Despite his desire to troll the shop's staff a little today, West was actually quite a fan of the clothing they sold here. He even went out of his way to keep from starting fights in his purchases most of the time. He nodded at the door demon, relaxing his features so he wouldn't seem quite so mischievous. West had been trying to provoke anger as he had been taught, but when the boil opened himself to this doorman, he felt nothing at all. He turned slightly on his way past, trying to get a good look at the demon's face. Nope. That was disgust, not rage. That really didn't make it any less funny.

The majority of the attendants froze in place when West and Levi invaded their territory. Only two didn't immediately look as though they had smelled something Christmassy—one was a young, perky ghoul who gave Levi a happy little wave, the other an older demoness who didn't even seem to notice they were there. A tall, bearded demon led the sudden exodus, very nearly knocking a sour-looking attendant off of her feet in his haste to get away from the couple. Somewhere along the way, even the pleasant ghoul was dragged out of the area. The sour attendant was the only one left after everyone else was gone, and she took up her duty admirably, standing up straighter and click-clacking over to West, her heels as shiny as the door demon's shoes.

"May I help you, S—"

West cut her off with a simple gesture. He pointed at Levi and said, "Fer her. Like she said, prom. An' when yer done, maybe somethin' that matches fer me."

Ah, there it was. He didn't even have to be feeling for it to tell. The demoness' face was impassive, but her seething ire was so obvious that the boil was amazed she was able to keep it contained. West smiled, the expression a bit more predatory than he had intended. He turned to a nearby rack, peeking at the first thing he touched. There was barely any fabric on the hanger, and it took the boil a moment to realize it was actually an entire outfit. He swallowed. Best not to think about that right now.

The space became surprisingly open in no time. Just fellow customers and a ...demoness? More shiny shoes had Levi sliding her gaze from the attendant's face down to her feet as West mentioned that it was her who was to be tended to. Ah, so that was what he meant by it depending on me. Her boilfriend was intending to match with her garment; Levi's innards felt funny just then, picturing the doorway as they walked in together, causing her cheeks to grow warm. Hopefully she wasn't getting ill, Levi thought while brushing a hand over her midsection briefly. If she was smiling about this newfound information, the attendant's face was likely a terrible reflection of it; no smile was to be seen when the stern demoness eyed the monster ghoul.

"And what exactly would be suitable for your tastes on that evening, Miss?" The underlined question was: Do you have any taste at all? Judging by Levi's current attire, the answer was no. She might just have gone behind the maul and picked something out of the dumpster from the rejected stock of lesser shops for all she knew. Barbaric. The demoness showed no physical signs of her inner thoughts, but the absolute pain and bitterness of having to deal with this situation was there.

Don't know what's what fer wearin', but wore a dress last year. So... maybe lookin' fer'a dress? The attendant looked as though she'd just confirmed an answer to an unknown question. Had it been permissible for her to rub at her temples, she would have done so. Alas, she simply went on as a professional.

"... of course."

The tatzel's head tilted slightly away from the stern-faced demoness for a moment to take a look at what West was holding. That fer me? Levi was serious; was that what was in fashion for this year? Or was it- Or fer yew? There was something not quite settling about West using that garment. How would he even fit into it? What had been turning around in her stomach earlier in a ticklish sort of way had suddenly gone sour. Levi didn't want to imagine that again.

Mildly concerned that foul projectile vomiting was about to occur on their products, the attendant interjected. "Miss, if you're looking for the latest in VOUV, please follow me. I have a garment in mind for you to suit your... style perhaps. Though you may need to try it on for proper sizing." She'd need to have it burned afterwards.

The attendant with the shiny shoes didn't want to have this low-class beast child outfitting herself in the glamour that was Vepar designs, but neither would she be the one to cause or allow calamity. This was a place of elegance and beauty and she would simply have to take this eyesore and clean it up. Again, she was a professional, after all; a very agitated one at the moment...but a representative nonetheless!

