"He knows. He didn't outright say it, but I could tell... In summary, he said 'do not anger the Bogeymen', because 'we are not ready'. That we should not 'fight back' where they can see us," Her lips were pressed in a thin line, her expression grim, "That, for as long as Halloween had existed, they had lived by their own code, unsupervised by the Town Hall... That even among law-enforcers, there are good and bad. We need to tread lightly... If they find out about Stacey, we - no, the school - could be in danger of being shut down... Maybe worse."
She forced a chuckle at Shun's words, "Our own side, huh... We really are..." A pause followed, however, as she frowned worryingly, looking from Mitsu, to Xiu, to Shun, and then back to Mitsu again, "Noise? What... Noise?" She couldn't hear anything that might disturb their rest.

It made her all the more nervous being told some of the bogeymen weren't on their side. Good and Bad....they really were against everyone. Given the chance the Hunters would end them, if the visions from Shun and a few others were true the Horseman would do something similar and the bogeymen would no doubt stand idly by while it happened or even aid the enemy party.
When Lizzy turned toward her the whispers had already grown louder, seeing Xiu flinch and look around made her all the more paranoid looking around herself for the source of the whispers. "T-t-the whispers...and murmuring voices..." Mitsu said softly an edge starting to creep into her voice. "It's like someone is there but just out of ear shot. Y-you can tell they are talking but I can't understand them." And right now it was making her edgy wondering if anyone else could hear them.

The thought of Amity being shut down made the ghoul shudder. They had come close--extremely close--last time, and had it not been for Arel's quick thinking, the students would not be here today. The last thing Xiu wanted was for the same threat to fall over their school again, though if the Bogeymen caught wind of what Seeds had done to Stacey...well, then there probably wouldn't even be a chance for them to redeem themselves in that situation. They would fight until the school was shut down for good, and that was that.
Xiu's stomach clenched as she shook her head furiously, trying to will the thought away. Fortunately--fortunately?--both Shun and Mitsu's answers caught her attention, drawing her thoughts away from the school and to her friends. The voices..."W-wait. You two...you two as well?" For some reason, the baku hadn't considered that the whispers could be haunting all of the students who had been on the trip. Slowly, she lifted a hand to clutch at her temple. "I can hardly make out what they're saying, but...but it makes me feel..." Nervous. Paranoid. Scared. The voices made her feel a lot of things, none of them good.

Shun grimaced at what Lizzy had said here.
"It does not surprise me that they would be untrustworthy. I always had trouble doing so with that lot in the first place. But... Should anything happen regarding that I will take full responsibility.. and likely flee the school if I have to," he frowned. He had been the one to do the final act. If it got into the open, he'd deny anyone else had a role in it.
As far as the voices were... it seemed that Xiu was plagued with them as well. Hm.
"Yes.. They try to suggest things at times. Vague things."

"Don't be stupid," She frowned at Shun, placing her hands on her hips; her voice was laced with disapproval at the reaper's plan, and perhaps just a bit of 'SON I AM DISAPPOINT', "You're not doing that. We won't allow you to do that... That is a terrible back-up plan."
She paused, her frown deepening, "Voices...? That's odd... That reminds me of... The island..." She paused briefly, "Do these voices poke at your insecurities? Make you feel sort of... Helpless and alone? Are there hallucinations involved?"

Mitsu nodded to Xiu, it seemed her and Shun weren't the only ones to hear the whispers. It made her wonder how many other students there were that were afflicted with this current ailment.
She might have asked but Shun's words caught her off guard, her heart leaping into her throat as it began to beat furiously. He...would take the full blame? Flee the school? Would he leave her behind? She didn't want him to go, the worry present on her face as her hands came up to clutch at her head. "Nononono, y-y-you can't." Mitsu shook her head frantically the whispers working wonders on her already shot nerves. "Y-you can't just leave. I won't let you take the blame by yourself."
Her fingers began to curl into her hair, her ears falling flat trying to stifle the noise that only grew louder. The answer to Lizzy's question was probably apparent by now. Yes. Yes they fed into her insecurities making her flighty and panicky.

