The students ran outside and aligned themselves as instructed. "Now class. This will be your final test before graduation. I fully expect each and everyone of you to prove that you haven't been slacking off for three months. It's time to step up and prove that you have what it takes to be molded into a real Shinobi that can proudly protect this village. Are you ready to begin!?" the teacher stands at the far end of the formation, arms folded with eyes hidden behind a set of dark shades. "Yes Sensei!" the class chanted in unison. After a short delay the teacher continues, "Please, open your envelopes. Inside you will have a team number. You have been assorted into teams of 2, and some into teams of three. A timer for twenty-five minutes will begin. Your mission is to see to it that you and your teammates are on their feet when the timer ends. Got it!""Yes Sensei!!" Shiro eagerly slides open the envelope to reveal a sheet with the number ten that slowly fades away."Ok, team ten. So who is my partner?" he said aloud to himself as he searched for a reaction from his fellow classmates as everyone mumbled and clambered trying to determine who their team mate was. A feat that was made quite difficult do to their spread out formation into two parallel lines. As far as he figured, it was likely that everyone's team mate would be on the opposite line. The back and forth of students trying, and failing to whisper, gesture, and otherwise signal their team numbers without notice was put to an immediate end when the teacher yelled "Begin!" in a series of cloud explosions kid sized dolls formed and took an offensive stance. Before he knew what was even going on, one was already gunning it for him. Shiro started the long process of forming hand seals to activate the Byakugan to hopefully give him a much needed edge in at least protecting himself from being on the ground when the timer ended. Nisha followed the other students out into the training area, taking deep breaths along the way getting herself ready for the coming test whatever may come. "Yes Sensei" . She said in reply to the teacher as he talked about the students becoming real Shinobi and the fact that they will one day protect the village, she smiled a little as she though about that and the future, and what type of ninja she would be in the future, but now it was time to prove their skill and that all the training wasn't for nothing. Flipping the envelope she had been given back in the class out again she peeled the flap along one of the edges opening it, and removing the sheet inside flipping it over to reveal the number ten, with that she looked up and around the class looking for whoever had been put together with her, people began pairing off or were in a team of three, she heard from the other line someone call out the number ten, while asking who their partner was, it sounded like Shiro, Nisha made her way over only for the test to begin as she make it closer. "I also have the number ten" . Nisha said as she got closer to Shiro, as she approached, a dust cloud appeared, an a child sized wooden dolls stood in the fading dust, just long enough for people to recognize them before they dashed towards one of the team member to begin the test. Nisha was caught off guard for a moment by the sudden attacking motion of the dolls, as she looked at the doll from behind, seeing on its back was a large number ten, likely there so it is easier for the teacher to track how each team was doing while facing they own dolls. Looking past it, following the motion of it's attack it was clearly heading towards Shiro as he began doing hand seals, Nisha put her hands together going though the hand seals needed to active her Byakugan, before moving in and pushing on the back of the doll with her palm attack. While Nisha was weak in the physical part of her training she was still a member of the Hyuuga clan and had been shown the basics of gentle fists, not really the best combat style for wooden dolls, and while in school had learned the basics of combat, in this case her goal was simple, knock it off balance, by pushing its forward and knocking it over as it was moving toward Shiro.

Shiro continued weaving the seals to activate the Byakugan, but as the doll moved closer and closer he feared that he wouldn't be able to make it in time. In the final moments he finished off the last of the hand signs, yelling "Byakugan!" as he activates his clans signature ability, granting him augmented vision and awareness. All at once he gained a survey of the entire battle field, where everyone was standing as well as where their direct opponent was. He also was able to pick up on Nisha landing a solid blow to the dolls back, sending it stumbling forward towards him. Wasting no time, Shiro raised both palms and extended them forward, planting both open palms agains the dolls chest and launching it back once again. The force of being brought to a complete stop, then having its momentum redirected caused the doll to rattle briefly just before shattering into several wooden ligaments that scattered across the ground. Shiro stood in awe of their achievement, not only where they both standing. But they had taken down their target with relative ease. Looking forward he noticed Nisha standing afair, "Nishaa!!! Way to go! We got em!!!" he cheered, throwing her a firm thumbs up. Around them the rest of the students where still engaged in combat. Despite having taken down theirs with time to spare, he still felt an obligation to assist with the rest. Although it was only a drill, they were all Shinobi in training. The only thing that could make him happier than graduating, is seeing all of his friends make it with him. "Right! Let's help Nisha!"
he said as he turned, flinging both arms behind his back while leaning forward into a full on sprint towards team eights doll. He approach from behind and with the deadly precision of the Hyuuga clan, Shiro Quote: I had this post written and complete on a tab, only needing the color tags. Nisha palm pressed into the dolls back hard as she used the Hyuuga clans gentle fist striking method, pushing a small amount of chakra into the open hand strike tipping the dolls balance off as she pushed it forward, the footing of the doll off balanced by the strike stumbled forward a little, as the doll stumbled Shiro moved swiftly taking advantage to land a solid hit on the doll. The clash was swift, Shiro's form was a lot better then Nisha's, likely because he had practiced with this a lot more then she had over the years, his palms pushing on the dolls chest followed by a small force of chakra empowering the strike more blowing the doll back, the violent forces placed on the doll by the sudden changes in direction, left the doll shaken before it fell apart dropping in parts on the ground. With a stunned look on her face Nisha was taken aback by the doll faling apart after Shiro's attack, it was so easy all the worry that she had been dealing with for the past few days and it was over in a matter of seconds, as she watch the parts of the doll rock a little on the ground she was drawn back up by Shiro speaking up and holding up a thumbs up, she returned a thumbs up. "Yeah that was a lot less nerve wracking then I thought it would be." . She said still holding up her thumb up, as she still looked at the doll's bits her Byakugan still sending her information on the other people around her dealing with their dolls, a few had taken them down and were recovering, but something felt off by the doll still, it was likely her being paranoid, listening to Shiro talk about helping the others. Nisha watched Shiro as he began to start running off, something felt off as she looked at the dolls bits. "Wait, wait, it went down too easy we probably have to seal it or destroy it fully, during that lesson on missions Sensei was talking about how while on missions you need to capture enemies or kill them during missions, so they are dealt with properly" . Nisha said as she got down and pushed the dolls bits together, before picking up the head of the doll, and running after Shiro. "Shiro where is your envelop, I think we need the cards to seal the doll before we finish the test" . Nisha said as she ran over to Shiro, but not entering the fray with him as he helped team eight with their doll, if it was like theirs it would be simple to knock it apart, her own sheet of paper had been stuck over the number on the back of the doll using her chakra to seal them together. Team eight was a pair team just like Shiro and Nisha are, but the members were Jurou and Yui, Jurou was standing to the side storing up energy for something, while Yui and Kiba her pet dog, were holding the the doll in place attacking it from ether side. With a loud rawr signalling to Yui, who whistled to Kiba to pull back, Jurou pushed off the ground into the air, before swinging his arm down towards the doll, his forearm and hand growing in size as he brought it down on the wooden doll breaking it apart and then crushing the doll under his fist. Yui Inuzuka and her partner Kiba were from the Inuzuka, like Shiro she had taken a focus on in the medical field and wanted to become a veterinarian when she was older, Yui had recently just past 5 feet in her latest growth spurt, long dark chocolate hair tied back in a ponytail with red high lights, Yuis bright green eyes and the traditional Inuzuka fang markings on her cheeks, cast a striking figure as she fought with the doll, while Kiba her partner Inuzuka dog joined her in formation, his fur matching Yui's hair being dark chocolate with red tones in it, but his eyes matched his coat a dark chocolate colour.

