Personality: Often a picture of calm, there is a sinister impulse which remains constantly beneath the surface...a preternatural killing intent that cannot be matched. His first impulse upon meeting any new person is to kill them, his first thoughts are the many different ways that he could kill them. All his life he has dealt with this impulse by suppressing it, isolating himself from people, all the while growing lonelier and wishing for someone who could defeat him...so that they could become his friend. He holds to a reputation as a murderer around those he does not know to keep them at a distance from him...but to the person who truly knows him, he is immensely loyal to the point of willingness to do anything for them. In his heart, he wishes to be normal, to be a good person with people who can rely on him. With his ability, however, such a life is one he has all but given up on...
Bio: At age 5, the first recorded memory/incident involving Kei Munakata involved the murder of his parents. It was said that it was his first experiment in killing, a simple test of 'If I kill them, will they die?' Homeless thereafter, he continued to test the bounds of his killing intent, taking many lives until he had become one of Japan's most wanted for the murder of 36 individual victims.

Or rather, that is the reputation that he keeps, the record that allows him to remain isolated (and those around him scared) from those who might provoke his barley-controllable killing intent. The truth, however, is that he has never killed anyone, but the impulse has always been there inside of him, every moment of his life. It kept him from interacting with children like normal, from having friends like normal people, and it forced him to leave his home from a young age, preventing him from having any semblance of a normal life. Wandering alone, this skittish kid who was fearful of his own impulses and what he might do if he ever lost control of them, he was finally discovered by the government who thought that no one would miss it if a street rat with no friends or family went missing...the idea was to draw him into the Human Weapon project and develop whatever meager talent he might have had.

...It was only 12 agents later, all of them sent to the hospital with brutally non-fatal results that the men in charge of capturing him realized what they had on their hands; before them, by sheer luck, had appeared a child with an unrivaled skill in the art of killing...and only out of a desire to avoid death had every last one of them been spared. So they redoubled their efforts, increased the numbers attacking him on each occasion, and eventually...their efforts succeeded.

Once in the program, he had little choice but to go along with their desires. Accepting their offer of asylum in return for training, he learned of ways that he could both sharpen and limit his ability to kill, refining his skills until they were a perfectly oiled machine. He could kill with unimaginable ease, but with the spiritual training that he forced upon himself he could resist the urge more easily...however, locked away inside the training facilities he was still without even a single person that he could call a friend. Every person he was set to spar with he defeated with ease, piercing them with enough weapons to keep them down but never enough in the right places to kill them. Until finally, at long last, there was her...Kaori Sakurazaka, a savant at fighting who surpassed anything that he had met before. Their battle was fierce, and he went through every last weapon in his arsenal to no avail. Unarmed he was at his strongest, but he couldn't defeat her even when he pierced her body with his swords (non-fatally, of course). Her determination left him in awe...and in the end, he was forced to admit his defeat.

In defeat, however, he found a weight lifted from his chest. Here was a person that he had fought, but could not defeat. Someone that he had tried with all his strength to bring down, but who had stopped him anyway. Someone who could stop him...someone who could prevent him from taking life...and if she was willing to extend her hand to him, someone that he could finally call a friend. He told her of this desire, and she learned the truth about who he was...not the killer she had thought, but a person cursed with the ability to take lives with unmatched skill. And perhaps against her better judgment, she took his hand...and a bond was formed.

Now a new person, his loyalty belongs to her unequivocally...her being the chain that would pull him back if he would ever go too far...the one who could pull him back, and stop him by words, by force if necessary. She was his first and only friend, but she meant so much more. It gave him faith in his control, in the program...and he has appointed himself her unofficial partner ever since.

In short order, the unique ability possessed by Munakata is an unmatched killing intent. Every instant, every person, no matter when or where, his first impulse is to kill. Whereas a normal person might see someone and wonder who they are, what they are doing there, his reaction is always to kill. This impulse is the driving force behind his training, his body growing in order to match this impossibly strong killing intent. His body, refined into a Human Weapon, sharpened so that in any instant that his impulse should get the best of him it is capable of taking the life before him. He can kill by thrusting his fingers into any fatal point on the body...he can kill by biting any visible artery...he can kill with weapons, he can kill with improvised tools, anything and everything within his sight he instantly considers all the ways that it can be used to kill...and he is trained to do just that. In short, in his hands any object becomes a weapon...and his speed, his strength, his reactions have all been honed to impossible levels so that he can use it all to kill.
[His fingers, his teeth, every attack with his body that he uses is capable of Piercing Resistances to kill. Speed is heavily boosted above even the HWU's natural levels. Proficient with nearly any known weapon and can make almost any known object a weapon in his hands. Cannot be affected by Rage, Fear, Confusion, Charm, Paralysis, or any other status which prevents action...his singular focus on killing too strong for his mind to be manipulated against it.]

