Gunji smiled when she said he'd know when she was scared and agreed with her when she talked about the couples and sacrificing and all. Gunji couldn't stand it either. It was true that if they all worked hard enough, they could simply find out who the murmurer was and kill him. It frustrated Gunji so much when they were killed off one by one when they could have all survived. Gunji actually did laugh though when the blond died. He laughed loudly and nearly rolled off the couch. When the killed popped out, Gunji actually yelled and scrambled to sit up and cling to Asten. He laughed loudly at him left but continued to hand onto Asten almost desperately. He didn't want to do that again but Gunji knew he would.
The kitten had run off once the movie got too loud and Gunji pouted at first, only to jump and yelp when someone found the blond dead. Next was the Jock's best friend and Gunji laughed again. The blond had been cheating on the Jock with the best friend and Gunji decided that they both deserved it. The poor little Jock would have thrown a fit when he found out about his cheating, perky girlfriend anyways. Gunji had actually been little surprised that the Jock's friend died instead of the job but there was still the rest of the teenagers. As the Jock looked for the blond and his friend, he got killed and Gunji buried his face in Asten's hair although he giggled. He hoped the brunette survived. She was actually useful to the plot and she wasn't stupid for one. She had an idea of what was going on.
"She better live," Gunji said as he eventually just pulled Asten into his lap and nuzzled her neck as he watched the movie over her shoulder. If she wanted to hide, she could still hide her eyes behind her cushion or against Gunji. Gunji would be find with it but he would probably be freaking out as well. Eventually the brunette made a good decision and called the police as she wandered around the house away from the last guy. He hummed to himself softly to prepare for anything that was going to pop up but when something did, Gunji freaked out and yelled again, laughing at the same time somehow. "I hate this movie!" he shouted simply because he was getting scared and he laughed at himself.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Whimpering in fright, Asten obligingly curled up against him. The fact she was so much smaller than him only made it easier and she hid her face against his chest, the cushion abandoned next to them. Gunji really was just making it worse, with all his yelling and jumping, and she thought she might die of a heart attack by the time the movie was over. It was only a small comfort, knowing he was getting freaked out as well, considering he kept laughing hysterically too. Deciding she'd definitely pick the next movie if he let her, Asten curled up tight against him. Hopefully he wouldn't mind the nightmares she always had after watching horror movies.
At least he was letting her hide instead of insisting she watch it. Her last boyfriend had always done that, not letting her just cover her eyes when it got to much and laughing at her when she jumped and yelled. Gunjji was laughing, but at least he was laughing at the movie, not her for being scared. But seriously, next time they were watching a freaking comedy or something. Biography - anything! "The brunettes usually live, they're the smart ones," Asten reassured him. She took smug satisfaction in being said brunette and wondered if Gunji would be the one to die in a horror movie. That thought had her snickering a little against his chest, until he jumped again and she jumped as well, almost crushing several fragile body parts of his.
"I hate this movie too," she agreed fervently, wrapping her arms around his chest and hiding her face against him again when it started to get to the end. That was always the worst, for her, waiting for the stupid bad guy to finally die and wondering the entire time if the last person would end up living or being killed or what. The suspense was what got her more than anything else when a horror movie started to end. She heard the police arrive and lots of yelling and wondered if they'd kill the guy or if the brunette - whom she thought was still alive - would do it. Asten rooted for the brunette, actually.

Gunji pet Asten softly as she hid against him. Gunji did think it was a little funny but kept quiet because it was cute as well. The brunette was hiding somewhere in the house and the killed was still wandering around while the police yelled at him to get out of the house. The killed just happened to be in the same room as the brunette but of course, the lights were off and he couldn't see the girl but she could see him. When he opened up the closet to find her, he found nothing. Something flew into the back of the killer's head and the brunette was standing there when the killed fell down. The police heard the noise and rushed inside, turning the lights on.
Gunji had wondered why they were even off but shut up as they turned the sea body over to look at it. The brunette found that it was the friend who hadn't been invited to the little party. Once the body was taken away, the brunette was gathered up by the police and contorted before questions were asked. When the place was all cleared out, a figure could still be seen holding a knife when everyone drove away. Once the credits were rolling the lights went back on and Gunji blinked in confusion. Had the caught the killer or simply the wrong person? Or were there two killers?
