Silence, Please...

Meditation was not one of his favored pasttimes. And though sometimes, he found that meditation did calm him down, more often than not, Renshu considered it a waste of time.

In his school, they had to meditate twice a week. And most times, Renshu welcomed the quietness. But for some reason in this classroom, he couldn't find the same measure of peace or calmness. The difference was that the people around him, students from Amityville, seemed incappable of sitting still. Someone always seemed to shift, to move and squirm as if they were small children unable to stay still for more than a few seconds. It reminded him a bit of when his little sister had to go to the bathroom. He let out a sigh and tried to draw his thoughts back in.

Often, when people described meditation as not thinking of anything. But War had said to focus on the environment. Open your mind, clear it of distractions and rules, and find the things that are important. Awareness of the surrounding, of small details, that was important. The smallest thing could turn the tide of a battle. Renshu exhaled. Slowly, the annoying twitch of the person next to him, the odd stentch of the person in front of him and the general annoyance began to fade away.

He felt the wind brush against his bared neck, could hear the leaves far below, the creaking of wood and the ever distant thunk of arrows against targets. What if there was a war here? What if this island was a battlefield, what would he do?

In a forest, it is better to have small plattoons that maximise flexability and speed. But of course they have to be strong too, or else they'd be wiped out and unable to destroy the enemy. Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain. Yes, in a forest setting, fire was a dangerous weapon. Fire could eat an entire forest in a day, fire could smoke out the enemy and sear through flesh and bones. The thought of it sent a shiver down his spine.

No. He was thinking too much. He was focusing on minute details. He was getting too roped into certain situations which may happen, or may not. For all he knew, there would not even be any War now. To consider a battle breaking out in the realm of the Four Clans... It wasn't something with very high probability. Renshu pulled his mind back and sank back into the familar silence. The boy welcomed the calmness back into his mind. In strategy, prediction was important, but in combat, what was important was the present.

When the time was up, he got up and gave War a respectable bow before leaving the classroom.

Silence, Please... ((Undead No Breath)) 1-2-5-2 after ability

A bow. It was beautiful, simple and deadly. She remembered a brief stint in a skirt, but she remembered something more; etheral and purple made of her FEAR somehow reformed by the magical addition of the stone. It had been thrilling if a bit mean to beat Roch up with a weapon made of her FEAR. Like many others her eyes lingered on the weapons she wanted to wield them to have the added power beyond herself.

Instead. They would wait. Meditation? It wasn't alien to Sammy, she had gotten used to it ages ago. She would often retreat to her own mind while laying in bed Siddie sleeping softly beside her. It was comforting and a good way to pass the time at night when she was with Siddie like that.

Still. She wanted that bow like unf.

Well it seemed if she wanted it she would have to meditate. So she moved to take a seat among the other students letting the FEAR that made her eyes simply flicker out. The world going black in a way closing ones eye simply couldn't recreate and let her mind fall into the usual paces...

It wasn't easy though, she might not feel as accurately as others, but she felt an itch. An itch to take a weapon to fight, not to meditate on what to do, but to simply do. It was easier to find peace in a fight for her then outside. It showed very well that she was feeling that as she squirmed side to side earning a quick snap from a stick causing her to straighten up and focus more.

It helped a bit as her mind started to drift away, but it didn't calm. It became more chaotic. She saw the Horsewomen from the spar, calling her a corpse. Normally it would have insulted her, she should find that one again and fight her. How was Siddie doing though? She had been angry with her earlier, not very, but she saw the joke to Shehk and it had offended her. It was another fight in her life she had to worry about, but it wasn't the right fight. That was when it came.

You tie yourself down, you worry, fret, and care. You know how it will end. Every fight leads you one step closer to her fate. You don't want to die, but you will. You seek power and power will destroy you. You can't top me, opress me, I am all that you will become.

Oblivion will be the end of you and I with everything in between.

The voice chilled her to the core, all the doubt, all the fear she felt herself bubbling closer to the surface in a moment of silence. Broken by the sound of fire and a dragons cry. It was Red. The Fire washed over her, around her and she threw her left arm out FEAR blazing trying to protect herself as her skin darkened and her clothes burned. Everything seemed to be slower this time though. Blue lights and sparks twisting inside the flames, Insanity slowly etching it's self along her arm cutting and marking her. Just as quickly as it did, FEAR washed over burning it black. All the memories floated around in her head and for a moment she seemed to calm down to watch it more clearly. She didn't relive the pain just the moment. Every mistake, all of it trying to learn something inside from it. Something at all.

