Zeus growled deeply and dashed forward and tackled the Eeevee. Kiera couldn't see Vesuvius from here but she hoped he was doing his job. The Eevee cutely wagged her tail at Zeus, Tail Whip! "Gotta keep this up! Keep tackling it!" Zeus started to chase her and barking. Eevee zig-zagged all over the grass and then BAM! Zeus got her again and Kiera saw her chance. "Please catch, please catch!" She kissed her PokeBall for good luck and threw it at the Eevee when she looked weakened.

The first time missed. Kiera just tried again and ws even more determined. Bullseye! Eevee got sucked in and Kiera held her breath, and thought, "Please, please!" She peeked one eye when she heard a ding. That was it, she caught Eevee! All her pokemon cheered with her because she had really done it!

Now she had four pokemon and three PokeBalls left. Kiera did a little dance when she thought no one was looking and let out Eevee so she could name her. "Hmm, this one is easy. I said I would name my own Eevee after my favorite planet. So now you're Jupiter!" Kiera pet the soft brown fur and was incredibly happy, but while she was nicknaming she thought of something else. She looked at Zeus and then Hocus. "Ah hah, I got it. Zeus you can be Brutus now. I think that is a better name for you and Hocus can have the name Zeus. Do you like that idea?" All her pokemon nodded. "Good! Lets go find two more pokemon."

Kiera stood up, seeing Nolan and she waved again. "Over here, and yes, I did just see Eeeve. You're my good luck charm, Nolan." To celebrate, Kiera got out a bag of marshmallows and offered some to all the pokemon. And Nolan too of course. "Want to go to Route 3 with me? There's pokemon I want to catch over there."

Kiera giggled at Snivy. It was too cute with Nolan but she didn't want to seem rude so she covered her mouth. Get serious, Kiera, she thought to herself and she coughed before looking away. "Okay follow me! I know the way. It's not that far from my hometown so I know the way around. I'll make sure we don't get lost and you make sure we don't get attacked by something too strong to fight."

Even though Zeus couldn't fight Kiera was very happy she had been lucky enough to catch him just for his Teleport. Now she had three pokemon she was extra super lucky to have. Four because she counted Vesuvius but really six because Brutus and Wispy were the best pokemon a girl could ask for. Kiera frowned when Nolan threw up in the garbage and she put down the Sunkern to go see if he was okay. She sat down next to him and rubbed his back like her mother would do. "Are you feeling alright? I'll go get you a glass of water." Kiera picked up all the Sunkerns again and ran into the PokeCenter. She put them all down on the counter and told Nurse Joy what had happened to them and asked for a glass of water too. She handed the cup to Nolan. "What do you want to do now?"

Kiera gave her pokemon to the nurse too and sat down by Nolan. "Training is the fun part! We could have another battle to make our pokemon stronger. I think I can maybe win now against you but I'm not ready for the gym. What I really need to do is to help Vesy learn how to make his fire." She thought awhile over each of her pokemon. "Zeus needs to learn an attack."

"Catch up once your pokemon are healed? I'm going to swing by the mart first, and then I'll be out by the big tree on the outskirts."
After giving Kiera a small salute Nolan then turned to leave the pokecenter, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his long coat. In truth, he needed some time to himself, and some time to collect his thoughts. Things had been happening too quickly for him, and that was further proved by how radically his pokemon had grown in levels in such a short period of time. The oddest thing? They didn't really look any different to him. Or well, maybe he wasn't looking close enough?

Consulting his pokedex, after Nolan had gotten situated between the knobby roots of his favorite tree, he took down observations in a notebook, writing what he had noticed about his pokemon so far. He gazed thoughtfully as his pokemon played, and Magikarp was beside him, serving as an armrest while Nolan scribbled down his notes.

Looking up from his notebook, Nolan smiled a little at Kiera when she showed up, but he felt awkward writing while she was here since it seemed rude. He quickly put both notebook and pen back into his bag, and then stood and stretched. Dosu, without his prop holding him up, fell over onto his side and blinked with a half-hearted flop.
"Kaaar ..." It was an entirely baleful sound that got Nolan's attention right away.
"Oh, sorry about that, Dosu."

Once Dosu was back in his pokeball, Nolan watched Kiera for a few minutes while she encouraged her pokemon to learn new moves. Nolan knew he should be doing the same with the Flash cubs, but they seemed to be doing just fine on their own. While Valor was playing chase, Nolan already noticed that the Shinx was now conscientiousness of charging up electricity to help him run faster. It was a tad obvious to see, because his fur would spark and glow a little whenever Honor swatted him. But really? Nolan thought everyone needed some time to de-stress and just relax before they all jumped into some hard training again.

Twill, Nolan's Taillow, since he had finally decided on the nickname - she seemed entirely recovered after the center's heal, and she roosted quietly in the branches above. The Shinx were working off some extra energy, and Snivy was catching the late afternoon sun, dozing and bathing her tail in the light. Nincada was no where in sight, yet that wasn't worrying Nolan one bit.

"Kiera, how about a one-on-one battle? I bet that would help your Cyndaquil more than just trying on his own. Him against ... um."
Nolan didn't even really need to choose, because Valor started to rub against his legs, mewing and asking to battle.
"Valor?"