The ending of movies always confused the hell out of Gunji but he just ignored it. "Let's never go camping with a group of friends in a secluded cabin," Gunji said in a horrified tone before he giggled and nuzzled Asten's neck. "Anyways, that was a dumb movie. If we ever got caught up in that kind of situation, the killed would be killed by be for trying to hurt my precious Asten... At least after I killed all the annoying people like the blond girl," Gunji said, not even acknowledging that he was a blond as well. "Should we sleep now?" Gunji asked as he held onto Asten and flopped down onto his side on the couch. He held her close and pretended to fall asleep, making snoring noises and holding her tight.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ The ending hadn't made a bit of sense to Asten, but seeing as she'd hidden her face away for most of it, that didn't surprise her. Gunji's petting helped her relax while the movie was finishing up and she listened to the noises absently. She'd bet there was some terrible sequel that made even less sense than this movie had and was glad Gunji probably wouldn't want to watch it. Teenagers. Had she been that dumb as a teenager? God, she hoped not. Asten didn't think she had, she'd been too focused on her singing and music to care much about partying and the like. Hah, and look how her life had turned out. Although, snuggling up to Gunji, she had to admit it could be a lot worse. Four year's worth of a lot worse, actually. So, in the end, this wasn't too bad, so far.
Asten smiled at his words, feeling like he really meant what he said about killing someone who tried to hurt her. "I've gone camping a few times, but I never had a killer after me," she admitted with a giggle of her own at the idea. That would have just made it more fun, maybe, but still. When he suddenly flopped down, holding her close and snoring away, she was a bit suspicious, but didn't mind at all. "Sure, I guess sleep sounds good," she agreed quietly, smiling against his chest and snuggling up to him with a happy sigh.
It was a surprise that Gunji made her feel safe, but he did. Weird, since he was definitely dangerous and bit...eccentric, that much was plain to see. But Asten felt pretty confident that if he was going to hurt her, he would have done it by now. Well, she could always fly away if worse came to worse. She'd only do that if he hurt her, though, since she'd promised to stay. And she wanted to stay, to her surprise. Huh. Closing her eyes, the swan wrapped her arms around his neck and cuddled up to him, not caring if he was asleep or not. If he wanted to move, he could just tote her around.

Gunji smiled when she actually agreed to go to sleep. Soon she was snuggled up to him with her arms wrapped around Gunji's neck. He smiled and watched her before he stood up while carrying her. Gunji brought her up to the master bedroom and laid down with her, pulling the moved over them both. The blond slipped his glasses off and placed them on the bedside table. He left his hair up in a pony tail but slid the bobby pins out of his hair to go to sleep, all warm and snuggled up against his pretty little Asten.
Gunji fell asleep soon enough. When he was asleep he held onto Asten, not wanting to let go at all. She would have a hard time getting out of bed if she woke up before Gunji. He never let go of whatever he was snuggling with if it was sleeping. Gunji slept like the dead. He didn't move an inch and by the time day came, he was in the exact same position as before. Someone had brought breakfast for the two of them and the smell managed to get Gunji to move a little bit as he took in more of the delicious smell. He eventually ignored it again though, going back to cuddling Asten.
If she wanted to get out of his arms, now would be about the right time so that she could eat breakfast. Gunji was a thing bit away from smelling the food but that was about as awake as he was going to get before he was out again.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Asten had woken up once during the night and was a bit alarmed by how tight she was being held. Once she'd realized trying to squirm out for a bathroom break was futile, she sighed and cuddled back up against him. It wasn't that he was crushing or making her uncomfortable. Actually, he was nice and warm and she snuggled closer to him, always cold at night no matter what the temperature was. And he wasn't snoring so obnoxiously, either, thank god. She never could sleep that well with someone who snored, it was like a leaky faucet - slowly driving you more and more insane.
