Xavier caught the angry look he was given from Anton, and he glanced away quickly, embarrassed. He didn't bother with eating any of the energy bars. He wasn't hungry, and besides, they had food in Amai's pack. He just wasn't sure they had enough for six people. He glanced around at all of them. He wasn't sure about the Anton guy, but he didn't have a problem with Vladimir so far. He seemed kind of a quiet person at first, but he could see he warmed up fast. He listened intently to Lyra, pretty much tuning everyone else out. He was careful to make sure he didn't give a weird expression towards her again, but he did take a few minutes to look at her every so often. He frowned when he heard her mom had died, and he felt for her. He knew how it was, because his parents were gone, but he didn't say anything to her. He felt nervous around her, and he had a feeling that all he would be able to get out anyway would be, 'Uhh'. He nodded at Vladimir, letting him know that he didn't mind his suggestion about taking that route on the road, or getting a new car. He hated the way the truck bounced over every crack in the road, and it's engine was much too loud. It would attract zombies from miles away, also attracting their death wish. He took a deep breath when their was a brief silence, and said a bit more loudly than necessary, hoping to get Lyra's attention, "I'm Xavier. I had an apartment in San Diego. I've been living on my own for a couple of years, surviving and fighting for my life. No big deal." He managed a small smile, but then realized he sounded full of himself. Everyone had been fighting for their lives for a while now, he wasn't the only one. "Sorry," He muttered quietly. He sat down on the side opposite of Lyra and Amai, ducking his face out of the sunlight, flushing brightly. He half expected Anton to say, 'You're a moron, you know that?' But when he didn't, Xavier felt relieved and calmed down a bit, keeping to himself.

Trixie was surprised to hear that Anton was from Maryland, and knew how to hunt. His story piked up her interest, and she continued to stand up and watch him in the truck, not even trying to hide her stare. She didn't even flinch when they hit a zombie on a quick turn. So the two in the front were cousins. She noticed they really didn't look anything alike, other than their light brown hair. But Vladimir's had more of a golden tint to it, or so she could see so far. And Anton had more of an older, experienced look about him, and she could see he didn't trust anyone that easily, unlike Trixie. She tried to stifle a loud laugh with a cough when she saw Anton shoot Xavier an irritated and disgusted look, seeing that he had made a loving glance at Lyra. If it weren't for Anton, she had a feeling Xavier would have been drooling by now. She glanced away from Anton long enough to reach in the bag for one of the energy bar, but she didn't bother to eat it. She held it in her hand, finally turning her curious gaze onto Vladimir as he turned around in his seat with the map in his hands. She wasn't too keen on the idea of having no supplies if they ran out the way there, nor the idea they were getting out of California. "Whoa, whoa." She said, putting her hands up angrily. She straightened up and looked Vladimir in the eye once he was finished. "We are driving out of California?" She was in shocked disbelief, but quickly recovered. "What? I thought..no. I can't go to Georgia. I'm not familiar with the place. I've lived in Cali all my life. I'm not leaving it now." She took a defensive stance, crossing her arms as she raised her chin, meeting eyes in the mirror with Anton. "So you can just let me out now. I can manage on my own. I'm not leaving now, not ever." She waited for Anton to stop, so she could get out. Her tone had never wavered, nor had her determined stare at all of them. She hadn't realized that they were going to leave California, and just because they expected all survivors there, didn't mean she had to go. They could screw themselves, and the CDC.

Amai listened intently to the other introduce themselves. She had stiffled a laugh when she noticed Xavier glancing at Lyra every five minutes. We're all trapped in this car dude, she's not going anywhere. she thought. She nodded when Xavier finished but cringed back a little when Trixie said she didn't to leave California. Amai had just assumed everyone knew what was going to happen once they met up. She was about to speak up but something about Trixie said that she was the fighting type; Amai was definitely not. Plus, Trixie had a gun.