You will die like her.

Her eyes snapped to life again, instantly the black voids filled with purple FEAR as she blinked. Her whole body was frozen it felt like. Was it from being a corpse or the way she sat? Or worse yet; was she just afraid. Very slowly she stood up bowing to their teacher for the day before moving out of the room. She had to get her mind off of this at once.

Silence, Please...

It was pretty amazing what the horsewoman could do with some very basic weapons, and it did intrigue him - training the body rather than their magical abilities? It was something he could somewhat relate to, being a reaper; unlike some monsters or even demons, he lacked natural-born physical strength... He had to train and get used to carrying his familiar around, after all. It wasn't something he took for granted.

As they started on the meditation, he lifted Biskoto off his shoulders and allowed her to coil up next to him. Once she was comfortable, he closed his eyes, relaxing his body and his muscles, trying to even out his breathing; however, although his mind was ready, his body apparently was not. Even as he tried to ignore it, he couldn't. It was consuming his soul, disturbing his peace.

His butt itched like crazy.

As he wiggled slightly, he felt something hard - and painful - smack him on his shoulder; presumably the horsewoman in charge of the class. Somehow, that did the trick and he found himself able to focus once again... Mainly because the power of the itch had been over taken by pain... Which slowly ebbed and gave way to a sort of peace. That was aided by the sounds and smells of the forest surrounding them; this was almost like sleeping, but unlike when he was sleeping, he was actually conscious.

However, perhaps it was because he was conscious, that he begun to feel a little uneasy; this was the Clan of War. His exploration around the area had led him to believe that the Horsemen of War were sadists; among other things, they put spears around the ladder up to observation points, and shot arrows at anyone attempting to reach the top. In a way, they must be masochists too... Perhaps they like being speared or shot at.

This would only mean that there must be some sort of a battle coming up. He didn't need to use his ability of foresight to predict that.

Despite that, as he slowly pushed that worry out of his mind, refocusing his thoughts, he once again found the peace that he had a moment ago. The sounds of the forest melted into the background as his breathing evened and his mind cleared; while he was someone who had never really allowed anything to get to him, and never really found conflict in his life, this was a different sort of peace to the one he usually experienced.

Opening his eyes, he stroke Biskoto affectionately before hoisting her onto his neck; she seemed entirely relaxed as well, which mildly amused him. Looking around for the teacher, he gave her a formal bow before making his way out, careful not to disturb everyone else.

Silence, Please...
((Entering for Day 1!))
The elevator ride up wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. It was crowded and noisy, and, while she wasn't at all afraid of heights like some of the other students were and trusted the strength of the wood and rope completely, the lack of space and the slight shortage of air brought up some particularly unpleasant memories from the Toxic Cave, which Nadia, with little success, tried to battle. It took an embarrassingly large amount of willpower for Nadia not to rush out the door as soon as it opened, like some of the particularly scared students did, and she had to shut her eyes and frown at herself for a few minutes until she could give the War Clan member her full attention.

When she did, it was all she could do not to gasp from awe, her fear swept away by the over-whelming emotions. The warrior was the embodiment of what Nadia wanted to be - strong, self-assured, ever-prepared. The Horsewoman spoke with undeniable authority, and the power of both her words and her skill captured Nadia's gaze so that she was simply unable to look away, like a bird locked into a snake's hypnotic dance. Nadia listened to the instructor intently, her tense face revealing her desire to learn and to advance, as well as her endless admitation. She was, like most everyone else, of course, a little disappointed that they would not get to hold the weapons for a while, but Nadia trusted that this... Warrior knew best, and made herself chase away the disappointment from her mind. Whatever their teacher's method of teaching was, Nadia was sure that it would be very effective, just like the Clan Member's words. When the teacher ordered everyone to space out, Nadia dutifully chose a seat close to the edge, where the wind blew soothingly through her hair, and tried to concentrate.

