Seiko looked to the girl with the colorful outfit as the man with the straw colored hair told her to go with this other girl. Her eyes narrowed as he spoke to her and told her to be less rude. Her head quickly whipped back to him, and she laughed at that, she was just about to come back at him with a snappy retort, though as he began to speak to the unconscious soldier, her eyes widened as he drew his sword and stepped towards him. She went towards him, her hand outstretched as she tried to stop him as she caught onto his intentions, but before she could, he drew a single stroke with his sword and the soldier's neck was sliced open and hot blood splashed against the dirt.

Seiko held back a strangled scream at the sight, her hands covering her mouth as she cringed at the sight. All around, the sudden gasp of spectators, followed by a deadly silence, filled the air that surrounded the three. Breathing heavily, Seiko slowly lowered her hands and anxiously gazed about the square with wide eyes and she worried her bottom lip with her teeth.

As soon as the shock of what had just happened finally wore off, the crowd broke into a frenzy as they trampled each other and ran away in fear, loudly announcing the crime to the entire city, and no doubt alerting the officials.

Not soon after this, furious shouts could be heard not far way. Soon the remaining crowd began to part, as men dressed in the emperor's soldier garb parted their way through the sea of peons. One man in particular, this one wearing a shining breastplate who seemed much more donned than the rest, was obviously the leader of the guard.

Seiko looked to the girl next to her, her eyes were wide and her small frame trembling slightly in her fear, "W-what are we going to do now?" she asked her, though she knew there would be no backing out of this after the man's rash decision to slit the other soldier's throat was made.

"You three! Halt where you stand!" He addressed them all, even though the two girls of the group had not committed the crime. The leader of the guard's dark eyes finally settled on the form his fallen troop, his eyes soon filled with unadulterated rage, "You three are all under arrest for assault of a royal officer, and also for disrupting the peace!" He lowered his naginata (a long pole weapon with a curved sword at the tip) and the other surrounding guard's followed his lead, "Our great and powerful daimyo will determine the fate of these poor ruffians... your punishments will be very severe," He sneered and the guards caged the three into a tight circle.

When the soldier's were less than ten feet away, the leader suddenly paused, his posture turning rigid.

Seiko blinked as she looked at him, her eyes confused as she watched him gasp and look down at his chest, he lifted his hand to grasp at his breast plate frantically. He then began to struggle violently and screamed in pain before his head suddenly snapped backward and his mouth opened in a soundless cry. Blood burst from his mouth and coated his face.

A breathy growl filled the crowd causing everyone within the square to gasp in fear. Seiko spotted a flicker of movement, of something very large, almost the size of a Sabertooth Haiena. She thought that she had simply imagined it as she had only seen a blur of space near the other onlookers and then it was gone. However all her thoughts of imagining it quickly were dashed as a nearly invisible appendage, coated thickly with blood and bright green acid ripped through the front of the soldier's armor plate and hoisted the human high into the air. His tormented screams rang through the square as the appendage forced its way in deeper, shredding open his abdomen. The soldier hung suspended in the air for a moment, his body jerking as it gave into the great unknown called death, a large pool of blood forming beneath his elevated form.

That was when the man's killer finally made itself known, as from the tip of the appendage, formed that of a viciously barbed tip which followed the length of what appeared to be a tail. The rest of the creature then coalesced into an even more frightening monster as it revealed itself.

The creature stood on four legs, its body-shape nearly reptilian in nature. Its skin was a smooth glossy black that stretched tight over its lithe and agile frame. Its head long and streamlined, and it had a wicked looking horn atop its brow line. The creature had no eyes to speak of, as it appeared that its skin was spread over its skull. No indentation of eye sockets could be seen at all. Along its back long spikes stood from its back and continued on down the length of its very long tail.

The creature bared its fangs at the crowd, the sharp teeth stretching across the entire length of its jawline. The skin there was obviously not fused together, and gave off the impression that the creature was capable of literally biting off more than it could possibly swallow. Along its zygomatic arch, gold bands seemed to be looped through the bone, which clanked quietly together as it turned it head back and forth. Its deadly claws rested lightly against the dirt as it calmly surveyed the crowd as its breathing quickened before its head turned toward the three in the middle of the crowd. Or more precisely, the man with the straw colored hair.

Its tail was still in the air, supporting the body of the soldier who had now stopped convulsing. With a simple flick of its tail, it flung the soldier away and he collided into a building several meters away, his body crumpling in on itself as though someone had removed his spine.

