Lerin raised an eyebrow at Tsukiyomi as he lectured her. He did have some valid points and he only raised that tone with her when she did something that worried him, which all good best friends did but she also could see not all of his force was behind that glare and she knew he had enjoyed the little chase as much as she had. She walked over and stopped him from continuing the rant by licking the top of his muzzle before going back to her fish. She looked around and tried to get her bearings again. Luckily they were in a patch of forest she was familiar with, although she wasn’t too sure where to find the berries and nuts. A good place to start would be near the river. The blackberry bushes around here loved to grow close to the water. “Yeah I know the general jist of where we are, the place I’m using as shelter while I’m in the area isn’t too far away. We might have to go there to get the nuts, I have a few stashed up. Berries will take us back to the river, luckily a good distance away from hungry bears this time” she replied.

Tsukiyomi let out another rare smile and shook his head. Luckily Lerin seemed to be slightly on top of things. Well if he could say anything the reunion was hardly dull. Of course it wouldn’t be them if something crazy didn’t happen. “We should probably drop off the fish, and get what ever is closest to your shelter/Den. I would hate for our hard work to go to feeding a hungry critter as our third fish was sacrificed for.” Tsukiyomi pointed out. Lerin made a notion to follow her and he picked up his fish again silently following her back to the cave. Ugh he needed to think of his plan on asking Lerin. He knew, no he hoped she was going to say yes. After all he could see the blushes she sometimes carried and she was his partner. However if there was anything Tsukiyomi had problems with it was understanding the female part of the species. Females where quite tricky he came to learn.

Lerin nodded in agreement and started to lead back towards the cave she was currently using while she was staying in the area. She briefly looked back towards Yomi as they journeyed to her home. She noticed her partner seemed to be deep in though and she briefly wondered what was running through his mind at the moment. She might be the one that understood Yomi out of the six of them but he was still pretty much a mystery to everyone including her. She knew he didn’t really like red meat all that much but one got rather tired of Fish and he definitely didn’t like eating birds since his mom was a phim or something like that. He secretly loved sweet things even if he hated to show it and often pretended he hated the stuff. He also liked just kicking back and relaxing and he loved playing with hair, even if he got teased for being girly. She laughed and resisted the urge to shake her head as it would be kind of awkward as she was carrying a good sized fish.

Yomi looked up from his musing to see that Lerin was slightly shaking with mirth. He wondered slightly what was so funny and asking her by giving a questioning look. She shook it off carefully signifying that it was nothing of great importance. He nodded and dropped the subject. It was good Lerin was rather cheerful; of course she was probably the same as everyone else. Only next to Yomi who was rather quite and serious it made her a lot more out going than everyone else. It was almost a nightmare when they reported to the tribe elder some times as neither one really liked talking too much. Luckily when they started showing they where quite capable the elder got quite used to it and just let them do what they wanted most of the time. He wondered briefly where Helios and Kat had gotten too. He wondered if he would ever run into them again. He wouldn’t even mind running into Elise as he got along with her well enough. He would be absolutely fine if he never saw Micail again but some times he didn’t think that was going to happen.

Lerin could just remember the first time they had been all introduced. Helios had tried to be all friendly asking all sorts of questions which pretty much ended with Tsukiyomi glaring at everyone. Rei and Lerin had instantly become best friends as both had come from a place where girls where looked as second rate modifoxes. Obviously being smart and capable females they so were not going to put up for that for long and had left for better things. Weirdly enough Helios and Tsukiyomi had ended up becoming friends as well after a while and a lot of work on Helios's part. Lerin never did figure out why Helios had put that much effort into it. However it was actually a blessing as Tsukiyomi started opening up towards the others and eventually became best friends with Lerin. Everything was going pretty well until the last two members of their group had joined. Micail was an interesting guy for sure. He loved messing with modifoxes and had a slight air of being better than others giving him an almost bored tone. Tsukiyomi and him instantly clashed, both of them taking on an almost sadistic tone. It was kind of fun to watch them butt heads if you where a safe ways away.