Quote: Fine with me. I just knew I was gonna be busy this week so I was trying to give you the option to close it out early so I wouldn't be holding you up. But the holiday season appears to be over at work. Things should be settling out now. From over his shoulder he could hear Nisha shouting something for him but he couldn't quite make out what she was saying due to the sounds of battle and the wind flowing through his ears. He did manage to catch the part about his envelope, he was also able to distinguish the urgency in her voice, what ever she was saying it was probably important. In an effort to hear her better Shiro turns his head and glances over his shoulder just in time to make out her instructions about sealing the doll but not before running smack into the back of one of his classmates Jurou who had just slammed down out of nowhere, taking both the number eight doll and Shiro to the ground with it. The doll broke into several segmented pieces, just as the number ten doll did, fortunately for him Shiro was made up of tougher stuff than the crude chakra infused puppet. He was a little banged up, kimono torn, and a few scrapes but otherwise he was alright. Curling up onto one knee, Shiro panted until he had captured enough breath to rise to his feet. Before he could shake the dizzyness from the crash his stomach began to turn as his nerves stood on end, screaming alarm into his system from the impeading danger. He wasn't even completely conciously aware of what it was at first, all he could gather was that two foreign objects had entered his sphear of vision that weren't there before, and more troubling, their trajectory only gave him a few moments to react before they would collid with where he was standing. In one preciese moment of quickness Shiro tucked himself down, flinging both hands behind his back in the process. He tried to time it perfectly so that he could snatch the objects out of the air and use the momentum of the fall to thrust up and outward to send what ever they were back in the same path that it took to reach him. Unfortunately, even if his visual prowess gave him such a heightened state of awareness he was ultimately still at the mercy of his bodies capability to react. He could see the exact degree by which he had to position himself to perform the manuver but that didn't mean jack of he couldn't get himselt set in time to pull it off. The first object snapped into his right hand, landing perfectly as he had predicted, it was a cylandrical rod made of wood, completely flat at the tip, clearly blunted as to not cause any real harm. The other one however grazed his palm but he was unable to grab fast enough to stop it from moving, rather he altered its path just enough to wiggle his shoulder out of the way as he twisted around and rose while simultaniously flinging the rod that he had managed to catch back towards the number ten doll which had already managed to reassemble itself and stage an attack. Between him and the doll was Nisha, he had saw her, but hadn't had time to process her into the eqution. He had reacted more out of instinct than anything. By the time he realized it was too late to call off the counter attack. The bes the could do was to yell out a warning to her mid flight. "Nishaaaa! Duck!" he yelled as the wooden missle twisted through the arm aimed for its primary target that existed behind her.

ele360 That is fine and that sounds pretty nice, are you looking forward to it? So we are rounding things out thenWith doll eight smashed into the group and broken, Yui who had been listening to the on coming Nisha who was holding doll tens head in her arms, heard her mention sealing the doll with they team numbers, Yui took hers out and placed it over face of the doll making it stick with a little bit of chakra to hold the paper on it. Jurou stood up and then looked over at Shiro who had been caught up in the shock wave of his attack. "Oh sorry about that Shiro didn't see ya there" . Jurou said in a deep voice with a joking tone to it, as Yui came up and got his envelop from him, taking his envelop and his number placing it on the doll, with the numbers sealed onto the dolls body it went limb fully before the doll turned into dust. Nisha was standing off to the side of the battle holding the dolls head, her paper applied to the face of it, held in place with chakra as she watch Shiro and the others, due to her focus being on Shiro she noticed that wooden projectiles as he did, watching him react to them with his Byakugan, catching one out of the air as he twisted his body and preformed the motions needed to intercept the wooden dolls attack, managing to get one but the other was just a little too fast, but he managed to changed it path just enough to not take any damage from it, and sent the one he caught back at the dolls main body. Nisha watching the scene play out, noticed that she was in the path of the attack now, and as the wooden block rushed at her she used her speed to side step it, using very little energy thanks to her Byakugan giving her the information needed to avoid it using only her agility to avoid it, as she did so she moved forward running towards Shiro. Shiro where is you envelop?, remember how the teacher was going on about, how during the last ninja war it was important to seal or capture your enemy after you have defeated them" . Nisha said as she held up the dolls head part of it sealed with her sheet of paper from the envelop telling her which team she was in, and she took a deep breath to recover. "With how easy it went down the goal is to seal it, not beat it" . She said excitedly, as the headless tenth doll was slowly raising, looking around as if looking for its missing head. With Shiro placing his sheet onto the dolls head and sealing it, the dolls body that had been moving towards them went limb and fell into a pile of wood before the body and head began to crumble into dust. "Awesome it worked, thanks Shiro" . With a bright smile as it crumbled on her face Nisha hugged Shiro, before taking a moment to look around the class, when doing so most of the class had beaten their dolls, as easily, one solid hit seems enough to knock them down, only for them to raise a few moments later and begin the assault again, only after sealing the doll would it disappear, everyone had been able to past the test before the twenty-five minutes time limit. Jurou and Yui had walked over to join up with Nisha and Shiro. "Looks like we all managed to seal the dolls, that was a lot easier then I thought it would be" . Yui said cheerfully as she stood with Jurou, holding Kiba her puppy in her arms. Jurou came up and wrapped his arm around Shiro as he came up to them, and then cheerfully apologized. "Hey Shiro, sorry again about not noticing you as I attack and getting you caught in the shock wave, but man that was easy, just show how strong we have gotten" . Jurou said as he had a massive smile on his face and looked at Yui who nodded in agreement, Nisha agreed as she turned back into the group. "I hope we have done enough to pass" .

