Puzzles. Of course there were puzzles. Moure looked over Roch's shoulder as the reaper got the paper from the secretary. Why did it have to be numbers? "How do we get four digits from six?" Moure said, staring at the numbers while Roch waved them about.
Roch was right though. If someone could figure this out in their group, it'd probably be Edel. Numbers weren't really his thing.

Riley leaned over Jericho's shoulder to look at the numbers. The first test is a riddle? She murmured thoughtfully. A test of wits. She would normally be pleased with that, but her current.. situation, had her off her game lately. She memorized the six digits, and scratched her neck idly.
I'm.. going.. to.. go take a hot shower and think that over. She announced, quite suddenly. Leaving the event so soon? It helps me think. I will return soon enough.
She jogged off to the gym showers without waiting for any sort of confirmation.

Jericho watched as Riley went off towards the showers before staring down at the slip of paper. He was trying to figure out how to go about this, but quite frankly, he had no clue. And it was pissing him off quite a bit.
"Tiamat's multicolored flaming s**t!" he cried while grasping the slip. In his anger, he wasn't really paying attention to how much heat was going to his hands. First came a little bit of smoke, and then he realized that the clue slip was now burning.
It was too late now though to save it.
"JACKING HELL!" he roared before breathing fire upwards out of frustration.

Ulmuka's familiar head bobbed above the gathered crowds of students. People slowly grouped up, taking their clues and huddling for discussion. He'd only met Merope once before meeting him at the signups but the others he was much more familiar with. The strix spotted several pink heads in the crowd but only one of them was that particular shade that said it was Amarus. The girl was already clutching their clue and he bobbled with excitement. "Oh hello Amarus!" He waggled his fingers. "I will keep an eye out for the others." He'd seen it was numbers and that was not a strong point for the bird-boil.

It wasn't unusual for Lucien to be unsure of what he was doing, but at least he knew who he was doing it with this time. He was here with Israfel... and some other people. Well, he recognized Shehk from that one time a long time ago and he could vaguely recall Siddie from one of his classes. The last member of their team was unknown to Lucien but he had a friendly face on. He certainly looked forward to meeting them, even if the chances of him enjoying the outcome of his trial was unlikely.
"A puzzle?" He questioned curiously, definitely not very familiar with the idea.

Aurian peered at the riddle over Vaith's shoulder. Her face fell as she was beseiged by flashbacks to the school's island trip. "Oh dear," she said. "I wasn't very good at these last time." Let's see, what had been some of the tricks from last time? She ran through a few in her head but none made sense. Perhaps she should check them with the others to be sure... But Aurian closed her mouth as soon as she opened it, eyeing the other teams around them. Maybe not things to talk about in public, as part of a contest. "Should we go somewhere more quiet?" she asked the others.

Riley left them and Junko kind of just...watched. Why did she need a hot shower..? If they helped Riley then should they all take hot showers? Junko looked from the exit, to Jericho, to Malodore and finally the ghoul with the...green bits... ... Who was she? How was she even on their team? Junko slowly turned back to the puzzle just as Jericho set it on fire. "JERICHO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?"

It didn't matter. When Riley returned, several short minutes later, she was warm to the touch, fully covered in her turtleneck and pants as usual, and looking more like herself than ever. When she reached out for the clue again, she stopped short, and looked up at Jericho for a moment. Then she patted his cheek, and turned to Junko.
Get us a piece of paper and a pen, please. She practically growled. We have figured it out.
.. That was some shower.

Nuru watched Zar come back with the paper and just frowned at it. Numbers? Nuru doesn't understand no Jacking numbers.
All he could do was frown helplessly at his teammates. Thinking was not his strong point.

Herryk was there.
Being cranky.
Probably scowling.
Most likely with his arms crossed over his chest.
Looking like he'd rather be anywhere but here.

JD waited with his other teammates as their 'representative' went to fetch the clue. He did his best to look bored.
It wasn't hard.
"Maybe we should take this somewhere private," he suggested, eyeing the other students suspiciously. He didn't want to apply the full brunt of his artistic genius and accidentally give something away.

Yay Riley was back! But the paper was destroyed! But Riley was back! But...but the clue! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
...Oh. Well then.
"O-okay!" Junko then ran off. She quickly returned with an entire notebook and a snake pen, holding them out for Riley. "You really figured it out..?"

Night peeked over the other shoulder of Vaith's before wrinkling his nose and sighing.
"Bro...I am no good at riddles. I'm a cat."
He sighed as he looked over at Aurian before smiling. "Spookies where ever we go?" His stomach growled before he thought better, "You know...for brain power. Cause this seems like it'd take a bit."

"We have set the clue on fire... what does it look like?" he snapped with a huff. It wasn't intentional, but that was definitely what happened. Grumbling, he crossed his arms until Riley returned.
"What? You have?" Jericho blinked before handing over the goods.
Then again, he supposed he shouldn't question a jacking mindflayer when it came to things dealing with wits.

The dragon's tail twitched, his eyes narrowed as he stood with his arms crossed. Horsemen trials, sure, nothing involving the horsemen could go terribly wrong for them could it. Right, and the island 'field trip' had been a charming vacation of rain clouds and spider webs. Someone remind him why he had signed up for this again? He was beginning to wonder. And if he hadn't been before, he was even more so now. A clue, a clue to what? A riddle? Oh, great, because that had gone SO well the last time. Hmph, there had better not be a damn portal running on windows here! Well then, he supposed it was time to find his group, they'd have to work together if they wanted to get through this. He looked around, thinking he spotted a familiar face, or rather a familiar serpent. Now to find the others.
