Oooooh, okay.
Hel seemed even more depressed now. “But Shun…I am good at training and battling!” So did that mean she’d be good at love? “But Mot…he was not good at training and honestly, was mediocre at battling…does that mean…?” She looked at the grim now wide eyed and confused.

"Different skills are needed. If it fell apart it could only mean one of two things. One: you did not fight hard enough. Perhaps you both didn't. Or two. It was simply a battle you could not win," Shun stated.

Hel immediately got on the defensive. It wasn’t that Shun was accusing her for a lack of trying, but that was how she felt. “I fought as hard as I could at the time!” The ghoul cried, but paused as his words hit her at the core. Though he couldn’t explain it any other way, the way he did was exactly on a level that Hel whole heartedly related to. Maybe they both…didn’t fight hard enough.
Mot…didn’t fight hard for her?
A hand immediately came up to clutch at her heart at the thought. She felt crushed all over again, just like when those words came out of Mot’s mouth. Was it a battle she could not win? Love was a battlefield and she lost. Hel stared at Shun for a long while as she thought about the question. “I suppose…it is a little bit of everything.” She muttered after some time.
“…At this point in time…I tried as hard as I could...the most I was capable of right now…and I lost. Right now…I am not strong enough.”

"Did you?" Shun asked. It wasn't really accusing her of anything. He just wanted her to be sure of her own words. But it seemed that he managed to resonate with her despite his somewhat strange way of explaining it. Either that or Hel was having a heart attack right about now.
"What are you going to do about it then?"
He asked her this because he didn't have any answers for her. The most he could do was maybe help her figure that out for herself. Either she try to re evaluate her strategy and attempt something different, or accept defeat basically.

“I did.” She repeated, less vehemently now. “I tried…as hard as I could…right now.”
Shun’s question was met with silence.
What was she going to do now? Right off the bat…she didn’t know. But as she thought about it, maybe she’d do what Hel always did before Mot. Focus on herself entirely. Train harder, get better. “He said…we need time. I do not like that, Shun.” Hel murmured. “I…there is so much that needs to be done…does time mean…taking a break? I can not take a break…I have things that need to be done…” She wasn’t making much sense and her brows furrowed. “…I suppose…I will do nothing…about that…taking time…is that what that means? Letting go of it? I do not know.” She frowned.
“…I will just…focus on my goals…my own…goals.”

"I can't answer that for you. It could mean time to let go. Or it could be time to figure out what went wrong so you could try again. It's really on you what you do with that time."
Shun shrugged after he said this, then raised an eyebrow as she said she was going to focus on her own goals.
"And what might those be?"
The last he recalled, she didn't know what her goals were.

Maybe she should have asked Mot to clarify what he meant when he said they needed time. Time to let go, or time to give it another try? Damn it. If Hel was smart and actually thought about this stuff…she would have asked.
She certainly wasn’t going to go face him and ask anytime soon.
“…I can not answer that, either.” She shrugged half-heartedly. “Maybe I will find out one day, ya?” Maybe. She was thankful for the topic change though. “…My goals…ya! To become better at parkour…and…I went and spoke to the school counselor…” Well, more like harassed, but it was the same thing really. “He suggested that I look into Trick or Treating for once I graduate.”

So it seemed that Hel had an actual goal at this point in time. A trick or treater too. Thinking about it, the Valkyrie did seem like the sort to go into that particular field.
"It suits you," he stated with a nod, "I hear it isn't easy getting in. Good luck to you."

Yay topic changes.
Hel nodded her head a bit. “…Ya…Something challenging that will keep me busy…thank you friend…” The ghoul reached up to rub at her chest, where sadly, it still ached, and she had a feeling it wasn’t going to get better anytime soon. She needed…something to do. She turned back towards Shun. “H…hey! Shall we go…find a park in town and…keep on training for parkour?” She questioned of him, hopeful that he’d say yes.

Hel was eager to jump into a subject that wasn’t Mot related.
The ghoul pushed herself to her feet as well, and nodded her head firmly. “Ya! I am always ready!” She returned, trying to persuade him. “You do not learn if you do not push yourself! Come on, Shun! Let us do this!”

"Just don't whine if you break something," Shun said flatly while placing his hands back into his pockets. The Reaper turned about and started to head towards the town.

Hel scoffed, immediately falling into step with the grim reaper as they headed back to town. “I do not whine, Shun.” She replied, a bit disgruntled. But hey…maybe if she broke something else…
It take the focus off of her heart.