Quote: Yes lets wrap up. Sorry again to keep you waiting. The new clan system took a lot of work. But it's done now. We can move out of the academy and link up with some other players. Maybe a mission is in order ninjaAs the final doll fell to the sealing jutsu implanted in the envelope the instructor reappeared in a grey cloud of smoke holding a rather large scroll tucked securely under his arm pit. Reaching up with his free hand to readjust his glasses or perhaps to disguise the swelling teas in his eyes as he did so. The once strict Sensei had dropped all lingering bravado in order to properly congratulate his beloved students. "Konoha Class 113!""Yes Sensei!" the class screamed in response while scrambling to return to their original formation. The teacher lifted the scroll high above his head, show casing it to the group before snatching off the seal and rolling it straight out onto the ground like a carpet. "Please, line up single file....step onto the scroll one at a time to receive your final grades. If you have passed for the year, you will be recieving your head bands at this time and will officially be inlisted as a full fledged Shinobi. Remember everything that I have taught you, respect your superiors and never forsake the will of fire that has been instilled in you as a member of our great nation and I promise you will thrive. Most importantly, honor your comrades. Even more so than your personal ability, your comrades will be your greatest strength. With that being said, let's begin" One after another the students took a step onto the scroll. Unsurprisingly most everyone that did so received their graduation reward. Before too long it was Shiro's turn to step onto the scroll. When he did so however a head band did not immediately summon. First, words from his sensei were in order. "Shiro..." his voice dipping and his brows turning inward, "Listen to me carefully. You may find that the trials of being a Shinobi comes with relative ease to you. As a member of the Hyuuga clan, it is all but assured that you will receive the personal training needed to become a great Ninja. That fact was evidenced by your ability to take down the first doll in the class, and I commend you for lending assistance to your allies. However, if it hadn't been for your partner you would have been taken off guard when the doll respawned. A shinobi must look through deception. The eyes that your bloodline gifted you are great in combat, but in order to see, one must look. Do not let your hubris cause you to let your guard down in the field, even a great Shinobi can be killed with a simple Shuriken if it lands." As the teacher finished preaching his final lesson. A enscribed circle, with the name Shiro written in the middle appeared on the scroll before conjuring a metalic head band with the Leaf symbol engraved upon it. "Congradulations Shiro. Starting tomorrow you are gennin!"

