"You mean aside from the water?" Vel teased, "I wasn't planning on taking any. I was trying to see what to do about the chalice. Once I picked up some stuff it just... felt like a real good idea. I wanted to take more."

There was also the pendant that she had snatched from d**k when he offered it.

"I know I'm not the only one to take some."

"You wanted to take more because the treasure was cursed!" Arel interjected, standing up to prove his point a little too vehemently. He quickly sat back down, frowning. "No, there was definitely something in the water, I could hear it too before-" he coughed, glancing quickly at Cricket, almost nervously. -"I don't think what's under the cave is right you know. It's almost like it was too easy, like someone was leading us into a trap or something. What are the chances that we just happened to discover whatever was down there?"

"If it was meant to be locked up, whoever left a trail of blood would have taken the key with them," Red pointed out, agreeing with Taru, "So considering they practically painted giant pastel glittering signs at the damn thing, someone wants us to find it. I want to know who, why, and how we can the best way to kick their a**. There's no way in hell I'll wear a collar and allow myself to be dragged around on a leash. Not now, not ever while there's still breath in my body." The werewolf swore, the fur on her tail and ears bristling.

She turned her attention to Vel, scorning the undead openly. "Right, right. I suppose the Screamers are organizing themselves on a cute private forum where they can post messages to coordinate a grand treasure hunt in order to loot the place before we get there." Red snorted, waving a hand dismissively. "As if they could even let their own egos shrink enough to consider working together! They're too busy posturing and acting like badasses to do anything."

"And Deth?" Red brought her hands up and clasped them, her voice rising in pitch. "Save the minipets! Save the humans! Scare to care! Oh no!" Her hands unclasped, raising to her lips in mock-surprise. "What a big scawwy monster and a big cweepy lake! I better go tell an adult!" She shook her head, dropping her hands.

She gave Norvie a cold glare for his contribution. Rejected.

"Cricket will head up the healing unit. I need some volunteers to go with them. If anyone not us approaches them, kick their a**."

"Otherwise break up into teams. Make sure you have a buddy, no soloing. Teams should be two to four or more people. Stick with your team, work as a team, and no I'm not going to assign you partners or crap because I don't give a Jack. Each of you should know who you work best with at this point."

"I'll say it right now: I don't like the treasure. Arel, is there someplace we can stash it?" She returned the shocked expressions with a flat glare of her own. "We don't know what the hell that stuff is, and I'd like to be rid of it as soon as possible. If we sell it, Defenders takes a 20% cut to cover our bills and expenses, rest is your own. If you keep your treasure, fine. I don't care."

Red crossed her arms and leaned back against the table, drumming her gloved fingers against her arms. "The sooner we're ready to go, the better. Move out in groups, again, don't try to be a goddamn hero and go alone. Everyone has a RamblingShambling, right?" She paused, reaching behind her to hold up and wiggling a walkie-talkie in their direction. "Radio in for backup if you need it. I'm going to stay here in case any late people show up. For now..."

The werewolf looked at the clock. "The festival is going to start later today. We can either go check out the lake now, or partake in the festival while we can then go to the lake, or everyone goes to the festival then slips off to the lake. Or go back to your dorms and sleep. Some of you look like something the Easter Bunny dragged around and hid for a week."

Cricket passed a passive look to Arel that said 'I have no idea what you're talking about' when he looked to her, before smiling ominously. Oh, he was just so cute sometimes.

"If you're going to be with me, we're going to take about twenty minutes to make sure people have a first aid kit with 'em with bandages and the like too, just to be safe." Sometimes the mundane just worked quicker and more effectively then taking ten minutes to unwind pain did. "I recommend those who have to, sleep. Those who don't have to should go check out the festival for the sake of appearances and keeping us on a mostly similar time slot.

Then in a couple of hours after naptime is up we can head to the lake.

It'll give us time to see what DETH and SCREAM are up to." she added.

Cricket wasn't always a strategist, but when it came to supporting Red, she always was able to pipe up with something. "Besides, I have some drapes I still need to go rip off of a wall."

d**k wasn't going to mention he had a handful of the treasure too. Was he going to keep it? Probably not. He'd have to remember to give Red her 20% or something. However, it seemed even Red didn't approve of the treasure being out and about, so it was the wiser decision or something.

