Jungle Course
After recovering from the infirmary, Jericho came back out to see that the weather had shifted. It no longer was raining, but now it was humid as all hell. It probably wouldn't have been so bad for him if there wasn't that damn fog sitting all around.
"Did you know that fog is basically a cloud on the ground?" the Lepus chimed in.
This just warranted a growl from the dragon, who began to stomp off towards the Jungle. Because why not?
The jungle looked to be pretty difficult to navigate, but once he actually got into it, he found that it really wasn't all that bad at all. Snatching up one of the flags, he proceeded without much difficulty.

There was a ravine up ahead now. Looking around, he tried to think of a way to cross. In the stuffy humidity, he decided to try and swing himself across with some vines. This did not end will for Jericho, and he ended up falling hard.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
Ever since the Island, fog made Malodore vaguely nervous - it didn't particularly want to be in the fog at all, especially since the humidity was gunging up its lenses. Definitely time to go underground.
Having selected its course, the plague doctor shuffled forward into the darkness. It was rather extreme darkness, as darknesses went, even accounting for its terrible night vision. But at least it wasn't as foggy here, or quite as hot. Malodore kept both hands out in front of it as it moved, not so much taking steps as sliding its hooves along the rough stone floor. While it stumbled every so often, it never quite fell.
"Did you know... that stalagmites are on the ground, while stalactites are on the ceiling?"
"You already told me that," it sighed, reaching out. It tensed as its fingers touched something not-rock, but fortunately it ended up being the rough, scratchy fabric of a flag. Yay.
((Rolled 3 - Pass, flag get!))

Snow Dash! Junko hated snow. She hated it. Why was she doing this course again? Regardless, she ran as fast as she could through the fog, already sweating from the humidity. Oh right! She chose this course because it was cold. Maybe if she fell she could cool off in it. What was that cracking noise? Junko stopped a moment, a bad idea. The ground beneath her started to give out and she gasped, leaping across the growing gap and landing on the other side. Snow Dash! Run run run! Don't stop running! Keep going! Keep--falling face first into the snow. While this was a nice relief from the humidity it was also a great surprise to Junko. She coughed up a bit of the ice cold snow and stood, looking down to find it went up to her knees. Cooooooooold! Sighing, she waded through the snow until she got to the other side. She also picked up a flag on her way out, looking back at what she'd just trudged through. Wow, that could've been a lot deeper! Snow Dash! She could do this! She was doing so well! Junko cheered as she saw the finish line, running as fast as her freezing cold legs could go. That was when she heard and felt the rumble behind her. First rule of running: Never look back. Junko looked back and was met with a face full of snow, carrying her along away from the finish line and..back to the beginning. THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
As it continued deeper into the cave, Malodore got the distinct feeling that the cavern was narrowing. The movement of its passage was reflected back to it in a different way, and after a few more sliding steps it could feel damp stone on either side.
Then its claws slipped free of the rock. Malodore stopped and stepped closer to one wall, following its curve. It felt like another tunnel, a fork in the 'road'... but which way should it go? There was absolutely no indication, visual or otherwise.
Well. It did have something allegedly knowledgeable strapped to its back. "Do you know which way to go?"
"Did you know... that cheating isn't allowed?"
The plague doctor rolled its eyes. Fine. Fine. After a moment's thought, it continued following the wall it was already on, heading to the right...
((Rolled even, moving on to roll 1d6 below.))

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
Something growled.
"Did you know... that this cave is inhabited?" the lepus guide said, cheerfully.
Oh. Lovely. That was not a fact anyone wanted to hear, especially not in a completely dark cave with only sight and touch to guide it. Malodore turned, banged its beak into the wall, then started running back the other way, keeping one palm flat against the stone as a guide. It could tell when it reached the fork - the sound of its hooves changed - and this time it kept going the other direction.
The growling faded.
"Did you know... that there's a flag up ahead?"
There was. Malodore found it with its face.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
It took a while, but suddenly Malodore realized that it could see. Faint shapes were suddenly delineated against the darkness, allowing the plague doctor to see what appeared to be a dead end-
"Did you know... that always I wanna be with you, and make believe with you, and live in harmony, harmony oh love?"
"What," Malodore began, then yelped as something wrapped around its ankle and snapped it off-balance. It had a brief dizzying glimpse of something rainbow-striped before whatever-it-was released it, sending it tumbling down a slope - no, not a slope, a slide.
And then it was outside again, spluttering. At least it had two flags to its credit, and it hadn't dissipated, but... what. What.
"Did you know..."
"Did you know that your lifespan could be made significantly shorter than it already is?" Malodore muttered, menacingly.
"..."
Hmph.
((Rolled 3 - FAIL.))

Riley chose the cave of fire this time around, because she enjoyed caves. And she missed her best friend. When she walked in, she tripped on a hot coal and fell flat on her face. It was warm here. She decided to stay. And possibly crochet.

THE WATER LAKEThe Nergal was getting rather worried. She hadn't seen her new purple friends for quite a while, not even in the place of great healing. She waited, and waited, and waited-
"Did you know that your friends are over there?" Piped the Lepus Guide, as helpful as a talking minipet could try to be.
Spectrae and the Lepus Guide had developed some sort of bond between the scant couple of hours they had been together. Perhaps it was because they really, had the same level of intelligence. But sometimes, matters could not be explained in words: for they understood each other, and that was all that mattered.
The traveling duo got as far, due to fog conditions, as what might have been a pier next to a lake, but considering the lake was already fogging, and it was fogging on top of being fogging, it was really just, in general, impossible to see. Spectrae wasn't even too sure if she was stuck or simply moving in one spot in the fog, and it confused the Lepus Guide as well for the next hour or so.
But it was okay, because they had each other. ((OOC: Day: 2 Student name: Spectrae STEP: 1 FLAGS OBTAINED: 0 WEATHER MECHANICS: -1 Dice roll = 2, no bonus mechanics BONUS MECHANICS: N/ A FINAL FLAGS OBTAINED: 0 ))

THE WATER LAKE
Despite her enjoyable stay in the Fire Cave, where she crochetted a lovely scarf for Jericho, Riley decided that she wouldn't mind going for a swim. It had been rather hot in that cave, and her skin craved the cool moisture of the watery deep. So she stood at the edge of the pier, remaining fully clothed despite how uncomfortable swimming in clothing would be, and dove gracefully into the lake. The dark green of the foliage that reached out and threatened to snag her seemed just a touch too far away for their efforts, and she made it to her destination unscathed within seconds.

THE WATER LAKE
The only problem with weaving a basket underwater was the lack of air. Riley could have lasted longer, if she'd taken a larger gulp and kept air within her tentacles, but she hadn't expected weaving to take so long when all she'd been doing lately is crocheting.
Crocheting and weaving were not the same thing, and her basket floated uselessly in pieces to the surface along with her.

THE WATER LAKE
Never one to make the same mistake twice, Riley inhaled air from every one of her tentacles except the middle one, and dove back down into the lake. There, she managed to carefully intertwine the components to make a rather fetching looking basket, while threading ribbon through the handle and dotting the outside with skull charms.
There were fish. Watching her. She did not think this a good sign, even though it actually was. So she took her pretty basket, and her flag, and moved on quickly.

Ah. No. She was right. Those fish that watched her so carefully, were now trying to attack her. She fled to the shore, waiting for them to become disinterested with her and move on.