I asked Zandekar, and he said it would be ok for me to make this plot. 3nodding

aine began to mumble softly against Katsu’s rusted feathers in her sleep as the Hippogryph continued to chase his prey, scattering feathers of the demon owls in a slight trail.

His mouth hung open as he let out a high pitched sound to help numb the owls sense of hearing as he flew quickly though the sky, his legs almost galloping as his wings stretched out further and further as the creature picked up speed.

There were quite a few more owls as a huge flock flew over a huge village and Katsu found his eyes widening as something smacked the daylights out of one of his prey.

His first reaction was to hiss loudly in midair as he dove suddenly to the ground, his cyan eyes glaring over the owl that was now covered in acid. And he watched as a demon bolted each owl from the sky.

His first instinct was to step back as slowly as he could, to avert attention from the creature. It was then that he had finally heard the sounds of screaming villagers and his huge feathered head turned swiftly as he took in the sight of another demon right behind him that seemed to be killing one of the lumpy men in the middle of the square.

Katzu’s first reaction was a loud squawk in fear as his massive wings rose high into the air before he leaped onto one of the many houses surrounding the street, running along the roof and jumping closer to where the people were.
He knew that if there were more targets then his chances of survival increased.

A flash of red and he was back on the road, his cyan eyes glancing through the people until he noticed three particular humans that did not seem to be running. A sort of awe bubbled deep within his stomach as they all reminded him of the certain red haired girl on his back.

The villagers that were surrounding the area scattered around the Hippogryph in fear of being eaten, screaming at the devastating fact that those things would tear down the entire city if they so desired to as Katsu seemed to smile from behind his beak as he walked closer to the humans in admiration, and then suddenly he had realised that the male of the group was in fact part demon.

His feet padded against the cold stone ground of the strange villages earth as he slowly made his way up to the three, his eyes knowingly stayed on the male before he had gotten close enough to turn his body towards the injured girl, his large head turning to face her as he nodded slightly- almost as if he was asking her to climb up against the sleeping girl on his back. After all her bravery deserved some kind of reward for having a cool head about the danger they were in.

Once more his huge head turned to the man, expecting some sort of aid from him before he had gently rose one large foot up to his face, distinctly looking like a face palm before he let out a soft squawk to the young dancer.
Maybe she had enough common sense to get out of danger now that everyone was panicking for their own lives.

"Time to play it seems" Said Lyern with a disgusting smile on his face as the reptile killed the soldier in front of him. He liked the challenge presented at him, specially because of the entrance it made by killing the soldier and causing a panic in the streets. He felt the death of other demons and some sort of being approaching quickly towards his and the girl's position, after a few moments the being that was actually a Hippogryph. The Hippogryph looked like it was trying to tell him something so he turned towards it and Lyern said[ "Can you take these women away, bird?" and then turned his back on it. He was planning something more sinister he channeled his energy so it could not be sensed and pikes of dark matter started killing off all the pedestrian in any neighboring area besides the two women next to him and the bird. He made it look like he had nothing to do with it as he was sure the Hippogryph must had noticed something was off about him.

"I wonder what happened to them" He said in a surprised voice. He looked back at the women and the Hippogryph waiting a response. He would like for the girls to get away and himself if he could. "They keep dropping with those weird black pikes, I think you should take the girls and leave" he said to the Hippogryph with a smile on his face and his blue eyes staring directly at it.

He heard the other reptile approach them and again spoke to the Hippogryph saying "Now or never, from what I see if you get hit by that acid you are done for" with a dull expression on his face. He still had his sword in hand and prepared for any type of trouble if the bird would not help. Since he didn't want the women to know he was a demon he would have to fight with his sword which he thought weren't going to be very effective against these weird demons.

Rezsera

Current Location: Outside Brothel Shimahara near the center of Yuina
Mood:Still panicing
Course of Action Taking: changing her gaze to the giant bird beside her to the demons to the swordsman a little bit in front of her
What is expected of him?: Escape

First demons start to invade Yuina and then a giant bird flies beside her, at this point Rezsera was so hysterical and confused that she stopped trying to make sense of what was going on around her and only stood in place. After a few moments she started to notice these black objects killing everyone and everything around the man yet she, the young girl and the bird remained unscathed. At this point she would rather take her chances with the swordsman than try to run away and get killed by the demons rampaging throughout the city as she quickly ran toward the swordsman before speaking to him in a frightened voice. "I Have no idea what's going on. I don't how Yuina is now full of monsters. And, I have no idea why those black....THINGS aren't killing us. All I know is that something is telling me right now that the safest place at this very moment is near you. Which might not be much better but the chances of me dying seem to be slightly less than me just running blindly trying to escape."