Quote: That is fine, well it should be fun, and reading the changes has been fun I kinda feel the Hyuuga clan might need some more stuff but that might be my biasNisha was standing near Shiro and the others while looking around at the rest of the class, as they finished off there dolls and sealed them quickly, once all the dolls were sealed the teacher appeared in a cloud of smoke with a large scroll in his arms as he looked around the class, a shine in his eye as he looked at his student and how far they had come along sense walking into his classroom all those years ago, before calling out to get them to line up as he unrolled the scroll before them. Jurou and Yui were before Shiro and Nisha, Jurou was the first stepping on the scroll for a moment before a steel ninja plate appears in his hands, Jurou smiled a small tear escaping the corner of his eye as he moved to the side, Yui holding Kiba in her arms as she got up on the scroll a moment passed and two bands appeared, one smaller around Kiba's neck, and another around Yui's, she squeezed Kiba a little more as she nods to the teacher before joining up with Jurou teasing him about crying. Nisha was up first and walked up to the scroll stepping on it carefully, as she stood there for a moment before looking at the teacher as he smiled and spoke up. "It been a long road to this day Nisha, you need to be more confident in yourselves, it was you who noticed, or maybe better to say remembered that you need to capture the target, even if it is defeated, and your not the frail little girl who had just recovered from a illness anymore, your a Genin of the Leaf village starting tomorrow, and just as strong as the others, but remember the greatest ninja play to their strengths and have comrades to cover their weaknesses, so be confident in your abilities and find your strengths and build on them" . The teacher said with a smile as a summoning symbol appeared and a steel ninja head band appeared before Nisha as she takes it and walks off to the side. Nisha was crying a little as she held the band tightly to her chest, it was proof she had been able to overcome the illness she had to deal with when she was little, and follow after her parents and brother, and even began on the road of her dream to experience the world she had only been able to read while sitting in the hospital, this band was the first step in that dream, Yui was next to her and was rubbing Kiba on her face, Kiba was licking Nisha face making her laugh, Jurou smile and then gave her a hug, while they were waiting on Shiro, who had just stepped on the scroll, locked with the teacher for a moment before getting his headband. The day came to a close with the class in high moral, all of them had graduated, and would be moving onto the next stage of they ninja training, and moving towards the focused fields of of ninja work, but for today as the day closes and everyone leaves many were picked up by their families to celebrate they graduation, Nisha waved goodbye to her friends and even Shiro her cousin as they headed off home, NIsha's brother had come to pick her up at the end of the day patting her head lightly as the walked home to celebrate the day and for what will come tomorrow. Yakatori Yomi It had been a week since his conversation with the ninja his father met. While still hesitant his father had agreed to let him join the academy. After the conversation with the Leaf ninja his father Lillick sat him down. “I know we haven’t had many serious talks since your mother passed but there is are a few things I need to discuss with you before you get ready to head to the academy. ” His voice was stern and his eyes were filled with worry, he had not seemed this distressed since his mother passed Yakatori prepared for the worst. “You are aware what caused the civil war correct boy? ” Yakatori nodded and sat down at their kitchen table, his father walked briskly through the house closing up the windows and and locking the front and back doors in their tiny house on the edge of town. He sat down at the table across from him, slouched, and let out a sigh. “Good ” he said “I won’t have to relive that story again then .” He paused for a second before he continued “ There is more than one reason why our kind has never become a ninja up until now, we are met to bring peace to the dead and to be one with all living things but as you experienced our power in the wrong hands could bring devastating repercussions .” Yakitori felt like he was being scolded for something that he hadn’t of even done yet. “Look Dad I think this might be the right path for me ” his words lacking confidence in front of his stern father “ I feel like I can actually make a difference, and maybe this is what I was suppose to do with our clan’s abilities all along .” His father sat in silence staring at him blankly; Yakitori started up again “Just maybe I can use my powers to protect the living instead of just freeing the dead, sometimes I wonder if this is what Mom was preparing me for! ” His voice now was growing with his excitement, he looked up from the table and glanced at his father who now had tears in his eyes. “I shouldn't have brought mom ” Yakitori thought to himself he looked up to make eye contact with his father “I promise you I will not turn out like him .” He was referring to Hargon but did not dare mention his name in front of his father, his eyes were locked on to his father’s wondering how he would respond. His father reached down into his pocket and pulled out a tightly rolled tobacco leaf, he grabbed a small pair of scissors that had been sitting on the table and cut off one end of it before he stuck it his mouth while lighting the other end with a match. He leaned back his head and exhaled a cloud of thick smoke before he spoke “I don’t think anyone could become a monster like that ” his eyes now returning to meet Yakatori’s “I would be lying though if I said I wasn’t worried, look boy, if you think this is your path then I want you to face it head on and don’t look back. You have my blessing but I want you to remember what power is to be used for, protect those around you and bring a good name to your clan ” he said with a faint smile appearing on this face. “Perfect ” he shouted “I’m going to head to the academy right away! ” “Hold on one second ” his father muttered through a puff of smoke “The ninja from earlier has agreed to teach you some basics in exchange for some of my hunt, if you rush in right away I’m sure they will flunk you immediately, after you get some paying jobs I expect to be reimbursed for the lessons .” The words fell out of his mouth with the smoke as a his grin grew. “You have your mother's blood and talent so you should be just fine ” his voice cracked as he held back his emotions. He cleared his throat and continued “Speaking of which this brings me to my last order of business. ” Yakitori was confused what did his mother have to do with him becoming a ninja and why is he bringing it up now? Lillick took a final draw from his makeshift cigarette before putting it on in the ash tray. “ Your Mom’s sister has a boy sent here to be a ninja here in the Hidden Leaf. I’m not sure if you know the boy but you have seen him during the clan meetings and maybe even during your training at the head branches estate. ” Yakitori grew excited “someone from my clan is here !” His father continued “Even I, despite my lack of ability can see someone's soul power, you will know him when you see him. His power isn’t immense it just looks strange ” he said while trailing off. Yakitori instantly knew who he was talking about, he had never had a conversation with his cousin but remembered a boy a few years older then him with a ponytail with a particularly odd spirit reading. He never saw the boy playing with the other kids in his clan and when he looked at him he seemed a little out of place, Yakitori wondered if this guy even knew who he was. Lillick continued cutting off Yakitori’s train of thought “ I've been talking back and forth with his family through mail, they sent him here from the Land of Rain and I have given the head clan my word that he has a place to stay with during his duration here. I want you to befriend him, even if your personalities crash he is still family and the only person that knows what you are going through and what you have went through boy. Treat him well, he might be the head of our clan one day it would be nice to get in his good books now. ” his father said with a wink. “Now i'm sure I have chatted your ear off long enough, go find our ninja friend Gal, he is willing to give you some pointers but I doubt that he is going to sit around all day and wait for you. ” Lillick rose unlocked and opened the door “adventure awaits son ” he said awaited the boy's response. Yakitori stood, his brain still processing all the information his father had given him he had questions for the man but now was not the place, there would be plenty of time for questions later. “Thank you father, I will do my best to bring honor to our household, our clan and mother ” Yakitori said with a quick bow before he rushed out the door, he was halfway down the street before he looked back to see if his father had been watching him. The door was shut and the shutters were drawn even from the distance he could see pockets of smoke escaping through the cracks of the shutters “the talk must have been more difficult for him ” he thought while rushing towards Gal’s house (the ninja that his father befriended) but he had bigger concerns than his father now, he was about to become a ninja. The week with Gal seemed to fly by. The ninja had taught Yakitori as much as he could in the time that he had. Gal would return from a mission and began to teach him the basics. When Gal wasn't around or when he finished his training for the day he found himself at the Leaf’s library soaking in all the information that his mind would let him about the ninja world. He walked toward the academy and reflected about all he had learned this week. He had learnt how to focus his chakra to build his chakra through concentration and how to focus it to different parts of his body as well as learn the theory behind using different techniques, or as the ninja referred to them as : Jutsu’s. He had learnt that through hand seals, chakra, and elemental attunements ninja could accomplish great and devastating feats. He read of one ninja from the Stone Village that could create mountains with nothing but the Earth around him while another from the Village of the Mist could summon a giant tidal wave, large enough to take out a village. “Such power ” Yakitori thought to himself “I wonder if one day I will be able to move the mountains and part the sea’s. ” During his time with Gal he learned to crucial pieces of information that would help on his way to becoming a good ninja: the first was that the element that would be easiest for him first to master was Earth, while the second thing he learned is that clan’s abilities allowed him to do something pretty useful for the ninja community. Figuring out his element had been a relatively easy process know as the paper test. After Gal had taught him how to focus his chakra to different parts of his body he handed the teen a small piece of off colored paper. “Focus your chakra into that paper kid ” he said sitting on a stump during one of their rushed sessions. Yakitori breathed deeply and closed his eyes picturing the chakra flowing in from his heart, through his arm, into his fingertips and finally into the paper. When he opened his eyes he was surprised to see the piece of paper turn brown and begin to crumble. “Earth eh? That’s not too shabby you can certainly learn how to change the course of a battle and even the battlefield itself if you use that correctly. ” The second thing he learned is that through his training with his mother and from his time in the forest. He could feel the souls of the living around him and in a small area he could tell how many living creatures were around him. Once Gal discovered this he asked him how he was able to do it, Yakitori panicked, not wanting to give away where he was from or what clan he was a part in, he responded that it was as gift he had always had. Gal sensed his lies and responded “ Keeping secrets is one of the first steps to being a real ninja I’m glad you are getting the hang of it. ” his eyes seemed pleased and he smiled as he continued to talk “ However you are doing it we refer to that in the ninja business as being a sensory type you should consider yourself lucky. ” Even though his rushed training with Gal had taken place this week it had felt like it happened ages ago. Yakatori’s mind snapped back to the present as he neared the doors of the academy. Did he learn enough? Was he even capable of being a real ninja? And who was this cousin of his and what was he like? These were questions that he did not have the answers for, and the answers weren't going to come to him if he just sat around waiting, so with a deep breath and boost of courage he opened the doors to the ninja academy. It was not entirely what he was expecting. The building seemed more like a school rather than a place where people learned the ninja arts, although in saying that he didn’t really know what it was to fully be a ninja so maybe this was exactly how it was suppose to look. There was a lady sitting at the front desk. He thought that she didn't even notice him, eyes never moved from the papers that she was speed reading and then scribbling on. The air in the the building was slightly warmer than outside and the leather outfit his father made for him started to make him sweat. He walked slowly towards the desk pulling down the piece of fabric that covered his mouth and nose down to his neck. Before he even had the chance to open his mouth the lady said “name and reason for coming. ” Her voice was devoid of emotion and she didn't stop to look up or slow her working pace. “Yakitori Yomi mam and I am here to be a ninja ” he stammered nervously. Her pen stopped moving and she lifted her head to get a good look at him. Readjusted her glasses and squinting she said “Yomi you say? We just had one of you roll through here not too long ago. He was quite the surprise I wonder what your going to do? Show me how you have learned to use chakra. ” Yakitori thought to himself what might impress the women his head shifted from side to side. The entrance of the academy was empty if he screwed up now there would be no one to watch him fail, this thought gave him a brief moment of relief before he realized that if he did screw up he would be put in a class full of snot nosed brats and then his failure would be evident throughout the year. “What did the other Yomi boy do? ” he asked hesitantly he was interested to see techniques someone in his clan had use to pass, maybe he might be able to piggyback off his hard work. The lady at the desk seemed annoyed by his question. “I don’t recall asking you to ask questions about our other graduates, if you came here simply to be nosey and to waste my time then I have more important matters to attend to ” she said with a heavy annoyance in her voice. She then continued to look back over her papers and scribble on them. Had he failed already? Is this where is path to be a ninja would end? He pushed these thoughts out of his head. Now that she wasn't paying attention to him the pressure seemed to melt away. He would give it his best, and hopefully with a struck of luck and a bit compassion she might reconsider. He cleared his mind and focused on his breathing. He felt his chest move in and out and slowly shut out his outside surroundings. He focused on his soul, it felt like a completely different different form of energy from chakra, a type of energy that he was far more familiar than chakra. He felt his soul begin to expand slowly begin to expand filling the room and eventually surrounding the building. It took every ounce of willpower and concentration to remain in this state and he hoped one day, he would be able to use this on the fly without even thinking about it. All of a sudden he felt them all at once, every man, woman, boy and girl in the academy. He did not know who they were or how strong they were but he could feel their souls. The women at the desk was halfway through scribbling through what seemed like a book, before she heard Yakatori speak. “38 ” he said softly she looked up from her books and back at the boy “I didn’t even notice that you were still here, what did you just say? ” she said seeming slightly perplexed. Yakatori’s eyes widened as he spoke up “38! There is 38 people in this building right now. ” A smirk appeared across the woman's face, Yakitori felt more afraid of her smile then here generally look of distaste. “What do we have here? A sensory type? I believe your kind is a hot commodity these days. ” What did she mean by sensory type ?” he thought to himself. She must have sensed his confusion because she followed up with “ It’s where you can sense those around you it’s great for setting up ambushes as well as preventing them from happening to your team. ” Yakatori stood in silence wondering if he had passed or not. She continued “If you have a ability you should at least know what it’s called and what it’s used for. In case you are wondering that qualifies you for a pass in my books ” she let out a sigh as she continued “It’s better than what most of the students can do in here. ” She reached in her desk and pulled out a headband with a metal plate in the centre and in the centre of that the symbol of the Village of the Leaf. The true mark of the ninja. She placed on the desk in front of her and slid it towards him “Here take this, Yakitori Yomi was it? I’ll start your paperwork and someone should be in contact with you shortly regarding your team and your first missions. ” She put her head down and continued to work. Yakatori grabbed his headband and held in his hands and the realization finally hit him. “I’m a ninja! I’m an actual ninja! ” his mind was racing. He watched lady worked and bowed promptly to her. “Thank you so much! I will do my best to uphold the ninja code! ” he shouted with excitement. “Could you not yell, some of us have work to do, I told you already we will be in contact with you in regards to your team, now have a nice day ” She seethed annoyed from underneath her paperwork. Yakatori bowed again, he reached down to and brought the piece of fabric back up around his nose and mouth. Staring down at his headband in disbelief he tied the end together and placed it around his neck. He was almost to the door before the lady spoke again “I forgot to tell you but congratulations. ” He didn’t look back but he had a smile plastered on his face underneath his mask. His hands pushed open the academy doors he had entered hopeful and left a ninja. He couldn't wait to meet his team and to see where this adventure would take him. Word Count:3000