Personality: Serious, unapproachable, stubborn. Those are words that usually revolve around the girl, considered as such by most. While it’s true Kaori tends to keep details about her life and her own personal thoughts to herself, she is actually cordial and easy to talk to, given the chance…most of the times, at least. Pushing the wrong buttons, though, would turn her cold and unforgiving, a silent intensity characterizing her. She is strong-willed, and perseverant, not believing in leaving things halfway. Determined when she wants something, if she believed something can be done, it will get done, no matter what gets in her way. Kaori is protective of the few she can call comrades and friends and will try doing anything for them.
Bio:Kaori’s life before being taken by the government to join the Program is a big blur to her, only small blotches remaining: a brother she can barely remember…blood…being pointed at and avoided. Her ability to reopen wounds had been present since she could remember, causing the ones surrounding her to bleed constantly; the girl unable to understand the reason or that it was her causing it. She was still young, no more than seven, when she started realizing that she was, in fact, the culprit for her brother’s never-closing wounds and of whoever she got near to. It was then that she started making some distance between herself and others, but…it was too late to keep it quiet. Her ability had already drawn too much attention to herself, the government believing that she could be useful for the Human Weapon project they had in hand. A group of men went after her, only to return beaten and empty handed. It took several attempts and larger groups to find the girl and to realize that her ability to make them bleed wasn’t the only problem stopping them from getting her. Finally, Kaori was brought over to the installations and entered the program.

There wasn’t much the girl could do despite her defying attitude at first, being left with no other choice but to follow with the plans they had for her. She was put under training no long after she arrived, teaching her how to control and manipulate her power at will. It wasn’t long before she could master her ability, starting that way the second part of the test. She was set to spar and fight against others, always ending up the victor due to the severe wounds reopened leaving her rival unable to continue. Even with the choice to open mortal wounds and leave the person to bleed to death, the girl tended to avoid killing people, not finding any pleasure in doing so. Still, she was seen as a dangerous weapon, her bitter feelings towards the whole deal making her hard to talk to and dealing with. Then came Kei Munakata, who was way above the level of any of the others she had fought before. His distant character and the feeling that he was holding back bothered her greatly, and regardless of the rumors and stories she had heard about him, she didn’t fear him, and fought stubbornly, ending up greatly injured and tired…but victorious. She collapsed right after the fight, and found out later that he the reason he had been holding back wasn’t because he thought lowly of her, but for a completely different reason.

She learned his story, his wish, his fears…and she found herself opening up to him as well. Here was a person that was different from the blood-thirsty Human Weapons…someone that she could trust, despite her common sense. They protect each other, from others…from themselves and with years, she had learned that…perhaps…all of what happened wasn’t all bad, after all.

In short, Kaori has the ability to passively reopen any single wound, no matter how old or healed, when the intended target ventures near...and the ability to open 3, no matter how severe, when making contact with the enemy's body. She is able to sense the place where the scars are or used to be when her power reaches her target (not as powerful if she’s not in touch), giving her the choice to open a specific wound at her will, be it a flesh wound caused by a fall or a slash or a nasty, severe wound like a stab to a vital organ. Skin will tear and the wound will start bleeding for no apparent reason; no use of weapons or contact with other kind of instruments except for her hands (or even without them) needed.

[Within a wide range [50 m] may open one old wound of any kind per-turn on chosen targets. If making physical contact, may open 3 wound per-turn. Passive ability, thus may work while also throwing a punch, dodging, etc. Wound must have been referenced in profile, in RP, or suffered in-RP to be targeted. If no wounds have been suffered in-RP, then one 2-inch gash will be opened each turn in a selected location on the body to mimic an injury from before the RP-time. ]

Scar Laceration (Unique deviation of her Scardead Ability derived from increased mastery over her technique; one thin scratch delivered during battle can, using this skill, be torn wider by the Scardead ability...making a minor wound into a major wound in an instant! One use per-battle.) - Unique Skill

Ani Zot is a dark curse which opens up beneath an opponent and engulfs them in a powerful Dark Light, dealing a severe blow of Darkness damage with a 1/5 chance to Enervate an enemy.