Lyra had been wiping the blade of the cleaver off with her shirt tail. Most of the redness came off but it seemed as some of it was stained on. She sat there, completely oblivious to the stares she was recieving from Xavier. The only thing that made her glance up was when Trixie declared she didn't want to leave the state. She returned to her cleaning but spoke up. "So you don't want to leave because you're unfamiliar with Georgia? Because you've lived here all your life? Well look around you. There's nothing left for you here; hell, this place should look pretty unfamiliar to you. I mean, are you saying that growing up it was normal for you to see people eating each other?" She stuck the blade back in the bag's front pocket and looked directly at Trixie. "Look, if you want to stay here that's fine with me. With an attitude like that, you'll probably just get us killed anyway." She then grabbed the bat and began wiping that off; her expression never changed, even as she spoke.

Anton R.
Anton slammed on the breaks. The car tires screamed as the large hunk of metal skidded to a stop. “You gotta be kidding me.” Anton said as he turned around and looked at her. Anton fixed his eyes on Trixie. “If you wanna leave and get yourself killed then so be it. It’s less weight and people that I have to deal with.” Anton said as he stared at her. “So if you want to be stupid, ignorant, and dead within a matter of hours then be my guest. You have ten minutes to decide before I start driving again.” He didn’t understand how someone could be so ignorant. She stood no chance once her ammunition ran out and especially now that she would be on her own. He found her pride and attitude intriguing since it reminded him of his own. These people were interesting. He examined all of them in his head. Fighter, hormone freak, shyness were some of the words that came into his head.

Vladimir R.
Vladimir listened to his cousin drill the girl.
“Anton we need her.” he said as he looked over at him.
”We don’t need anyone that’s going to slow us down. Do you want to die?” Anton glared at his cousin.
“Not really.” Vladimir reluctantly said.
”Then shut up.” Anton turned his gaze back to Trixie.
Vladimir began to determine the odds of what could happen. All of them would end up badly for either party. There was death and there was less help. Both of which wouldn’t be the best option. Vladimir turned back in his seat and sat quietly hoping that the girl would make the wisest decision. Vladimir wasn’t much of a persuader nor was he an arguer so he felt awkward in the front seat. He didn’t want to try and end up making things worse. He patiently waited as he counted down the minutes before a possible zombie attack.

Xavier was surprised more than anything when Trixie spoke up about not leaving California. "Are you crazy?" Was all he got out before he was cut off by Lyra. He turned his gaze on her, his eyes not leaving her face once as she spoke. He was amazed at how well she handled her emotions. He knew that she was right on everything she said, and he hoped that Trixie would listen to her. But he could tell that both girls were stubborn, and he wasn't sure on how their relationship would work out. He had a feeling Trixie would fight back at her, and Lyra wouldn't care. He sighed as he listened to them all banter back and forth, and he winced when he felt the car jerk to a stop because of Anton. He hated this truck, but he stayed silent about it. Besides, even if he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to get a word in edgewise between the three of them. He knew Vladimir was making a smart decision about staying out of the fight, and he would do that also. There was no point to it, and they should have known they were all wasting their breath. Trixie was crazy if she thought it was okay to stay in California all alone, with only a loaded gun and a knife. The gun would run out soon enough, and she would have no one to help her if she got overpowered.