She woke up again when she smelled the food, and when Gunji shifted a little bit. Part of her wanted to stay and cuddle, but her body demanded she take the opportunity, so she scooted silently out of the bed and sprinted to his bathroom. Coming out a few minutes later, she eyed the food. It looked delicious, but she wasn't that hungry. Wandering towards the balcony, Asten looked at the brightening dawn and jumped up on the railing eagerly. Pacing back and forth on the balls of her feet, she glanced over her shoulder to Gunji, who looked like he was still sleeping. Asten debated on waiting until he woke up, but she couldn't take it any longer. Stripping off her few clothes and tossing them inside the doors, she looked down at the stone below and cocked her head for a minute. Arms outstretched, she paused before taking a dive right for the ground.
And seconds later, a massive swan swooped up and into the air, wings pumping as she quickly stretched them. They'd grown stiff from disuse, but flying was in her nature, it wasn't even something she was taught - it was something she knew. Not wanting to go off the grounds and have Gunji think she'd flown away during the night, the shifter contented herself for just going higher and higher before plummeting back to the earth, before doing it all over again. She started to circle the building with lazy flaps of her wings, startling a few of the staff, but as they'd already learned of her nature they weren't too surprised. Playing in the fountain for a few minutes, she went back to flying, enjoying the rush of air, and passing the balcony every few minutes to see if Gunji was up yet or not.

Gunji slept a moment longer, sighing and stretching when he woke up. It was a little too cold and Gunji opened his eyes slowly with a yawn. He smelled food and his stomach growled but something wasn't right... Why wasn't it was warm as before? Rubbing his eyes, Gunji realized what was missing: Asten. He suddenly sat up and looked around in a panic. Had she run away? She promised not to. When Gunji saw the balcony doors open, he bolted over to them, frowning when he saw some clothes but no Asten... Just some white bird flying up and down... A white bird named Asten. With a sigh, Gunji calmed down and went to get his breakfast. Asten still hadn't eaten so he left her's for her and returned to the balcony, munching on his strips of bacon first. He was too tired to eat like a total moron and felt like tasting his food at the moment.
When the bird returned from the fountain and passed Gunji, he smiled and waved at her with tired eyes, enjoying the sight of Asten flying all over the place. He didn't mind it at all as long as she didn't run away from him. Gunji enjoyed watching her. Eventually he finished his breakfast and licked his fingers clean, letting down his blond hair from it's messy pony tail. Gunji combed his fingers though his hair and sighed softly, moving to sit on the railing of the balcony instead of the ground. He swung his legs childishly as he watched Asten, wondering what it felt like to fly all over like that.
Gunji glanced down, thinking that he didn't want to be scolded by the maids so early in the morning. Usually they disliked it when he stared down from the railing as he got ready to jump. Gunji wouldn't turn into a swan like Asten. He would simply become a red splat on the ground with blond hair. That would't be very nice at all. And who would do his job? Surely Asten wouldn't want to.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Seeing Gunji watch her and happy he didn't yell at her, or seem to mind she was playing for now, Asten kept flying around for a little longer until the sun was up a bit more. Normally she wasn't a morning person - but being able to have freedom again was exhilarating and enough to make the lazy shifter get up and go a little insane so early in the morning. A few more loops around the building and even the bird was starting to get dizzy. That, and she didn't want to push her luck and have Gunji get annoyed at her. Having worn herself out a bit and feeling nice and sore, the kind of sore you got when you exercised a lot and knew you'd done something well, Asten swooped back around and dive-bombed the balcony, pulling up and landing gracefully instead of splattering herself against the stone and marble. Maybe she was showing off a little bit, but it'd been years since anyone had seen her swan form outside of a cage.
Titling her head at him, the bird poked him a few times with her beak before latching on to a piece of his pants and tugging a bit to get him off the balcony. She didn't want him to fall over and become a Gunji pancake, after all. Satisfied she'd made her point, the shifter snagged her shirt and underwear and rushed to the bathroom, returning a few moments later human once again and dressed. Stretching with a yawn, Asten grabbed some bacon and ambled over to the balcony again. "Good morning," she said cheerfully. "I'm sorry I just disappeared like that, I'll try not to do it again. I just woke up and wanted to fly so badly." The longing in her voice was obvious and she looked at the sky thoughtfully as she chewed. It was almost as if she was off in her own little world, thinking god only knew what.
