He was a bit more relieved when she started explaining what her parents did for her and her siblings. "My father wants me to fight, but my Mother is another case. I really don't mind the lab work it keeps me busy and occupied. But I know my father is training my younger siblings. Is it bad for me to want to learn combat myself? I would like to protect my family and friends. My mother should know all to well about feeling useless on the battlefield before he learned to fight himself." The fresh air was showing good for him for once. He really stopped thinking about his projects and the worries of getting things done. "I doubt this war is ever going to end if there can't be any peace between either faction."

Hess just gave a slight nod on the subject thinking about it some as he finished his salad. "I still have yet to see any files about their children. I wouldn't mind seeing what we're up against. I know as the parents combined they are not going to be easy to trifle with." Taking off his glasses he took out a small cloth to clean them with. "Coa, would you know anyone who wouldn't mind training me in secret? I know my Mother would be against it, but I feel I have to be of some use."

"The problem with that is that my parents have a greater chance of finding out if I was trained on base." He leaned forward some on the table, his chin resting on his hands. "Have you met any of their kids by chance?"

"At least your Mother was sure you were safe. I know my family would be against it, but I want to meet them. I would like to know what we're up against." the thought never left his mind about that. To be able to get one hand up against the enemy would mean less on either side getting hurt, or so he hoped. "Yes, though they would probably catch on after awhile. I was thinking of asking Hunter, but I know word would be out in an instant."

"Sometimes just one person can make the difference though, Coa. I want to talk to them, not fight them. Even if there's no common ground with the parents maybe there will be in the children. Just look at out parents for example. Things can go a long way if we just learn to understand each other. The training I would very much appreciate, but as for meeting the offspring. I want to do that alone." He figured he could trust Coa enough so she wouldn't inform anyone about his plan. He really hoped maybe he could talk with them and bring somewhat of an agreement between them, if not there were other ways of going about bad situations.

"Coa, I never said you would be coming with me. I know how your Mother doesn't want you to cross paths with them. It's bad enough you have once already. This will be of my own accord. You don't need to protect me and I'm thankful for your concern." He sighed as he got up from his seat to clean the table. "I'll have a talk with them. Even if they're trained under Megatron and of his blood, they're still part of Soundwave as well. He has some good in him at least."

"You don't know that." Hess argued as he followed her. He wasn't one to raise his voice, he never really did as a child, he was in fact pretty calm most of his life. "If this was a war we would be shooting it out on each other. I understand the Cons and the Bots they don't see eye to eye, but I feel somehow a change can be made. My Mother shouldn't be fighting anymore anyways. He's endured enough. As for my Dad he knows all to well what a Con is capable of, don't you remember the files or at least the stories where his old name was Deadlock? Maybe I can convince the same with Megarton & Soundwaves children. They may have just been mislead and need help in the right direction."

Hess took a step back when he saw her tears. Clenching his fist he understood, but he also felt as though she was sheltering him as well. "Coa, you're starting to portray what my parents feel. I don't need to be locked up like some lab rat. You're not guaranteed I'll be harmed and with myself being unarmed I'm sure they won't attack me if I show no threat. They've asked before upon our help and released their enemies unharmed and we have vise verse. You're getting a bit over emotional about this don't you think?" He sighed, doubting that any of his words would convince her otherwise, she seems rather stubborn like her Mother was.