"They're coming for you Jaya. Get out of here, now!
"She's made up her mind. We need to get moving." Aaylo said.

"No, i'm not leaving without you!"

"There's nothing for me out there Jaya. Nothing like this, What I've worked for not what I just stole."

"We're losing out window of opportunity here..." Aaylo exclaimed.

"There's us. We made it on our own all the way up to this point and we can do it again. There's green on the other side I swear, please..."

"That's what the orphanage used to always tell me..."

Her green eyes stared into total darkness for over half an hour as she laid in her bed. Physically she was exhausted after the training that she received today; totally different than what she world improvise on her own. "So these are the first few steps huh" she asked herself. The first few steps in becoming a Shinobi. The first few steps in making sure that nobody will ever hurt her again. But she would be lying to herself if that was the reason she tampered with her sleep patterns.

The academy student still couldn't get over the fact that there should have been another bed occupied. Her best friend, her only friend that had her back through thick and thin had decided to forge her own path. The two of them were slaves for an underground organization and the lifestyle that they earned was worth more to her friend than personal freedom. They could have did all they can: expensive meals, comfortable beds, top art training gear. At the end of the nights and days they were still slaves. She wiped her face and placed it back behind her head. "I'll come back for you. Not today, not tomorrow. But I'll rescue you."

And even if she didn't want to be rescued, which she hoped to God that wasn't the case, then Tagas had go down anyway. He had to get delivered justice. She felt exhaustion in her eyes more heavily than before and took it as a sign. She was going to need her energy for tomorrow and her body to heal too. The academy student rolled to her side, closed her eyes and finally and let the night take over.

The next morning she was one of the few that were early for training. Her body language and physique had told the rest of the students that she knew a thing or two about self defense. It also told them that she was fresh meat as well. They didn't try to press their luck however and snap for a bite. They kept their focus elsewhere and so did Jaya. Moments past until they saw another person walking. "I hope everybody got a good night's sleep." It was one of the teachers of the academy that was assigned to them. "And in case you guys were not aware we have a new student with us that came in yesterday afternoon." The teacher held out a closed palm towards her, gesturing to introduce herself.

"Jaya. The name is Jaya." she stated.

Jaya Seldab: Academy Student Most of the students seemed friendly,  giving nods one by one. Others stayed quiet which was what Jaya expected. Maybe they would open up to here as her days here would pass;perhaps they wouldn't. Aaylo spoke of the academy, explaining that in addition to her first steps, it would either be a slow or fast process for her. Some students took as much as weeks ,perhaps months to understand the fundamentals of becoming a shinobi. Others who picked up information faster only needed days before they were ready to take on their destiny as a ninja.
"As you guys know this academy teaches the fundamentals of becoming a shinobi. Or in the case of the ladies, kunochi." Her teacher stood at nearly the same height as her. From a bit of the wrinkles in some sections of his face, she had to assume that he was getting to his late twenties. With his muscular definition that would send normal women over their heels and men grow insecurity, missing meals wasn't an option, nor training. And Like Jaya he didn't have clothing that reflected on his clan like the students.

"Today we'll be going over ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is harnessing the mystical arts and its abilities to aid yourself in battle." Her teacher explained. His arms went behind his back. " It is one of the three forms a ninja must know.  Some of you will exceed quicker than some, and some of you will discover that perhaps you will need to devout more time. But under no circumstances should it be dismissed from your arsenal." Perhaps in the past one could focus and become extraordinary in one category but his personal goal was to make well rounded shinobi, not just one trick shinobi.