Rezsera tried to calm down and rethink her decision about staying close to the swordsman but couldn't and in her current situation she thought this was the best choice. She was taking a huge risk for placing her life in some random strangers hands but it was still better then what would of happened to her if she tried to run away and find shelter after seeing how fast the demons were. She continued to look at him as she started to speak again; "Please help me get out of here!"

Seiko's eyes widened, her body frozen as everything unfolded around her. Her eyes followed the flight of the soldier's body as it flew through the air before colliding with a hut, thatching breaking away and raining down upon him. Her eyes darted about, and her breathing had stopped as the townspeople around her began dropping listlessly to the ground. The brightness of the lanterns made it nearly impossible to see any further into the darkness of the night. It left her feeling like a caged rabbit.

She was finally snapped out of her silent reverie as a very large hippogryph landed and raced towards her, bypassing the demon.

Her indigo gaze rose to his own sky lit orbs and he bobbed his head at her, and showed her his flank. It was then that she understood. Nodding quickly, she glanced at the other girl and the man who was eyeing down the frightening demon, the look of near obsession in his eyes put her on edge.

Turning her attention back to the half-beast, she knew that this was probably her last option for escape. Quickly hobbling towards him, she gazed up at him one last time before she gripped onto the elbow joint of his wing and used it to pull herself up onto his back. Her eyes immediately landed on the dark form of a girl curled up close to his nape, obviously asleep. It seemed this animal was acting out on his own accord, and wasn't being commanded by anyone. Her thighs brushed along his flank as she scooted forward so as to make room for anyone else, though she doubted he would be able to carry four people. She looked to the other two and was just about to tell the girl with the darker skin to jump on as well.

~o~

The demon remained still, save for his quick breathing. Whether he seemed to take notice of the humans dying around him or not, he gave no indication as he began to prowl forward, with what seemed to be supreme confidence in his step toward the man with the straw colored hair. Nothing would come between him and what he had come here to achieve.

Raine and Katsu

aine found her grey eyes slowly opening in discomfort as she felt a nudge of someone’s elbow against her back. Her red hair ruffled to the side as she tried to focus, her small ears picking up the screams of men woman and even children alike. The first thing she saw was Katsu smiling down at her with his cyan eyes, it was almost human-like.

Then she saw behind his large head at the people running and screaming, and then before her very eyes people began to explode all around her.
Her body began to shake in fear at first as she tried to remain calm an collect her thoughts, waiting a moment before undoing the belt around her that kept her tied to Katsu so she could turn around and face the person who was also on his rather large back.

What she had seen caused her slight comfort as she took in the form of another younger girl behind her who was almost as confused as she was.
Raine’s first reaction was to smile softly, maybe to help calm the younger girl even though she was pretty on edge herself, and then her eyes darted behind the girls head to a darker looking girl that was running into the middle of the mob towards a tall blond young man.

Although something in her gut told her that she was the one more in danger than anyone else. “W-“ She began before she had found her eyes widening like saucers. Before the blond man, was a Demon that she had never seen before.
It was horrible to even look at. It had no eyes and it seemed to read the surroundings with smell alone, a truly formidable hunter that would be able to track someone down for miles.

Her voice hitched in her throat as she called out to the two of them. “Wait! Don’t let those things get too close! Once they know your scent you will be done for! I’m sure of it!”

Katsu shifted, causing her to almost loose balance before grabbing onto his feathered back.

His face moved back, close to hers as he waited now for some direction. It was after all her who had saved him, so he did admire this small woman for her own bravery.

“My friend here let you on his back so you must be something else.” She spoke softly after shifting the Hippogryph to face the other two, hoping that they would come with her and escape as well.

Her clear eyes studied the young lady that had been sitting on Katsu, her features trying to remain calm as she spoke once more. “Now then, how did this happen?”

Lyern only looked back for a mere moment as the dark-skinned woman ran up to him asking for help on getting out of Yuina, little did she know that he had no intention off leaving for the time being. "Well it's simple really, the black lizards over here were probably looking for food nearby or were stalking the large group of people that formed when the commotion started. The black 'things' as you say might just be luck or maybe it's one of those demons abilities?" said to the dark-skinned woman as he kept staring down the eyeless lizard demon in case it did any sudden movements. He did a long exhale and spoke to the dark-skinned woman again and simply told her "Get on the hippogryph if you want to leave, easiest way to leave really. Even more if I were to be a distraction, seeing as how our friend here is just standing there."

