She'd been through so much up to now. She was for the most part alone. Her mother had died, she'd nearly been killed, and her children except for one had left her, and she was feeling depressed. She needed...a friend. Someone to talk to to share her troubles. It had been a long time since she'd dared share the secrets in her heart. Maybe it was about time that changed for her...
"Star light, star bright, wishing star that's out tonight..." she trailed off feeling silly doing all this rhyming. "Please hear this humble one's request this dark night." she nudged forward one of the star trinkets from her hair and a pink water lily. "Find me a friend...please..." she whispered. What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A lock of hair from their 'daughter' the first time they made a wish with the wishing star.
Short IC Response: 'Lessie dragged her beloved mate through thick and thin to get here - it was absolutely necessary to get here. They needed to make a wish, and she thought perhaps now that he was back from his travels, making the wish again would help the star. There would be no mess-ups - there would be no ungrateful daughter who ran away from home because she didn't belong. This time...this time they'd be a happy family.
"Please wishing star, I beg you as a friend, grant us this wish of starting our family the right way! Umo needs to be a father to a daughter or son who respects him." The mare laughed, then nudged her mate who stood next to her and trotted away almost as quickly as she game.
But her mate, that grumpy old guy who abandoned his beloved little one while he was in search of someone who could help them conceive, he stayed behind and stared at the wishing star for what could have easily been another hour. "I don't beg. I don't ask for things in my life. So don't do this for me, do this for her. She deserves to be happy and we've tried having children of our own for two years now. I can't help her. The first wish that was granted, although still loved by 'Lessie, broke her heart. That girl was not a part of both of us like she had hoped. Please, just do 'Lessie this favor."

Shaman and Enqueri both looked upon the star with both hope and great love for a possible step towards there future. Bending down Shaman placed an offering of her beaded chopec necklace while Enqueri followed suit by placing one of his crafted weapons. Once that was done they both stood back and prayed that there prayers would be answered. Short IC Response: Enqueri Personality: He is a very serious male, he hardly lets anyone get close to him accept a selected few one of them being Shaman. He is very protective of Shaman and lets others know it. He also has hyperactive senses, all five. He is also very a**l about things, semi-possesive of Shaman, and likes things neat/organized. Somber most of the time though Shaman, his mate, tends to bring out the good in him. He has hyper-active senses that seem to go hay-wire if Shaman isn't around, but he is learning to control them. Shaman Personality: Full of life, smile and the world smiles back type of personality. She would never take advantage of anyone and helps out others without expecting anything in return. She has a down to earth, girl-next-door attitude. She enjoys being in the company of others especially Enqueri. She likes to help Enqueri with his senses if they get to bad to handle. Basically fun loving, inquisitive attitude. Smile and the world smiles back kind of girl. She likes to help those in a tight spot and never thinks of being repayed back. Shaman and Enqueri have been trying to have children for a very long time. Each time with the result of no luck, they only ask the wishing star to help them on their next journey of life. They are ready for more responsibility and welcome the challenge of raising a foal of their own.

A feather from his familiar, Tiger; a small piece of his basket; and a chunk of volcanic obsidian. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative? Auri looks up at the star. A sudden longing welling in his breast, "My mother is dead. My sibling was lost in a raging river before we exited our baskets. I have no family, but I have been searching for so very long. I know my sibling is out there somewhere. And I will keep journeying, looking. I don't know if Pele' lives or died. I only know I am alone in the world. I have wondered . . . who is my father. I have no one to ask. No way to know. I . . . I wish to be guided to my family. To find my connection in this world." He starts to turn away, but stops, pauses and turns back. "Thank you. Even if I never find my family, I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given. For the foster mother who took me in. For Tiger, who remembers my past and could share with me the memory of my mother and my sibling basket. I . . . Thank you."

