Rishima watched quietly as Jerada spent a long moment to spitting out the fruit that would have attacked her stomach the moment that she had swallowed it. Luckily he'd been able to spot what it was that she was trying to eat, "Ahh, it's no problem." He said, one antennae giving a bit of a twitch. It was a little odd to hear someone like her say thank you and exciting at the same time, "Food is something I know a little about, I often cooked for myself and my mother when she was in." He explained, cooking seemed to be one think that the woman was alright with him doing after all which was nice.

When he was told that since he was more knowledgeable of the area that he might bring them in the right direction he gave a slow nod, "I can try." It was worth a try right? Let's see... glancing in the direction they had come from he seemed to be thinking really hard on where it was that they were, where they had come from, and where the stream should be located. Shifting in place he finally pointed, "I... think it's in that direction." He said, glancing at Itzal for help in that area. Itzal glanced over at him, mouth stuffed full with fruit, then he glanced where his friend was pointing before trotting in that direction. Hoping that was a good sign he started to follow along after the Radaku, "Yeah, I think that it's this way." If Itzal was heading in that direction too then it must be where the water was located. Or so he hoped.

"Once we get our water, and food, will we be returning to tracking the other sisters?" He asked of Jerarda, sure that she would be happy to be the one leading again. He didn't think that she much enjoyed following him as much as she liked leading.

Jerarda had a feeling this was not going to end up well for her. Was her imagination or was her stomach starting to sour? Pushing past it she began to follow Rishima, glad for once she didn't have to think. Now if only her mind would let her stop creating fake symptoms of illness. The walk seemed endless and she was quite distracted when Rishima asked about getting back to tracking.

"Once we have fed...and gathered water we shall preserve what food we can. The fish can be smoked...and i am sure our sister's would appreciate the extra protien." Jerarda was sure they could smoke the meat while they slept that way we they awoke they could start out right away.

They walked the rest of the way pretty much in silence, Jerarda was convinced that she managed to swallow some of the fruit though honestly it was just her mind playing tricks on her. The alkidike woman perked up once she could smell and hear the river ahead. Moving past Rishima in a hurry she quickly got to the river's edge and then began to drink some of the water in the clearest part of it.

As she finally felt her mouth was clean of the fruit or at least the flavor of it she noticed the fish in the river and grinned. This should be easy.

"Well then lets set up to stay here and fish and eat before resting." Jerarda was eager to start fishing, and already she was wading into the river and went to stand perfectly still, like some birds of prey would waiting for the fish to come to her.

Rishima was pretty well sure that he was never in his life happier then when he was able to hear the sound of running water. It meant that he was able to find what they were looking for when he was pretty worried about the fact that he was going to lead them astray. Turning to look over at his sister he listened as she explained to him what it was that they were going to be doing. Fish? So they were going to go fishing, were they? That would be interesting, it was something that he'd never done before though he'd eaten fish from time to time with his mother. Given her confidence in the matter though he was pretty well certain that Jerarda must be good at catching fish so he was pretty sure that this would go smoothly, he just had to keep her away from bad fruit was all.

Upon reaching the water's edge he watched as she went about gulping down the water, likely eager to get the last bit of fruity taste out of her mouth. He gave a little smile before walking over to the water, going upstream from Jerarda, and set to gathering the water into his flasks first, then drank his fill. Once he was done he glanced over at Itzal who was racing up and down the bank after the fish, and chuckled at his cute and silly companion.

"Mmm, alright. Camping here sounds good." He said, looking around. He didn't think this part of the river got a lot of action, there were no paths to this part that he could see, so they couldn't be bothered by anyone or anything. Turning to look at Itzal he told the Radaku, "It's up to you to chase off anything scary." He told him, giving a grunt of reply as the dark colored beast suddenly thrust his head into the water, jaws snapping down, and dragged a fish out. He gave it a bit of a shake before swallowing it down, not even bothering to chew. Once the fish was downed the came over to where Rishima was standing and flopped down next to him. Between the fruit, the water, and that fish the halfbreed was sure that his pet was filled up and likely wanting to nap, "Here, I will leave my pack with you." He said, setting it next to the curled up Radaku who gave a grumbling response but seemed as though he would keep an eye on the bag... or at least sleep next to it which was deterrent enough for most people.