She wasn't sure if she should be relieved to learn that she wasn't the only one hearing these voices, or concerned that the others were being bothered by them as well. On one hand, she knew that she wasn't going crazy now--not exactly, anyways--but on the other hand, did this mean that all the students who attended the last trip were afflicted with this?
The thought made her shudder, but the topic soon swerved in another direction--a direction that was not any brighter than their previous one. If anything, it was even darker. The reaper's words made her freeze, a chill running through her spine as she turned to stare up at him. Her voice was tight with disapproval as she spoke, her arms crossed over her chest, "Who do you think we are, aniki? We would never let you do that." It wasn't his burden to bear--not alone, anyways. They were all, in some part, guilty for what had happened.
At the mention of an island, Xiu perked up, turning to look at Lizzy with inquisitive eyes. "...Yes, the voices do as you say. Lizzy, do you...do you know what these are?"

Shun grimaced as the three girls pretty much pounced on him for that.
"It'd be safer for the rest of you would it not?" he said plainly. If something went down, he figured it would be best to distance himself from the rest of seeds to reduce the chance of them getting found out as well. It made sense to him. Though, he paused as he saw the way Mitsu was reacting to it. Grimacing, he took her into his arms, taking in a deep breath while addressing the other question.
"No hallucinations. But the rest is true," he murmured.

"Terrible back-up plan. Give me... Time to think of a better one," She sighed at Shun, subtly shooting Xiu a wary look before closing her eyes, "Voices, no hallucinations... On the hunter's island is a thick fog, made up of dead Halloween creatures who had no way to reform. They are stuck in that formless manner, unable to return to Halloween, and for some reason, whenever we spend a prolonged period of time in this 'fog', we started to hear whispers. Started to see things that weren't there."
She looked increasingly worried, "In the past, the effects were temporary though... The moment we were out and away from the fog, the effects would fade. The effect must had gotten stronger, somehow! The phoenix, maybe, since that was made up of horsemen...? All a theory, I'm not quite sure why either. Tell me immediately, if it fades. It's important to know if this is temporary!" Or if someone is going to end up as Riley. Or Jericho...

Mitsu fell silent as Shun pulled her into his arms though she was already trembling, eyes brimming with un-shed tears. "Please don't leave me behind." She whispered softly so only he could hear. It was a heartfelt plea. Mitsu didn't want Shun to vanish, not like her brother. If he left she wanted him to take her with him.
The lycan tried to listen the best she could as Lizzy explained what she knew but her thoughts kept wandering back to Shun leaving, abandoning her and the whispers only seemed to tell her it was bound to happen. Why would he stay? He probably felt that he was better on his own. She would only slow him down if he was trying to hide and protect himself from danger.

Xiu was not shy about voicing her displeasure. On the contrary, she was more than happy to glare up at the reaper, fists propped up on her hips. "If our own, personal safety was all that we cared about, we wouldn't have even taken part in that mission." She pointed up, lifting a hand and waving a finger at him. This was definitely not just Shun's burden, and she knew for a fact that none of them would be willing to let him take it on alone.
Lizzy's words, truth be told, frightened her. The baku clutched her hands to her chest, and then to her temples when another whisper flitted through her mind. "If what you say is true, then...then yes, it was probably the phoenix. But as for whether this effect is temporary or not..."
Trailing off, she shook her head. Was it too soon to tell? Not much time had passed since they returned to Amityville--maybe the only reason they were all still hearing these voices was because of that. "I'll let you know if the voices disappear, Lizzy," She promised finally, her voice soft. "And I hope they do. Soon."

There was one soft voice that definitely did not belong to the cloud that seemed to surround them. Looking down at Mitsu, he furrowed his brow as he was barely able to make out what she had uttered to him. Shun wrapped his arms around her more tightly, thinking about this.
"I wont.." he whispered into her ear before turning his attention back to Xiu and Lizzy. To them, he just sighed and shook his head lightly, but didn't push the matter any further. It was easier to give a scapegoat really.
Back to the subject of insanity, it seemed that Lizzy wasn't a stranger to this sort of thing.
"I will let you know as well."
