He winced, and wished *very hard* he could look away. "My.... sobrietyoath. I'm uh... a recoveringalchoholicahahahaum." He had started to tremble. Better he told ehr than... than someone else did, though, right?
Right?

Too bad he couldn't look away. She gave him a hard, squinty-eyed look.
"So now you're ah. Double recovering."
It wasn't so much a question as it was a comment.
"I .. I mean. Why? Drink? Music is so much... happier, don't you.. don't you think?"

His face had gone red, and he tried to stare off to the side, away from her stern expression, "Th-they're... they're differen-eren-erent... and... and c-can be combined, you know."

Sasha made a huffy sound, deciding that now wasn't the time for pressing. The stutter was back, full force, and she didn't want him to feel like he had to answer. Instead of speaking again, Sasha kept quiet and quickly finished swiping the razor down his throat.
"I think I'm finished." She took the towel and brushed away the remaining lather, smoothing cool palms down his cheeks before she stepped away, satisfied.

He swallowed, adam's apple bobbing as he stared into her face, trying to gauge her reaction. Was she upset? He knew it. She didn't like alcohol. She probably hated him. "Y-you... you don't actually drink the wine when you're wine tasting, though, you just... you know... taste it. And spit it out," He added defensively.
Having given up on the mess of his face, he straightened and reached to touch the unfamiliarity mostly-smooth surface of his cheeks. "It... it feels um. Cleaner? How do I look?"

Sasha gave Jerry a mild look, both brows lifted. She could hear the inflection in his tone and she wasn't interested in pursuing it further. Her papa had been full of excuses, none of which were worth refuting. Sorry for slapping her, sorry for yelling at her, for pulling on her ears, for this that and the other. They weren't worth arguing about simply because she'd always felt that she was at fault for frustrating him. There were times that even the sight of her had seemed to upset him. She wasn't entirely sure why, but.. well.
"Better." She smiled. "Maybe e-even handsome." Sasha paused.
"Jerry, would you mind keeping ah.. keeping a lookout so I can shower?"

His flush remained, even as he wobbled up to his feet, using the bench for support as his leg-brace squeaked. "You... you think I'm ah..."
Don't let it go to your head, bud.
"Ah- R-right! I'll... I'll guard the way, ahahaha. I think... I think we picked a good time. To do this. Everyone tries late at night but then everyone's there, ahahaha..." he scrambled, jumping on his good leg as he struggled to pull his jumpsuit over the brace to make himself decent enough for public.

"I won't be long. I just.. It might take a bit to really wash my ah.. my hair. I appreciate it.."
A long silence pursued as she waited for him to finish getting his jumpsuit on.
The silence was broken as she cleared her throat.

"I'll take Roar to whoever tries to step foot in here, m'lady," He wobbled as he zipped up, lifting his tattered coat to pull it on as well before limping to where he had hidden his guitar for safe keeping. He wasn't fond of leaving it just anywhere in the barracks.

Sasha waited until she was absolutely certain that he was gone, peeking towards the doorway no less than eight times just to put her mind at ease. Once she was satisfied that he wasn't there - and that he wasn't going to let anyone pass - Sasha disrobed and hopped it in the shower.
It was probably the best shower she'd ever taken.
Twenty minutes later, she was fully dressed, pink-cheeked and scoured clean. It was the most amazing sensation, and as she wrapped her hair in towels, she called out to Jerry a quick, surprisingly cheerful, "Finished!"

"Ah, good! F-feeling... more human?" Jerry called in from where he had diligently stood guard, much to a handful of trainee's chagrin.
It was difficult to argue with a crazy looking man with a bazooka, though.

It took seven or eight towels to soak up all the moisture from her hair, even after she'd wrung it out. Next on the to-do list was to find a quiet place so she could brush it out. Well, after it dried. She'd made the mistake one time of brushing her hair while wet. That had been a nightmare.
Slipping her feet into her shoes, Sasha wrapped her hair one last time in a dry towel, tossed all the wet towels in the bin and then made her way out of the bathroom with Jerry's shaving kit in hand.
"Thanks. I feel like. I feel a lot better."