Levi kept up, following after, but continuously looked back to West, keeping him within a reasonable distance. Appearing before a wide section at the back of the store, the demoness looked sternly at Levi and examined her once more. "All of our gowns suitable for evenings out can be seen here." There was a moment of pause as if she'd half expected the ghoul to step up and examine some of the garments herself; it didn't happen. "Do you have any specifications of what you might enjoy in a dress?" This was the demoness' way of dubbing down for Levi. Of course there were far to many types of VOUV dresses for her to realistically categorize them as just dresses, but if this mongrel was incapable of understanding that...

Uh... The tatzel ghoul's tail flickered as she thought, trying to piece together something to offer. Her eyes darted towards the wrath demon to see if he had any ideas before giving what she could. I like orange?

"... of course." With a few more clicks of those shiny heels, the attendant's fingers reached out toward the fabric of one dress, looking back over to Levi and not bothering to take it off the rack just yet. "I believe this should fit you well enough. Would you care to try it on?"

Again, Levi looked at West, as if he'd know better causing the attendant to internally huff in agitation. The demoness was likely a master of this sort of thing, Levi reasoned, so surely it was fine to trust her judgement on this call. Sure thing! Where do'I-

The demoness cut off Levi's inquiry sharply, whisking the dress off its place on display and down the depths of the shop in the blink of an eye. "Follow me, please." The attendant's eyes moved from Levi to West, extending the offer to him as well if he was her... escort in this venture.

"No," West said, a bit too quickly. "Neither." His hand shot back toward the rack as he clumsily rehung the tiny article of clothing in the vicinity of where he had found it. Unlike Levi's reaction to him potentially wearing something nearly nonexistent, all of his musings on the opposite arrangement were distractingly positive. Not the sorts of mental images he wanted to nurture in public. He had been sure such thoughts were decently scoured from his brain a minute ago, but in response to her question they returned in full force. West had never been a very imaginative boil, but he found he was quite skilled at picturing this.

A wave of relief threatened to knock him over as his fingers brushed against more substantial fabrics. Looking down at the rack as he passed, West noticed a thick, lengthy coat on a nearby hanger. It definitely wasn't a dress, or anything well suited for him to wear to prom for that matter, but that didn't mean he couldn't take it home anyway. While his parents wouldn't make that big of a stink if he spent some silver here, it might still be nice to show them something their money had bought that wasn't clinging to a certain ghoul's body. West checked several tags, grabbing the coat that was in his size before following after Levi and her irate attendant. He was kind of amazed that the other demon had managed to lead them along without punching something, but he supposed his presence made an actual sale appear more likely. It seemed VOUV's employees would do anything for a commission.

When he felt the tatzel's eyes on him, West looked up. Levi was asking him things, but she seemed to be doing just fine without his input. As always, she could take care of herself, especially when dealing with this bitchy demoness. A part of him liked seeing her checking to make sure he was close or silently asking for his opinion, and every time she did so, he graced her with the small, pleased grin he didn't know was on his face.

As their disgruntled hostess led them into the depths of the store, West kept up readily enough, but he found himself stopping before they had reached their destination. Seeing Levi in any potential prom outfit seemed almost improper, but he wasn't about to say so. The dressing room and the ghoul about to head into it were just within sight from where he stood, and he nodded at her, shifting his coat to his other hand. "You go in. I'll be 'ere." He glanced down at the closest rack. These outfits were nearly as small as that other one.

It wasn't like she needed his approval or anything but she did it was a plus. The wrath demon was supposed to be a pro when it came to this sort of thing, afterall. The thick black leather curtain slid to one side on silver grommets and the attendant moved aside to allow Levi to step in the change room within, leaving the dress hanging on a hook inside.

"For now, please undress and I will assist you shortly once I've gathered the rest of the ensemble." This ghoul would need all the help she could get putting it on as it was meant to be seen if she was going to walk around in it. Wearing it incorrectly would be even more of a disgrace to the Vespar name. Alrighty. Can I just close thi- "I'll shut the curtain for you, Miss. Simply begin to undress and I will return."

Letting out a heaving breath as the grommets slide back over to remove Levi from sight, the demoness went to work collecting the various accessories and items that coordinated with the gown. If a sale was going to be made here, she'd make sure it was worth her efforts. Soon rustling was heard from inside the dressing room, and occasionally a bump would appear against the curtain; someone was obviously turning around in there.