At first, everything was a distraction. The breathing of a student nearby, the rustle of movement, the slight whisper from across the room... Nadia face started to stiffen into an ever-familiar frown, until she caught herself and calmed her expression, berating herself silently. No, no! This is the opposite of what you're supposed to do! Don't concentrate on the other students! Come on, remember what you did when you had to do your homework at home! The reminder worked. Growing up with 15 smaller siblings with no sense of privacy made you either insane or very good at ignoring things. Nadia shut down her close-range senses and focused instead on the faint sound of the waves that reached the platform. The sound was incredibly calming, and in a few seconds Nadia was completely inside her own mind. She was aware of the environment, of course, and could still hear the student next to her shift his legs to keep them from going to sleep, but it was the awareness of an observer from the outside, as if she was looking at this scene from above, and was not actually in it.

It was a wondrous sense of calmness and detachment, and Nadia felt stronger and more secure than she had in years. The noise and never-ending activity in her own home had truly worn her out, and in those minutes of meditation it felt like she had rejuvenated, as if she had just rested for many months. There were no more fears for her to overcome. The uncertainty and uneasiness she felt about battling and sparring with other students were gone. Even in defeat she would learn many new things, so that maybe next time she would be the one left standing. The fear of being trapped had also vanished - there were no obstacles between her and freedom that couldn't be vanquished with a calm mind and never-ending determination. The glorious feeling of clarity made Nadia feel ready for anything, anytime.

And then, all too soon, the class was over. Nadia couldn't help but sigh with pity and then laugh at herself. Stupid, now you can start training to meditate anywhere! When she stood up she had to shake out her legs a bit, but her mood didn't dampen in the slightest. A content smile played on her lips, an impossible sight just a few hours ago, when Nadia came up to her teacher and bowed respectfully. With only this first lesson, Nadia was deeply moved. As she walked back into the elevator, which now seemed a lot more comfortable, she started considering the best way to start a conversation with other students from her Class. She had a lot of acquaintances to make, after all!

Silence, Please...

Whisper hadn't really ever given any thought to meditation. She always seemed to be on the move, whether it was physically or mentally. She felt strange slowing down, and wasn't exactly sure how to. But she wasn't going to not try because she wasn't sure if it would work. Cybele was their teacher, and she knew best the ways of the War clan. Plus, why would Whisper resist something that could be of great benefit to her?

She took her seat, and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes, taking in the peace around her. Everything was quiet, everyone was still. Only heart beats and slow steady breathing surrounded her. The sounds from the outside slowly crept in, the breeze carrying the smell of leaves and other greenery. It was...nice. She didn't feel so stressed, like she had to do everything at once. The only thing that mattered was this moment. Losing herself inside this peace.

Soon, thoughts started surfacing. They weren't the usual type. They were slow; clear. She had been through a lot the past year. And in in all honesty, she hadn't really dealt with it. She had kept burying it, sweeping it under the rug. Whisper had been so scared to deal with what had been going on, whether it was family or the craziness of school. She never thought things would have gotten so out of hand. She thought she'd be going to school to become better at what ever she wanted to do. To become stronger and to make her parents proud. Never did she think she'd watch her friends die, fall in love, or even die herself. Whisper had always been the one to stand up for what was right, and she hadn't been stepping forward as much as she should have been. The school had begun to change her. She wasn't as shy anymore, and she hadn't been making so many reckless bets. She had been thinking more about her actions then she used to. Maybe she shouldn't be hating the teachers for what has been happening? They always came to the rescue, and maybe they had their own battles to fight. Maybe this was as hard for them as it was for her? Whisper needed to find it deep in herself to be be able to trust again. When she got back, perhaps she would talk to some of them...

She soon heard rustling of the others, and it pulled her out of her peaceful place. She felt so refreshed, and less confused. Even more so, she was less conflicted. It was like a weight had been lifted off of her. This was probably the best thing that could have happened for the ghoul. Whisper definitely had to thank Cybele later on for this new skill. Well...that was until she began to shift her leg and quick, sharp pains shot up her leg. Things couldn't just be perfect for once, couldn't they?

Silence, Please...

Cybele was defiantly a great teacher, to be sure. And the subject she was teaching, well, It was safe to say Poke could hardly sit still, eager that she was to learn. But while the others seemed intent on getting to use the weapons provided, she was more interested in using her own bare hands then using a object. For you could drop a sword, or run out of arrows, but you could always throw more punches.

