"S-STAND BACK!" Jerry shouted, praying no one was in the way as he hauled Roar around, and the weapon gleefully howled forth with sound and light, blasting through the shifting figure as though it were tissue paper.
"Q-quick! Someone... someone finish it!"

Wash just kept his shield up and slightly over his head, trying to absorb the ghostly rain of blows.
Sally continued her eerie silence, but he could hear whispers...were they coming from the other rooms?

Rep had to hand it to Jerry at least. Roar could hit ******** hard when he wanted to. The guy needed to hit s**t more, it'd probably do something for his confidence too. He had to at least live up to Jerry and hit the ******** thing, so as he ran back in it was with intent.
Finally he felt the axe clip the edge of the core of the thing, whatever it was it had that was hittable. He grinned, looking satisfied. It wasn't a massive hit, but it was something.

Jerry called for somebody to get it.
Harrison stopped catching his breath long enough to give it a good stab. There. That should teach it.
"Whose room are we closest to?" he asked. He needed a break. And to not try defending 4 guys at one time.

The creature was flickering in and out now, fuzzing at the edges, jittering like an old TV picture. It drifted forward again, then back, almost indecisive; then it darted in at Jordan, and its claws sliced across his leg. He swung Ferros at the same time, and this time the foggy image shattered as the hammer struck it and passed through.
It didn't reform, and Jordan lowered Ferros after a few minutes of tense waiting. "I think we got it."
Ferros hissed in agitation, the sense of him burning hot. Want to flame, need to flame!
Hold that thought. I'm sure we'll find something for you to burn soon enough. Jordan tugged at his scarf, loosening it absently. The sensation of heat was purely psychological, but it was uncomfortable all the same.

Jerry panted, blinking as he tried to shake his headache, "I... I have no idea. D-does... anyone see my room? I need my glasses. B-badly, ahahahaha..." He didn't desummon Roar, but did lower him under his arm as he limped forward a few steps to put his hand on the wall for support.

The monster faded and Rep could only look on anxiously in case it reformed. Good. It.. didn't seem to right now. "Lets move quickly then, cause we'll be ******** chasing these things off with a ******** stick the longer we stick around. Someone else will have to lead the way though, I don't know the fastest ways around this end of the dorms. Mine is at the arse end of nowhere." He gestured over in the vague direction of his room.
"Just need to keep an eye out, this ******** fog is worst around the dorms I think."

"This one's 110," Harrison said, squinting. "Jerry's over next to me. Jordan, you're around here, aren't you?"

"Mine's 113," Jordan said. "Let's get Jerry's glasses first so he can see. My stuff's not as important. 129, right, Jerry? This way," he offered as he moved down the hall, alert for any out-of-place motion. The distant, barely-audible whispers and giggles in the fog made him nervous.

Wash lowered his shield slowly, and shivered. The whispers were quieter now. This was beyond creepy. He suddenly longed for the shelter of the underground base. He felt like he could almost hear a woman's voice calling... No. He was going crazy in here.
"Get in, get out right? It can't be that hard, I mean...where do you keep your glasses?" He followed obediently after Jordan. Hopefully it was somewhere very close to the door.

"K-keep your eyes peeled," Jerry mumbled, concentrating on counting the door knobs. Right, if that one was 110, then his should be... he stumbled over more debris, and for a moment wondered if he really did want his glasses. "This... this should be me, right?" He finally patted the door, tracing the number with his fingers to double check. Yup. "Right. Um. They... they should just be in my desk..." He braced himself, hefting Roar back up onto his sore shoulder before turning the knob and wincing.
It was dark in the room.
He supposed mass horrible evacuation-inducing attacks did something to the power.
He hovered in the doorway, "It... it should be in my desk drawer. Um. Or... or b-b-b-bedside table..."

Rep wasn't about to wait around any longer than he had to wait, and Jerry's hesitance just irritated him given he himself was starting to get really edgy himself. It was easier to get annoyed at other people being a bit scared than simply dealing with your own lurking terror. The fog did things to the vision and the mind he really didn't want to think too much about.
His own issues with going in didn't at least relate to the dark but the fact it was someone else's room, and he was a bit leery of rummaging through their stuff in any situation.
But what the hell, they needed to get back.
He headed to the desk first to have a look, still pausing to look around occasionally, the horrible feeling anything could jump out at him at any point niggling at him. "Will you get the ******** in here?" he snarled as Jerry seemed to hover, it was making his own paranoia worse and he wanted the backup. "Here's your damn glasses." maybe getting his vision back would be incentive to come in.

Jerry tried to suppress the whine in his throat, "It'sjustalittledarkjustalittledarkIvegottenbetter" He mumbled to himself, lurching his way towards the bunk bed for support, flushing a bit and praying no one would ask questions about it. "Um. Th-thanks..." He managed, reaching out for them gratefully.
Deep breaths.
It was just a little dark. He'd be able to see shortly. "Right. Right. I sh-should... grab a few things um. You guys keep a look out alright?" He managed, trying to keep some sense of leadership about him as he pulled the glasses on and blinked.
There. In the corner. A glimmer of blue light... the mended cracks of his guitar were like a beacon in the shadows, his stomach clenching.
Right.
Setting Roar down on the bottom bunk for a moment, he hefted the instrument up, giving it a long hug like a lost teddy bear that had been found under the bed. He had this. Things would be okay now. Just... keep breathing. He touched the strings, but didn't strum. They didn't need more attention brought to them. Before anyone could protest, he slipped the strap over his head and hung the instrument from his back.
There was a noise outside and he flinched, "Did you guys hear that?"