After a brief moment of silence he had noticed the girl had made it on to the hippogryph. All that was left was the woman beside him to get on and the bird would leave, or at least that what would be best since too much weigh wouldn't be the greatest thing to have while escaping. The black lizard demon stepped forward and Lyern tightly gripped his two sword that were no consumed with his dark matter, not one single speck a the purple 'tint' it had at the beginning they were no completely black to the bone.
He raised up the sword's and slashed at the air in a X type of motion so fast his piano black sword's looked like a blur in front of the eye's. He then proceeded to taunt the demon calling at it as if it were a dog.

"Bad boy..well I really have no idea if you are a male whatever you are, but either way I called out to you and you just stay there...bad lizard" spoke Lyern with a hypocritical laugh at the end as he didn't care the slightest about the creature coming to him or not and if it was either a male or female.

Lyern walked a bit to the side and somewhat stabbed the head of the soldier he cut off earlier and then held it up and again called out to the demon.
He then took note of the girl that was sleeping on the hippogryph woke up and was talking to the girl he had 'saved' earlier, he heard the girl that was sleeping that the demons were good at the sense of smell and since they didn't have eye's it was clear that their hearing was bound to be a big asset of them too.
"Girl the one that was sleeping, you and your feathered friend and those two should go now" shouted Lyern remarking his wish for them to leave, be it with or without him. He took five steps forward and then slung the head of the soldier that was stuck at his sword towards the demons head, in hope of either hitting it or seeing it's reflexes in action. As the decapitated head flew spewing the bits of blood it had left and a diminutive amount of flesh as when he staked trough it earlier he had cut up pieces of flesh. Lyern simply smirked as it was nearing the demon who was not too far away from him or the others. He then just stood there surveying the area as he heard a six man group of what soldier breaking trough the door of a shop near the brothel, the had normal armor plating so the must had just been together when the slight problem started. "It's a perfect chance to escape" thought Lyern as they were probably gonna head for the demon or try to help him and the others or better yet become victims in the fight that might happened soon. He sheathed one of his swords making clear his doubt of leaving or fighting the glossy black demons, he awaited if they were going to leave now or ask for his aid to ease their escape.

The nearest two street's from the left and right were not quiet before this happened but due to the black pikes and other structures killing that which was unlucky to be in their spawning place caused the streets to be filled with screams of agony and pain, that was not all it also hit various palces and people besides those on the outside. The streets were filled with blood and bodies which had big enough amount that could be sensed severely by humans and other non-human species sense of smell which was an advantage to Lyern and the group as that would make their scent smell that of the neighboring flesh and blood and not that of their normal smell. Not to mention the fire happening a street away from them to the left, as some shops had lanterns near flammable things on the street. Lyern couldn't pinpoint the exact locations due to the people running in fear and lack of view, but he had noticed he had caused the death of plenty as his dark matter pikes transferred a small portion of the dead humans life force and energy to him.

The Buzoku Hantā paid no mind to the screaming humans surrounding it. As its full focus was on the half demon in front of it. The Buzoku Hantā's grin spread across its face as the half demon called out to it. This half demon was truly and idiot. He obviously had never come into contact with this kind of demon before it seemed, no matter, that only made things easier.

Its incredible scent could pinpoint the half demon's exact location and also the direction in which he was walking toward, the fallen human it had slain. Curiosity piqued, as he sliced off the human's head, the Buzoku Hantā simply knew this as the smell of the human separated into two pieces, the head holding the part of the human with its alcohol scented breath. The half demon then moved toward it, the sound of bone and flesh being cut with with something metallic met the Buzoku Hantā's ears and it hissed slightly.

Soon something else caught its attention as a sudden rushing of air could be heard racing toward it. Due to its lack of vision, its other senses were doubled that of a normal demon, nearly giving it a different way of seeing, though of course it really could not see as how all other creatures did.

Reacting purely on instinct the Buzoku Hantā flattened itself to the cobble stone path, the sound of what ever had been hurled at it rushing past its head. Enraged, it rose to its full height and dashed toward its prey the half demon, breaking the distance between them in the span of a second, intent on finishing this quick as its meal was quickly becoming a nuisance.