Dark Ki Barrier:
A lesson learned from her meditations with Kei...to be in control of one's emotions is not always to be without anger. By focusing her anger and taking control of the dark energy within her Kaori can force a sphere of Dark Energy to surround her in defense of she and one other person (if they are standing just beside her). A powerful defensive dark magic; drains Dark attacks and blocks any one elemental magic attack before dispersing. Must wait 2 turns to use again.

Dark Fist - A passive ability to enchant one's fists with High Dark Damage, capable of bypassing Dark Resist on impact. Despite the name and implication, works on any physical strike she chooses.

Murakumo Darkness: Endless Night: Terrible vengeance to unleash upon those who have wronged the caster; this spell is one of the true, ultimate Dark Magic Spells. Casting a thick, pitch black blanket of power from the palm which washes over an enemy, surrounding them, as a cylindrical seal of violet power surrounds their body, affecting them with two painful bursts of anger and hate. [2 Hits of Severe Darkness Damage. May bypass Dark Resistances (but will not Break Instant-Death). May inflict Blind/Fear (1/6 odds each). Cast once every 3 turns. Increased damage against Persona-Users, Brotherhood, or Summoners/Humans.]

Personality: Kind, wise, and generally intelligent, as angels tend to be. However. Ambriel is one of the less-aggressive of the angels, more inclined to guide humans through words than force. She's more-or-less incorruptible, and her lack of dogmatic expression and her interactions with humanity have made her a generally friendly person, sort of the nicer public face of Law. In fact, unlike many angels, she'll even talk with others and listen to them even if they have an alignment very different from her own. Her status as a protective angel means that she may occasionally step in to help a mortal who deserves it, but this is never guaranteed to be the case, and will rarely happen if they have the power to protect themselves.
Bio: Ambriel is an angel. A literal, actual angel, servant of YHVH... or somewhere in His hierarchy, at least, with one of the groups obedient to Law. However, even within the forces of Law, there are a variety of factions. They fight with each other a bit, and have different views, but ultimately they will do as they are told. In Ambriel's case, she's part of the faction that YHVH sends when feeling kinder and less inclined to destroy worlds; known as the Angel of Communication, she's a protective angel that looks fondly upon humanity and works to guide them to the truth (as Law sees it... and less aggressively than other angels might, too). She's recently shown up in Japan, apparently to watch the things that are happening, though her ultimate objective (if there's anything besides observation) remains unknown. Her ultimate boss has been fairly quiet lately, and in His absence, her faction has been trying to step in and convince people to turn to Him so that he will return to the world.

Ambriel is a [Herald]-class demon of the Light-Law alignment.

Ambriel isn't a warrior. However, she has friends who are warriors, and at need can summon any two [Divine] or [Seraph]-class demons to protect her (though only lower Seraphs). These guardians were assigned to her by YHVH, just in case. Of course, she tries to avoid fighting, so they rarely come out... additionally, Light-Law-aligned demons (and all other angels) will refuse to fight her, since their affinities match too closely to oppose each other for anything besides training... and Ambriel will generally step aside for anyone more aggressive anyway. Appearance: Hakama pants with a dark red flame design on them, and a fitting top much like a ninja suit, draping down over his waist in the front. Around his waist are a ring of gold beads, and overlapping his shirt is a dark purple, sleeveless vest, with the Japanese design for clouds etched along them in red as well (like those fluffy orange Naruto clouds o 3o). Along his arms the long sleeves of his undershirt are belted, leading into black and indigo gloves. His hair is short but messy, in kind of a Silabus....Sophora-y...type fashion thing. Shut up, I didn't ask to describe it. He wears black ninja-like sandals. His skin is abnormally pale, as if the sun rarely touched his skin, and his hair is a ghostly white, while his eyes are an eye-catching red. I quit. Imagine the rest, shuddup.

