The more he learned about this trainer and her little Eevee, the more the nagging voice in his mind urged him to do something. He was Team Rocket; pokemon theft was what they did! And her Eevee would be the perfect target. She was insanely friendly and had no battle training to defend herself.
He could see himself coming back to base with her, training her, experimenting on her. Would he create a Flareon or a Jolteon or maybe an Umbreon. The Eevee would be the perfect compliment to Pinkie with her personality. He shook the thoughts viciously from his mind and tuned back in just in time to hear her ask him about his pokemon again.
Rory kept his eyes trained on the shelves. "I've had her about nine and a half years now. She was a gift and I've worked hard to make sure she was remarkable." It hadn't always been easy but they pushed through the trouble spots. "It was hard to do because she behaves a bit like Lovey, but it's been worth it."

"Well..." she sight, straightening up, "...if you've trained a pokemon with Lovey's personality, at least we can say there's hope, right? It's never too late to try at least."
She turned to show the ball to Lovey, gently flicking the tip of the eevee's tail to get her attention. "What do you think about this one, Lovey? It wouldn't be so bad, right? Then you wouldn't get rained on when we traveled!"
She hoped the last comment would encourage the Pokemon to at least attempt to stay in the ball. Lovey hated getting soaked through on rainy days, and didn't like thunder at all. At least she would be dry in a pokeball...
The little eevee poked her head out of the bag and ticked her head to the side, staring curiously at the ball. Though apprehensive, she yipped shortly, not entirely convinced. In all honesty, Dove wasn't even sure she understood it all.

Rory nodded. "Yeah you can, at least, train her so you have a little defense just in case."
He looked around to see if there was anything else he needed before checking his watch. He should probably get headed back to base.
He took a breath and decided to say something else before he walked off on her. "Well good luck with her training," he nodded and waved to the small Eevee, "and good luck getting her to stay in the ball."
He walked close enough to her to pet the Eevee one more time before walking off to pay for his stuff.

Dove watched him walk by, smiling fondly when Lovey tipped her nose up to his hand in her own form of goodbye wishes. She laughed softly, waving as he left. "Thank you, and thanks for your help!"Gathering her things, she started off to another isle, just to scope out the rest of the merchandise. "See you around, Xander!"~*~
