Alakin tried to move away from the strike, but failed horribly. With the last ringing strike of the shovel, blackness overtook his vision and he fell unconscious.

Gauden looked over at Ca'mil, breathing heavily, and nodded his thanks.

"Journeyman Beastcrafter Gauden," he offered. "Assistance is appreciated. Any idea what the rest of the Weyr looks like? Saw the 'handlers marching and it didn't look good. Can only imagine this one," he nudged Alakin with his foot, "Was sent to scatter runners. Should tie him up before we go, to make sure he doesn't wake up and cause any mischief."

Dropping the shovel and grimacing at the downed man Ca'mil watched him for a moment - she was pretty sure he was still breathing but wasn't sure if she ought to take that as a good thing or a bad thing. Turning her attention to the beastcrafter she nodded to him. "Ca'mil, Rider of Crimson Cheryth - Cheryth tells me that the Whers are trying to take over. She's gotten images and news from other dragons but things are confusing, there's fighting breaking out everywhere" She told him while she grabbed one of the runner leads that was close by and handed it to Gauden so that he could tie the man up. "Maybe lock him in a stall?"

Gauden nodded and began binding Alakin's hands. "Good to meet ya."

He nodded toward the small office tucked in a room at the far end of the stable. "You'll find extra cloths in there. Grab two for this one. We'll need to gag him and make sure he can't spit it out when the time comes. Drag him into that empty one on the end, then we'll see about clearing out some of those handlers."
