That was a killer whale.
It was large. And hungry. Penguin instinct and human logic agreed that everyone should get out of the water now.
Even getting hit by the whale's flipper hurt.

There was a mad underwater rush for the hole in the ice. Penguins went popping out of the water one by one. Jordan lost track of which of the penguins were wild and which were temporary, but he was pretty sure he was the last hunter out.

Aleister was still sitting on the ice with his fish. Finally getting up the nerve to eat it whole. Despite Pookie yelling at him, he didn't really understand why the voice in his head was yelling.
"Wark?" He was watching all the penguins leave the hole and suddenly a killer whale was looking for them. !!!! "AHHH" He waddled away quickly back to the hunter group.

Water hole! That was neat. Feng waddled up to it and peered into the depths beyond the ice. He could see the dark shapes of other penguins zooming by here and there, which he supposed meant it was safe. He slid in without a second thought and flew through the water much faster than he could have imagined. Screw walking, swimming was the way to go!
Somehow his chain stayed around his neck, but he could feel the drag it caused. Frustrating as it was, there was nothing he could do about it, so he decided to focus on the matter at hand. That matter happened to be silvery fish flitting through the water like delicious little beacons of hope. He swam towards schools that seemed to always swim away from him, and wished he could swim just a little faster.
Just then a shadow passed over head and he stopped abruptly. He little penguin heart stuttered as he looked around wildly for something that wasn't there and he realized he'd gotten quite a ways away from the rest of the penguins. Oh my.

Feng managed to calm down and get his little Fenguin butt moving again. The water felt good, though it should have been freezing. Being short and pudgy apparently had his uses - one being warmth. He opened his beak and blew a few bubbles as he went, and kept his eye on a school of fish.
Their scales flashed silver as they twisted and turned through the blue green water, making them easy to spot. They appeared to be faster than him, however, because no matter how quickly he swam, there felt like no difference in the distance between himself and the school. He squinted his eyes and tilted his head, trying to push himself just a little faster.

It took extra effort for him to finally get to the school. The fish freaked, swimming in frantic patterns that sent light glimmering all through the water. Feng was temporarily distracted, but then a small fish swam unknowingly past his beak and he struck.
It struggled, but he had a firm hold. He had a fish! He had a fish! Mission accomplished. He was a perfect, shining example of a good fenguin. He swam back to the hole with a little swagger, feeling good about himself.
