Leto's miss caused her to slip from the melting block of ice, and she fell on the floor in front of it. From her new position, she could see the sorry state of her work and, hoping to salvage it, tried another Ice Beam.

Ark broke free of the ice in a pose of triumph. Before she could move from that pose she was hit with the Ice Beam again. Her face had just fallen into a 'oh sh!@ this can't be happening' frown.

Leto cheered at her success. In her delight, she went to bro-bump her friend, with a handy Rock Smash to add to the force (because true friendship, she knew, was decided by the strength of her bromantic fists).

The brofist was lost on Ark as she was focusing on breaking free. The handy and sort of painful Rock Smash helped her cause. Now she just had to finish breaking free and quickly move.

Dejected by the lack of returning bump, Leto moped for a moment around Ark. After a while, however, she was her chipper self again and blew an excited Ice Beam towards the Zorua.

Ark was just about to break free when Leto hit her with another Ice Beam. She felt the ice thicken just a bit but it was still weak enough for her to break it some.

Ark was furious to be hit again as she was about to get free! If she could have moved enough to make noise she would have been howling in rage.
Doyle watching the battle sighed. This was going to be a long battle if Leto kept freezing Ark. "Is she that afraid of Ark beating her down?" He asked Genesis.

Genesis had long ago turned her attention to other things. Sadly, a drawn out battle between Leto and her Ice Beam was something that happened frequently enough, and she sought to amuse herself until the end of the battle. When Doyle spoke, she glanced in his direction with a laugh and explained, "She really hates losing."
Leto, hoping to mold the solid structure into the likeness of her missing friend, hit its edges with Rock Smash.

Ark felt that attack all the way through the ice. It was cracked enough that her head was out of the ice and so was her tail and front paws. Soon she would be completely out.
"So does Ark but you don't see her disabling Leto so she can't attack." Doyle replied.

Genesis shrugged, although an amused smile stayed at her lips. "She'll do what she likes," she said simply.
Leto, believing the revealed Zorua to be a work of art under her own two paws, grew excited. Who knew such she held such skills! She really should try pursuing art sometime, she thought to herself.
In the meantime, she directed some decorative stars Ark's way.

Ark flew out of the ice when the stars hit her. She bounced back on the slow side. She then lashed out with another Counter. Curse that rat for all of those Ice Beams! She would make Leto pay one day!
Doyle shook his head and turned back to the battle.

Genesis did likewise, just in time to see Leto release the final blow. A brow raised at that result; she hadn't expected Leto to claim any victories today.
Leto, startled to see her statue move so much, aimed more stars Ark's way, trying to keep up.

Ark was hit with the stars again and flew back. She struggled to get up but even when she did stand up she wasn't conscious. Her fury at Leto was the only thing keeping her up.
Doyle sighed and recalled Ark. He was a little disappointed and shocked to see that Ark had lost. "Good battle. Good luck in the rest of the tourney." He said before leaving the stadium.

Genesis replied with her thanks and, after some struggle, managed to reclaim the very excited Leto back into her Poké Ball. With one last glance about the stadium she, too, made her leave, and waited for the next match.
