Thankfully, he didn't miss much of what was being told and taught. He couldn't help but let out a silent snort at the demonstration. This was what they were going to do in class today, not sure if interesting or if chaos will break out. Clyde made a mental note to keep record of it before leaving to find a place to start working on his lasso. He picked out a spot, grabbed a vine, before taking a sit to start working.
The first time he tied the knot, it didn't work so well. The knot fell apart when Clyde tried to tighten it.

Finally! After a couple of attempts it seemed like she had managed to get her knot tied properly, she gave it a few test swings...just to be sure and when it didn't unravel on her she practically cheered before eyeing her fellow classmates with the predatory look of someone picking out their first target.

Having decided to take it easy, Amarus was incredibly surprised when someone managed to lasso her. With what was as close to a friendly smile as she could manage, Amarus waved at the boil she had never met and waved him over. Maybe if he wanted later, he would come introduce himself. Otherwise, when she was quite done watching her friends try to tie knots, she'd probably go say hello to the other students.
"Mort!" she suddenly started, looking at him with another smile, "You got a kiss?! That's definitely some loot; congratulations. Hope it wasn't from Wyatt or something, though... I'd be kinda disappointed," she said, her face smooth and expressionless again.

"Tell me about it," said Sparrow to Zurine, giving her a smile as he tried yet again to tie a knot in the rope in his lap.

Okay, not too tight, not too - damn it, the knot came undone again. But even this could not frustrate Mort for long, as he happily told them about the event. "Yes, horsemen met! Lots've bells, had flowers on that grew backwards," he explained with awe. "Think must be special horseman, able giving brain like so. Trying get better at talking, but has no stutters t'least!" He was quite pleased, almost glowing with pride even at this second chance to not sound like a total herpderp.
"Also, er . . . would like pointers. thin would all like pointers, Amarus." ^^; At least, given his and Sparrow's luck, as well as that of Zurine's by them.

"It takes some pretty clever finger work - and of course they've probably been practicing this for..well ever" She concluded "So of course it would take us a bit longer to figure it out" She encouraged and since he'd drawn her attention with his comment and she needed someone to try and lasso anyways she flipped her rope at him in her first attempt. It was a strange motion and one that probably took even more practice to get right then tying the knot did - a sentiment that was proved because she totally missed the target.
"That is awesome Mort!" She told him cheerfully, having overheard about his encounter with one of the horsemen. "All that happened to me on that island was getting attacked by plants..oh and glowing pink twice, that was neat. Not nearly as cool as what happened to you though!"

Sparrow grinned. "So you had a good time on the Isle you were on before, did you?" he asked Mort, nudging his shoulder conspiratorially. "Sounds like you had fun!"
"And yes," he added, eyeing his own rope rather suspiciously, as though it were conspiring against both him and the zombie. "Some pointers would be much appreciated."
Following Zurine's example, Sparrow carefully folded one end of the rope over the other, looped it around until it was tight and pulled one of the ends.
The knot stayed.
"Ah!" said Sparrow in surprise, but he smiled brightly at the ghoul. "Finally! Thank you! I don't believe I caught your name? I'm Sparrow."Quote: finally you learned how to tie a knot Sparrow I'm so proud Ol-j-man clearly they are just boss :T

"Zurine" She supplied her name with a warm look and a cheery tone "And no problem, this is far better then what I was afraid they might have us do here - I was picturing getting my butt whipped everyday for an entire week" She admitted, pulling her rope back from her first attempt to lasso someone and eyeing Mort as the target of her second attempt, because hey why not vary it up a little bit?
Of course she completely missed again - though it didn't seem to dampen her mood any.

After failing to get one target he picked another seeing as if he tried the same one twice it...Wouldn't be good. He gave the ghoul a brief nod and then did the one moment hand sign as he moved to then pick another target - A zom-boil. The attempt once again fell short of its target flopping to the floor uselessly.
"Oops." Kettil sighed a bit as he moved to reel his rope back in for a new attempt.

Third attempt, Clyde stared at the rope in his hand in concentration. However, it didn't save him from failing once more. The knot unravels and all he could do was mentally swear at the bad luck he was having. It seems tying knots just wasn't his thing.

Mort grinned widely. "Yes, very good time. Show prospective student 'round. Sparrow may saw him, small mousey boil, Rafe. Comes from homeschool but wants knowing more." And then Zurine's rope came close to wringing itself around him, though to no avail. He laughed a bit, even as his clumsy fingers managed to create another Jack-cursed knot in the vine.
"Mrrr . . . starting think plants not like. Did not n' Famine, like Zurine say. Made sleepy, attacked friends, poison Taryn; not very happy t'all. But class was okay, methinks?" He looked to Sparrow and Zurine for their own opinions, seeing as they too had been there under Bulbous's . . . tutelage.
Lo and behold a second vine tried to wrap itself around him, tapping his leg meekly before being wrangled by a sheepish purple-haired boil. Mort glanced at him, blinking. Since when did a zombie become such a hard target, especially one sitting still? "Er, spin more like horsemen say?" he suggested to his would-be wrangler before turning to Amarus. "Where you come from, what clan? How was?"((Oh my sweet God, you can't suck at knotting this much can you? 8U))

So apparantly she wasn't very good with this whole lassoing thing but she would keep trying anyways! Letting her gaze wander throughout her assembled classmates she finally spotted one. She didn't really pick the boil for any particular reason - heck she didn't even know him, but then again when had such things ever stopped Zurine?
Ha! She'd finally gotten someone! Cheered by this fact she quickly retriever her rope and gave the boil an apologetic smile "Sorry! Hope I didn't mess you up or anything!" She told him before moving back to where she had been. Maybe she'd try to get Mort and Sparrow again now that she'd had a bit more success.

Zurine tossed the other boil another apologetic smile as she hurried away having caught his slight glare - but she wouldn't hold it against him. He was probably just frustrated with trying to tie the knot and she was glad he'd gotten his done.
"Class was..okay" Zurine allowed when she returned to the group in time to hear Mort's question "I liked some of the training exercises better, well the ones that didn't make me torture small animals anyways" She allowed, recalling the poison exercise. Since she had missed Mort the first time she flipped her rope at him again - though judging by the others failed attempts he was an elusive target to choose a thought she proved true cause she missed him again