Personality: A cold individual, Akifusa has become calculating not because he was wise from a young age, but because he is the type who fights in cruel measures. He acts extremely polite when speaking to most, but his real heart lies in lies, trickery, and most of all the underhanded methods that are scorned by anyone with a shred of humanity. He will offer you dinner, discuss your future business, offer to marry your beautiful daughter, and then poison your whole home when you rest peacefully that night. Trying to judge Akifusa by anything but the standards of business and money is of course, as if trying to judge a book by a cover...if that book contained nothing but profuse evil, of course.
Bio: Lord of the third party, Akifusa has from a young age been the type to distrust those who fight for loyalties or some misplaced beliefs, since such things can so often contradict one another and lead people to fight. Instead, he always found himself an ally of the impoverished, a master willing to ascertain soldiers only through the 'base' loyalty earned through money. In short, he's a believer in mercenaries. Deprived of his family's reputation, he became disillusioned with things like honor and loyalty when he was still impressionable, and instead of clinging to the past like his family who spoke of the 'good old days' before they were ostracized as criminals and traitors, he simply began his own business by using money to earn the trust of those who dealt in that lucrative form of loyalty, knowing that money could buy what mere respect and honor could never earn. Yes, a traitor could never become rich and famous, with dozens of adoring followers and a home all to himself simply by trying to show his loyalty; and his family had squandered his chances of that long ago. But if he earned money, and poisoned those who spoke out against him, dealing in death and coin instead of respect and hard work, then through that fair game he would become greater than god himself in many aspects!

With his power and the passions of a former general renown for making use of a mercenary army, which most would find too unstable, Akifusa quickly became a prominent members of the Devil Kings of the West and his ability to conjure up victories without an actual battle earned him his place rather quickly. Not many poked their noses into his business, and so very few realized the reason he won 'without resistance' was because there was no resistance to be had. He's a poison user, a briber of officials, the kind of seedy underboss that one would never expect to go far in the real world and yet that are really all too common. Still, Akifusa's gift is also his curse; mercenaries, the only men he truly trusts, cost money, and keeping his identity buried in the past requires work. That is why he acquired his second talent, the one for the dirtiest methods available, and now he has a penchant for killing those who place their undying loyalty in him all while wearing a smile, so long as it either advances his position, or simply because they may have come close to knowing too much about his true nature. Akifusa treads the line between the common man and the greater, lacking the talents of great men but making up for it by killing said great men, and though he was raised an outcast and knows better than most what it is to be the scum of the country, he has walked in the society's highest circles for years, and knows how to treat others with a politician's heart just as well. If there were a word for this cruel and judgmental man, it would undoubtedly be a phantom; after all, no one has ever seen him alive for long, if they weren't paid or paying for the privilege in turn.

She's also used to rejection, and so making bonds with people is a little difficult for her. The fact that her body is covered in tattoos as a result of her transformation doesn't help, not with a country that views tattoos the way Japan does. But it may be that she's stronger than most people think; her outfit consists of tight-fitting leggings that only reach her knees and some sort of... top thing... that preserves her modesty and isn't exactly erotic but isn't super-covering either. And more to the point, Kisa is willing to fight if she has to, and underestimating her is an often-fatal mistake, since she has the pure spirit of a human coupled with the physical and magical power of a demon.

Bio: It's not quite apparent what went wrong in Kisa's life to turn her into the sort of monster she is now. That is, an entity that is half-demon, something of an abomination to purists on either side of the spectrum. However, even among the incredibly small number of people like her (far fewer than the other power types), she's a little bit of an outcast in that her Reason, the alignment she follows, is True Neutral. Or, in another sense, it doesn't actually exist, unlike those who have to stay on the path of Light, Dark, or ordinary Neutral, more commonly known as the choice between Law and Chaos, or staying inbetween. This provides Kisa with a surprising capability of using Magatama aligned with any Reason at will. She hasn't made much in the way of friends so far, however, but when she does make them, she can be startlingly loyal in her own way.

After a series of trials, matters came to a head with Obelyn Cernunnos' campaign of revenge against those who had slaughtered his family, plunging the world into a Conception in which all was nearly lost. In the end, however, the faction that focused on restoring the world - rather than aligning it to an ideology - prevailed... and all the remaining power of humanity, lead by some of its greatest remaining heroes, took down Obelyn himself.

Throughout all of her tests, Kisa has continued to grow in power - and most notably, she's continued to hone her ability to adjust herself in the middle of battle. In addition to the flexible nature of her Magatama powers, Kisa can instantly change her abilities in multiple ways thanks to a set of transformation items she's picked up. The Monster Mask focuses on physical power, the Spirit of Balor Fomorian grants her talent over darkness, and the Gift of Obelyn Cernunnos gives her immense talent with ailments... as well as a god-slaying spear she's quite willing to use to keep deities in line.