A million emotions were running through Trixie as they spoke to her, but mostly anger and annoyance. At that moment, she hated the girl called Lyra. She hated the way she stayed calm about it, and spoke with a bored sort of voice. "California has not always been empty and full of carnivores," She said through gritted teeth. She wanted to smack the girl. She wanted to pull out her gun also, but decided against it. It would only cause chaos, and she didn't want more violence then they were already up against. "I don't care what you think, but this is my home. My heart lies here, and no one can change the way I feel about it." Trixie felt tears form in her eyes, but she forced them down. There was no need to cry; it would only show weakness. Her expression of irritation didn't change as the car stopped, and she raised her gaze to Anton's as he spoke up. She narrowed her eyes, shaking her head. "No, I am not kidding you. No one told me that they expected us to be in any state but California. Georgia is much too far away, it will take days to get there. And I might never see California again." She curled her hands into fists as he said she had only ten minutes to decide. "And I could wind up dead with the rest of you just as much as I could out there on my own. I have been fighting for every single day of my life ever since I was six. So don't try and tell me I only have hours to live. You no nothing about me." She glared at Anton, but it wasn't as strong as it had been on Lyra earlier. She rolled her eyes when Vladimir began whispering to him once again. "I'm right here, you idiot." She said to the both of them, waving her arms around in a sarcastic manner. "And I would not slow you down." She took a few seconds to calm down, her fingers inches away from pulling out her weapons. It wasn't a good choice, but she was eager to use them. Don't, she reminded herself. This will only cause trouble, and you don't need much more of that. She tried thinking which was the best way to go. Sure, she had lived in California all of her life, but Lyra was right. The state was pretty much abandoned, and even if she could out power zombies, she would become more lonely then ever. She had remembered how excited she had been to see Xavier run into the store. It had been nice to talk to humans again, and if she left, she possibly wouldn't see another one for who knew how long, if ever. She closed her eyes, trying to steady her breathing as her mind jumbled around with thoughts. "I.." She winced. She hated saying that she was wrong. "I guess that..you would need my help, and I need you all just as much. I am sick and tired of dealing with zombies alone, and..there could be a chance of being surprised and not killing one in time. So, I will take your offer and leave my home. But, do you know how long we will be gone? I'm still not too sure about this Georgia thing." She pointed her attention back on Anton, relaxing her face back into an expression of calmness. "I am sorry if I cause you trouble. I just feel a connection here." She hinted at a smile. "And I am excited to see other parts of the country," Trixie admitted. She sighed, sitting down for the first time in the truck. "Just go ahead, and start driving." She shot Anton a stubborn look before settling down, not even glancing at Lyra. She wasn't sure she liked the girl, but she didn't need another enemy. The zombies were plenty.

Amai settled into her seat watching as Trixie, Lyra, and Anton yelled at each other. She didn't even want to speak up; she didn't want these crazy people to turn on her. What could she say anyway? She grew mousy and stayed as quiet as Vlad and Xavier.

Lyra simply snickered at Trixie's conclusion to stay, almost as if she knew that Trixie would have chosen to stay in the first place. "That choice you just made was the correct one. Although you are right about one thing, we all have a very possible chance of dying. I have already come to terms with death. However, my only goal to at least get my blood there. For my mother...and my friends...and everyone else. If I die, at least others will live." She stuck her weapons in front of her and leaned her chin on the end of the bat. She then spoke to Xavier, although she didn't turn to look at him. "Why do you keep boring holes into the back of my head?"

Anton R.
Anton looked at the girl who finally gave up the fight. She seemed to calm down a little before addressing him, but she was still irate and hostile. He looked at all of them shooting them glares. “Anyone else want to throw a tantrum? If so then you can get out.” Anton didn’t see any objections and he turned around and put the car in drive. I knew I should’ve went alone. Anton mumbled to himself before driving off. He continued along the highway and snatched the map from Vladimir. He looked back and forth: map then road, road then map, etc. He memorized the route and made sure to keep to it. As the car was following the winding highway, a light came on the dashboard and a small beep was made. Anton looked down and saw the gas gauge. “Looks like we have to stop for gas.” he said as he turned off the next exit. He checked the signs looking for a hint of where a fill up station for would be. At the bottom of the exit ramp was a large blue sign with different gas stations. He turned towards the direction that the arrow was pointing. There was a strip of about five stations most of which had signs saying empty. As he crept down the road he saw one without a sign and the outline of what seemed to be a car. He stopped the truck and turned around to grab his rifle. He turned the truck off. “Don’t make a sound. We may have hostiles up there.”

“What do you mean hostiles Anton?” Vladimir asked.
“You haven’t dealt with these kinds of people yet?” Anton looked over at him and back at the car.
“No.” Vladimir became uneasy.
“They’re these crazy people who tried to kill me. They were everywhere on the way to California. They thought they could somehow be cured if they drank my blood or something.” Anton placed the barrel of the gun out of the window.
“We need to get out of here. Don’t shoot them!” Vladimir grabbed Anton’s arm.
“Back off. I’m scoping out the place with my scope on the rifle. I won’t shoot until I have to.” Anton shoved Vladimir’s hand off of him.