Finishing the pieces she'd taken, Asten wrapped her arms around him from behind and squeezed a little. "I hope you slept well," she added, guessing that he had since she hadn't been woken by him moving. She'd never known anyone to sleep so soundly. She used to be able to sleep through the night, but after spending years in a cage Asten was used to waking up at every little noise, paranoid and wondering what was coming to get her now. It was a surprise that she'd slept mostly through the night, especially in a strange house, but since Gunji had a death grip on her it wasn't like she could go anywhere else anyway. Not that she really wanted to, she'd been comfortable.

Gunji blinked when she lanned and tugged at his pants. Gunji slipped off the balcony railing and onto the balcony, standing and watching as Asten grabbed her clothes and walked off to get dressed. The blond scratched his head in confusion then smiled when she came back. "That's okay. I like watching you," he said before he looked at Asten curiously, wondering what was going through her mind. He looked around them curiously next, surprised when he was suddenly hugged, Gunji hugged Asten back and filed. "I did sleep well. What about you?" Gunji asked as he lead them both inside so that Asten could finish her breakfast if she wanted.
Gunji took a seat on the bed and downed his own glass of apple juice and finished off the rest of his breakfast, which was only his egg. He could get more food if the breakfast hadn't been enough for him. He really did love watching Asten fly and wouldn't mind if she wanted to go out and fly every morning as long as she didn't fly away. Gunji had been pretty worried when he woke up to find his precious Asten gone. Gunji would have loved to be born like Asten with the ability to fly but he wasn't so it was good enough just to watch her soar around beautifully in the sky.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ "I slept fine, actually, I'm surprised," Asten admitted, trailing after him into the room and settling on the bed to finish eating. It was nice, feeling already at home enough to sit in his bed and eat like she belonged there. She was happy he liked watching her - that meant that not only would he let her fly more, but she made him happy by doing so. And that was really the whole purpose of her being there, after all, she remembered. She was there to make Gunji happy. So far, that didn't seem to be too hard to do. He seemed to be a pretty easy-going person, which suited her fine.
Finishing her drink, Asten let her hair out of the braid and shook it out. "What do you normally do during the day?" she asked, looking up at him as she tried to get her hair under some sort of control. Glancing at the balcony, she thought about how he was sitting there and looked back at him, a little worry in her golden eyes. "You don't...you don't think about jumping off that, do you, Gunji?" she asked hesitantly, not sure if it was a subject she wasn't supposed to bring up. "I mean...I'd rather you not. I'd be sad," she admitted, turning red in embarrassment. She hadn't thought about it until she said it and realized it was true. She would be sad. Not only because it meant she'd go back to the market, but because she liked Gunji. He was interesting and so many other people were just dull and boring.

Gunji smiled to see that Asten had slept well and watched her as she ate. When her first question came up, he tea ready to answer it before she asked another. He smiled softly when Asten said she would be sad if he'd jumped off the railing. She seemed very concerned and it made something tug at Gunji's heart. "Sometimes I do but someone always catches me. I get scolded a lot when I go on the railing and look down. One of the maids threatened to lock the bacon up so I won't. I promise," Gunji said before he pulled Asten into a hug and nuzzled her neck. He kissed her cheek softly then let her. "And I never really do anything with my day unless I'ma sued to work during the day. Other than that, I'll usually just laze around and sleep and play with the puppies and kitties until i have to go to work," Gunji explained with a smile.
When Asten struggled to tame her hair and Gunji noticed, he smiled and gathered her hair into his hands. He reached over to the bedside table and found a comb and elastic. Combing through her hair, Gunji looked over at Asten. "What did you do before you got put into the slave market? Did you sit around and be pretty?" he joked with a little chuckle. Gunji waited for her answer as he fishtail braided her hair and tied the end with a satisfied smile. He always enjoyed playing with his own hair and everything. It was nice to play with Asten's which was much smoother and longer even though Gunji's hair was also long and pretty well taken care of for a guy.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Glad when he promised he wouldn't do anything stupid, Asten relaxed again when he hugged her and kissed her cheek. She didn't mind physical affection from him, since it always seemed sincere, even if he was silly about it sometimes. It was nice to have someone want to hug her and cuddle and all that for a change. Closing her eyes and letting her body sort of go limp when he combed her hair, she smiled. No one had played with Asten's hair since she was a little girl and her mother would brush it out after a shower to get the tangles out. It made her feel safe and calm and he stopped much too soon for her liking. Although, when he asked about her life before, she shook her head, amused.