What was about to play out was possible the most embaressing thing Jerarda had ever done. The method seemed simple enough, stand still, wait for the fish and then grab them. Well she hadn't anticipated them to be ...slippery and lightning fast. They darted as even a muscle twitch and Jerarda wasn't quite the queen of patience. Watching from shore would be quite amusing for it soon became apparant she had no idea what she was doing. Even if she was convinced that she did.

The alkdike woman had never fished, and if she had it was with a net. Pretty simple but even then it had proven too time consuming for her to learn how to do it properly. As she was concentration really hard a fish swam right under neath her hands.

SPLASH!!!

Water went everywhere, the poor woman was almost soaked but there was nothing more than river weed clutched between her two hands. Growling she went about making more noise than necessary trying to catch fish. Even right down to chasing after them as if hoping to drive them to the bank which the fish were never stupid enough to let happen.

Tired and nearly completely wet short of dunking herself into the river fully she dragged herself to the shore where she sat down. The look on her face it was easy enough to see she could easily be antagonised at this point, she went about squeezing water out of her short pony tail of a dread, before she then went ot unwrap the bandages around her hands feet and then her chest.

Thinknig nothing of it as she went about wringing the water from the cloth even as she was naked from the waiste up. In her mind she was with her 'sister' and she would beat that into Rishima's head if 'she' got any other ideas.

From the bank of the river Rishima watched as Jerarda seemed to get more and more frustrated as things went on with the fish, showing that she wasn't as good as fisher as he'd expected her to be. Instead she seemed to be... well... rather terrible at it. It actually made him feel a little bit better about things and he gave a smile as he stood there at the edge of the bank watching everything that she was doing and seemed to be learning what not to do when it came to fish and finishing. Turning to move toward his pack when there was a rather loud and resounding splash that had him turning back to check on her, "Ahh... Sister?" She was soaked to the bone and looking more then a little displeased and then it started...

The halfbreed watched in quiet facination as she went splashing about after the fish, seeming to be trying to chase them down, a look of anger on her face. It was... well it was kinda funny not that he would admit such a thing out loud for fear of being punched in the face by the displeased woman. Instead he lifted a hand to smother a smile with a cough instead. Watching as she ultimately ended up on the banks of the river squeezing out her hair the young half blood smiled, "It was a good effort." He said, not wanting her to be upset with herself for not being able to catch the fish. They did seem to be rather speedy after all, not to mention that they were likely well versed in escaping from most predators. Still, they were supposed to be catching the fish to smoke them, weren't they? Maybe he should try his hands and it?

Glancing toward Jerarda he was about to ask if he should try his hand at it... then realized that she was unwrapping the various cloths from around herself. He starred for a moment then jerked his head to the side, deciding to give her the privacy she likely wanted and moved to wade into the river. He'd distracted himself with his own attempts at fishing while she dried herself off he thought to himself, doing everything in his power not to look her way again certain that if he did he would net himself an a** kicking.

Jerarda thought nothing of her being in this state. In fact she put her bandages on a nearby rock in hopes it would dry in the fading light of the sun. Well what light could reach the forest floor anyway. Luckily there was a break in the canopy where the river lay so that would be good enough for now. They would need a fire and THAT much she knew how to do without making herself look like a fool.

She didn't respond to the comment about a 'good effort' either succeed or fail was her motto. And she did not succeed so she failed quite spectacularly.
Still even as she gathered what dry wood she could find she found herself glancing at the other to see just how well 'she' was doing at the task she found herself so utterly bad at. Rishima seemed to be doing better than she had and this irritated her. Nobody showed her up.