A star lily, three glittering pebbles, and two feathers her owl Jynoth had given her for her offering. Short IC Response: Ellianthia made her way slowly to the top of a hill, where the sky just seemed to be a little bit closer than before. A gentle breeze ruffled her bangs over her face as she peered up at the wishing star. Her faithful companion nested on her back as he too peered up at the night sky, letting out a soft hoot over its beauty. This made a smile cross Ellia's lips as she took in a deep breath of the crisp night air. Blinking open her soft green eyes, she gazed at the star as if it were an old friend. "Wishing Star.... I've often watched you from the comfort of my home...but this is the first time I've come to ask a favor of you." she began as she glanced down at her offering, nosing each piece gently into place. "I thank you for sending Jynoth to me, he has been a greater friend than I ever could have asked for.....but I miss my brother greatly. I feel in my heart that he is alive and well.... but I wish to see him again." she paused to let out a soft sigh. "If you could, hear my request and send my brother back to me, I would be forever in your debt." She said and dipped her head in respect to the star, blinking at her offering. "I leave this offering for you....and even you can not grant my wish, I hope their beauty finds a way to make even you smile."

A few of his feathers, and strands from his mane, as these are, in his understanding, things he inherited from the father they share, and a mouthful of the fur from his shoulder, which is the closest match he can make to their mother. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
“Well… here I am again…” Cle muttered, shuffling his wings a bit awkwardly as he stared up at the star. Why he kept coming when thus far nothing had happened he wasn’t sure. He was an intelligent stallion after all, he knew not all stories were true. But maybe, just maybe, it was still nice to be… hopeful. “Not much has come of asking about my da… guess it’d work better if I remembered him a little more. So… I thought I’d ask… ma said my sis has wandered off and I’m kind of worried about her. She’s younger than I am… not by much really, but… big brothers worry about their little sisters, you know? A little extra luck in looking out for her would help.”
The wind shuffled his wings again, wincing slightly at the faint tug of soreness. Maybe he really ought to find some kind of healer for that, he’d expected it would’ve gotten better by now. Something must really be wrong with it. And if something was wrong with it, he couldn’t fly, and if he couldn’t fly he probably couldn’t search out his sibling any more than he’d been able to search out his cousin. He was supposed to be the responsible one, but he couldn’t seem to do it right. Luck might seem silly but… maybe it would help. It… really couldn’t hurt, right?
Right. Except the bit where he pulled out a few feathers, that part hurt. Laying the offerings out in a careful little pile, he stared down at them for a long moment before sighing and turning to go. He felt a little ridiculous, to be doing this still. But… it wasn’t like it was going to hurt his chances. A wish surely wouldn’t make things worse!

My Long Lost Family MemberSoquili in search of a relative:  Relation: Younger Sister Race (first choice): Flutter Race (2nd choice): Unicorn What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A broken scale from her tail and a wing from her faithful familiar Dusk. Along with a pale pink tulip that reminds Edel of her lost sister and the fire that snatched her family away from her. And always her thoughts and prayers. Short IC Response: "Such a rare sight you are wishing star." Edel slowly clip-clopped her way up to the later with an offering that she gently placed upon it. There sat a small tulip that reminded her of her old family, the fire that claimed them, and the disappearance of her sister; along with a broken spike from her tail. As Dusk soared above her and saw the placed offering her flew down and added to the pile a soft blue feather.
"To help with you're offering Edel, may you always be comforted by my presence and may the wishing star grant your wish." The owl brushed his wings against the mare's cheek before taking to the air again and leaving his bonded to her thoughts.
"Thank you Dusk." It took Edel some time to recover from the generosity of her familiar, but before long he gaze was turned up toward the sky again and she looked deeply into the light of the wishing star. Her thoughts returned to the day of the fire, when she was half blinded and she lost her family. There was only one small hope left to her than, she hadn't been able to find her sister and in hopes of one day being reunited with her she turned to a life of travel.
But still, her hopes had gone unanswered and her sister was still long gone and becoming just a faded memory in the back of her mind. She had been though so much since than, even raising her own children in the absence of father figures.
"Oh wishing star, tonight I come to you with offerings that come from my own body, along with a generous gift of a friends feather, and a flower that reminds me of my younger years. Of a family I used to have. Wishing star, I wish to find my sister so that she might know that she has family. She has me and now she even has nieces and nephews. I'd love to start anew with my sister Wishing Star. She's the only family I know has to be out there somewhere." With her head held high she stepped away from the alter and continued to star up into the sky, hoping to make a connection with the star and have her wish granted.