The demoness had a few items already in her arms that were for underneath the dress when she passed by West, noticing his choice of coat. There might have been some displeasure in seeing how he'd creased it over his arm without a care. "That coat is part of one of Vepar's new lines, Sir. A hand stitched suede inverness overcoat appropriate for only the most capable of demons." It was unclear from her expression whether she was judging him based on his being there with the monster or if she was praising him for being a well-standing demon by appearance alone.

Undressed, Levi waited behind the curtain, now trying her best to keep her tail in a corner as to not break anything. The seat in here might be worth 3 million silver or something. With a quick movement, the heavy curtain flitted to allow the attendant in once she'd left West, but not enough for outside spectators to view inside. The demoness had brought all the needed undergarments that would appropriately fit her for the outfit pending they were all the correct sizing. Which they were. How'd she know?!

Among the array of sounds of zipping, pulling and ruffling coming from the stall, a tatzel's voice chimed. Sure this ain't missin' a piece?

"No, Miss, the back is open."

What 'bout this part 'ere? Are ya'supposed ta'see ma-

"Yes, it's supposed to be this way. Please hold still while I enclose this last clasp... ...there. Have a look outside by the mirrors." The attendant pulled the curtain aside, hugging onto the wall of the filled dressing room while Levi stepped back out in full attire. From the necklace that co-ordinated to the tailpiece, down to her shoes that made her taller than the usual, Levi seemed to have been given the complete package.

"Please stand up here, Miss, so I can see if the bottom hem would require any adjustments."

Eh, right right. Umm- just up 'ere? Like this? Once up on the platform in front of a tri-fold mirror, the ghoul broken her elegant demeanor by opening her mouth and hollering as usual.

West! C'mon'over 'ere. Whaddaya'think, city boil? Fancy 'nuff fer ya ta'match? The demoness huffed internally again, fabric snapped out of her fingers as Levi turned around once for the wrath demon to see the outfit completely.

"The length is fine." The attendant too now looked to West, suspecting it was his call on if the garment was suitable for this detestable ghoul.

As the curtain slid shut, West almost sighed. Loudly. He was alone, or at least as alone as he could get in a public clothing store. This was definitely one part of the shopping experience he could live without, though he did notice this instance felt a lot less awkward than the similar trips he'd taken with his mother and ex. Less awkward, perhaps, but far more nervewracking for a number of reasons. At least if he told Levi she looked like s**t in her dress, there would be punching instead of phony tears. He could handle punching.

West continued pawing through the racks of fancy clothes. Orange. He had tried to keep his eyes to himself when the attendant had pulled the dress from its display, but he would have had to have been blind to miss one of its predominant colors. Normally West didn't wear much of it, but if they were going to make an impression, he would have to find something that both suited him and complemented her. Wouldn't he? A sudden vision of the pair of them walking into prom arm in arm invaded his thoughts and West froze. His fingers dug into the fabric of the coat he held as he willed the thoughts away. Everyone would assume they were just going as... friends, right? Training partners. That matched. Who was he kidd—

He turned sharply at the attendant's voice. West couldn't tell if she had intended to be condescending or not, nor did he care at the moment. The faintest flare of excess anger rose in his chest in response to how easily he had been startled. He felt the bubble of emotion expand like his FEAR sometimes did right before it was released, and for a second he wondered if things were about to get out of hand, but then the bubble... popped. A pale demon on the other side of the store shouted something angry and nearly incomprehensible about shoes, then went stomping toward the door. West stared. Had he...? Nah.

"Thanks," the boil replied, distraction dampening what he had intended to be a sarcastic sneer into something that sounded much closer to genuine. He shook his head, turning to face the woman properly, but she was gone, slipping back into the booth with more accessories and undergarments bundled in her arms than he had ever had to worry about in his life. He moved closer to the curtain, straining to hear their conversation at first, but soon able to make out what they were saying fairly easily.

Even though he was eavesdropping, West was ill prepared for their sudden reemergence. The swish the curtain made as the demoness pushed it aside had him scrambling away as if he had just be caught doing something far more serious than standing near an occupied changing booth. He aimed to appear disinterested in the whole affair. He failed. West moved forward again, peering around the corner as Levi climbed atop the designated pedestal and called out to him.

