Like everyone else, Cress's actions that day baffled Scarlett. She couldn't understand why he did what he did. She was of a tougher species, had combat training and healed faster with his attentions.
Alone with her thoughts she puzzled over this problem trying to come to a conclusion, all the while watching over him like a loyal guard dog... the same way he had watched over her.

Crestus awoke after a while. His ribs hurt a little and he still felt a bit groggy. His eyes looked up to Scarlett. "O-Oh...are you alright? " he asked trying to sit up. Wincing a little he managed too. "Guess I over did it a little..i'm sorry I just didn't want to see you getting hurt again..." Crestus was glad that his injuries were minor.
Smiling genly at Scarlett he was happy she was safe.

"If you weren't already in a hospital, I'd make sure you would be after pulling a stunt like that." She replied, crushing the soda can she had in her hand. While her words had a their regular harshness to them, her eyes held no rage as she said this.
"What were you thinking doing that? I had that wolf thing right where I wanted him..." she lied.

Cress gave her an odd look. She was mad, but her eyes weren't. When she lied he frowned. "Don't lie to me, I saw what he did to your wing. I had to protect you, If I lost you Scarlett..I don't know what I'd do. Even though summoners treat your kind like pets, you aren't to me. I'm glad I summoned you, it's nice to have a Summoned Creature I can talk to. You're a little rough, but that's ok. I'll always be there for you, to pull you out of any situation that seems dangerous." he said with a friendly smile.
"I care about you. I want you to rise to the top, I can see the potential in you." Cress coughed a little then winced because coughing hurt his ribs a little. "T-Though I think I may have overdone it a little.." he blushed from his embarassment.

"Still... I heal faster with your spells then you do with all these... whats the word? Doctors." She said, gesturing out the door where one could see doctors in their white jackets running back and forth.
Looking down at the sticky mess of aluminum she now held in her hand, she smiled. "I guess I better go get another one of those..." she said, standing up and heading for the door.

"Have you been here the whole time Scarlett?" he asked with curiosity. Cress noticed she was acting a bit different, why? Shaking that off he layed back down. "Thanks for sticking by my side actually." His magic only worked on her, summoners had no spells to heal them, only time.
Cress let her get another drink if she wanted too, right now there wasn't much he could do.

Cress blushed a little. Why was she being so nice to him all of a sudden? Watching Scarlett leave he lay back down and fell back asleep.

After three weeks Cress was able to move around. Taking classes again, people seemed to treat him a little differently too. It would be a while before he would have another match with someone. Instead he would take Scarlett to the training are of the school everyday.
A spot for SC's to get stronger and develop more skills and techniques, it was a great place for a Summoner and their SC to bond as well. It was sunset when Cress took Scarlett to the training ground today. Despite him being ablt to move around, he still needed to take it easy for a while. Doing some homework from one of his classes, he allowed Scarlett to 'tear up' the training grounds as much as she wanted to.

And tear it up she did. Within fifteen minutes, anything that could be smashed, punched and/or assaulted had been. "Theres hardly any fun in fighting something that doesn't fight back..." She commented as she roundhouse kicked a yet another punching bag across the room.
Rolling her shoulders and cracking her neck she began to mindlessly shadowbox, light from the setting sun reflecting of her crimson scales as she gracefully danced around.

"I'm sorry Scarlett. Sometimes it takes a while to schedual fights. We can stop coming here..but I've noticed you've gotten a taste for snacks. Unless you want to end up a chubby dragoness then it's probably a good idea for you to come here..up to you though." Cress teased. He had been doing that a lot more lately.
After that day it seemed that they both began to open up to each other a little. Standing up he stretched some. Something to eat sounded good actually. Packing up he gently strapped on his backpack. His ribs still a bit sore, he did wince a little.
"I got a notice today that my confinement is over with. So I'll show you my dorm and cook us up something for dinner. Oh by the way, you did a terrific job today Scarlett." he smiled warmly. Cress always tried to praise her even if she did beat helpless punching bags around. He knew that the little training she would do, would help her out in the battles yet to come.

"I can't help it if those little chocolate things taunt me so..." She said, rolled up her shirt to reveal the smooth scales and skin of her flat belly. "See? Not an inch of flab to be seen..."
"Good, I'm sick of that medical center and their weird gooey foods." she answered, reassembling the gym/arena as best she could before she fluttered over to Cress' side.
"And thank you..." she added with a quick hug. Due to their height differences, Cress simply got a face full of boobs, not that he minded...

Cress chuckled at her response, though he figured even if Scarlett had a chubby belly she probably would still be just as powerful. When she hugged him his face blushed beet red. Lately she had been hugging him more now, which surprised him a little. He didn't mind though, she was so...soft.
They entered his dorm room and he let out a happy sigh. "Home sweet home...well dorm." he chuckled setting his bag down by a small couch. It was meduim sized, with one bed, one bathroom, one living area, and one kitchen. It wasn't so bad and most of the rooms were kept clean daily. Opening his fridge, Cress frowned. There wasn't much in there. looks like I've got some shopping to do... he thought.
Walking over to his savings drawer, he pulled out some money then gave Scarlett an embarassed look. "I haven't been here in a month..would you like to do a little shopping? We can just pick up a few things, including something to make dinner. Or you can stay here, I won't force you." he asked with a smile.

Briefly exploring this new location Cress called his dorm, whatever that meant, Scarlett was soon entertained by the 'magic' of this box that kept objects cold when placed inside it. Unfortunately this magic box was empty unlike the one at the hospital.
"Of course I'll come. Why pass up a chance to see more of this place..." she replied, making her way back towards the door.

Cress gave her a nod. Luckally the store wasn't that far so walking to it wouldn't take long. "You have to promise me not to leave my side when we enter the store. People won't freak out because Summoners go there all the time." He said to her as they left.
The air was plesent and warm as they walked. He felt odd, yet very protected and safe with Scarlett near him. When they entered the store, he grabbed a cart and began to look around making sure she was with him.

Nodding in agreement, Scarlett tailed Cress through into store. While she didn't say much of anything on the way there, it was clear she was taking in the new sights and smells.
Observing the people around her as they shopped, Scarlett couldn't help feeling out of place. True, she was a seven and half foot tall crimson dragonness, but there was something else... Her armor.
