"Yes, change here! Where else will you change! We won't peek!"
Sasha hummed softly as she smiled, bending at the waist to trail her fingers through the water.
"I.. I think I know of her, but I don't like.. I don't know-know her?" Sasha glanced at Rin, brows lifting as she straightened.
"What happened, Jerry?"

"She says... her weapon hates her and wants her to die. Like... I mean. I don't think she was being sensitive and er... exaggerating. I mean literally. She made it sound like... like honest to goodness, the weapon bonded with her by accident and is bitter about it. Is that even possible?"
He shimmied, he shifted, he did the ol' camp change, and when he pulled the towel away, he was in his swim trunks and undershirt, his jump suit and other clothed set to the side as he stared down at his skinny pale legs.
Harrison was right, though, he mused as he rubbed his arm a bit self consciously, He had certainly put on a bit more muscle over the past year.
"A-any way, she... she made me nervous. She's in my division too. I thought Rep was a live wire, but.... she admitted to being an arsonist. In front of me! And a SCHOOL on top of it! And she denied being recruited. She made it sound like... like she was kidnapped or tricked here. It all sounds ridiculous unless she really is that stupid..." He blushed at the sudden name-calling. But... well. He couldn't wrap his brain around it.
With a sigh, he put his arms out, "How do I look?"

Rin blinked shooting Sasha a bewildered stare since Jerry was... uh... busy, "I don't think any of that is possible. Our very first introduction after waking up - The Dr. pretty much reminded us that we ALL chose this, more than once. Which is very true. I was offered many outs along the way. Why would they waste time and resources on someone who doesn't want to be here?"
She shrugged at Sasha, surely Sasha got the same lecture just at a different time from herself.
She snorted, "Maybe it's her own thoughts telling herself she wants her to die. If so, I hate to sound like a b***h but there's no room in this place for suicidal hunters. She'd only get the rest of us killed in the process."
I know you wouldn't, calm down.
She finally turned at Jerry's question to eye him over, "You look nice. Do you like it? I tried to include sun colours and orange."

"That sounds absurd. She must just be having a bad day. Did you give her a hug? Or some cookies? That's what I would have done. A hug and some cookies." The bracelet jingled as she moved her hands, speaking emphatically through gestures.
"Maybe her weapon was having a bad day, too. We should just. Sing her a song or something! Or maybe make her a sandwich. You should have brought her along, Jerry! I'm sure a swim would have helped. The sun is so nice and warm, even if the water is a bit on the chilly side. It's invigorating!"
Sasha hummed briefly as she turned to face Jerry. Her eyes widened, a huge smile gleaming toothily. "You look handsome! We forgot sunscreen!" A pause. "Not like it matters for you, Jerry. You just turn brown." She clapped her hands. The slow realization that she was the only one still dressed crossed her mind, but it was dismissed for now.
The diamond on the bracelet caught the sun, glittering in a rainbow of crystalline color. "Lets not get all worrisome and sad over Ofie. Should I text her and invite her along?"

"M-maybe," Jerry shifted, looking thoughtful. "Somehow I don't think-" He hesitated as suddenly Sasha announced he should have invited her.
His face went red. He probably should have but... "She... I don't know. I don't feel... comfortable around her. I mean, I understand ah... mental er... I mean... what it's like to... I mean... oddities er... but... I mean. I never set fire to a building just because I didn't like it, and if I had, I wouldn't have just... announced it proudly and casually like she did." He frowned, "Either she's making it up for attention, I suppose, or... or the facility let a liability slip through the recruiting process. She makes me nervous," He bit his lip, rubbing his leg again nervously. There was no swelling, the knee looked just fine, and it was feeling better. He had been trying to be nice to it. He was wary to go without the cane but... maybe a bit of water therapy would help.
"You... think I look handsome?" He smiled weakly, limping his way towards the water's edge where the sand was a bit firmer and it was easier to stand. He picked at his sweat-stained and grayed undershirt. He really could do with a new one. "We didn't go to the beach very often. Sometimes we'd go to the Jersey Shore but... it wasn't nearly as beautiful as this. Gram had a house she rented in Avalon, but she mostly liked sitting on the porch and going to the restaurants, and that... that was a long time ago. Before Grandpa got sick."

