"If he ain't, we can complain to management," Roch told her, trying not to laugh. How did he fall into this so easily? Here he was, pretty certain he'd been given the "Friends" line again, but he was plotting a semi-date--
Oh, who was he kidding, it was SPOOKYLAND!! His mind was already full of visions of wild roller coasters, tons of food, and games to win! Even if Amphi just wanted to be friends it wasn't as if he'd made a complete a** of himself by chasing her around for months, he could totally get away with something like this!

Management? They managed the characters somehow? She just kind of thought the park was their home, so they ran around it all day taking pictures with people ...
Roch had (somewhat) dried off, and they were coming to the little quarter split where the path split to the various dorms. Unusually, Danny didn't head towards the demon dorms, but instead towards the reaper dorms with Roch.
"I think I'll ask Gene," Danny said decidedly.

He choked. "Jack, Danny, you might notta noticed, but Gene has this... eh, oh well. I'll stock up on suckers, it'll keep her mouth shut," he decided. The idea of going on a semi-date with Gene trailing along behind them--
Well, there went ANY chance it'd be romantic. Ever. That was probably good. And hell, knowing Amphi, she'd probably like the ghost ghoul.

"Gene has this what? You can't just start and not finish!" Why did he need to bring lollipops? That was sort of weird. Maybe Gene really liked lollipops?
She socked him on the arm- where the skin was dry of course- and said, "And bring me food too."

"Gene has this way of pointin' really embarrassing crap out," Roch explained. "But hell, this ain't a date, anyway, so I guess it don't matter... When you wanna go? Tomorrow I wanna work on somethin, so that's out... next weekend?"

Danny shrugged. "I dunno. Doesn't matter to me."
Their conversation was winding down, and Danny had reached her stop- Rikki's dorm. She didn't intend to do anything with him, she just felt kind of bad for ditching him at the end of the dance there. Besides, she didn't need an excuse to go to her boilfriend's dorm.
"Mmmmkay. I'll see you tomorrow? Or whenever I guess." she said, leaning against the door. It was locked, so she'd just have to wait til he got back. No big deal. "Think about Amphi, okay?"

"I'm tryin' NOT to," Roch said, waving as he walked away. He had enough thinking about Amphi for the night. He was just gonna have a nice, lazy night with Desiree and probably a six pack of pop--
Or maybe just get some sleep. Sleep was good.