Anton started to scan the area with his scope. There seemed to be a couple of people that were armed.
“What the hell?” Anton said out loud as he watched these people.
“What?” Vladimir said.
He continued to watch them. “They have a body with them. A dead body.” Anton grabbed the clips of ammo out of the center consol. He opened the door of the truck. “Vlad drive down there. Slowly. Everyone else get your weapons ready. I’ll go cover you from a different spot. Check these people out and try to get some gas.” Anton started to walk.
“How many are there?” Vladimir asked before starting the truck again.
“Three.” Anton sprinted over to a rock not far from the gas station.

Vladimir R.
Vladimir was extremely nervous. He didn’t know what to expect let alone if he could kill someone. He hadn’t dealt with anything like this. He read articles online about different situations but none of this kind. “He knows what he’s doing. Just follow the directions.” Vladimir said nervously as he started the truck and began to creep down there. The people must not have heard them yet since they hadn’t turned around. As he got closer he could see Anton placing his rifle on the edge of a rock to steady it. You better have amazing aim like everyone says you do. he said quietly as the station and car became bigger as they neared it. He saw that none of the people had guns, which didn’t surprise him since guns were hard to come by, but he did see the large axes and pipes that they had. Vladimir’s heart began to pump and he began to sweat more as he stopped about thirty yards in front of them. “Everyone get ready.” he said as he started to open the door.

Trixie glared at Lyra when she mentioned that she had made the correct decision. She really wished that they hadn't picked the girl up. She didn't like rude people, and Lyra was one of those people. She took a deep breath, deciding to ignore her as she stayed silent, waiting until someone other than Lyra spoke to her. When the truck stopped and Anton mentioned they needed gas, she jumped up, instantly ready to go. She was ready to get out of the car, but she heard what kind of humans were out there and she narrowed her eyes, not frightened, but unsure. Before Anton even told them to be ready and have their weapons, she had already pulled her gun out, her fingers curling around the door handle, ready to open it. She waited until she heard Vladimir open his own door, and she instantly pulled the door open, jumping out, her eyes watchful. She could see their weapons, and knew her gun could be much faster, and she could make an approach from feet away. She saw that Anton had perched his gun up against a rock, and she smirked, making her way over to him. She didn't care what others had to think, she could take care of herself. She went up behind Anton and crouched beside him, her pistol ready in her hand as she stayed silent. She didn't want to make noise, and cause them to see everyone. Her blue eyes were live with excitement as she perched there beside Anton, seeing that the three humans hadn't noticed them yet.

Xavier smirked when Lyra told Trixie she had made the correct choice. He frowned when she mentioned sacrificing herself for others. She had quite a mouth, but she seemed to care for others easily. He heard her question and was quite confused on who she was speaking to. After a few seconds he realized she was talking to him for the first time, because he was the only on directly behind her in the truck, a few feet away. His face flushed bright red, and he turned a bit away from her, his eyes downcast. "I..I wasn't," He lied, but winced. She was smart, he could give her that. He averted his eyes everywhere from her and took a sharp breath, more than embarrassed. "Sorry," He mumbled quietly, so she could hear him. He heard Anton's question, and could tell he was more than irritated with Trixie. He shook his head, indicating a no. He felt slightly bad for Trixie, but continued to stay silent. He sighed when Anton mentioned they had to stop for gas. He was more than surprised to see a car parked at one of the gas stations. It was weird to think there were more humans in front of them, and Xavier quickly grew excited. He had a puzzled expression take over his face once Anton mentioned that there could have been hostiles. He was about to ask what that meant, but Vladimir did it for him, and he listened. He felt uncomfortable at the answer, and he suddenly wanted to stay in the truck. His eyes widened as he watched Vladimir and Anton fight over staying or going. He winced when Anton mentioned a dead body. Vladimir's reactions and what he said matched exactly what Xavier was thinking. Without hesitation, he pulled out his knife when Anton said to, not bothering with the glass bottle. The knife would work well enough on humans, anyway. If they even were humans. He didn't like the idea of getting gas here, but he figured they could out power them, if it was three to six of them anyway. He was suddenly glad Trixie decided to stay, as he eyed her gun and dagger. They were good weapons, and he had a feeling she was a good fighter. Xavier listened to Vladimir, but could tell he was more than nervous. He felt the truck jerk forward, the engine a little quieter, and they were going quite slow. He was glad when he stood up carefully and saw that the people hadn't seen them yet. He watched Vladimir open the door, and he ran a hand through his dark hair. "Please don't get us killed," He muttered cautiously, feeling perspiration appear on his forward because of his fearfulness. He raised his knife a bit from it's low position, and walked towards the front of the truck, careful not to make a sound. His eyes darted to and fro, praying that Anton didn't get caught.