He had grown as used to seeing her in her usual clothing as he was likely to ever get, but it still didn't really prepare him for what she looked like all fancied up. No, the dress certainly didn't look like s**t. West was quiet as she turned, admiring the flash of her legs and expanse of unblemished back. This was nothing like the dress he had ruined. He rather selfishly thought this one was much, much better.

"Nicer'n the old one," West murmured. He stared for a few seconds longer then shook his head faintly. "Y...yeah," he continued with more volume, meeting her challenge with a smirk. "I can match that jus' fine. How's it feel?" There was little point in buying it if it itched or whatever. He glanced at the attendant. Yes, he was implying that Vepar clothing might not be the most comfortable clothing in Halloween. Deal with it.

Levi wanted to frown in objection when West suggested this new dress was better than the last, given the work put into it, but she couldn't. The ghoul's face remained stuck in a grin when looking at the wrath demon.

Seems ta'feel good'nuff.

Usually Levi would perform some intense stretches or moves to test out the comfort and mobility of a garment-

this was no exception.

Rising onto her decorated tail, Levi swayed the skirt this way and that, testing the weight and stability of the fabric. The demoness' face lingered between baffled and outraged, completely drained of anything that could be considered a visual response to what this customer was doing. Hmm.. yep. This part's good n' tight. Though there ain't much of'it. The ghoul placed her hands at her midsection, emphasizing that the bodice was fitting as it should. Reckon that'll be good fer tha'rest'a this. Pretty heavy compared ta'tha' other one I wore. But ain't uncomfortable by'a long shot. Could probably git'in'a cartwhee-

"Miss, that position? You may want to reconsider standing in such a way or you will wrinkle your tail accessory in the process. It would be best to remain on your feet while in this gown as much as possible." Somewhere in there was a facepalm dying to be made, but also a swift backhand to the disobedient scarling soiling the name of Vepar. How she missed the good old days. She had to admit, however, that the dress did fit well on the ghoul; just a reflection of her abilities as a representative.

Oh geeze, yeah, yer right. Slinking back onto her toes, tail curling back upward behind her, Levi offered a hand out to West, leaning towards him on the podium, allowing him to see the delicate intricacy on her gloves. What'bout these? Think I'need all'a these sorta things? The black crystal necklace, the matching chandelier earrings, the bracelet, the hair fasteners and the stockings... the attendant had been quite thorough.

The demoness' eyes fell on West, the obvious real client here, interested to see what he choose to keep given his earlier questioning on the comfort of her preferred designer's work. However, even if he had made light mockery of it, he still appeared to be a young demon of adequate standing. Adjusting her fashionably streamline spectacles, the demoness smiled at West, internally wishing with a black ball of growing hate in her chest that these two clients would not stay in here any longer than was absolutely necessary to close the deal.

Don't kiss her hand. Don't kiss her—

He turned Levi's hand in his, the smirk he wore going goofy around the edges as he leaned closer. It was nice, all of it, the tail thing and the necklace and the gloves that slid against his fingers, at least until they started catching on the rough edges of his nails. West let go, narrowing his eyes up at her in a decidedly conspiratorial fashion before looking over at their charming assistant.

Yes, old hag. He knew exactly how you really felt.

West smiled. "If th' lady wants it, we'll take it all." He nodded mostly to himself, closing his eyes for a moment and taking a deep, quiet breath. The attendant's anger was back, lingering in his periphery, calling to him. All he had to do was reach out and pull it closer. But... he shouldn't. He couldn't. He looked back at the tatzel, clearly pleased with her but not about to explain why. "So yeah, if y'like it all well enough yerself... I guess... wait." He pointed at her feet without looking down. "Shoes. An' I guess I could try some too." The more he bought for himself, the more likely it was that he would be able to convince his parents not to dissipate him a few hundred times in a row.