Well, that was what's he thought, at any rate.

For now though, it seems they would be preparing mentally for the battle instead of physically. It was a bit of a downer, but she knew that it had it's merits. It was like those movies she had seen before, were the people meditated before a battle to gain a higher state of mind so they could fight better. Though it wasn't something she would normally do herself, and she wasn't sure how good she'd be at it.

Oh well, it wouldn't hurt to try.

Finding a spot on the floor, she sat down as instructed, keeping her back straight and slowing down her breathing. Okay, now she had to focus...focus... focus on the plants and trees... and all the green stuff. Think about nothing. Nothing at all...

Soon enough, she let herself relax, listening to the sounds of the jungle around her. She could even hear the sea in the distance, the gentle lapping of the waves reminding her of home. She found it quite odd; for a place that concerned itself with battle, it was very peaceful...

As she continued on, she felt herself become distant with her body, as if she wasn't quite all there. It didn't concern her though; right now she could focus on just about anything she wanted. Anything at all...

"I don't want to!"

"Come on you pathetic excuse for a reptile! I said do it!"

"NO! I SAID I DON'T WANT TO!"

She felt a swift kick to her stomach, and she dropped to the ground, unshed tears brimming at her eyes. She could hear others her crying out in shock, but they couldn't do anything to help her.

Slowly she looked up to her aggressor. To anyone watching, it was just a ogre scareling. But to a small hatching such as herself, he was huge. And with a stupid grin plastered over his face, he held up a small scareon pup in front of her. It whined pitifully, struggling to get out of the stronger creatures grasp.

"This shouldn't be hard for you" He sneered. "I thought dragons enjoyed this kind of thing."
"Well I don't!"

"Hah! Talk about a coward." He paused, looking at the scareon with a hungry look in his eyes. "Oh well...if you wont do it..."

It wasn't one of pokes more pleasant memories, that was for sure. She had been very young back then, and unable to much to fighter the bigger scareling off. But in her current state, the memory didn't effect her. She was much stronger now, and would be able to fend him off easily if he dared to show his face.

After the meditation, she slowly opened her eyes, surprised at how refreshed she felt. The meditation had worked far better then she had assumed it would. Quietly, she got to her feet, glancing around at the others, before moving to the elevator.

((Entering Day 1))
Silence, Please...

What the horsewoman said made sense to Siddie; the displays of skill had been amazing, but skill wasn't much good if you were too nervous to aim. Or whatever equivalent for whatever weapon or skill you had. She found a flat, empty spot on the floor and folded her legs carefully under her. She still felt strange wearing flat-soled shoes; it felt like being barefoot. The clothes she had borrowed were much more comfortable for the damp heat of the island, but so different from what she usually wore.

It was time to meditate, not think about outfits, she scolded herself, and closed her eyes. The quiet wasn't silence, not really; the soft, slow creak of the structure and the rustle of the leaves underlay an irregular tapestry of sound, wild creatures and insects calling in the forest and the distant, occasional sound of voices. The cool shadow that lay inside the classroom comforted her and let her settle into a tranquil, easy state. She could feel the playform swaying slightly beneath her with the motion of the tree, she realized; it was calming, like being rocked in a hammock. A faint smile curved her lips.

Listening to the sounds of the forest was soothing, but in spite of the calm and quiet, she couldn't seem to clear her mind. Every little noise sparked another thought, and every thought chased its tail into another. She tried to push the thoughts aside, but they came crowding back in. Maybe she shouldn't be trying, she thought, but that was harder than it sounded. Every time she felt like her mind was starting to quiet down and empty out, she realized that her mind was going quiet, and that brought the thoughts tumbling back in.

She was supposed to be meditating about battle, though, wasn't she? The spar she'd had with Petro came to mind, and maybe meditation was helping after all, because she could see it so much more clearly now, see what she'd done wrong and what she'd done right. The latter part was smaller than the former, but it was still there. That encouraged her. And if she could understand better what she'd done right, maybe she could do it better next time.

She couldn't always count on having anything to fight with. Maybe not even her claws; here, she could feel herself fixed to her humanoid form, her fingers no more than fingers, unable to stretch and sharpen in the way she'd discovered. Maybe she could learn to fight with her hands and feet; she might not have hardened hooves or bony fists, but she could learn to use her body with what she could do, couldn't she? And if she could learn to fight without having to make claws, maybe then she'd be better at fighting when she could, too.