Amai Macintyre & Lyra Lancaster

Amai sat up straight happily and was satisfied that a fight had been avoided. It was apparent that Trixie didn't like Lyra though, which made Amai slightly sad. If they only knew Lyra, then they'd know that that was just how she was: closed off. It was hard enough for her to get Lyra to open up about anything, and she had found out early on that Lyra said whatever came to her head. She sighed and listened as Anton said something about hostiles and to get out their weapons. She held the pole tighter and decided to leave the cutting and stabbing up to Xavier, who already had his knife out. She wanted to speak up and try reasoning with these people; they were still human after all. She knew that no one else would go for that idea though, so she just sat wand watched through the windshield as they crept closer to the gas station.

Lyra could feel that the Trixie girl didn't like her; the hate she felt was swirling in the air like a cloud. However, Lyra couldn't have cared if she tried, it just wasn't in her nature to worry about things she deemed as being petty. At a young age she had been taught to only care or worry about significant things; things that were life changing. Things like a zombocalypse. In fact, the only person she remotely felt close to was Amai, as she didn't really know everyone else. But Amai had to work for that friendship status, and Lyra wasn't just going to trust anyone because they were human or 'looked nice enough'. In other words, Trixie could hate her all she wanted. She listened to Anton as he spoke, although she had a blank expression on her face. She didn't even bother responding back to Xavier; he looked sort of jumpy anyway. She grabbed her bat and held it firmly in her hand, waiting until they reached the group and the gas.

Anton R.
Anton looked beside him as the girl ran up to him. He looked back into his scope as he continued to watch the hostiles. After seeing everything that there was to see he shouted a command to them.
“Put your weapons down!” he yelled as he looked over. He motioned to Trixie and everyone else to remain silent and still. “Put down your weapons!” he yelled again.
The three people started to look around. They drew there weapons ready as they shouted back, “No! Who are you to tell us what to do.” they shouted back. The three of them began to walk around and look for where the voice was coming from.
”I don’t have time for this crap.” Anton mumbled as he readied the cartridge in his rifle. He pulled back the level and allowed it to snap back in place. “You have one more chance to lower you weapons!” Anton yelled. He waited a few minutes but the hostiles weren’t responding. ”Screw this.”Anton said out loud before firing.

The sound of his rifle echoed as one of the people dropped to the ground. The other ones ran over to their fallen friend and Anton opened fired again. Crack! Crack! was all that was heard as Anton let out two more shots, both of them hitting their target respectively in the head. “Just like hunting.” Anton said to himself as he stepped from the side of the rock with a big grin on his face. He walked back over to the truck this time with a smaller grin on his face. “Everyone get in.” he said as he climbed into the driver side door and starting the truck.

Vladimir R.
”What the hell Anton! We could’ve negotiated!” Vladimir yelled at his cousin.
”I tried. They didn’t listen. I’m not risking my life so that I can sweet talk some crazies!"Anton snapped back at Vladimir. “You have a lot to learn Vlad." Anton closed the door of his truck. Vladimir sat in the seat in shock. He couldn’t believe that his cousin could be so heartless. He grew angry at Anton. Vladimir buckled up and closed his door. He knew better than to argue with Anton, but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t express himself inside of his head. He began to mentally shout words at Anton, all of which he wouldn’t say in front of his grandmother, but soon stopped knowing that it wouldn’t solve anything. He looked in the back to see everyone else’s faces and wondered what they thought. He mouthed the words I’m sorry and shrugged his shoulders as he resented picking them up. Anton’s antics were the last thing they needed right now when all of their nerves had been already shot.