The demoness nodded, her anger fading ever so slightly once again now that she had something concrete to do. Wrath was funny that way. Distract someone thoroughly enough and for long enough and they forgot all about it. She took a discreet look at their feet and hurried off, returning under a minute later with a pair of shoeboxes. They were matte black with a shiny inlaid VOUV pressed into each of their tops, and neither of the boxes had a scuff on them. She handed one to West. The other she opened, carefully pulling out a heeled shoe and internally preparing herself to help the monster ghoul into it.

It was hard letting go, quite literally, as West held her gloved hand within his. She could tell his hands weren't nearly as soft as hers; they were, as she always thought, rough like rocks. This was by no means a negative trait as far as she was concerned. Levi looked at this as the boil being a hard worker and not afraid of getting into the nitty gritty. West may have been a demon, and she didn't know much about his kin, but as far as the tatzel was concerned, he had some of the better qualities of/qualities better than a good old country boil.

"... of course, Sir." The demoness' smiling face turned toward Levi, waiting for an answer as if the ghoul could validate whether or not this pieces was worthy of HER purchase. This was absolute blasphemy.

Hand now running along, tracing the edges of where the dress leveled at the back, Levi's ears perked back into attention when she felt the invisible force of eyes beaming at her. Don't see why not. Got yer approval n' yew ain't no mild looker. He dressed sleek; always did. The tatzel caught herself too late after complimenting the boil, looking away only for a moment before turning back to look at the wrath demon like he were magnetized for her.

Stepping off of the platform, Levi stepped into West's personal space, brushing gently at one of his shoulders where a crease threatened to occur due to his holding the jacket. With the attendant taking her moment to get the shoes, it was just the two of them in that area. N' ya sure know what'cha like. Gettin' that fer yew? A gloved hand petted over some of the fur trim on the coat West had picked up, pleased by the homely feeling she got from it.

The hand slid across his belly just by her fingertips, gathering up his free hand and tugging him toward a direction. C'mon, I think we gotta go over there fer shoes. Levi felt a sense of pride at being able to recognize this by a box left open in front of the seating provided. The low, richly embellished sofa had a wooden frame with breakfast pillows tucked precisely under the arm rests in such a way so that they were permanently there, but the fabric remained looking neat and crisp.

"Miss..."

When the attendant returned with the boxes, Levi couldn't quite sit, but she placed a hand over one of the arm rests, deciding to avoid balancing with her tail given the lecture she'd received earlier. Taking a knee, the demoness sighed internally, slipping one of the black stilettos onto the ghoul's feet, following shortly with the other. "Try to take a few steps with them and get a feel for them with the length of the dress. This is the proper height for wearing a skirt of this length, so if these are not to your liking, I will be looking for something of the same heel height."

With that warning in mind, Levi bunched up a bit of the skirt at the front, taking a look at the shoes before standing up straight again and clicking her heels away from the couch a handful of steps before returning back to it. They feel funny, but if they ain't boots 're sandals, they're gonna be, kekeke.

"...of course."

But I think they work, aye? They worked, but how did they look?

"Yeah, thought I might get it," he replied, watching her hand brush what would surely be his new coat now that she'd said she liked it, then trail across his stomach. He didn't actually watch that part, but he might as well have, considering how easily he could picture it. West's smile faltered slightly as a wave of heat threatened to color the back of his neck. He cleared his throat. Wrath demons did not blush.

"Mmmhm." The boil didn't fight her as she led him to where the other demon had paused. West wanted to go where Levi did. He wanted to buy her whatever she liked, even if that meant he walked into prom with a spandex-clad ghoul on his arm. He was weak. The sudden jolt of reality triggered by her touch didn't sit well. At least he wasn't blushing anymore.

His grin didn't return as he lifted the lid of his box, though he didn't really frown either. He focused his attention on the pair of dress shoes that had been chosen for him instead. They were easier to think about than she was at the moment. At first, the shoes appeared black in the box, and very shiny, but when he picked one up and turned it in his hands, a flash of deep orange emerged from the darkness, brightening further when the light caught the shoe at just the right angle. They were quite something, the polar opposite of the worn old boots he had donned on a whim as he'd dressed for Scarentine's.