"Let's warm up, then we'll get things started." Her teacher without warning began to jog, causing the other students to get the hint and follow behind one by one by rank. After the next student she saw began moving, she moved in behind the pack in last place. Her heart began to pump more blood and send her body into the sweet spot when she was remembering what Aaylo said about Ninjutsu. What he spoke about it, her teacher was on the money. Whether or not her teacher was going to dive into the specific elements that were involved was still in the air. A vault over an obstacle as they began to move outside of the academy paused her thinking. And another vault with few of the students simply going around them.

From the speed she was still able to maintain, her stamina and lack of acid building in her muscles she had passed a few students that took glances at her. She kept her vision in front of her when a front flip was unleashed from the teacher. "Warm up huh?" It was looking like a sneak peek into a hell session. Weed out the people who didn't take it serious enough. A small few performed the same vault techniques over the long table, while only one made an attempt for a front flip. Jaya picked up speed for a brief moment, jumped with her knees tucked in and arms in. One second she was looking toward the ground,  the next she was running again. This time the volume of her breaths began to dial up a notch.

Jaya Seldab: Academy Student. Chapter 1: Newfound Power Jaya's muscles ached and vibrated terribly underneath the continuous stream of water.  Her head was down, exhausted while she watched individual flows of water branch from her hair to the floor. She had been drained of her energy back when she was with Tagas; forcefully working with him. But this was different,  a different type of exhaustion. When she was strictly fighting the drain she felt of her body was something she was used to when she recovered. But this training she was going through was pushing her body into zones that she never thought she had, let alone thought was possible.

It had been weeks since she arrived at the academy in hopes of obtaining new strength;new power to save Aaylo, her best friend and the rest that were imprisoned. Coming to the academy she was aware of taijutsu, and discovered more avenues of offense and defense as a shinobi and kunochi.  When it came to utilizing ninjutsu, Jayla had appeared to get the hang of the art. At times she could barely remember the hang signals necessary,  less alone perform the technique with the optimal strength behind the jutsu. Other days she could perform them with ease. Jayla worried little about the Flux of the learning curve. In the end she was becoming better in the art. Which also meant that she was slowly and surely becoming more than just aone trick pony her teacher called her out on.

When it came to the warm ups and physical activities Jayla excelled the most. She had sensed with zero mystical abilities that she was already creating seeds of jealously from her peers. Rather than swallow their pride or even attempt to learn a thing or two, they chose to silently judge her. It was nothing special to her. Held against her will, as a taijutsu fighter Jaya was in the same setting. With her sparring sessions with the other students, only a few could seem to utilize their game plan against Jaya. That was the opposite however with her teacher. She was good when it came to her offense that carried her in her days as a taijutsu slave under Tagas. She could pull off combos easily and avoid attacks as fast rates and more efficient than her peers. It only hid her weaknesses that her teacher found out when they would engage in combat.

"Your stamina becomes weak as fights progress. Its natural of course but you've been able to get away with victories from your quickness and offense. Once you encounter someone that won't let you obtain that glory, that's when windows start to open." Being a woman had nothing to do with it; men her size and weight at the academy she could out perform. But her last match with her teacher  was nothing like that.  With her stamina being weak, attacks that she was normally dodging and countering took more effort. Strikes that she was able to pull off were missing by fractions; Jaya along with her peers noticed. Then it was the fall of her defense.  The attacks that her teacher was using on her  cause pain in nearly the entire region. Shots that got her shin it was as if her entire leg was hit. With shots like those and lacking the proper strength to take the hits along with the stamina,  it didn't take much going into later rounds to have jaya on her knees. Genjutsu was new and yet one of the most easiest it seemed for her to pick up, right next to taijutsu. Afterwards she slipped into fresh clothes from her shower and headed to the library.

It was an area that she found herself traveling to a lot since she discovered about genjutsu. It was from what her teacher described, using the mental aspect of combat to confuse your enemy; break down their mental barriers. Something told her that it was a category that alot of shinobi would disregard.

Their teacher made sure that they would respect it and see the benefits that came with the mind of shinobi. Her headaches that she would have after the genjutsu sessions were unlike any normal headaches. It felt like she was sparring mentally against an opponent. Only with genjutsu Jaya soon began to discover and unravel the fact that she would recover faster; thus being able to practice genjutsu often. This was something that she kept from her peeps, and something she already had a hunch her teacher knew.

Tagas used devices to keep them under his will; they hopped as long as he told them to keep hopping. If he asked them to jump they would say how high. Death was the result of disobedience. But if she could learn these new elements of combat, somehow acquire the next level of ninja as fast as she could, then she could leave this place and rescue them.  Perhaps Jaya could use her mental techniques on Tagas. Punishment for all the lives that he took and the freedom that he placed them in. Jaya heard the dreams and goals the other students had when they would graduate. It was nothing compared to her mission. Nothing serious enough on her level. She was in this for more than just headbands, which in a way she somewhat had envy of.

It could have been as simple as words and a few strings being pulled here and there to make her a member of a village. She could have more friends than the zero she had now. More connections could have been available to her socially so when she leave she wouldn't be completely lost: she would have direction in addition to her end goal. But Jaya was still stubborn, refusing to really let anybody in. She wouldn't admit it except aloud to herself in private. All of those clans that she read about it were interesting and sparked her intellectual need to learn more about them, but they had all appeared to set shinobi into predetermined fates. Jaya was drawn away from that one element. Her destiny was hers to make alone.

