Attacking Talakor
Lorrono glanced Utrin's way. He was sure the man was paying attention and would notice if he slacked off now. He didn't want to make Utrin doubt his loyalty; otherwise, if the weyr did fall, Lorrono wasn't going to have a place anywhere. No dolphin would take on a lone man not tied to one of the Dolphincraft Halls!
"Sorry," Lorrono replied, and tried to hit Talakor again, albeit more from desperation than any desire to really hurt Tal.

Kala
Attacking Utrin
Kala forced her body closer, pinning Utrin's leg so it couldn't try to hit her again. However, that placed her unfortunately close to him, and so Kala decided to get her hit in before Utrin realized the same thing she had.
Grabbing one of his arms and pinning it to the wall, she headbutted him. It was a little off-center, that was a given, but she had tried.

Attacking Lorrono
Talakor easily dodged Lorrono's weak attacks and as he shook his head he snapped a fist out at Lorrono's nose. Stupid kid, most definitely. Apologizing instead of just stopping? With three of them they could totally take Utrin out and stand up against the other small groups running around, trying to take out those loyal to the weyr.

Utrin
Attacking Kala
Utrin's head spun and he knew he was going to black out soon if he didn't do something about getting rid of this woman. Headbutting was out of the question, since that would rattle his mind almost as badly as hers.
He struggled with her for a moment and finally broke his hand free of her grip, punching her hard in the side and shoving at her with his other hand simultaneously.

Defending from Talakor
Lorrono jerked back from Talakor's fist, but his nose was on fire. It wasn't broken he didn't think, but it was a near thing. When blood started dripping from it he staggered back, using a hand to try to stem the flow. His eyes welled with water and he tried to keep one eye on Talakor for any future attacks while trying to think of where in this room there would be a cloth.

Kala tried to block the punch at her side with her arm and succeeded, sending the blow glancing out into open air, but the shove sent her back from him as she tried to get her balance.
"Tal!" she called. She was clearly going to need a hand. As badly beaten as Utrin was, he was still going strong. She might not be able to take him on her own.

Tal heard his name called and since Lorrono seemed preoccupied with his bloody nose, Tal was free to respond. He turned and hurried across the few steps to the other fight just as Utrin was pushing himself off of the wall.
"Hello again," he greeted as he kicked Utrin as high up the leg as possible.

Defending from Talakor
Utrin pushed off the wall, intending to quite thoroughly beat this girl down. Talakor coming to her rescue thwarted those plans only briefly, however, and Utrin avoided his hit with only a hint of awkwardness. That boy was beginning to grate on his nerves. No wonder he hadn't received a dolphin partner after over a Turn of Senior Apprenticeship. The Journeymen were probably telling the dolphins to avoid him.

Attacking Talakor
When Talakor ran back to help Kala, Lorrono looked frantically around as the tears dripped down his cheeks. He couldn't fight like this! He ran to the nearest desk, opening the top two drawers. An old rag was there, and Lorrono quickly snagged it and wiped his eyes, then pressed it to his bleeding nose.
With that done, Lorrono turned back to see Kala and Talakor fighting. He still felt an aversion to hitting Kala, so he ran over and bodyslammed Talakor instead, one hand holding the rag to his nose and the other flailing for purchase on the wall beyond Tal. Lorrono didn't want to end up on the floor, after all.

Kala refused to look at Lorrono and Talakor when Utrin glanced their way. Any distraction now would allow him to get the upper hand.
"Whatever you think your reasons are, they aren't good enough to excuse this," Kala told Utrin as she aimed a kick at him. Tal, she had to trust, could take care of himself for a moment.

Defending from Lorrono
Tal stumbled as Lorrono ran into him, but he really only felt the initial impact, as he strong stance kept him from running into the wall, which would really have done some damage.
He pushed back against Lorrono, wanting to dislodge the boy. He was proving to be a real irritation, and when Talakor looked back to glare at him, he could see Lorrono knew just how angry Tal was getting.
"Looking to make a date of this?" Tal joked, smiling at Lorrono in a way that belied the hint of any kindness behind his words. "I don't like to make threats, but I can break that nose of yours if you'd like."

Kala's kick didn't really do any serious damage, but she managed to hit a bundle of nerves that made Utrin's leg collapse. He fell back into the wall in an effort to stay standing and glared at the girl.
"Your ideals aren't going to get you anywhere, girl. This world values ambition and strength. Siding with the Weyrs when they're surely going to fall isn't going to help you."

Lorrono hesitated at the thinly veiled threat and stood back so Tal could get to his feet. He heard Utrin speaking and threw a half-hearted punch at Tal's arm. This was not where he wanted to be. Why was any of this happening? Why couldn't they all just... leave everything alone? Things were going fine before all of this...

Kala frowned at him. "Maybe they'll fall, but I hope for Pern's sake they don't. We'll work with every ounce of strength--" she suddenly shot another punch at his head, feeling her fist connect with his jaw. She jumped back and watched him slump to the ground, unconscious. Her face was set with her newly found determination. "To stop it from happening."

Defending from Lorrono
Talakor, thankfully, noticed that Lorrono's hit wasn't nearly as hard as it would have been earlier in the fight and just moved away from it rather than trying to hit Lorrono back. The look on Lorrono's face, likewise, showed how seriously he was considering being in another place. Good.
"I think you need to start reconsidering who you let walk all over you. Grow a backbone." Talakor shook his head. "Really, your choice in allies is--"
"Tal."
Talakor looked over at Kala and the now-unconscious Utrin. "Oh. Good. It was about time that guy went down. What took you so long?" He pretended not to notice Kala giving him a chastising look. He also didn't look back at Lorrono; paying him attention meant Tal viewed him as a threat, which he very clearly wasn't. Annoyingly persistent, yes, but not a threat.
