Ulmuka found himself in front of a statue. it was large, bowing it's head in prayer but with no discernable face. He tiptoed, trying to look into it's clasped hands. He'd never prayed before in his life and so the position was a peculiar one for him. Something glinted there and he found another small token.
While dropping it into his pocket, he wondered if he wasn't offending some god of theres by taking it.
Oh well!
The strix found a seat, enjoying the quiet for a while. Perhaps another student would drop by to talk.

Something in the Temple seems out of place, for those sharp-eyed enough to spot it. One of the faceless statues has something green dangling from her clasped fingertips, barely visible in the flickering candlelight  It appears to be a strange parcel, wrapped in leaves. Perhaps if you jumped high enough, or climbed onto something, you could just reach it. OOC [ Rare item chance! Thackery noticed something in the midst of the statues, and curiously picked it up.Thackery noticed something in the midst of the statues, and curiously began his ascent on the statue to pluck it from where it sat. After an ungraceful landing at the statue's feet, he looked the thing over. It seemed to be some sort of leaf-wrapped parcel? The bundle of leaves falls easily into your hands, and unwraps to reveal a FEAR First Aid Kit. OOC CONGRATULATIONS! The leaves unraveled and fell to the wayside, and Thackery found himself staring down at something familiar - a FEAR First Aid Kit. The last time he'd seen one of these away from Cricket's office...
He frowned down at the kit. Maybe it was just some kind of leftover from another time. Someone probably missed it. He was sure that it didn't have anything to do with the sudden meeting or their inability to get back home.

Unfortunately no parcels came raining down, though a particulary large piece of molten rock did smack the student right on the head.

Eyes wide, Thackery stared at the other student. What just happened. He held the kit over his head like a makeshift umbrella - as if it would do some good against molten rock - and slooowly approached him. "Are...you gonna make it?" he asked incredulously. It didn't appear as if the rock had done too much damage, and he'd much prefer to save his kit for a dire emergency...maybe it wasn't quite as bad as it looked.

"Looks like I got a souvenir too!" Ulmuka seemed to think that was hysterical and began laughing again. He didn't seem very injured. The strix really did intend on keeping the rock and picked it up and put it in his pocket.

Behold! The next statue, similar in all aspects to the previous, held another of those flat stones between its clasped hands. The ghoul daintily plucked it out of its snug spot with two fingers and pocketed it with the rest. For a while, she thought she had been alone in the vast hall of the temple, but that was before she heard a familiar laughter echoing down the hallway.
“Muka,” the ghoul whispered cheekily as she made her way towards the strix and the cerberus, glancing curiously at the rock Muka had pocketed.

It was odd to hear noises, especially since the Four Clans ambassador had mentioned that the portals were locked for their self-important meeting. It was even stranger to see the perpetrators, cloaked figures carrying large flat tablets running back and forth, scurrying even, each of the tablets, tiles, engraved with strange glowing runes.
The figures were just there for a fleeting second: the next second the place was empty again.
Except for a door half-hidden in the wall, one that definitely had not been there before. For some students it was even familiar perhaps, emitting a strange, old Fear, a set of steep stairs descending downwards.
Even more terrifying still were the noises coming from below: people talking. What exactly was going on down there? OOC: EXPLORING THE ??? - Your student can choose to INVESTIGATE. Simply rp your student heading down to see what the ?? noise is about. You can also use your skellyphones (student cell phones) to text other students regarding the noise if you'd like. Once your student is investigating they must stay in this thread. - They cannot investigate and then exit: however, by staying, they may discover something crucially important!

Roch stepped into the temple, looking around blankly for a moment. He saw a few other students--And he recognized the bird guy. That was Edel's pal, right? He headed further inside, wondering what was going on.

There was a loud ringing noise which got the ghoul distracted for a moment and she turned to look at where it came from. From where she stood, she could see a few cloaked figures running about, carrying tablets engraved with strange glowing runes.
.... Were those like the ones she had seen in the Isle of War? Who were those strange people anyway?
“D-Did you see that?” she turned to ask Muka and Thackery, spotting Roch coming from a distance. “Roch! Did you see anything?”

The slimer felt strangely accomplished as he hugged the wall while he watched fleeting figures in his presence. He wondered who they were, he wondered if they saw him, and more importantly, he wondered what they were doing.
El Greco never questioned why the portal was closed. He missed home. Instead, he went to the one Isle he didn't want to go to, the Isle of Death. He found what he expected. He found surprisingly was impressed with the temple. But he still hadn't found what he was looking for. He wasn't sure what it was.
Even with a keen eye, the ghost was surprised he didn't see the door hidden in the wall. He was sure it was never there. He had been scrutinizing everything about the place. He knew that it just had to be been made. The closer he got to it, the colder he felt.
He felt the same drowning feeling. It was best described as a noise. But right now, it was just a familiar hum. He moved through the doorway, and heard other things.
He heard talking. The slimer stopped. Fear struck him. Fear of death. Fear of dissipation. He came to this island to face the fear of death, and so, he walked slowly down the steps to investigate.