Turning her back she continued to make a fire, "We need to make you more presentable to our sisters. I shall bath you once we have fed." Jerarda announced rather to the point. Dropping the sticks she had found onto the ground she proceeded to gather them together to form a tent of sorts. Working two sticks together she managed to get a small flame of sorts and coaxed it into life with some moss.

Bent at the waist, hands in the water, Rishima did what Jerarda wasn't quite good at, that being standing around patiently doing nothing more then watching the water with his antennae twitching. He did a whole lot of nothing at home, often busying himself with the most mundane of tasks, as such this really wasn't all too bad. It did make him curious what it was that Jerarda might do day in and day out that made it so that she was unable to stand still long enough to wait for the fish to come to her. Likely really interesting things that included her going on such adventures, seeking out their traveling sister, all on her own. Well, all on her own until she'd picked him up at least.

Rishima's antennae twitched again and he felt a bit of a brush against his hands, something that caused his mismatched eyes to go wide, "Ahh..." It was close, wasn't it? He just had to patient a little bit longer was all. Forcing himself to remain still the young halfbreed bit his lower lip lightly... and then he closed his hands on it, jerking the slimy, scaly beast up out of the water, "Ah! Sister, look!" He squeaked out, doing his best, clutching the flailing thing to his chest, doing his best to keep it from escaping, though all it's flailing knocking him backwards and into the water. A louder squeak escaped from him as he hugged the fish tighter to him, not wanting to lose it even if he was now just as soaked as Jerarda had gotten herself, "S-Sister... Help!" He cried out to her, finding himself unable to get up while keeping a hold on the creature. The boy was struggling so much with the large, ugly, but possibly tasty fish that he missed the comment about how she meant to make him more presentable through a bath. At least as soaked as he was he was half way to that...

Jerking her head around her gaze narrowed as she saw that the little lost witu had managed to land a fish...a big...fish...that was starting to overwhelm her 'sister'. As annoyed as she was to find that Rishima had caught a fish she also didn't want it to get away from 'her' for that meant no fish at all for either of them and she was hungry. Getting up she abandoned coaxing the fire to grow and went with long strides into the river against wrapping her arms around the fish and Rishima as if two pairs of grasping hands would stop it from getting away.

She could feel the slimy scales against her chest and she seriously hoped this thing didn't have spines. "To the bank!" Jerarda barked as she literally dragged Rishima with herself to the bank, if they could get it on dry land the thing would be doomed, once there she went to throw both Rishima and the fish up further along the bank.

"Hold onto it sister!" Jerarda felt the adrenaline pumping through her, she loved the feeling of it and she hurried to find a large rock so she could bash the fish in the head with it.

The little halfbreed couldn't help but to whimper as he continued to deal with the flailing fish that was more then eager to get itself back into the water and out of the grasp of the one that had fooled it into swimming over to where he'd been standing. Just when he was able to give up and let the water dwelling monster go Jerarda appeared to rescue him, wrapping her arms around both him and the fish before she dragged them both of the water and onto the bank, "Ah! Thank you, Sister! It about got away from me." He said, gasping for a break as he found himself and the fish dropped onto the bank, left to hold it once more while she went off looking for... something. He had no idea what it was that she was after but given that she told him to hold onto the fish he would do his best to do just that.

As he wrestled with the fish, getting smacked here and there by the obviously unamused fish, and he could only hold on as though his life depended on it... which he felt it kind of did. He doubted very much that his sister would be all that amused if he were to lose the fish that he was holding onto. It was important, it was their dinner after all, and it might even be big enough that they could eat some and smoke the rest. He couldn't lose it! He'd finally done something well, with his own hands even, and he couldn't let the fish escape. Luckily though it would seem that, while he was getting exhausted, that the fish was as well... now all he needed was for his sister to come back and aid him in the fight. Between the two of them surely they should be able to best a fish, right? He wasn't certain but he sure hoped so... just as he thought that the fish flopped upwards, smacking him in the chin, and caused him to give him a squeak again, "Ow... stupid fish!"