It occurred to her, slowly, drifting into her mind, that maybe making claws wasn't the limit of her capacity to change herself. She was made of shadows, a mutable substance that could shift and change. Why couldn't she alter herself further, in more ways than simply making her fingers into claws? She couldn't do it right now, of course, but maybe she could learn. Her floor-shadow had moved and talked on its own in Shadowcraft. Perhaps, if she could learn more control over the stuff of her body, she would be more effective.

It surprised her to hear the shuffle of movement around her, the low sound of voices. Were the fifteen minutes gone already? She must have done all right if the time had passed without her really noticing. When she opened her eyes and tried to get up, though, she nearly fell. Ow! She'd tucked her feet wrong or something; they tingled numbly, her ankles weak under her. Her cheeks purpled slightly with embarrassment as she hobbled out to shake her feet out outside. She'd do better next time, she resolved, embarrassed.

[Entering Day 2]

Naturally, Canon's mannequin was quite a lot taller than she was. The fact that it was lurching towards her in a decidedly eerie manner seemed lost on the Skark, though. She was too interested in watching it move and trying to guess how it worked. That is, until it thumped her hard on the head with its shapeless 'hand'.

Oh, right, she was supposed to be running from this thing! Turning on her heel, she dodged its next blow and scurried off into the forest. Okay, weapon, weapon, weapon... what could she use? Her single red eye scoured the forest speculatively as the mannequin ran after her.

Wait. Vines! Canon scampered toward the dangling tendrils, and grabbed one. She wasn't strong enough to pull it off its tree, but she could climb it! Taking the slack with her as she ascended, she pulled herself hand over hand till she was well out of reach of the mannequin. The relentless thing was still trying to attack, however. Canon watched the pattern of its blows and waited until there was an opening. There!

Loosening her grip, she slid down the vine and nimbly tied the end around the mannequin's neck as fast as she could. It flailed at her, but she'd managed to land on its back, so its aim was off. With the vine tied, Canon threw all her weight off to the side, and began swinging the mannequin around by the neck.

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" the Skark cried, but her glee was short-lived. Her weight plus the mannequins soon pulled the vine off the tree, dumping both of them to the ground.

Herryk arrived to class almost exuding a sense of calmness that could be considered a little off-putting. Each move he made was almost languid, though he seemed to become more and more alert as the task for the day was explained.

When it came time for the draugr to begin, his first weapon of choice wasn't.. well, it wasn't the best weapon. Herryk grabbed at a handful of loose, brown dirt. In an attempt to blind the mannequin, Herryk tossed it in the face of the thing. He missed entirely, a warm breeze picking up and sending the grains of dirt to the ground.

Herryk grunted.

Arriving to the class for the day, Shun listened carefully to what their instructor had to say. It was kind of ironic how just earlier he had decided to practice his weaponcrafting because there could be times he may be without his reaper weapons. While he wasn't too amused with the comment regarding the mannequin, he was determined to not underestimate the task. It wasn't within his nature to go easy on anything, even if it meant a lifeless target.

Once the signal was given, he rushed out into the forest to seek himself a weapon.

At some point, he spotted a fairly hefty rock. It would do for now. With a grunt, he picked up the object before hurling it at the mannequin. It seemed to do alright, but he was going to need to find something else to attack with now.

(Entering Day 2)

Alex was actually looking forward to the class today, hoping that it could be a pleasant repeat of the day before. What was even better was when they were led through a winding trail in the forest, rather then having to take one of those horrible elevator devices again. Well, it was better and it was worse, because he was forced to stumble along, and try to keep up to the pace of the other students in the class, though he purposefully kept himself to the back of the 'horde' in order to stay out of anybodies way. The walk along was quiet, and Alex kept mostly to himself, eyes wandering over all of the sights to be seen.

As the students mad their way into the clearing, Alex remained standing near the back, his tall frame making it easy enough to be able to see what was happening, despite the many people standing in front of him. Also, the teacher herself had a voice that easily carried to where he stood, and he aborbed the knowledge that she had to give today eagerly.

Oh..combat? Well, that wasn't really Alex's strong point, if that stadium training was any indication of his abilities. But she said it wasn't the type of combat they were used to, so he listened on, curious as to what she might mean by that.

