...Or maybe they did. The tech coughed awkwardly as their intended target turned to look at them in inquiry. Then they turned right back to what they were working on. And offered their arm. The runic tech grimaced at the bandage and slowly peeled it away, slapping the runic one over it. There was a reason he was a runic tech and not a doctor. At least the wound wasn't bleeding or doing anything nasty like that.
And then it happened.
One moment the runic tech was bandaging an arm, the next moment they were holding a squawking penguin. The runic tech did what he did best: panic, and get rid of the evidence.

A little arctic expedition later, in a much better mood - who knew that tentacle smashing was good for the soul? - Justin had sauntered back into the tent, ready to restock on supplies and repot for the next raid boss.

Now, he didn't want to be greedy, but as the Mist trainee didn't see any other volunteers, he tentatively reached for a third one: his other arm was hurting too, really.

these bandages weren't so bad. leon needed more.
MORE BANDAGES. The last one felt like nothing.
depressing, was he already building a resistance to the effects.

Checking runes for cracks was infinitely safer than testing experimental bandages. Much more boring, but safer. Especially considering that Jordan had already seen some bandage-induced weirdness today.
Making himself useful did not have to include being a lab rat.

Unfortunately, being absorbed in the task at hand meant that Jordan didn't see the tech sneaking up behind him with a glint in his eye and a bandage in his hand.
Being suddenly much shorter and trapped in a tangle of clothes was unsettling, to say the least. Jordan flapped his way loose and looked up. He didn't like the expression on the tech's face; it said, quite clearly, not again, with a dash of better hide the evidence for flavor.
Running away was definitely on. Even if running away had considerably more waddling involved than usual.

Leon logic wasn't much different from Penguineon logic. see someone running away from something, you follow suit if you can't fight it.
With a experimental flap of his flippers, fighting and trying to use a chainsaw didn't seem feasible.
being defenseless sucked, but sliding on ice did seem like a plus. but there was another peguin, running away.
So he had to follow on his clumsy flippered feet. pik pik pik pik
"wark wark wark wark waaaaarrrrrrk?" he well, warked out as he followed behind the fellow tuxedoed animal/potential hunter.

Wash moved into the Life Labs tent, attempting to drag Jerry in behind him.
"Look, I know we didn't get too banged up, but we're still standing so we can't go to the Infirmary, and they have bandages here right? How bad could it be?" I mean, wasn't Sasha a Life hunter? And she was so sweet. Like a spoonful of sugar. Besides, no use in wasting their own bandage supply.
He waited for the lab tech to apply his bandage. He waited for something AMAZING to happen but- despite them being advertised as new and improved, it just felt like a regular bandage.
"See man? It weren't nothin'."

"N-no, no no there's... there's something off about their bandages, I'm sure they won't mind if we just go to the infirmary honestly seriously, I should go make sure Sasha's eating right ahhh-" But it was too late, someone had already slapped a bandage onto the protesting Sun intermediate.
Jerry blinked, tensed and prepared for the need for Fish to re-arise.... but... nothing happened. "Oh. Er... " Maybe... it was just that one bandage? He was still pretty banged up, "M-maybe they ah... fixed the kinks?"