Rin frowned at Sasha, "I don't think so. From what I heard she's super demanding and thinks she's a lead. I'd rather not deal with it on such a lovely day in all honesty."
She realized that sounded a bit mean, "I mean, on the off-chance it's true. Perhaps another time, okay Sasha?"
I'd rather not deal with even more crazy right now.
She finally got up to wave Jerry towards the water encouragingly, "You do look handsome, are you just going to wade or try to swim?"

Sasha gave a thoughtful hum as she inched the skirt of her dress up and took a few more daring steps forward into the frothing surf.
"Well, I suppose you two know her better than I do, probably, but I don't think anyone can really be that bad, right?" Sasha reached down and picked at a drifting piece of seaweed that had brushed against her leg. She shot a glance at Jerry, straightening with a broad grin.
"And of course you look handsome. If you go swimming, I guess I will too. I don't want to be the odd one out! We're here to have fun, so lets just... focus on that instead. Who knows how long the sun will last. I want to enjoy it while it's here."
She paused.
"This sand is so, so soft, oh my goodness. This beach is probably the best beach ever!"

Jerry tried a toe into the water, relaxing slightly at Sasha's mirth. It was fantastic, seeing her in such bright spirits. He wanted it to last. "I d-don't know how deep we want to go, there's you know... rip tides and er... things off the coast. I er... almost drowned that one time-"

"Don't worry Jerry. Never past what you can reach with your good leg, m'kay?" she raised her brows idly at him but the moment she was fairly certain Sasha wasn't looking because of seaweed she shot him a very very wide-eyed worried look and tried to repeatedly tilt her head in Sasha's direction before her attention returned.
Rin was smiles again, "So want to swim?"

"Well. I guess I'll swim a little." Sasha waded out of the water and made her way back to the blankets. She unfastened the bracelet quickly, holding it carefully in her hand while she hesitated for a brief moment. Goodness, there was no reason to be so embarrassed, really. It was a swimsuit, and it covered everything just where it should be.
"We won't go out far enough to drown. I'll probably just sit in the surf. The waves are amazing when they break over you, don't you think?"
Well. A short throat-clearing. Now or never. The dress was swooped over her head, set aside, the bracelet carefully tucked within her jacket pocket - and a mad dash was executed as she skid into the briny sea.

"Yeah it's really-" Jerry's voice trailed off, his cheeks flushing as he watched her pull the dress off over her head, lips pursed at the sight of those long slender legs. She ran as though in slow motion, her braid dancing behind her as he felt the sand suck his feet down into the damp earth...
And then she collided with the sand and water in a spray that he couldn't un-stick his feet from quick enough, falling backwards onto his rear with a startled yelp and a flash of pain from his knee.

Rin frowned at totally distracted Jerry. What an a**! She grumbled at him until she too noticed Sasha.. buh... buh... nice. Rin melted into a big doopy smile.
"Y-yes Sasha, that's n-nice." she grinned wildly as Sasha plowed right past Jerry to join her in the water.

Sasha let out a shriek as she hit the water, the sound turning to a laugh as she bobbed in the surf. Spiked lashes fluttered as she drank in the sight of Jerry sitting in the sand, her mouth forming a slight 'o' as she assessed the collateral damage of her childish antics.
"Sorry, Jerry. Are you.. ah.. are you okay?"
Suddenly this seemed like a terrible idea, and the bright expression that had been prominent on her face dulled just the slightest.

He laughed outright, and as a wave crashed over him, he gave a sudden splash in her direction, "Surprised me is all! Ahahah, well I guess I'm wet now!" He gathered himself up carefully before gritting his teeth and letting the icy water crash against his pale hairy legs. It only took a couple waves and a couple steps before he was up to his knees and shivering, "I... I h-h-heard it's... it's b-better to get ALL w-wet than... than only p-partially..."

Rin sat back down in the water, "Get in already, you!" she splashed in Jerry's direction.
Well, this was certainly fun already. She was almost immediately relaxed by the sound of their laughter.
Ah, surrounded by friends. It doesn't get much better than- !!! "You guys wanna play marco polo?"
