Mazamath (Flying), Attacking Acriculeth
Mazamath narrowly avoided this latest attack, tucking his wings and rolling away to save himself a nasty bite. An injury to his wings would be problematic, to say the least. Snarling, he flew after the bronze to bite at his tail.

[Acriculeth: Flying with A'nos, Defending against Mazamath]
Baldy wounded as he already was, the last thing Acriculeth needed was a heavy bite on the tail. Hissing in distaste he whirled away from the blue; he didn't manage to evade completely but the attack did a lot less damage than it otherwise would have.

[Created Characters: Brown Kloth and H'tag - Flying (Benden Refugees)] Attacking Acriculeth (Not for consideration.)
Kloth and H'tag both immediately took stock of the situation as they came out of between above Malvren. H'tag sported a crusted, bloody cut across one arm and another on his cheek, but was otherwise unharmed. They had stung in the chill of between, but he was just glad to have made it out of the Weyr with his dragon and without further injuries.
Looking around, it was chaos, but it wasn't unexpected. Some dragons at Benden, too, had joined the wherhandlers. H'tag had found that out the hard way; he was only thankful the dragon's swipe had missed Kloth's eyes.
I am well and we may still save some here, though we were forced to abandon our homeground. Direct me, mine.
H'tag looked down again, and suddenly the pattern on the Bronze was familiar. He knew that dragon as he would have known no Bronze from Malvren.
Get the traitor Bronze, H'tag said, even his mind-voice snarling.
Kloth folded his wings and plummeted toward Acriculeth, bellowing shortly before reaching his target. Unfortunately, either the bellow or the attempt to avoid another dragon's attack had moved him aside and Kloth passed him before he snapped his wings open and halted his descent, curving to make another pass.

Mazamath (Flying), Attacking Acriculeth
Mazamath had thought for a moment that he had the bronze, but was dismayed when he whirled away before he could really clamp down on his tail. A brown appeared, then, swooping in to join the fight with the traitor-bronze. Good! They could use all the help they could get!
Encouraged, the blue sped after their enemy, seeking to really sink his teeth into him this time.

S'orl and Silver Ateth (Flying), Attacking Aerith (created characters, but not for consideration)
It didn't take long for word of the aerial battle to spread to others loyal to the Revolution, and once it had, Ateth and His were swift to get themselves together and into the air. Though the silver was far from keen on fighting - Faranth forbid his immaculate hide be scarred, whether by Thread or another dragon - participating in battle had become a necessary evil. The Revolution had to win, and he had to be seen helping to further their cause. He had to appear brave and prove his dedication, and in doing so win renown for himself. He desperately craved power and glory, and all the trappings and perceived adoration that came with being a leader.
Things he was denied just because Rising females stirred no longings in him. He had no biological drive to chase and catch them, but he wanted terribly the rewards it brought. It wasn't fair! But finally, the rebellion had given he and His hope that there was another way. It had taken little convincing to bring the pair over to the other side, and now it was time to put on a good show for their new allies.
Ateth entered the fray with a bugle and a showy, twirling maneuver, before diving down at the white already engaged in a fight. Fair or not, this involved the least amount of risk to himself, he surmised, and that was a most important deciding factor.

Calanoth (w/ Z'fer): Flying, Attacking Firith
Calanoth bellowed as her claws raked his membrane, fraying the leading edge. It was incredible how such small cuts (compared to the rest of him) could hurt so bad! He barely noticed the entrance of the two new dragons, his attention was focused on Firith.
Z'fer on the other hand was paying attention. The appearance of another stranger bronze had him on edge until it dived Acriculeth. So he was on their side? Fine. They'd be left alone. He still didn't trust anyone from Benden though.
Calanoth shot towards Firith, bringing himself dangerously close in the air and snapping at her.

Firith (with Ralla), Flying; Attacking Calanoth
Firith tried to dive out of the way of the bite, but the bronze's big jaws came down hard on her tail, and she screamed with the pain of it. The little green twisted in the air, yanking her tail away and snapping at the older dragon's face in retaliation.

Mercy & Aerith - flying
Aerith Defending against Ateth, bespeaking Mazamath Def -1d6+1 = 7 Hp - 39/40
Aerith's size certainly helped things as she spun to avoid the attacking Crimson, Mercy pressed to her neck and holding onto the straps for dear life. The second attack from a silver this time made the white squeal, twisting to both avoid the blow and shield Mercy from any straying claws. 'I do not understand why they turn on us' The white responded to Mazamath, misery in her voice as she viewed the dragons she had always thought of as friend and ally suddenly attacking them.
'I cannot fight while worrying about you' Aerith told her rider, spiraling tightly and folding her wings to dive for the ground where she could deposit her rider - hopefully in a safe place.

S'orl and Silver Ateth (Flying), Attacking Aerith
Just where did the white think she was going? They had only just begun, and weren't anywhere near finished with her! It was a pity that the rare little dragon had chosen the wrong side, but it didn't matter. Her rarity was not enough to keep Ateth from attacking her - she was in their way, and he would remove her.
He dove mercilessly after her, claws extended to try and catch at her, but she was just so small!

[Acriculeth: defending against Mazamath]
He was not enjoying this at all. Growling deep in his chest Acriculeth dropped suddenly to avoid the incoming brown, and then rolled out of the way of the blue. Still two dragons attacking him? It really was most unfair, a cunning he would approve of if it were working for him rather than against.

Already safe on the ground - for the moment, at least - Adi had been watching the sky intently since the battle had begun, her heart in her throat. Maz was up there, fighting a bronze, and their wingleader was there, and Mercy and Aerith...
The sound of the wagon being smashed made her jump, and she stared at it for a moment before realizing there were things there she might be able to use. She ran over to sift through them.

Mazamath (Flying), Attacking Acriculeth
The bronze was apparently getting better at avoiding Mazamath's attacks, which was very frustrating, but he didn't have long to worry about such things. The enemy dragon flew low to let his off on the ground. On the ground, where Adi was. Fear surged through him as he recalled what had happened when His had tried to fight the crimson's rider, and he dove after the bronze with a bellow, lashing out furiously.
