitive about such things, he decided not to linger on it.
When she looked to the sky again and asked her question he allowed his eyes to look up. Ah, Vega. "Vega." he said softly, "It could mean a few things.... but...." He took a moment to think about it, "...right now I suppose I would intrepret it as it's first meaning. The judge of Heaven. Since I am with you... I believe it is telling me to watch my tongue, that I am in the presence of a messanger of light, just as Vega is, and should count my blessings. However, I see it as lucky rather than threatening." He turned to look at her, "When you look at it... how does it make you feel?" Interpretation was often about your feelings.

Zaniah stretched out and relaxed,"Oh, I don't see myself being from there anymore, some of us have been on land far to long to belong there."
She shrugged lightly, she couldn't see him saying anything bad,"it's okay, you don't need to be so guarded with your words if you don't feel like it. I think meeting you was a blessing, i shall always count this as one"
Zaniah concentrated for a little while,she wasn't sure she'd see anything in it at all, until she saw a spark.
She smiled,"it's a link between heaven and earth. Like the angels coming down to the people of the earth,"he hesitated,"...I'm not sure if the news is good for the future, but it leaves us at piece for now."
She didn't know if it made much sense to him, but she hoped it would.
