Amphi just watched in awe as Danny moved herself around and then her arms out for the mermaid.

And then she was looking down at the ground that was below and her faced paled. SHE HAD COME THIS FAR THOUGH, SHE WOULD NOT GIVE UP NOW!! She reached over and took a deep breath, pushing herself.
And then she heard the word surprise and she booked it to the top, where she waited over the ledge of the roof, bouncing in place.

Danny giggled, invigorated by the adrenaline of having just woken up, and having parkoured right up the side of the building. She clambered up the side, quickly following Amphi's heels, her muscles reeling at this hour.
Happily, she threw herself down right on the spine of the building and patted her lap for Amphi to come sit.
"You hafta sit here or you can't see it!" she said, waving at the ghoul. "Quick quick!"

fkdsjlfksdjl Amphi watch Danny as she clambered up here even, her admiration for the ghoul rising. Blinking, she following and then covered her mouth
Well..it wasn't wrong to sit in ghoul's laps right? Amphi bounced over and plopped herself in Danny's lap and then looked at her eagerly.

Danny smiled and wrapped her arms around Amphi, pushing her cheek on the ghoul's back. "Ohhh I missed you so much Amphi!" she said, squeezing the FEAR out of the ghoul. She was just happy to have her mermaid back.
She pointed to the campus below, her head on Amphi's shoulder now and said, "See, you can see the whole world from here!" She smiled and wiggled happily. More solemnly, she added, "I dunno, I just come up here when I feel sad ... so I thought you could come up here too and not feel sad!"
Her head tilted, but she was careful not to scratch the ghoul with her horns. She'd learned with Rikki how not to do that! "I think only Rikki's been up here with me ... but that's 'cause he has chains and can cheat the climbing," she said, chuckling.

Amphi wiggled in Danny's arms and smiled. She missed Danny too! She gasped silently though as she felt her very life being squeezed from her before patting the ghoul's hands gently. She couldn't very well turn around to return the hug and instead took it as it was.
She liked being on top of the roof, it was a pleasant change to see the whole school up there. It almost felt a little empowering, like Amphi was princess of the Amityville Academy!!
The mermaid heaved her chest as her heart thudded a little. Danny...Did she miss Rikki? Was she not able to see him? Amphi couldn't even offer her friend advice and instead reached to pat the ghoul's cheek.
Trying to comfort her instead.

Danny smiled sort of sadly at Amphi. She knew it was mean to think, but she missed the old Amphi. All full of smiles and adorable songs and sounds. It wasn't like she didn't like Amphi more but ... it was a case of "you don't know what you got 'til it's gone."
Rather awkwardly, she said, "Um but ... I was also thinking you could maybe ... take my pin?" She wiggled her claws a bit, and the FEAR materialized into the small, circular shape in her palms. She held it up for the mermaid to see.
"Sorry I know its kind of weird..." she said, keeping a loose hand around the ghoul just in case Amphi thought it strange and ran away. After all, they'd only know each other for a short month. "But um ... I already died once saving you!" She let out a laugh. Almost twice, but luckily only once. "So I just ... figured ..."
Danny wasn't good with words.

Amphi went to hold her friends arms instead, leaning her head back so that it rested in her shoulder. She was surprised when Danny moved and then...
Her pin. Her pin.....
Amphi stared at it, then looked up at Danny and then back to pin and back to Danny and then...
BURST INTO TEARSSSSSSSSSSSSS. She turned to hug Danny tightly and tried to wipe away the tears so her friend didn't get them on her. Danny was too good for her, no really she was. Pulling out her phone, she waterily typed a message on her screen and them showed the fire ghoul.Quote: I would love to take your pin Danny! But only if you take mine in return!

Danny just sort of awkwardly cringed, caught in that weird limbo between "I want to hug the FEAR out of you" and "I don't want you to touch me, please leave." The water was just so gross. Oh Jack she couldn't do this if Amphi was going to cry all over her.
Luckily the mermaid wiped her tears and then presented her with a matching emblem.

"WHAT?!" Danny said, reflecting just how incredulous Amphi was at the whole ordeal. "I mean ... yeah but what! Amphiiiiiiii" She grabbed the ghoul's emblem and pinned it to her belt, right below Roch's.
Then came all the hug-clinging.
Because shut up they're OTP.

Danny smiled, her actions speaking louder than her words at the moment. She hugged Amphi close to her. "I hope you get your voice back soon, okay? I miss it..." She squeezed Amphi one more time.
"Hey um ... you won't tell people about up here, right?" she said shyly, looking at the tiles on the roof. "It's kind of um ... it's like my place."

Amphi blinked and nodded. She hoped her voice came back as well. Soon..Hopefully.

Danny stared at Amphi with eyes of wonder and awe. "Like ... like sleepovers?" She was completely starstruck by the concept of having a sleepover with Amphi, because poor Danny had never actually had a sleepover. She slept with Rikki sometimes, and had that one "sleepover" with Moure, but she had never really had a proper one.
Proper, as in the works. Painting nails, watching movies, eating popcorn and talking about boils. With how boilish Danny was, it'd just never happened.
"Yes! YES!! I want to have sleepovers!" she said, almost frantically. Even as tomboilish as she was, Danny was still a ghoul. However small, a part of her still wanted to be a ghoul.

Danny was sparkling. Absolutely sparkling. A sleepover with her favorite mermaid in the whole wide world. How could this get any better? HOW I ASK YOU?
"But no telling Roch okay? Or Rikki or any boils. No boils allowed!" she said happily. That was a sentence she never thought she'd say.
Danny was getting fidgety though, so she released her death cling on Amphi and stood up shakily. "Okay, let's go running now!" she said, grinning stupidly.