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A lock of her glowing rainbow mane and a broken scale from Dante's back. Short IC Response: Aurora had watched the skies each night, for her gaze had always been drawn to the stars even as a young foal. But this night one star rose into the heavens that was much brighter then the rest, and she took much notice of it.
Blinking her eyes, she stood and wandered quietly away from Dante, the mate of her heart, so protective and so childishly stubborn when it came to her, that she felt like a fragile glass sculpture at times... like he was afraid the world or he himself would drop her.
She smiled at the thought and continued her trek through the woods to get a better look at the star that was making it's climb ever higher into the sky. She had been inherently a dreamer since she had emerged from her basket, dreaming of knights and damsels, and wishes coming true. And she had heard whispers of a wishing star that would shine in the dark night sky on occasion and even grant the wishes of Soquili who wished very hard.
And here she was.
As she stopped at the top of a hill, she allowed a sigh to fall from her lips. What to offer?
Then she knew: A piece of herself and a piece of her beloved. Nestled in the cord of her necklace, she pulled out a darkly colored scale, which she gently set upon the ground. It was a dropped scale that she had noticed one day, and whom she knew was Dante's, for he had been particularly grumpy at the time of the scale molting. The next item she set upon the ground was a lock of her hair, which she gently chewed off, cutting it as cleanly as possible. She placed it lovingly beside the scale.
With a heavy heart, she once more looked up at the sky. "Oh wishing star which shines so wonderfully above... please here my prayer. Grant me a family... grant me and my beloved a child which we may love and cherish." Perhaps it had been her imagination, but she thought she saw the star twinkle a little more merrily at her plea... or perhaps it laughed at her. She knew not. But she knew that this night, she would whisper her prayer and hope it would grant her the family she so desperately wanted.

A flower from her hair pinned together with a feather from Al'ar. Short IC Response: The dranged and crazed mare sat still in the night. She had been in one of her schizophrenic fits, running wildly through the woods from the delusional demons she saw in every dark corner of the trees around her. Tired and coming down, she found herself in a clearing; Unusually bright for this time of night. Looking up to the sky above her, she saw a bright star, far more aluring than any of the others. As she gazed upon it, she felt a sense of calm. A treasured and rare feeling to the mare. She lay softly in the grass below her, clinging to the apathetic wave that now grasped her usually frantic and broken mind. A soft breeze began to wave through the trees, and she was reminded of the male she found herself running in to as of late. He was bright, and often trailed around the skies above her. A flyer, she remembered. His name was a detail that slipped through the cracked fragments of her mind, lost forever to the swirling void of static. Small iota's of memory came through as she thought about him. She recalled how they would clash when they met, but always seemed to run in to eachother again. She snorted at the thought and tossed down her treasured fan. As it landed with a small thud in the grass, she stared down upon it. frayed under the weight of the fan, a brightly coloured feather stuck out awkwardly from underneith. She tugged on it and broke it free from the fan. A trinket to remember him by. Not so much to remember the stallion himself, but as to cling to the feeling of remembering anything at all. It hadn't been working to her dismay. She hadn't even recalled she even knew another soquili until now, or that the feather was even there. Somehow this star had brought him rushing back to what was still left of her mind. Plucking a soft white rose from her tail, she clipped the rose to the feather, and lay them out upon the grass. The light from the moon and the star above danced along the delicate white rose and fiercely coloured feather. As she admired it, she wished. Wished for something to remember him by.... No... For something to remember...