Wincing a little he turned to look around, trying to figure out if he knew where Jerarda was. She was still here, right? Not just testing him by making him wrestle with fish until it finally gave up.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 18, 2012 10:53 pm

Jerarda must of looked insane, as she was scrounging around looking for the heaviest and most manageable rock possible. She had no idea that Rishima had been about to lose the fish before she came, nor did she figure 'she' would be having troubles now. Still she glanced over her shoulder seeing that the half breed was still fighting the fish that was giving 'her' a lot of grief. Of course it was fighting for its life.

Grabbing hold of a larger rock with two hands she lifted it up with a grunt and then hauling it over to where the two still were wrestling on the ground. There was some satisfaction when she heard Rishima call the fish stupid.

"I quite agree wit you!" She nearly shouted as a large smile grew on her face as she positioned herself and lifted the rock over head. "At the last second you let...go...!" Jerarda barked as she suddenly was bringing the rock down fast upon the fish's head. There was a crunching sound and blood splattered against rock, and people alike. Jerarda wasn't sure if Rishima had gotten out of the way in tim but the fish was still..flailing some how and she brought the rock back down heavily on its head once, twice and then a third time.

Finally the fish was just twitching, most likely the last of its death throws or nerves. Sighing she dumped the rock to the side letting it hit the ground with a solid THUD. Grin still plastered on her face she laughed.

"Good job Rishima we shall feast!"

Rishima did as he was told, jerking back away from the fish when Jerarda ordered him to, and gave a squeak of surprise when Jerarda attacked the fish with a good sized rock. His mismatched eyes got quite wide as he watched her hit it a few more times until the fish finally expired. He blinked a couple times when his shock passed before he set to flailing his arms a bit, "Ewww!" He was covered in fish slime from when he was wrestling the fish and now the blood that had flown off in all directions when Jerarda was beating on the fish with the rock. Whimpering a bit he brushed his hands against himself, "So gross..." Fish were lucky that they tasted good because they were rather ugly, mean, and slimy... if nothing else came of that horrible experience at least they had something eat, right?

Looking over at Jerarda when she said that they were going to feast he gave the best smile that he was able to muster given the situation, "That sounds... nice... I think I need to rinse off first though, before I eat anything..." He didn't think that he would be able to eat anything covered in random fish goo. Pushing up to his feet, and staggering over to the edge of the water, the young halfbreed knelt down and set to work scrubbing himself as clean as he could get himself. Maybe if he got to it early it wouldn't stain he thought to himself in a hopeful manner.

Jerarda gave a slight chuckle, still naked from the waist up and now was covered in fish slime, scales, and blood she too would need a bath. But first she would build up that fire and set about getting that fish cooking. Looking to Rishima she only glanced over 'her' and nodded her head slowly.

"Yes...strip down and start bathing. I will tend to the fish and join you after." She instructed as she would have to wash Rishima's hair and work back the beads that were at the end. Jerarda was determined to make Rishima look presentable to her other sisters. Lost in thought she went about hauling the fish towards the fire, it wasn't too large but it certianly would be enough for them both as well some left over. Though she wondered idly if the radaku would take a portion.

Taking a flat edged rock and began to descale it, little flecks of scale went everywhere, the fire sizzeled and popped where moisture could be found, finding a large stick she ...haphazardly skewered it and then finding another couple of rocks wedge it between the two and propped it beside the fire.

Giving it a look over she sighed and brushed her forehead off with arm, then went about removing the rest of her clothes. Once stripped she moved towards the water's edge eager to rid herself of the scales and blood, she nearly dove in if she didn't already know it was shallow she would have. Instead she plowed in and sank up to her waist and began to rid herself of the grim she had accumulated for the last couple of days travel. Undoing her top not she let her hair fall down and could almost swear she was a woman...well besides the boobs and all that made it VERY obvious.