What Kisa has ultimately learned through her tests is that, despite everything, her personal power can only take her so far... no matter how much of it she obtains. Rather than aiming to ascend to godhood, as she once did, she now believes that humans must simply be able to choose their own way, and she stands opposed to those who would force everyone to obey a specific ideal. She believes in the right to choose... and fights for what she believes in.

Personality: Titus Martillo was always one of the more easygoing members of the Martillo family (and that's saying something, considering how they are in general). A man with more passion for learning than robbery, he's been known to lock himself in the lab for decades at a time to work on one project or another. A major voice within the Martillo (whenever he's around, anyway), Titus is almost always willing to listen to other people and acts as a voice of reason.

However, one of the downsides to being a true immortal is that memories don't fade so easily... Far more than most, Titus understands the frailty of life, and he takes it particularly hard when his own failures lead to the death of his companions in the Martillo.
Bio: Oh, demons. They love their little pranks, and Titus was actually the very first immortal to consume another, back when none of them were aware that such a thing was possible. That was a particularly traumatic experience for Titus, because the thought had been an idle one while he was embracing his lover, another of the first immortals created. For a pair who were supposed to live forever, their time together was incredibly short... and Titus has never really forgiven himself for this tragedy. It was this accident that led to the other immortals realizing their immortality wasn't quite so perfect after all, and it encouraged the spread of the mafia families over a wider terrain. Titus left the main family during this time, and they let him go, realizing that his then-depressed state might lead to more immortals dying if he completely lost it and decided to try and kill all of them. Heavily upset people weren't exactly known for doing things that made sense, after all. The first hundred years were the worst, where Titus spent a few decades in solitude, unable to age or die. It was feared that he would never truly recover, so the rest of the Martillo, being a very close-knit bunch who hated to see one of their own suffering, eventually hatched a plot to help him recover. Bit by bit, they coaxed him out of depression and into the rest of the world again, playing on his love of study and learning to ask for things only he could manage to do. Several times, it appeared that it wasn't going to work, but literally generations of persistence helped restore him to some semblance of normality.

Mostly freed from the nightmares that had plagued him ever since he killed his lover, Titus truly threw himself into his work, working to learn more about alchemy and avoid ever making such mistakes again. He had all the time in the world to study, after all, and needed less sleep than normal humans did. A lot of his work on the research end was to help create things that the rest of the Martillo could use. They'd saved him, after all, and Titus was extremely determined to save them in return. Over the next hundred and fifty years or so, Titus refined his knowledge as well as his abilities, sharing them with the Clan, even as he kept a few secrets of his own...

It didn't work, but he learned a lot anyway. By manipulating the power of nature around him, Titus is able to create God-Beasts, immensely powerful entities of the classic elements (Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth, plus a Healing one he learned to help the Martillo family) that do most of his fighting for him. Titus is only capable of creating one God-Beast at a time, due to the effort needed to manifest them.
[Creates a "God-Beast" for use in combat. All God-Beasts are immune to Ailments and Instant KO, and Drain their respective Element (this Resistance cannot be Broken/Bypassed by any method). Each also has one Weakness as well (except Healing). God-Beasts may use any non-unique spell/ability associated with their element, including elemental boosts, walls, etc., and in the case of Healing, cure ailments. They can only be truly destroyed if Titus dies for real, but individual God-Beasts can be temporarily banished if they suffer enough damage; God-Beasts beaten this way will be gone for four posts.

As a last resort, Titus can combine all of his God-Beasts, fusing their strengths and voiding their weaknesses. However, this takes a huge amount of energy; it can only last for three posts, and after that Titus will be totally drained of power and unable to continue fighting.

Love Interest: Against all odds and reasons, she's managed to do this, mostly by finding out that someone's soul has already been claimed and they're already a little too insane to be turned... which is the sort of thing that Korina can respect, though it's not going to stop her from trying other methods to get them to sacrifice themselves for her. She has some... disturbingly unique tastes.
Personality: It's a little hard to tell if Korina is entirely sane or not... she's generally a little on the quiet side, and occasionally speaks up to make some point in a conversation that others might have missed. On the other hand, she's deeply, cannibalistically fanatical about her worship (the King in Yellow in particular, related entites to a lesser extent) and spends most of her time reading a twisted book that carries some relation to her powers, almost purposely skirting the edge of madness and loss of control, but she always seems to hold back just enough to be useful and avoid losing herself completely...
Bio: Self-proclaimed 'Priestess of the King in Yellow', it's not immediately clear who Korina is or where she came from... And, perhaps more importantly, Korina is someone who has literally come back from the dead. Courtesy of the power of her patron deity, Hastur, Korina's soul was prevented from entering the cycle of death and rebirth. Instead, it was held in a limbo that would have broken the minds of anyone less shattered than Korina already was, but Korina has something of a... peculiar... relationship with Hastur. The deity seized his chance in the aftermath of the Battle of Sumaru City, when power was flung around in incredible amounts. At the same time as Motonari Mori called forth other deities to help take over Japan, Hastur slipped through the cracks and effectively reincarnated Korina, reforming her body so that once more she could serve his interests in the world. Nowadays, she's busy working as something of an independent agent, particularly as a priestess who's trying to get others to worship her eldritch master.