Tsukiyomi noticed they had finally reached the cave and walked inside setting down his fish. He waved a paw in front of Lerin’s face and shook his head when Lerin was startled out of her thoughts. “Thinking of the past?” Tsukiyomi asked. She got a certain look on her face when ever her thoughts drifted towards the group. Lerin nodded in agreement. “hmm I was thinking we would eat the fish here that way we don’t have to worry about thieves and we can talk about things I guess while we get the berries and nuts if we still are pretty hungry” he mused. Probably should have been the plan from the beginning but then again they had been thinking more about the silly escape from the bear. Come to think of it Lerin was right in the sense that it would have been pretty funny to see the look on the bears face when they threw the fish and it looked up to see them gone. Well it shouldn’t be that crestfallen as it now had a pretty good fishing spot.

“Yep just thinking about group dynamics. Do you ever wonder if we’ll see Rei and Helios again. I mean at one point in time I was pretty sure I would never see you again or Micail and Elise for that matter too. Of course when I ran into Micail I started to think about whether or not you guys would show up soon as well. Ugh I miss them all I guess. I mean I know we had to go out and see the world after that much fighting, but we saw each other pretty much every day. Its just weird not to have any news on them.” Lerin stated her voice dropping in sadness. She was suddenly startled out of her thoughts by Yomi nuzzling her cheek. She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder.
“Although I do agree on the eating the fish here, and yeah I wouldn’t mind catching up again. We kind of got interrupted by the thought of food when we first met up” Lerin stated changing the topic back to his earlier statement. After all thinking about her other friends made her wonder how long Tsukiyomi was going to stay around. He never said when he was going to leave after all. Some how that was the most saddest part of all.

Tsukiyomi looked up from beginning to eat his fish to see Lerin had a sad face. He knew she missed Rei as the two where very close friends. Automatically he quickly moved over and nuzzled her cheek offering her an understanding look. Sure he wasn’t as close with Helios as he was with Lerin but the bright complicated young male had been instrumental in him opening up towards other foxes. He remembered often when he was younger and he was expected to be the perfect son, he had to be the perfect role model for his younger brother and he had to learn about everything about leading their clan. He wouldn’t have minded as he wanted to be the best he could for his little brother and he was proud of his clan, but then they just had to push harder and harder and their ideals started shifting to war like and more darker. He had escaped with his brother and dropped his sibling off with a cousin who had left the clan before he had. Then he had been hit with a wanderlust and had traveled around until he met Lerin and the group.

Lerin finished up her fish quietly and turned to look at the male in front of her. “You know you never did say how long you where staying. I take it, it’s just for the day as you pass through?” she asked hesitantly. She couldn’t show that she wanted him to stay even if Yomi probably had a good idea, but knowing when he was going to leave would give her some time for him to walk off exploring for a while. Ugh she was going to end up hating adventuring. Sure everyone had been hit with the bug when the fighting had settled down which was why they weren’t all together. However it kept her from probably seeing rei or Helios again. Since Micail was around it was likely she was going to be able to see Elise pretty soon. She knew Yomi would track her down again so not seeing him ever again had been lifted from her shoulders. However she hadn’t really made all that many friends while she had been out exploring the world. Maybe one but Liani more belonged to another group of friends.

Yomi chuckled briefly to himself earning a confused look from Lerin. Well at least it had brought her out of her sadness for the moment. Why he thought he should think of romantic things was beyond him. Sure Lerin and he would be romantic as the next couple but they where already best friends. Lerin already understood, or so he hoped. “Well I was thinking I would stay as long as you wanted me too. You know I’ve been traveling around and trying to see the world. Only I did and I don’t really have a desire to explore any more. I was talking with a young male the other day who was just starting his journey and I realized I didn’t want to travel around any more.” Tsukiyomi explained shaking his head. “Now lets go get those nuts and berries” he suggested starting towards the entrance of the cave. He stopped at the entrance and turned towards his partner. “You ready to go?” He asked.