He gave a nod as he shrugged out of his clothing setting to work scrubbing at it to remove the fish scales from it. Once it was done he laid it out to help it to dry, before he moved to wade into the water and set to work scrubbing himself clean. He wanted to get rid of the fish scales and the fish smell and once he was done with that he gave a happy sound, "Ahhh, no more scales." He said, glancing over toward his sister, "How is the fish going?" He asked, able to see from here that she'd gotten it prepared, dragged over to the fire, and it seemed as though it were cooking well. So she was better at cooking it seemed then she was at gathering fruit, that was good he thought, giving a bit of a smile at the thought.

Even from here he could smell the fish as it started to cook, something that made him smile, "Mmm, that smells good." He said, then gave a squeak as she came over to the join him in the water he gave her a glance, looked away cheeks flushed, then looked back again when she sank down into the water, "Ahhh... hi..." He said, sounding a touch embarrassed over her being so close in such a state of undress. It was yet another thing that he wasn't used to it would seem while it seemed as though Jerarda thought nothing of it. Turning so that his back was to Jerarda he debated on making his way to the bank to give her privacy. He'd gotten his bath after all so there was nothing keeping him in the water... though his clothing were sitting out of reach... sinking down into the water he started to creep his way toward the shore, hoping he could get to his clothing while she was busy riding herself of the scales and blood that she got splattered with while she was putting the fish down.

"I will go and check on the fish, you enjoy your bath." He said in a hurried fashion, his voice filled with the embarrassment he was feeling over their current situation. Glancing to where Itzal was laying he would almost swear the Radaku was laughing at him given the look on the beast's face but he did his best to ignore the look he was getting.

Jerarda didn't seem to care about Rishima being naked in fact she went right back to cleaning herself up, after all she wouldn't want to go back to her sisters smelling like fish. Blood she could tolerate but fish? No. After dunking her head back into the water a couple of times she squeezed the water out of her hair and went to tie it back up. Closing her eye's in concentration she heard Rishima come into the water...splash around and then announce 'she' was going to head back to check on the fish.

"Come back here. I need to make sure your hair is done properly." Jerarda snapped as she finished teasing the ends of her hair back into dreads. Opening her eye's she...felt a bit shocked at what she saw being the naked Rishima in front of her. Even if she was only seeing 'her' back side there were some notable difference in body type. 'Her' hips weren't very wide...hardly any curves. Shaking her head to rid herself of the idea that Rishima was a man she went back to convincing herself that the timid thing was one of her 'sisters.'

"Hurry up, I don't want the fish to burn just because you suddenly became shy. We are 'sisters' we have nothing to hide from each other." She reinforced as she patted the area before her her fingers splashing on the water.

It would appear as though she weren't letting him off the hook, was she? His antennae gave a bit of a twitch before he nodded his head, "Ahhh..." She wanted to do his hair? Properly even? He wondered what that might mean in Jerarda's eyes given that half of her hair seemed to be shaved off in a style that was all her own. Then again there was a lot about Jerarda that was all her own, wasn't there? She was on that seemed to stand out from the crowd in his mind, then again that could also be do to the fact that she was a look more eager to make friends with him then any that he knew before now.

"I will be swift." He said, realizing that there was no way he was getting out of whatever she had planned for him. Might as well get it over with, right? Scurrying over to the fish he set to inspecting it, flipped it so that the other side of it was facing the fire so that it would end up cooked evenly, then watched it for a moment. He knew he couldn't watch it forever though, not when his sister was waiting on him. Did he really have nothing to worry about? She said that they were sisters and had nothing to hide from each other but he was keenly aware of the fact that, despite her calling him 'sister' that he wasn't the same as her all over, was he? Oh well, he would do his best to ignore that and allow her to do his hair up in whatever manner it was that she wanted... well unless she came at him with some implement used to shave hair off, then he might need to protest a little.

After as much time as he felt he could waste dealing with the fish he finally made his way back over to his sister, antennae twitching all the while, eyes averted, "Alright... I am back..." He murmured quietly, ready it would appear to put himself into her hands so that he could get his hair done.