He had to agree that FEAR was not to be relied upon, and indeed, Alex had rarely ever even attempted the use of his own during sparring or battle. His skills in FEAR wielding were really not all that great, anyways, and he often missed, so he could actually relate quite well to what she was saying.

Alex had only been able to catch glimpses of the leathery objects stacked behind the horsewoman, what with the crowd of students in front of him and all. It wasn't until she pulled one out and held it up that he could see what it was, and even then, he was not quite sure what she was wanting them to do with it. The fact that she emphasized that they used these to teach their children to fight at a very young age was probably meant to be an insult towards the gathered group of students, but Alexander just shrugged it off, remembering what Yin had said about how they would show these horsemen what they were truly capable of.

She finished off the rest of her instruction with words that sent chills down Alex's spine. The thought of somebody taking away his teeth, or tearing out his nails was not a pleasant one, but she had made her point. He would not want to be caught without any means of defending himself or his friends, so this practice of finding things to fight without in the jungle seemed like a valuable learning excersize.

Oh but she was telling them to run. Well..Alex couldn't really run unless he really really put his mind to it, and right now he didn't think he'd be able too manage, especially with the terrain. He did turn and shamble off, however, unsure of when the manniquin brought to temporary 'life' might be upon him.

He moved as quickly as he could manage. He could hear the sounds of the other students as they took off into the foilage nearby, but every rustle of leaves, every cracking stick made him glance over his shoulder, sure that he was soon going to find himself in battle with his own manniquen. He needed to do what the teacher said, and get himself a weapon, but what? There were plenty of sticks lying around, but...

Suddenly he remembered what the horsewoman had said. Meditate, center yourself, use what you've learnt from the day before. He took a moment to close his eyes, to clear his mind, to try and find himself that state of zen he had found in that classroom before. It was not quite the same as what he had managed in the fifteen minutes from then, but it was enough. When he opened his eyes, he felt slightly more refreshed, and more ready to take on this challange. A stick? No, that wasn't quite good enough. Right now, before that mannequin arrived, he had time. Time to come up with an actual plan, to do something slightly more ingenious.

Glancing upwards, he saw what it was he was looking for, and reached up to snag the vine that was looping down from tree to tree. Yanking on it hard, he managed to snap it loose, and without further thought, tide it between two tree's,close to the ground where it might not be seen, then moved along to hide near another one, waiting, listening..

The manniquen suddenly emerged, it's faceless stitched up self somewhat disquieting in it's oddly human nature. Alex stepped out from behind the tree he had been half hidden behind, giving the mannequin a half cocked smile and made a gesture like 'ya, come at me!'.

His plan worked out nearly flawlessly, as his 'opponent' lunged forward, catching it's feet on the vine that was stretched taut between the two tree's and falling forward to the ground hard. What Alex had not been anticipating, was just how quickly the mannequin managed to get back to it's feet, already lunging at Alex again. He took some few steps backwards, in an attempt to backpedal away from it, but it came at him too fast, and landed a punch against his jaw. What was it with him and getting hit in the face all of the time??

As swiftly as he could, Shun continued on through the forest. He tried to keep a sharp eye out for anything that could be used. And sure enough, he managed to spot a beehive. Carefully, he picked it up before turning around to launch it at the mannequin chasing him. The hive burst open onto it and the angry bees had been unleashed.

The thing had managed to kick him before he had done so, but that didn't stop him from moving on.

Though, the Reaper was mildly surprised with his ability to aim with just one eye right now.

She couldn't use her teeth or claws? Kemnebi growled and lashed her tail in irritation. She didn't like being thought of as less than this groups children either.

Snapping her eyes closed, Nebi tried to center herself like they learned yesterday. She still wasn't very good at it, but at least some of the anger was draining away.

WHACK

Jack damn it, she took too long and the manniquin hit her. Turning, Nebi sprinted into the forest. Looking for something to hit the nasty shuffling thing, Nebi's cat ears caught the sound of bees above her. Maybe she couldn't use her claws to fight the manniquin directly, but nothing said she couldn't climb a tree with them.

She climbed up the tree, grabbed the hive and hurled the hive straght at the maniquin. Bullseye! She thought, hopping out of the tree and continueing to run.
