He listened quietly. He heard her statement. “I don’t mind but be careful.” He kept his ears open straining to listen for Celen’s return. It was very quite. With the storm coming he was a bit worried that she would end up outside and trapped by the weather. He sniffed and crept forward in the den just a bit. He would have to scrunch down if he wanted to get any further out of the den. How long would she be gone?

She gave him a reassuring smile before dashing off into the snow. She was heading for the forest line that was a decent amount of distance away. In the snow you were never really sure how far things where because the snow seemed to go on forever and ever and it was hard to move threw. It was much like a desert but cold and wet instead of hot and dry. She made it to the half way mark and was making good time she was confident that she would make it back before the storm hit.

Seconds ticked by into minutes. Dar waited very patiently for Celen to come back. It was so very quite in her den and it smelled of her strong enough that he could almost imagine Celen right next to him. Shifting to get a bit more comfortable he didn’t realize a feather on his wing had gotten lodged in the wall of the den. It was very small was that was all he knew. Perhaps he really should wait outside and just weather the storm after all. It would be a close sleeping arrangement if he slept in the den at the same time Celen did. Dar didn’t think he would mind but Celen might. He would ask her when she got back.

Celen had made it to the forest and slipped in between the trees. She was walking carefully. Her ears twitched as she listened for her hidden prey. Just when she was about to give up and just dig up herbs she heard it. There was a rabbit or two bellow. She kept closer to the hole and pounced on it making escape impossible. Than she was at it. Digging and clawing at things trying to get to the prey.

She had been gone a long time now at least it felt that way. What if something happened to her. Dar started to worry. He crept out of the den and blinked looking at the too bright snow. It was so different after having been in a dark place. Closing his eyes he started to smell. He could tell a way Celen had gone he opened his eyes and looked at the snow. He wasn’t sure if it was old or new but it was the best he could to. He started off in that direction worried about her. He considered flying but didn’t want to miss her if she was stuck underneath something. There was a storm coming and he wasn’t about to let the nice dog-fox deal with it all alone.

Celen had made a huge mess of the beautiful white snow. It was all tore up with her tracks and the rabbits tracks than to add on top of it she had spilt rabbit blood. Which left red dots in the white blanket. Her muzzle was a darker orange from the blood. She took a couple moments to catch her breath before she went after the second one.

It took him a while but he eventually came across a scene that stopped Dar cold. There was a patch of where the snow was covered in blood and torn asunder. Looking around in a panic he called out. “CELEN!” He would feel so horrible he had not been here in time to help because he had walked. Not really thinking he launched himself up into the air and straight into a branch. Breaking the branch with his momentum he kept going and started to fly while he called out to her. “CELEENNN!”
(Ummm he went 0.0 in my head and then panicked. XD. Poor boy.)

Celen was oblivious to the blue phim yelling for her. She was soulfully focused on the task at hand which was taking down the second rabbit. This rabbit was smarter than its buddy but of course she had the element of surprise with the first one and this one was alert of her. She zinged and zagged after before giving a final pounce taking down the small pain her tail.

Flapping furiously he kept calling out to her. Twigs and leaves came off his wings as he flew. He didn’t know what kind of thing could have hurt Celen but he wanted to find her and hoped she had escaped. “CEEELLLEEEENNN!” He was out of breath quickly but kept trying to call out. Where was she? He didn’t know. He thought he saw movement below and tried to fly toward it.

Celen heard a crashing sound coming closer and closer to her. Than she could hear it. Someone was calling her name. Well more yelling frantically for her. "hello?" She called out loudly. She pushed the rabbit with her foot so that she could keep talking. Finally the voice clicked to her. She knew who was calling for her. "Dar where are you? Whats wrong?"

He heard his name faintly so he dropped out of the sky. He tumbled into a few branches before he saw a burst of orange. Flapping hard he landed short of the other fox. She had a rabbit by her paw and seemed to be unharmed. Taking a deep breath he starred at her so incredibly happy she was alright. He didn’t even know what to say. His eyes teared up and he wanted to hug Celen. "Celen"

Celen watched as the mostly blue phim practically dropped out of the sky and landed in front of her. By looking at his body and eyes she could tell that he was panicked. But what could panic something as big as him?
"What's wrong Dar? Is there a bear?" It was a reasonable question. She had no way of knowing if he had ever dealt with a bear.

A what? Why would he be worried about a bear? Staring at her he was amazed she was so calm. “Y-You were gone a long time and I found blood.” His ears were laying down and he was a bit out of breath. Taking a deep breath he tried to calm down. His heart was pounding through his chest. “I thought, I was worried.” How could he say he worried she was hurt or worse?

Celen tilted her head trying to understand what he was saying. She gave her self a once over and than the area around. They were a mess. "I...uh.. I'm sorry. It's slightly difficult catching to snow hairs in the snow by yourself. You can surprise attack one but the other knows your there." She said with a slight blush from embarrassment.

He hung his head for a moment relived she was alright. “That’s fine I was just worried that you weren’t alright.” He leaned forward and licked her. “I’m glad you’re alright.” He smiled at her. “I know what you mean about hunting. I think it would be hard to catch two rabbits at once unless you were fast enough to catch the runner.”
