Rin swiped the creature back, denying it the joy of tearing into Sasha's fear shield. Sasha may not have hit this time but Rin had complete faith in her, taking up a defensive stance again.
She offered the other woman a boisterous chuckle, "Don't worry Sasha, I've got you."
Then a playful wink, "Keep going."

With a snarl, he leapt forward once again, determined he wouldn't fail as miserably as the last phoenix again.
He snorted with dissatisfaction as even as this time he struck the thing, he didn't feel like he hit it hard enough. The headbands had given him a taste of greatness and now everything felt feeble in comparison.
It was a start but it just wasn't good enough.

The thing was definitely looking thinner now as Rep and Sasha tore into it; when they'd moved out of range, Jordan stepped in again, bringing Ferros around and into the thing's head. It burst into scraps of fog and faded away.
He stayed alert, but when the only movement in the fog was the smaller monster snuffling and grunting somewhere off to the side, he relaxed slightly. "I think we got it."
HP: 45/50 (defended for 17 by Cass)

Candace had tried to be quick, but she got distracted by a number of things. Don't ask what they are. They're just things that happened. But she agreed, this place needed to be cleared the ******** out. She wanted walls. She wanted doors. She wanted a real goddamn bed.
And privacy.
She was late but it was better than not arriving at all. First thing she saw? The mob that was constantly stalking her whenever she went to clear a place. Candace groaned. Stupid Bull. She pressed up against a wall and waited for it to start to pass her before giving it a swift kick, but all she did was make it stumble. It snorted, turning and smacking her with a surprisingly sharp foggy horn.
How the hell did this thing always cause so much pain!?

The noise or the Fear seemed to be attracting fog-creatures; a small one snatched at Jordan's leg, sharp little claws piercing his pants at the knee. He took a step back and let Ferros drop onto it. When he lifted the hammer again, the creature was gone.