Of course, others don't always stand idly by, which was how she wound up dealing with some local fellows who had a couple of questions to ask...

Bio: Nagito was born a sickly child, barely making it out of the delivery room alive. He was underdeveloped...And, for the longest time, his family thought he would die before he could even open his eyes. Though he eventually survived...his life wasn't without trouble.
He constantly got sick going through schoolings and such, always barely making the grade because of his many absences, attributed to his own illness..And, even with the miracle of being able to make it into a high school..Disaster struck.
He developed a most foul illness, one that confined him to the hospitals for several years. During that time, he met someone else who was going through similar troubles..a girl that despite her condition, always looked on the positive side of things. Her optimism eventually managed to crack through his nature, and he became good friends with the girl.
When the lockdown started, he knew he had to do what he could to help the girl. And, at one point..a Phone left behind by an absentminded doctor gave him the chance....
Upon selecting his desire to live, he managed to call forth a powerful demonic ally to aid him..Worried that the girl would be afraid. She wasn't however, and thought the fact even someone like him could bring about something as 'Hella Cool' as that..was impressive. He promised her he'd protect her with everything he had...
Before one day, she just didn't wake up. The doctors tried to resuscitate her, but it was to no avail...No act of malice from outside forces..No demons assailing her. She just..died.
After which, Nagito grieved for her, and sought to join the one friend he had. Making off with someone's medication, and hatching the plan for an Elaborate suicide..He hadn't been able to account for the wandering people in the area. They managed to stop his scheme in it's tracks, without knowing truly what it was..and he was apprehended by the Embryon for his app. As it stands, he resides in the Embryon prison....Letting time slip away from him once more.

Bio: Originally borne by Arimina to fight corruption, the twin blades were passed onto her children, who cared for them dearly, beyond mere tools. They were companions in and endless war, their lives were bound together. Ultimately, though, time and suffering took it's toll, and the blades were shattered. While this would be the end for most blades, for these two, it was another beginning. Left in the care of a certain blacksmith of immense skill, they were brought back, stronger, and alive. The love they had felt, the care they were granted, allowed life, a spirit, to come to the blades. Mitsuko and Miyako were born again, and brought through time, to rest, quietly, waiting for their masters. However, through a twist of fate, it was not the girls whose love had allowed them life who ended up finding them, but the past version of Arimina, their mother. Bio: Asleep in her bed, Arimina had a very strange dream. At first, she was floating in a dark, empty, void. Slowly, colours began to swirl around her, some normal, some she had no name for. Out of the colours formed a vast untamed wilderness, and her feet touched the ground. Turning away from the natural beauty, Arimina found what appeared to be an old Japanese shrine building, well taken care of but showing it's age. There were no people, but the door stood open, inviting, so the wolf-girl ventured forward, climbing the stairs and stepping through the portal. Inside was a single man, of indeterminate age, who appeared to be sleeping, as he sit cross-legged on a cushion in the centre of the room. He looked young, but felt old, and there were light streaks of grey through his almost ragged hair. Not knowing what else to do, Arimina sat herself in front of the strange man, and waited. Before long, or possibly an eternity after, it was impossible to tell, the man awoke, and spoke to Arimina. His name was Toboe, a name she had come to know recently, with the arrival of Mono in her life. Toboe had brought her here to meet, and talk, and most importantly, offer her a gift. This gift, a seal he had received from a meeting with one he called truly divine, and had promised to pass on, would change her. She would no longer be a mortal, but not in the same way that her current efforts promised immortality. Arimina would forever be changed, made better. The white-haired woman thought, long and hard, at times getting angry, or sad, before pausing, and asking a single question

"Would I have to leave the ones I love?"

"No."

And with that, Arimina accepted, crushing the seal within her delicate fingers, permanently altering the very core of her being.