Cricket was quick to pipe up her suggestion about what they did next, while d**k found himself kind of looking to Vel before he moved over to put his arm around her shoulder. "So. Need a partner?" he grinned. Yep, he was totally jumping on that, after all.

Even if she'd been telling him 'No' for months andmonths. Give up?

Never. She'd eventually say yes, wouldn't she?

Sides, this was the important thing to consider while the plan of action was decided on.

(Entering late)

Radoch was late to the meeting - again. He'd gone to stash his sword away, as well as dry off. Wet Musimon wasn't a pleasant smell - not that it mattered by the time he got to the meeting. The place already reeked, something that Radoch was completely used to. He almost felt bad for the gnomes who would be cleaning up; but then he remembered that they were gnomes.

He came in on the tail end of the discussion, hearing something about a healing squad. He couldn't heal worth crap, but he could hit stuff - he hist stuff good.

"I'll be healer backup, if that's fine with you." He cracked his knuckles, grinning confidently. He loved himself a good raid.

((entering late as well like a boss))

Quin had obviously taken her time getting back from the lake and had effectively missed the meeting in its entirety. The only thing she managed to catch was something about partnering up. The vampire was not the timely sort but too bad her sense of smell worked just fine. With more than half the students dripping wet the room was starting to smell a little funky.

"So what's going on?" The vampire asked as she shifted her weight onto one foot and crossed her arms. With a casual flick of her head she managed to push her hair out of her eyes directing her attention to their leader. Maybe they were picking up from their last meeting and had decided on TPing Hellma's office before they graduated. Oh what fun.

Ashly had listened carefully to what everyone had to say between coughs, dark eyes blinking when somebody patted her on the back. Her head turned towards the source of the patting, her hair whipping around her face and probably sending droplets of water towards the paper golem.

Oh. It was Callie! The smoker zombie didn't really know her very well, and only really remembered her as 'the loud mouth at all of the meetings who is always looking for an adventure'. Well, it seemed that for once an adventure was to be found, and it was with little surprise that she could practically hear the excitment in the golem ghouls voice.

While she had nothing else to add to the discussion, she was more then ready to do whatever Red told them to, ever the good little soldier. When the werewolf told them they needed to go in groups, however...

"You." Ashly rasped out, offering the golem ghoul a very unenthusiastic smile. While she might be slightly annoying, Callie did at least seem like the reliable type. And fearless as well, from what Ashly could remember. "Wanna partner up? Maybe find a third or fourth as well?" Safety in numbers and all that.

Moira drooped a tiny bit at Red's mockery of DETH - she had friends in DETH! She'd almost decided to go there herself, but somebody had to protect them, so she'd chosen Red's path instead...

Well.

"Got it, sir Red sir," the headcrab zombie said, saluting again. "Anybody want to - oh, Norvie!" She sidled over and snagged his arm. "You wanna be partners? We did pretty good in the lab that one time, so!"

Because lab partners was exactly the same as mysterious exploration partners. Clearly.

Pyre had chosen more to listen to the conversations around her than contribute. It seemed everyone was doing just dandy on their own, so for now she would honestly listen.

Besides, anything Red was saying she was agreeing with. Not that the Phoenix would readily toss up that bit of information, but it was enough to keep her yap shut for a while.

"Personally i say some of us need to get showers first a foremost." Cause, ew, some of the smells in here were foul. "But i don't think the lake can wait." Using momentum the phoenix leaped to her feet off her her perch. Slinking her way around people she chose a area where she could lean against something, and crossed her arms. "The festival can wait, we have all of our lives ahead of us, i think the lake should be our first priority. Whatever the heck is DOWN there needs to be taken care off immediately."

The raptor glanced away when Red scorned her, letting out a light huff. But, she got over it rather quickly. As for the treasure, she was more than willing to give up 20% of it. Normally she wasn't really the sort to go after these things. But apparently the treasure was 'cursed' as Arel put it.

Teaming up now, hm? That wasn't a problem. In any case, it certainly didn't take d**k long to come wandering on over towards her.

"Think you can keep your claws to yourself little Dicky?" Vel said with a sense of disinterest. It was neither a yes or no just yet though. Thinking about it for a moment, she soon glanced to Quin who had wandered on in late.

"Get ready. We're going back into the lake," she said to her, giving a very very bare version of what was going on.

"For the record I'm all for leaving once we clean ourselves up a bit."