Trixie could feel Anton's gaze on her but she ignored him, narrowing her eyes at the hostiles as she watched them carefully. She didn't flinch when Anton screamed at them to put their weapons down. She hoped they would listen, but soon enough it was clear that they were refusing. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Anton motion for them to stay quiet. She gave a short nod but otherwise followed his instructions. It was strange, because she wasn't used to obeying anyone but herself. But she had a feeling by the way he had acted earlier, the guy wasn't someone to be messing with. She grinned when the hostiles shouted back no and began walking around to see where Anton was. They were never going to find them. She glanced over and she could see the truck was parked yards away, trees and things hiding it from view. She turned back and silently waited until Anton mumbled something incoherent, and got ready to shoot. Her smile vanished, and her brain took in what he was going to do quickly. Before the hostiles could respond to his next yell, Anton fired three shots. She was surprised at how good of a shooter he was, and also amazed at where he hit them. Right in the head. She glanced over at him, and frowned when he mentioned hunting. Without asking him, she already knew where he had gotten his skill from. She followed him to the truck and got in fast, putting her pistol back in her belt. She wished that he would have let her fire something, but didn't mention it anymore. She waited until Vladimir was done making a big deal out of it and glanced up at Anton, who was again in the driver's seat. As he started the truck, she said slowly, "You're a pretty good aim. When did you first shoot something?" She asked, partly curious. She continued to stand up, her legs cramping from crouching so long.

Xavier watched in horror as Trixie ran up beside Anton, both of her weapons ready. His eyes widened as Anton yelled to the hostiles, and they said something back. He couldn't hear their voices clearly, but from the distance, he could make out the word no come from their lips. He closed his eyes as he saw Anton give them a last chance, and in just seconds he heard three, loud gunshots. When he opened his eyes again, Anton was getting in the truck, Trixie right after him. Neither of them seemed even fazed by what had happened. What were they, emotionless Aliens? He wondered. He took a deep breath and dared a peek out the window. His eyes took in three figures, pools of blood surrounding all of their heads. They lay motionless on the ground. He felt like throwing up, and came close to doing so. He forced it down though, and went back to his sitting spot, leaning his head against the truck walls. He didn't feel so good. His stomach was churning, and his face was a little green from the effort not to retch. He only killed people if he had to, and usually it was just a stab wound. Nothing like what he had just seen. He listened to Vladimir yell at Anton, and felt a bit better that not everyone was out of their minds. He saw the younger boy turned around and mouth an apology to all of them. Xavier ran a hand through his hair, forcing a fake smile on his face that read, what can you do? But he actually wanted to demand what Anton's problem was. At least it wasn't him.

Amai Macintyre & Lyra Lancaster

Amai had watched as Trixie climbed out of the truck and joined Anton at the spot he was at. The truck had stopped, and she heard Anton yell to the three people that were standing there. They yelled something back, and it was apparent that neither party was fooling around. the only problem was Anton could see them, but they couldn't see him or Trixie. She then heard three shots and the three people were now laying on the ground with their heads mangled. "Did I just whitness a murder?!" she whisper-screamed. Anton and Trixie jumped back in the truck and Amai was greatful that Vlad still had some sense of humanity. She then felt arms around her shoulders, and it was then she noticed she was trembling. She could hear Lyra saying it was okay in her deadpan voice.

Lyra sat, waiting for a sign from Anton or Trixie, who had joined him. She heard the few words Anton and these people had exchanged, and withot warning, three shots were fired. She didn't bother looking to see who was down, she got her answer when Anton and Trixie hopped back in the truck. Vlad drilled Anton about what he'd just done, and Amai and Xavier looked like they would keel over any second. She put her arms around Amai and said 'It's okay' as the truck moved forward. She then reached and grabbed out a water out of Amai's bag. She held it out towards Xavier with one hand. "Drink this. We don't need anyone losing their lunch in here."

Anton R.
Anton looked in the mirror at Trixie. “When I was in the old country. Maybe seven.” he drove the truck into the parking lot of the gas station. There weren’t any zombies in sight. He figured the hostiles must have taken care of them. He stopped in front of the pump and put the let handle in the gas hole in the truck. He put the lever so that it would fill up the car without him having to be there. Anton slowly walked over to the men who were laying on the ground and checked them. He took all that he needed off their bodies. He placed them in the truck and then stood by it. “Vladimir go check their car. See if it works.” he pointed over to the sedan at the other pump. Anton didn’t say anything to the others but concentrated on what he had to do.

