Kenocka Kaze Espada Kenocka Kaze Espada I am willing to commit myself to do that. Kaze that was a rhetorical statement that required no response. It's ridiculous that someone would have to stand there and roll dice or RNG for two or more other people. The simple thing to do would be to have people RNG/roll dice first, then either post or edit that post with their response to whatever the dice roll/RNG had in store for them. I just really want start a tournament. I really wanna do a good roleplay battle. Then why not do an OOC RP with someone that just focuses on battling instead of trying to have random battles in canon RPs? Before a tournament was even started would HAVE to determine a few different things such as how fields would work and what Pokemon are/n't allowed. I say that if we do a tournament we MUST HAVE RNGs for determining if a field effect happens and the RNG would would be for JUST field effects. Dice rolls would be for JUST MOVE effectiveness. Other than that I'm kinda out of ideas. Is that something for me to work on?

I think putting it all on one person seems unfair in the extreme.

So just my personal opinion on this whole shebang is that IF we do a tournament, it should be as simple as possible - no weird arenas, no RNGing, just two people and their Pokemon battling. I say this for two reasons: it's one hell of a lot easier to set it up and do it that way, and if we're trying to get activity up, it's a better idea to keep it simple so people don't have to read a thousand rules beforehand. The arena can also screw over someone whose team is perhaps themed and it's NEVER fun when you lose a battle simply because the ice underneath your feet decided to break right as you made your move.
That being said, a tournament could be fun. I don't know if I'd participate, but I'd be willing to help organize/run it.

I don't care that you can do it all by yourself it's unfair to make you do so. Please do not argue with me about that because it is. I also believe that everyone should get to have a chance at picking fields. Surprises are fun but I don't know how people might feel about not having any choice at all. The RNG would be a simple 50-50 for the most part (Ex: ice field has thicker ice on the edges so 70/100 chance of not falling through, middle of the ice has a 20/100 chance of your creature falling into icy water) so that is easily enough settled. Wait, this is to get activity back in the GUILD. That's what I understood anyway. No one is going to want to RP out Pokemon battles the way we're SUPPOSED to do so in Etrua in the forums and I'm not opening the guild to all and sundry, the owners closed it to private for a reason. What do you mean by host? I don't understand.

Here's a thought...
Use that RNG Pokemon site to pick your 6 Pokemon. No legendaries. Pokemon will be set at level 50. No TM/HM/DW moves.
With this, it prevents people from not only using their favorites, but it also prevents people who play competitively from unfairly picking Uber-tier Pokemon (Blaziken with Speed Boost, for instance). It's pretty much like running through the Battle Frontier, only less sets you gotta go through.
As for arenas... well, I can suggest a number of interesting ones that could spice things up without making them weird.

It could lead to interesting matchups and force people to adapt to the hand they're dealt, rather than relying on the powerful Pokemon they're used to using. It means that it's more skill-based and means that the winners will be the truly better trainers, rather than just the people running two Garchomps xD

We would have to find some way to keep people from cheating on that and editing a picture or just retrying until they get a team they like, but it does sound interesting...

Get a designated crew member to use the Pokegenerator and tell people what their teams are afterwards. That way it's fair. And sure, people may think that the person doing the rolling is being unfair, but at least everyone's being held to the same standards.

It's kinda like livestream but you don't need to sign in, and you can give control to someone else so that you can see their screen.

Have someone with that program activated rolling for Pokemon and allowing everyone to watch him as he does it? xD That's a good idea.

So we have someone pull up a reasonable Pokemon generator and televise the process. Any Pokemon that is rolled is leveled to its final evolution and Legendaries are automatic rerolls (unless we find a generator that excludes them).