Theodore James (No code set up yet, just a quick post to get out of the academy.)Theodore could feel the pressure in his lungs, his for head had sweat dripping down his face. Standing up onto his feet he looked around the academy playground area. Stretching for his toes he felt his bones pop up and down from top to bottom. Stretching back up he slowly sat his left foot back towards the line, bringing his right foot forward he stretched down to the ground. Balancing on his knees he pushed off. Moving like a bullet Theodore ran through the playground. Before he knew it, he was forced to slow down, his lungs pounding even harder than before. Smiling he flopped to the ground taking another breather. Pulling out a stick of pockey he gently munched on it and looked up at the blue clouds above. “Sometimes I wonder what the point of all this training. Should i even try at this point or should i give up. What is the poin....what is the point.” He asked himself as he watched the clouds slowly float by, soft and cotton candy looking. If Theodore was an only child, maybe he would have already given up on being a ninja. ‘A traveling merchant wouldn’t have been so bad.” He thought to himself. Standing on his feet he turned and went back inside of the academy, turning into his classroom he glanced around. Wasn’t much for him to really think on, maybe he would read about chakra. Looking he shrugged, turning to Raiton release. “Lightning, it is the strongest against earth. It can travel through it, this will cause the earth to break apart and collapse.” He read, looking up at the ceiling he imagined himself slamming his hand into a bandit holding an earth shield. The earth shield shattering as he pierced his chest. “Chidori…Oh Chidori….” He said softly and excitedly. Looking back at his book he continued, “It is weak against wind, because its electrical insulator. However, lightning vibration frequency high enough can surpass penetrative force of wind. That's gonna be me one day, imma slice and dice all that get in my way. I am a in njnja and imma show my family isn't weak!" Theodore said excitedly and then he sighed, and continued over his book, it wasn’t a long book it just spoke most on the facts about lightning, which is all he really wanted at this point. Looking over his shoulder he saw other students, but ignored them. He didn’t hate them, but he didn’t know them. Turning he looked at them, he went to say something but they all ran out with excitement. Other plans, like most of the days. Looking back at his book he read about chakra, it was an interesting read to see how things worked in his own body, even though it was kind of weird to know that at the very moment his body was pumping aura through his body that he could manipulate, even if it was a weak amount he still had what he needed, especially with his taijutsu. Standing up he left the class and walked through the hallway looking at all the pictures of people in history, of people who helped saved this world, people who he would never meet in his life. Touching one of the photos he smiled at how happy the children in it seemed, specially the blond headed kid in the picture. Setting it back up he turned and went to the small table outside the building. Sitting at it he pulled out a small sack and dumped it out. The first thing to come out was a bottle of juice, it wasn’t too bad just apple. Next was a banana, this was his favorite. Bananas to Theodore was like eating the sweet nectar of the gods. At least he figured it was, he had never tasted nectar of gods before. Then came a huge sandwich, a delicious one at that. It had Shaved sesame pork on wheat bread, then there was a slap of pepper cheese on that. Lettuce poured over the bread along with tomatoes, onions, and some homemade pepper sauce that his granny made for him. Picking up the sandwich he bit into it, the flavors bursting into his mouth as if he had just set off a TNT bomb of flavor. Excitedly he began to scarf down the food as if it was his last meal, If he was to be executed he would live so happy in whatever place he would enter. Sighing happily, he looked up at the sky as he began munching on the banana which made him even more excited.
Finishing his food, he slowly stood to his feet, he felt like he was about to burst. Picking up his juice he sipped on it and began walking back into the building, nothing to exciting was left in class. He went to his class and began learning once more. This went on for a while, it wasn’t something you just learned over night, training didn’t just stop and you were one day the strongest ninja, Theodore had a long way to go to become someone worthy to be called a genin. It wasn’t just a genin he was chasing after though, he loved his father and wanted to live up to his father’s memory. Turning each and every day into a war with his strength he began growing quicker and quicker. His nights were short, his days were long, and the world was slow. He risked his body, he risked his mind, at times he risked his health. Most of all though, he risked his relationship with humans, the obsession of training was what he wanted, to become someone his sister loved and looked up to.
Unlike most kids of his age, he fought for his future. Some kids did this, but it wasn’t his future he wanted, it was the future for his sister. He wanted a life where his sister could see the end of the tunnel, end of the suffering and pain, and be happy. Life to Theodore was his sister, and he wanted her to have the best that she could have. This was Theodores Dream, ‘I will break the chains of my past fathers.’ Was Theodores dream, causing pain and suffering to his younger generation of family members was something Theodore refused to do.
Each day grew tougher though, he refused however, to give in. His body felt stressed and weak, his grandmother was deathly ill, and he didn’t have what it took to save her, to save his sister, to save himself. This ended when he finally managed to stand back to his feet and fight, the bullies around him scattered, the stressed melted, and the barriers keeping him from becoming a ninja shattered. Theodore was on the ending days before graduating and he was ready. First was learning who he was, Theodore, a kind-hearted kid who wanted to help his family and the family he will have. Theodore, the lightning user. Theodore, the man who gave himself a nickname. The Red Lightning, Theodore, someone who wasn’t going to give into what others said. Theodore, the 12-year-old who is going to smash all expectations for someone his age and show them the truth of what it means to be a ninja of this world. Theodore the 12-year-old genin who will become a jounin before anyone knows what hit them. Theodore the ninja from the leaf. Theodore, a child who didn’t get to be one for long.
Lifting from bed his new day had begun, it was going to be his last day at the Academy and he was excited. Standing out of bed he grabbed the nearest clothing he could find, which for the most part was always the same thing. Sliding it all on the rustled with what he was going to eat that day. And He decided nothing, he was going to give his money to his sister for something nice. Glancing at what he had to offer he reached over and grabbed his picture frame of his father and mother and him, smiling at it gently rubbed the picture frame touching the face of his mother and his father. Nodding gently, he turned and went out of his bedroom and ran into the kitchen, his grandmother hugged him tightly congratulating him as he smiled kissing her cheek. Turning to his little sister May he hugged her tightly as she cheered for him and jumped up and down. “Future ninja, future ninja, future ninja!” she screamed excitedly as she grabbed him and hugged him tightly. Picking her up and held her happily and petted her head. “Girl, you’re going to become a next one!” He said as he kissed her cheek gently and sat her back down. Smiling she nodded excitedly. Turning he quickly ran to the academy excitedly.
He watched as the world around him began changing, it was something he had never experienced before. He saw all his fellow class mates all around him preparing to become full fledge ninjas. They just had to pass the test, which was something everyone was nervous about. The first test was a simple one, pen and paper over elements and chakra. And he aced it, Theodore knew he had aced it, if he hadn’t aced it then he was asleep, and he wasn’t going to let that happen. Turning he went to his brake and he was defiantly nervous. Sitting in the hall way he began reading over what jutsu he wanted to learn, he was thinking something with lightning cause of his element, but at the same time he didn’t want to do something that wouldn’t be helpful in the battle of the future missions he was going to doing. Raising his hand, he clapped softly as he popped his neck. “Let’s do this Theodore, I got this, I can pass.” He said as he jumped up and began the next test, it was ninjutsu, it was everything he could imagine, ninjutsu was weak but he managed to pass barely. That was something he was nervous about. The world around him was slowing down. He began to panic about what if he was to fail and not become a ninja, he had finished the tests they were just choosing who all had passed and who all were about to fail. He couldn’t believe what he was going to do if that was to happen, if he was to fail.
He couldn’t believe what he heard, Theodore Come get your head band, it was like a shot to the heart. He was on his way to get the crown of the very new kingdom that he was about to build. Running up to the front he slowly took the band, and he was ready. Wrapping it around his head he could feel his heart skipping, his body shaking, and his eyes dripping with tears of joy. Turning he stuck his arms up with excitement and screamed. This was what Theodore had fought so hard for, this was what Theodore had wanted all along, and now that the had finally reached it he couldn’t help but to look out at who he was supposed to be, but at was he was building himself to be. He was going to become a ninja, and show his sister may exactly that he wanted to be a ninja and was going to become a ninja. Who could stop them from becoming who he wanted to be. All he could think about was what was going to come from who he was going to become, but he was scared about the fact that the world was going to Hell, and he may end up like his father. He just wanted to show the world who he is and who he is going to become. But maybe in the end the world will eat him up and spit him out as if it was nothing but a chewed-up piece of fat that was being given back to his dog. Its almost done for the day, but whatever was about to end up happening to his world he was going to become stronger and faster then it. This life wasn’t something he was worried about, it was something he was striving to accomplish.