Coming face to face with its prey, the Buzoku Hantā quickly changed tactic and darted off to the half demon's right side, his tail whipping around towards his throat, the razor sharp barbs on its tail gleaming in the lantern light as it intended to slit him open. It quickly rose up behind him its mouth bared as it intended to bite down and rip off his head if slicing his throat open didn't' do the trick.

~o~

Seiko's eyes widened in fear as the girl with the red hair informed the man with the straw colored hair, that he had better run before the demon caught whiff of his scent and decided to track him down.

She was about to say something to the girl who was sitting upon the hippogryph before she saw the man with the straw colored hair cut off the head of the soldier and stab it before he quickly shot them a command and hurled the head at the demon as if it were a projectile. She cursed, knowing this would only further piss the demon off, "You heard him, lets take to the sky. We can watch what's happening once we are in the air!" she suggested in a rather frightened voice. She noticed that the black lizard like demon wasn't paying attention to any one besides the one man, though there was not mistaking that it knew of everyone else, but it had chosen to go after him alone. She wondered why this was, was he hiding something that he didn't want anyone else to know? Her eyes widened and then she sighed as she saw him chuck the head of the soldier at the demon. Well whatever it was, he was screwed for sure for doing that. If he was foolish enough to provoke it she knew that it would track him down.

Seiko saw that the girl in front of her was frightened, though she was trying hard to hide it. Taking in a deep breath, she decided to respond to this red haired girl,"Um, well. What do you mean what happened? Didn't you see the demon attack-" she paused, "wait. Were you honestly asleep that whole time? Even flying here?" Seiko's eyes widened in disbelief.

She watched as the girl with the dark colored skin, took some sense and abandoned hiding behind the man, in favor of hiding inside one of the many pubs that lined the streets. Good at least she's safe.

aine watched the young girl carefully before she determined for sure that this was not one of her most elaborate dreams and the demon standing before all of them, and the humans dyeing on either side were all in fact real. Her breath caught in her throat at first as the girl suddenly faced her and demanded that they take off into the sky.

Her first reaction, however; was like a deer caught in headlights as she watched the stupid man throw a human head at the creature. That was enough to condemn his fate. Never in her life, has she seen anyone so stupid yet so daring, all at once.

It was then that the young girls voice struck her ears once more as she realised that Raine had indeed been asleep the entire time beforehand.
Raine felt the heat in her face as she blushed furiously, an expression of pure embarrassment swept over her features before she stammered. “I-it’s a bad habit of mine…to sleep through important things…! I-I just want to know what’s going on… But if Katsu trusts you then… then I guess you’re ok."

She sharply gazed over her shoulder, trying to regain her composure; which would have worked if Katsu was not looking at her with his head upside-down, his cyan eyes blinking at her mockingly.

Raine huffed softly, her patience thinning before she decided taking to the skies was a good enough plan for now. They could always talk once in a safe enough distance and besides, she needed the cool air to calm her spirits.

“Katsu… fly.” She spoke softly, not really needing to as he was already in the midst of taking off; his huge rust colored wings flapping rapidly before they were airborne. “Please hold on tightly to me, or if you want I can use this strap to secure you to me, so you won’t fall.” Her features brightened as she smiled softly, showing off the large belt she carried around with her.

She then noticed the demon begin to attack the man, but something told her he might be ok. At least Katsu was calm about it.
“Also, would you like to watch…? Is that man of importance to you?” She asked absent-mindedly. “We could just fly off if you want, I could drop you off in a nearby village, if you like.”

Lyern smirked when he saw the creature lower itself to the floor feeling the severed head hurling towards it, with that he'd hope to accomplish upsetting the demon so it'd be less cunning on its reason and attack him bluntly without thinking. He did accomplish the feat which he aimed for, the demon had reacted out of pure anger and sliced the distance between both of them faster then what one would wish, specially since speed was not the strongest point on his behalf, he wasn't the slowest but wasn't the fastest either. He bolted his sword up to block the demon's incoming tail attack and did so but suffered three cuts near his collar bone in less then a fraction of a second even has he manage to stop most of the attack. He saw the demon dash to the side and behind him fangs baring, there wasn't anyway he could reach with his sword in time so he tried to roundhouse kick the demon with more then human strength.

When he looked back as he did the roundhouse he saw the girl he had some-what saved eyes as wide as they could be and then heard her say for them to take off and the dark-skinned woman go inside of on the buildings near them.
He thought about many things in those few seconds trying to roundhouse kick the demon, he thought he could avoid the fight but he knew the demon was just going to track him sooner or later.