Vladimir R.
Vladimir walked over to the car and checked it. The people still had food and various medical supplies still in it. The tank was full of gas and he checked the engine. It started right up. “Works like a charm.” Vladimir said with a large smile on his face. He went into the building checking every nook and cranny to make sure they didn’t leave anything. He loaded the truck up with various things and got inside looking for another map so the others could have one. He figured they would take the car and leave Anton and himself together. After his antics no one would probably want to be around Anton anyhow.

Trixie glanced at Amai and Xavier, who both seemed ready to lose it. She rolled her eyes. She hated when people made a big deal out of killing someone. She was used to it, and wasn't even fazed by it anymore when it happened. Trixie glanced up at Anton as he answered her question, and she nodded, intrigued by this. That was around the age she had started shooting, maybe a bit earlier. She waited as they stopped at a gas pump and filled up the truck, watching to make sure no one sneak up on either one of them. When no one did, and Vladimir began loading up the other car, Trixie ached to get out once more. "So which car are we taking?" She asked, not caring who answered. She opened the car doors so they could hear her better, not that it was needed; she had a naturally loud voice. "I'm hoping it's the nice, pretty one over there." She smirked, pointing back at the Sedan which was parked right in front of the hostiles. She waited, seeing Anton and Vladimir getting ready for god-knows-what.

Xavier heard Amai freaking out and he glanced over at her, opening his eyes. She seemed to be the only one other than him to be freaking out over the murders. He smiled reassuringly at Amai and watched as Lyra tried to make her feel better. He was surprised when she handed a water over to him and told him to drink it. He blushed at her comment about not needing anyone to lose their lunch, and he gladly took it with a word of thanks. He opened the bottle and slowly drank it. The more he drank the better he felt, and soon his face turned to a normal color and his stomach stopped twisting. He glanced around, hearing Anton fill up the truck's gas tank. He also heard him tell Vladimir to go check the hostile's car. He took a deep breath. No way was he getting in somebody's car that had died. Just the thought made him nervous again and he drank another couple sips of water before he became sick once more. Trixie didn't seem to have a problem with it though, as he watched her open the trucks back doors and say she hoped they could go in the other car.

Amai Macintyre & Lyra Lancaster

Amai smiled at Lyra; she had actually calmed her down. Slightly anyway. When Lyra pulled her arms away, Amai sighed. She watched Lyra get out of the truck and walk in Vladimir's direction. She turned away and looked at Xavier. She patted his head, sort like a small child would do to her older brother. She smiled; if he and Lyra did actually hit it off, it would kind of be like that. "See, she's okay." One thing she knew for sure, she wanted to stay in this truck.

*****

Lyra removed her arms from around Amai and gave Xavier a smile, if you could even call it that. She opened her door and stepped out of the truck, heading in Vlad's direction. She inspected the truck quickly and then looked at Vladimir. "So, are you gonna drive this thing?"

Anton R.
Anton smirked when they began to inspect the other car. “There’s no chance in hell they’re riding with me. Especially if they can’t defend themselves.” he said to himself as he finished pumping the gas. He went to his truck and inspected his supplies. He saw that he was okay on everything that he needed. He was running short on a few things that were unnecessary so he just shrugged his shoulders. There was no use trying to gather them. Plus it would just add unnecessary weight to the truck. He closed everything up and went over to the car that Vladimir was inspecting. There was a full tank of gas and previous supplies from the hostiles. “Yeah Vlad? Are you driving this?” he asked him as he grabbed the dead body from the truck and threw it on the ground. It was a small child that the hostiles must have thought was one of them. He didn’t care about respect and just threw it to the pavement as if it were a piece of trash. “Get ready to go. We’re on a tight schedule. Plus it’s going to get dark soon.” Anton said as he walked back to his truck.

Vladimir R.
”I guess I could drive.” Vladimir said as he looked at the two of them. He watched Anton throw the small child to the ground. He thought his cousin was a heartless b*****d. “After all I do know the way.” he said. He inspected everything and went to Anton’s truck to grab his stuff. He also had supplies for everyone and food also. He put it in the back seat and made sure there was still room for people. He looked at Lyra. “Wanna ride with me?” he asked as he shut the back door.