Who is Wishing?: Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: A pair of empty white eyes peered up at the sky, accompanied by a wide grin. "I don't need a friend as such. What I would like is an ally. One who is equal to me in both strength and mind." He smirked. "My family, at least the ones that I'm aware of, simply don't understand me. " What a beautiful star you are and yet so generous to,but im not here to talk about you.Wishing star I am but a simple pony who has not many friends and hardly any one to talk to, I live alone with my familiar who helps me tend to my gardens and put seed out for the birds.We seek another pony who is like us and will become a good friend", she spoke what she needed,but continued to stare up at the star.10 Things I Like: 1. It was a necklace made up of amethyst and sapphires,at the end it had a bright blue topaz dolphin on it that seemed to glow when the sun shined upon it.
"I have had this necklace for a very long time,I have no memories of how I came to obtain it,but it is one of my favorite pieces I have and here I am willing to offer you this fine piece"

The necklace that he wore when he was a colt and a small bit of his own blood. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?Under the cover of darkness the young stallion stepped forward, washed only in the faint light of the stars and crescent moon. He sighed, scuffing his hoof against the ground before lifting his pale blue eyes to the light of the star. A part of him was saying that this was stupid, it would never work. But the other part wanted desperately to know. If any of his family was out there, if any were left...he wanted to know. He couldn't ever remember a family, his only memories as a child were of being alone, and he had lived that way until a strange gypsy mare found him, and brought him on a ship to the new world.
"So..." He began hesitantly, not even completely sure why he was here, or why he even believed the silly legend. But he felt compelled somehow, compelled at least to try. "Wishing star," he began again. "I dont know what you are, if this is real, or will even work...but I do know that the same sky that looks on this land looks on my homeland, and so maybe you can see across the ocean what I cannot. I have never known family, I do not even know if they exist. And yet if they do...I must know who I am. Especially if they are like me..." His small white fangs flashed out in the dark and he ran his tongue over them.
"Please, if you are there I ask for your help."
Stepping forward, he gently pulled something out of his armour and lay it on the ground. A black and red pendent hung on a silver chain, the only thing he had as a child that he knew must be from his family. He had long since outgrown it, and even after getting new armour, he had never been able to part with the necklace, it was the only part of him that was still really connected to his past. But if this wishing star was real, then there was nothing better he could offer. Leaning his head down he opened his mouth, biting down on his leg just enough to pierce the skin and let his blood drip down his hoof and onto the pendent.
"And a part of myself as well. Blood will call to blood. If they truly are my family, maybe this scent will guide them." He said softly, and with that turned and started his way back into the darkness.

Glowing Beads and a piece of bark from Enitan's favorite tree. Short IC Response: Hania Shen had been wandering and wondering what he should wish for. Enitan was very important to him and they both cared for one another deeply, but he knew neither would be able to bear children with one another. It was obvious that it was just something that wasn't going to happen. This didn't bother him to much since he had come to peace with then back when he began to fall for Enitan. Though this didn't mean he wouldn't want something from the both of them. He had been weighing his options of if something like that could happen, but all came to a solid no, but he wasn't going to give up hope. Him and Enitan shared a spiritual bond as well as a deep love for one another. His faith never wavered on anything and he remained firm on his standings.
As he looked up to the sky, his heart felt like it was racing with time and for once he was nervous. He believed that anything could happen despite the science behind it. He never asked for anything, but tonight he was going to make a wish. A wish for something wonderful that he hoped would happen and bring joy to both him and his lovemate's life.
"I wish for a child..I know I'm asking for a lot, but I wish for a child that reflects us both. That is all I want..thank you."
He lowered his head slowly to the ground and placed upon it his offering. A pair of beads he preened off himself and a piece of bark he knew was from Enitan's favorite tree. He wanted a piece of them both there. Something that would connect the two of them together and keep their love as strong as ever. Giving a final gaze up to the sky, he turned away leaving his offering behind and keeping all the hope he had in his heart that his wish would be answered.