"Pfft, no one thought I was pretty enough to just sit around," she told him, folding her legs at some odd angle that seemed incredibly uncomfortable to look at. "I worked on my singing and my music after my parents died, that was all." Asten's smile was a little sad, but she tried not to get mopey or anything. The last thing she wanted to do was bother Gunji with her past, since she wasn't sure if he was truly interested or had just been teasing her. Remembering the music room now that her frenzy to fly had been calmed for the time being, Asten looked forward to getting to play around in there when she could. She hadn't been allowed to sing, except when a potential master demanded she show off, and then she'd done the worst she could to avoid getting bought. Normally shy in front of people, Asten had never been shy to sing in front of people once she'd gotten better and wondered if Gunji would mind listening to her during the day while he napped or played or whatever it was he wanted to do.

Gunji smiled at her response, wondering if she was uncomfortable sitting the way she was. Noting her sad tone, Gunji bit his lip. "I never really did anything while my mom was still around. I went to school for a little while but my mom dragged me out of school. She never really let me play instruments or anything and hated it when I sang. She was crazy. When she died, people thought I killed her because she rested me so badly but I would never do that..." Gunji said, trilling off at the end before he perked up again, moving to look at Asten. "You should sing for me some time. Do you want to go down to the music room? I don't know how to play any kid of instruments bit would like to listen."
He stood suddenly and went to the closet. "Let's get al changed and ready for today! Maybe we can go somewhere. It's nice outside so maybe later we should got to the zoo!" Gunji said loudly from the closet in a perky, happy tone. He picked an outfit out for Asten and plopped it beside her on the bed before leaving to get changed out of his pyjamas into his normal red hoodie and jeans. If you looked in the closet, Gunji had many of the same hoodie to tell the truth. So that when he got one dirty from work, he could throw on a different one the next day. It was a bit pathetic that Gunji was great with woman's clothes but he couldn't even stand choosing from different clothes for himself. Gunji combed through his hair and got it all tied up, thinking it would be a good idea to go to the zoo. He hadn't gone there recently and heard that there were new animals. There was a penguin exhibit now and Gunji was all hyped up to see the penguins.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Listening to Gunji, Asten almost apologized before remembering he'd been the one to bring up the subject and offer the information. It was still sad to her, though, or sounded like that. Her parents had done nothing but encourage her, she'd always sort of taken that for granted. She smiled when he said she should sing for him, though. He liked to sing, it seemed, so she'd hoped he'd let her get back into practice, at least for her own amusement. If Asten could entertain Gunji as well, that just made it all the better, so she didn't feel like she was neglecting him or anything. "I'd love to sing for you, whenever you want," she offered with a smile, standing up as he went over to the closet.
When he went to get dressed, Asten quickly changed into what he'd laid out for her and thought about a zoo. She hadn't been in years, since she was a little girl on a school field trip, and the one she'd been to had been small and cramped. It had made her sad, being an animal herself, to see them trapped and locked up for peoples' amusement. Her throat tightened as she slipped her shoes on. Maybe it would be like walking into the marketplace again. Or maybe it would be nice, big and clean and bright with happy animals that didn't look like they were being tortured. Swallowing, Asten brushed a stray hair from her eyes. Well, if she panicked, maybe Gunji wouldn't mind going another day. Or ever. But he wanted to go, so she'd try. Almost anything was worth trying at least once, in her opinion. And it had been so many years, maybe it was nicer. It was a different once for sure, at least. "The zoo sounds fun," she said agreeably, finding it a bit funny he always seemed to wear the same thing and yet was so picky about her own clothes.

Gunji was happy to hear Asten say she would sing for him, excited when she said the zoo sounded fun. He took Asten's hand and lead her downstairs to the music room first. Gunji had no clue how to play anything. There was a piano and he played a few keys every now and then but other than that he rarely used to music room unless it was to mess around. "Do you play any instruments? Even if you can't I want to hear you sing," Gunji said with a wide smile. If Asten knew how to play any instruments, Gunji would ask her to teach him how to play. He'd always wanted to learn any song on the piano even if it was only chopsticks. Gunji would be happy to learn now to play something that simple.
