"Aye sir!" Keilana teased her brother as she then put a hand against her forehead to keep the sun from blinding her. Her own gaze latched onto that bird though she was hardly keeping track of the wind movement or the speed it was going she just hungered to pluck it and eat it. Real food, after so many days of rations...they would feast.
Almost drooling she gave an excited squeal and clap of her hands as her brother released his arrow and hit it. "That was so cool Jac! " She complimented him like a child may, and it was true it was very awe inspiring how her brother managed to do it with such ease. Hurrying after her brother she brought out her little dagger to help finish of the creature if it wasn't dead and to prepare it to eat.
"I hope it tastes good." The girl managed as she followed after him her eyes scowering the ground looking for their prize. "AH! there it is!" It looked quite dead, and thus far nothing had come after it besides perhaps the flies. Skittering across the rock face perhaps a bit precariously she came up the bird and noticed how...BIG it was.
"We will be eating...for days..." She sounded absolutely pleased by this.

Jacin gave a smile when sister chirped about how cool what he'd done was. He looked over at him before he gave a smile, "Well of course! Nothing I do isn't cool, little Kei." He said, unable to help but to answer in such a manner even if it had been worried that he might miss the shot. It was important to him to look cool and capable in the eyes of his sister especially. He wanted to be someone that she could rely on after all, especially given the tears earlier. That just made him want to fight that much harder to make her happy!
As she hurried on ahead, saying out loud that she hoped it tasted good he couldn't help but to laugh as well, "Yeah, I hope that it tastes good as well." He did kill the thing after all, it would be a shame if it tasted terrible, "Surely a bird has to taste better then a bug though, right? He sure hoped so... if a bird tasted worse he would end up a bit worried about what the other beasts of Sauti might taste like. When she called out, signalling that she'd found the fallen bird, he hurried after her and looked over what she had retrieved and he gave a whistle, "Wow, that is a damn big bird." He murmured, giving it a little poke with his finger before he took the bird from her, pulling his arrow out of it, and shook it off before he put it back in his quiver, "Alright, we are going to have to pluck it and then get it cooking. What do you want to do? Pluck or build a fire?" Both jobs could be tedious so he'd leave picking up to her though he could always say that since he caught it she should cook it... though that would lead her accusing him to telling her to cook cause she was a girl and he'd likely get punched.
"Lets see about getting it butchered out, then we can smoke the meat and have plenty of food for a while." He had no idea when the next opportunity would be there for him to shoot them a meal this size so they had best try to prepare it in a way that would cause the meat to last the longest.

Keilana didn't really care which chore she did, plucking wasn't exactly fun but neither was gutting. Moving over to the creature she was quick to break its neck just in case it was barely alive. Then she cut the head off and began to pluck. The feathers would be flying everywhere but she hoped the wind wouldn't pick up and literally send them all over the place.
"Yes your right...maybe I should of try for a bow instead of a hammer, " She commented finding that a arrow was much handier to remove than say..crushed bone splinters. All in all Keilana was thrilled at the prospect of eating fresh meat again.
Humming she went to work the feather pile growing larger and larger as the siblings set about to enjoy there meal.

Jacin starred at his sister as she went to work on the bird, sending feathers in all directions, before he gave a bit of a laugh as he moved to gather what he could from the landscape of Sauti that would burn before he set to work building a fire that the two of them would use to cook the bird that Kei had spotted and Jacin brought down. As the fire got going he said, "We make a good team, Kei." Though he knew eventually she might really get led off by some guy, he could only hope that it wasn't soon since he was pretty sure that he'd end up lonely were that to happen. For now though he was content with working as a team with Kei, though he knew the moment that they got home it was likely that they would be back to competing with one another since that was what was most natural for the two of them.
Getting some of the many rocks that dotted the landscape he set them up around the fire that he'd made to keep it from spreading, not that there was a lot it could spread to, before he look over to his sister, "It's all ready for when you are." He said, plopping down next to the fire, deciding to relax while she plucked the bird. They would need to prepare it for cooking and then do the cooking, but it was something they had done many of times before. So long as they didn't get distracted they wouldn't likely burn it. Much. Jacin meant to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and they could rejoin the other Leaf Tribesmen after they had their meal. They should bring back some of the meat for their fellow tribesmen he thought to himself, leaning back so that he could scan the sky, wondering what the odds were of getting another bird or two.
Maybe not right now but perhaps on the way back they might find some of them. He'd have to keep an eye out after the two of them had eaten their mean, put out the fire, and were once more on their way. For now Jacin would try to relax just a little bit, something he didn't do a lot and tried to enjoy when he did give himself the chance to do so.