Lerin slowly turned around not sure if she wanted to trust her hearing for the moment. She couldn’t have heard right after all Tsukiyomi wasn’t the type to just promise to stay for an extended period of time was he? Yes… yes he was. He was the type to stay with his important people for as long as they needed him and as long as he could physically stay with them. “Well you know Yomi I’d want you to stay a long time. You know after all I am a very greedy friend.” She pointed out. Rei would so chuckle at that and most likely instantly agree the second Lerin wasn’t paying attention. “which would be bad because that would so get in the way of trying to find a mate and have children I can just see me now the crazy aunt Lerin who hangs around and isn’t really our aunt.” Lerin teased although she could have groaned at the slightly bitter tone that escaped.

Hmm berries, it seemed where going to have to wait to be added to the meal for a while. Apparently Tsukiyomi had found his perfect moment. Trust Lerin to create it with out really knowing. Well he would have to thank her at a later date. “Hmm for a while would be fine, I was actually planning for you to say that. I don’t mind staying around Lerin, you know I don’t” he replied quickly maneuvering to in front of the lass. “You know I could kind of see you in that role, but unfortunately that’s not exactly what I wanted my children to be calling you. Actually I was thinking it would more be along the lines of Susanoo being called the crazy uncle that always hung around.” Tsukiyomi pondered cryptically. “I was hoping they would be saying 'Hey mommy' instead you know” well it was out there. He just needed to hear her reaction. He had caught the bitter tone. He just hoped he hadn’t read it wrong and have her tackle him for something she thought was stupid.

Lerin’s breath came out strained for the next few seconds as she stared at him and went over what he had just stated. Yep he definitely had said Mommy. He wanted her to be his mate? Well she had hoped but she still had to be dreaming. “You know I almost thought it was a way of you asking me to be your mate?” Lerin asked tilting her head to the side. After all knowing Tsukiyomi he wasn’t the type to just go up and say something like as a way to say that he just wanted her to have children like Micail had done. No if he was going to mention some one as the mother of his children it was going to be another way of him asking for a mate.
She let out a small smile and wondered if they really thought too different as partners anymore. However she still had to make sure and would hate it just to be her take on things. “you mean it Tsukiyomi, I’m sure there are tons of different girls out there, Sure we were partners but we don’t know that much about each other” she asked.

Girls, they always had to make sure it was what you absolutely wanted, couldn’t they ever believe that you would be the best thing to happen to them ever. Of course Tsukiyomi knew he wasn’t the type to show his joy and jump up and down, he was the type to smile sweetly and show affection when it mattered, to speak up when it truly mattered. “Yep I’m absolutely sure I don’t want any of those other girls. I want the girl I trust my life with. I want the girl I know can handle her self and my butt if I get in over my head. You say we don’t know each other we can sit here and catch up. I’ll even start. My name is Tsukiyomi, it was named after the Japanese god of the moon. I lived in a rather large family however in my immediate family it was my mother Sakura and my Father Kaze. My little brother’s name is Susanoo who I mentioned earlier. Anything else I should say?” he asked tilting his head to the side.

Lerin blinked at the sudden talkativeness of the male and sat down looking at him, taking a good long while of just actually looking at him. He was actually quite serious about this whole thing wasn’t he. It also made her heart happy that she wasn’t some silly girl with a crush on her partner that said partner would never return. He actually saw her right back and thought she would be okay to spend the rest of his life with. They weren’t the type to have flings. Lerin threw too much of her self into liking another person and Yomi didn’t trust or like people easily. It was only way too easy to understand what Tsukiyomi was asking now that she knew how much thought he had actually put in to the whole thing. “ah I was wondering who the Susanoo you mentioned earlier was.”
“Well my turn I guess. I was the middle child out of my siblings. I had one younger sister named Alora. My two older sisters are named Miaki and Tarin. My older brother was named Ciel. Oh and my favorite color is Puple” she looked down at her clothes briefly. “As you can obviously tell”