Shima was amazed by the size of the Konohagakure. She had never seen so many people in one place, but that was only because she had only ever been inside of her home village of Kusagakure, the village hidden in the grass. They varied in many other ways, but one thing that made it feel homely to Shima was that they both resided inside giant forests that helped to protect the villages. Though it was comforting to know the forest, Shima was still a little bit shy and shocked to her opportunity. She was originally a member of Kusagakure but through certain circumstances she was given the chance to join Konohagakure to act as a diplomat between the villages, of sorts. Perhaps the reason why she had been sent to Konohagakure was in hopes that she would build strong ties so to have Konohagakure provide support to Kusagakure in the future, if it was attacked again, or perhaps it was because of other reasons, she really didn't know. She didn't know the true motivation for her village to send her to Konohagakure, but she was grateful all the same. Though she liked Kusagakure, it was a small village and didn't have as strong of a shinobi core as some of the larger villages. As she walked down the street of Konohagakure, she remembered back on the past. Four years before, Kusagakure was attacked by intruding rouge shinobis that took over the countryside of the land of grass. To the best of their abilities, Kusagakure tried its hardest to repel the intruders but because of their small shinobi core, they didn't have enough people to repel the attackers and so soon had to close the village. At the time, Shima lived outside of the village with her grandmother. Her father had died as a casualty in war that passed, and her mother died soon after Shima was born, from a weakened immune system. This left Shima's grandmother to raise Shima as her own. Though it would have been thought to be safer to live inside of the village, it wasn't, as Shima lived in the ancestral home of her clan, the Enoki clan. The clan, which is named after a species of fungus that they grow, holds a natural affinity to control and cultivate fungus around them. Long thought to be an offshoot of the Senju clan by outsiders, because of the similarities between wood release and fungal release, it is later revealed that the Enoki clan jutsu is produced in a much different way, compared to wood release, whereas wood release is a combination of water and earth nature chakra to produce a wood release, the Enoki clan gain use of their jutsus through fungus that they cultivate and store inside of their bodies. It might be true that the lineage of the Enoki clan might be descended from the early Senju clan members, but the lineage of the Enoki clan has been lost to time itself. Though not known to many except for those that belong to the tribe, the Enoki clan produce their jutsu through means of a symbiotic relations with a fungus that resides inside of their Chakra system. By feeding the fungus chakra, it causes the fungus to send mycelium around the user which can then respond to obstacles. The Enoki clan was known as the secret weapon of Kusagakure and helped to gain the village fame for its ability to detect the movements of the over great villages through a special mushroom that the Enoki clan produced. They would travel to several of the other lands and spread the spore of the mushroom, which would then detect the movements of the villages, thus giving Kusagakure many advantages in the past of known when foes where approaching or for making sales to other villages for information on their opponents. Because of this, Kusagakure had been at one time considered in joining the five great villages in the past, but sadly it has gone into a decline over the years. Though they used to be many members of the Enoki clan, they sadly, have slowly dwindled in numbers until really only Shima and her grandmother where left, though it was possible that others of the Enoki clan still exist elsewhere. One thing that made the Enoki clan powerful in the past was that their home was almost an impenetrable fortress to anyone that wasn’t of the clan. During her childhood, Shima’s resided inside of her family’s ancestral home that was in the center of a giant forest of tall sprouting mushrooms that towered over the landscape. Once called the Forest of Shadows, the towering fungus were always sending out spores that created a haze that suppressed all chakra abilities, except for those that carried the Enoki bloodline. Many times, people would wander into the forest and end up losing their ways inside of the forest and would never find their way out of the forest unless someone of the Enoki clan helped to guide them out of the forest. Of course, not all managed to make it out of the forest. Several people that had evil intent were left to wander to never find their way out. That's why it was safer for Shima to live there, then the village. During the invasion of Kusagakure, Shima and her grandmother kept mostly to themselves in the forest. Because of the mycelium that spread throughout the forest, the ground was very fertile. Most of the food that they ate, they grew from the ground, though many dishes almost always contained a mushroom, which Shima hated eating. Though they got most of their food from nearby, they still were required to journey into town to gather other supplies that couldn’t be found where they lived. The problem with that was that the bandits would prey upon anyone that tried to travel down the road toward the village. Though it seemed to be stacked against them whenever they tried to go to the town, Shima’s grandmother always knew the best route to take to go around the bandits, almost like she knew where they were hiding when they tried to raid people traveling into town. Though she didn’t know until later, this was very true, as Shima’s grandmother had seeded the land between the village and their home with thousands of special mushrooms that would detect the presence of life. With this ability she was always able to know where the bandits were lying in wait for travelers to the village and could find a way around them though she never dared to fight them. Though this was truly a formidable ability, it also had a severe drawback, as continued use often drained a person of their chakra. Shima’s grandmother was a powerful, but she was also old and her powers had weakened greatly over the years. The bandit also didn't help to reduce the risk to Shima's grandmothers health nor did the village either. The bandits appeared to possess an advanced form of jutsu that concealed their presence to the village ninja and they were struggling to combat them, as they would ambush the village shinobis with reserves of bandits whenever the shinobis thought that they had them. Though Shimas grandmother was leery about going into battle, her hand was forced when the villaged threatened to draft Shima into the war on the bandits. Not willing to let Shima face the threat, she began to help the village shinobis in reducing the numbers of bandits. In the beginning, Shima’s grandmother greatly improved the combat against the bandits as she could pick out the hiding places of the bandits and reveal them to the village shinobis to battle and arrest. She even helped to capture some of them with her fungal jutsu by having mushrooms grow around the bodies of the bandits. Thing started to be looking well for Kusagakure as many of the bandits appeared to be unaware of how they were being spotted and routed. That is until the bandits decided to raid the village to release their brothers from prison and attacked by the village ninjas be fully aware of Shima’s grandmother’s abilities, as they appeared to have known about Shima’s grandmothers mushrooms, as they took great pleasure in destroying any mushrooms that they found, reducing her detection range to mostly just her forest and the trails from the forest to the town, as if they knew about her ability to detect their presence in the area. Though Shima wasn’t aware of what was truly happening at that time, as her grandmother was grown tired for war and only wished to have peace, and as such, tried her best to kept Shima oblivious to violence that was around her. Though Shima wasnt aware of it, her grandmother knew that the rouges were hunting them, though to the reason she didn’t know, until much later and by that time it was too late to react. {To Be Continued when possible.} Quote: 1496.