He sat on the pristine sofa, tugging off one of the boots he wore now before slipping a foot into one of the new shoes. West looked up when he heard Levi clip-clopping away. If she could do that, she would certainly be mobile enough in that getup to... dance. Jackin' hell. He sighed.

Focusing on the tatzel's heels, West found himself nodding in approval at their detailing, their perfect fit, the way they enhanced the muscles of her legs, how they flattered everything else the attendant had chosen for Levi, despite her obvious distaste. The woman was a great deal more adept at forcing herself to act appropriately, even when his senses told him she still felt anything but calm and helpful on the inside. Maybe that sort of control came with age.

"They work great," he assured his ghoulfriend. "Very... nice." He couldn't bring himself to call the whole thing pretty in front of the demoness right now, even if he thought so. West forced a smirk instead. It was faint, but probably enough to hide his displeasure over his own perceived weakness. "How's mine?" He rose to his feet and turned his one unlaced shoe toward Levi, so she could get a better look at it.

Kekeke~ I like'em... Of course, this had nothing to do with the style or fashion but was all about choice colors. -but yew should tie'em up n' see whatcha'think with'em all proper. It was Levi losing sight of her current situation that made her move to retrieve West's other shoe herself. The click of her heels was what stopped her in a mid-bend, gloved fingers pulling back up to fold behind her back. Right- she might damage the dress or something by crinkling it that way.

Uh, nevermind. M'sure they'd look just fine with whatever ya' choose. Best ta'see 'em altogether, I reckon ta'ppreciate 'em. He did suit that orange and black combination rather well. Levi hadn't thought of any other time when he'd worn them, but her curiosity of what the whole package might look like was sitting there in the back of the ghoul's mind, threatening to come forward with a rage of its own. Perhaps she'd been looking at those ghouly magazines the other day too long or something.

The demoness wasn't at all lost. she wasn't there to scarlingsit for a couple of mismatched teenagers. She wanted to see them at the register as soon as possible while being fully professional about her approach. "If you're thinking of co-ordinating somehow with the young Miss, Sir, we have ties, vests, and dress shirts in the exact same color." Her patience might have been dwindling. "May I assist you in removing your gown? Shall I have it wrapped, Sir?" Though she spoke to Levi, it was merely a means to an end. West would have the final say as to whether or not her efforts were worth the embarrassment.

Sure! Lemme just take these off... The process of heel removal consisted of the tatzel shaking her foot in an attempt to loosen the hold the leather had on her foot. The shoe did not comply. "WE can ... remove those in the dressing room as well, Miss." With worry of shoes flying through the air at other customers, the demoness interjected to stop the shoe assault from continuing.

Taking a few steps back towards the dressing room with their attendant leading the way, Levi whispered something over to West with a smirk, kicking the front of her dress lightly with the point of her shoe. Trade ya'?

He peeked at the attendant when Levi went for his shoe, but the demon woman's face was impassive, perfectly still and expressionless right up until the moment she spoke. Yeah, that pretty much confirmed it. It was time to go.

"Was thinkin' more 'long th' lines of a sweater," he replied. "I think I'd like t'see a couple when yer done wit' th'dress. An' yeah. Wrap it up." He grinned. For a moment, West felt like a regular old haughty demon teenager with an endless bank account and a ghoul to spend it all on. He felt above this woman. He felt like his father. His grin faltered.

"We'll be outta yer hair soon," he muttered. It was a rare showing of kindness from the boil, purposefully in direct opposition to how he had been shown demons should act all his life. West did not want to ever act like his father. He took a seat once more, bending over and pulling the other shoe out of its box. When Levi passed, he craned his neck up a bit, raising a finger with the intent of drawing it up her calf, but stopping himself before he followed through.

"I couldn't do 'em justice," he chuckled.

West sat up straight again, watching the tatzel and her attendant close the distance back to the dressing room before turning his attention to the task at hand. Once his shoes were tied, he stood up, examining them in the mirror. He was already wearing a lot of black today, so it was fairly easy to imagine what they'd look like with a proper suit. Fancy. But more importantly, they'd look good with that dress. Not... like if he wore it or anything.

"Hrmm," West murmured as he shook his head. It was almost less unsettling to think about Levi running her hand across... no, stop it.
