The idea of not walking Alexander back to his room was not something that he really wanted to consider. But his bed, as basic and lumpy as it was, seemed to be whispering to him seductively, while Alexander was telling him it as fine to just stay there.
The final decision was with Alexander's next question. Of course, the bag of ties. Which Yin had completely forgotten about. Feeling rather useless he darted back into the room to get the bag, just now realizing that he had never looked at them like he had promised. "You are probably right," he told him as he stepped into the hallway and passed over the bag. "If you do not mind I shall just walk you to the door this evening." That seemed like a fair compromise to Yin, because it would be rude to simply leave him to not walk him at least partway.
He cuddled the warm pet to his chest as they began down the hallway. "I apologize for not looking at your ties after you came all the way to my room. Perhaps I could look at them later?" He really had absolutely no interest in them, beyond that they were important to the zomboil. But he could try on that front as well.

Alex didn't really mind that he hadn't gotten to show Yin his new ties. He had a feeling that the weremantis didn't quite appreciate them on the same level that he did. But, really, it was the thought that counted and he appreciated every effort Yin was making. He grabbed the bag of ties from Yin, and, realising he wouldn't be able to use his skateboard while holding the vaisel in his arms, slipped his back pack off once again to shove both the skateboard and the bag of ties inside, before zipping it back up as far as it would go and sliding it back over his shoulders.
"To the door will be just fine." He agreed, then began walking along beside Yin, hands free from any encumbrance.
"It's no big deal." He shrugged in response to the ties, "Of course I'm happy to show them to you if you want, but it won't hurt my feelings if you say no, you know?" He looked over to smile at Yin, and reached over to pet the small fluffy white vaisel in the weremantis's arms.
"What are your plans for tomorrow?" He asked as they continued along, trying to make small talk.

This delectable little kit smelled wonderful in his arms, and she was rather comfortable in his arms, though the heat really just made him want to go crawl into his bed. He could only hope that Fei was this warm. "Well, perhaps you could wear your new ones each day until I see them all?" That could be rather painless, though he'd have to try to remember to actually pay attention to the ties that Alexander was wearing. He could probably manage that, though it would not be precisely interesting.
They had made it down the stairs finally, and Alexander's question made his brain try to recall if he had anything special planned. "I believe it is just a usual day tomorrow, there is nothing special planned that I can recall. Do you have anything in particular to do tomorrow?" He paused for a moment before adding, "and would you like to join me for lunch again in the cafeteria?" They seemed to be eating together at lunch more often than not, but he still felt it best to ask in case the zomboil was not interested.

Alex chuckled a little, still unconvinced that Yin actually cared about his ties that much, but still, again, appreciating the effort Yin was making. "Deal." He answered simply, though he was pretty sure he could wear any tie he wanted out of his collection for the next week and Yin wouldn't know the difference.
A usual day...Well, Alex hadn't really expected much less. He'd probably go to the gym early and watch Yin train as he had been doing just about every morning since they became 'bonded'. Though watching Yin train, while interesting, and strangely appealing at times, could at other times get quite boring. He might have to start bringing a book or homework to study. As for if Alex had anything in particular planned...well, most of anything he might have decided to do would have cost him money, something he was currently lacking since purchasing the vaisels.
"Not really, no, but lunch sounds great." He answered, "Same time as usual?" he stopped, turning to the weremantis now that they had reached the doors and holding out his hands to take the silverwing vaisel away from him. "And if you want to do anything after school too, even just hanging out, I've really got nothing planned. We can get the kits together again, maybe?"

Yin did not care that much. He really did not. And indeed, Alexander could pretty much wear anything and have it look new to the mantodae.
"Mmhmm," he hummed in assent, not really wanting to talk because he was tired. Same time? He could remember that. "We can discuss it at lunch," he reminded him as he made sure that the zomboil had the vaisel before really letting go of her. "But I am sure that Fei would be happy to see your ghoul again."
He gave the zomboil a small smile, though his exhaustion was clearly visible. "Thank you Alexander. For thinking to acquire a guard for Princess Eva and for purchasing him for me." Perhaps some day he would be able to repay Alexander for all that he had done for him so far.

They'd reached that awkward moment (well, it always felt awkward to Alex) where it was time to part ways again. Alex always felt like there was something he should do before leaving, but again, his nerves seemed to be getting the best of him and if he stood here for too long without doing anything at all it was just going to increase the awkwardness (in his head) and ohdearjack why was everything always so hard? He knew what he wanted to do, what his instincts were always telling him to do but....no, he didn't think Yin was ready yet.
He gathered up the more-then-just-normally-warm vaisel in his arms, moving her to be gripped with one hand. She seemed to cling to him, though she was peering around curiously, tail flicking. She may have been looking for the other vaisel, confused as to why they were being separated. "It was really nothing Yin. If you ever need anything, just ask." He gave the weremantis a smile with a soft look in his eyes, the one full fondness that he held in reserve only for YIn.
Before the mantodae could leave, and in a split second decision on Alex's part, he reached out to slide a cool hand around YIn's to give it a soft sqeeze. "Good night Yin. Rest well." He said, before releasing him. With the small smile and soft look still on his face he turned to leave the monster dorms and head back to his room.

Yin was blissfully unconcerned with any potential awkwardness that Alexander might have been worried about. At least he was until Alexander was giving him that look he sometimes got, the one that Yin was not really sure what it meant, but he liked it. And it was his look. But it was simply something that he did not know how to react to, so he simply did not think about it too much.
He was just about to go open the door for Alexander when the zomboil's hand slid around his. It reminded him of when he put his hand on Yin's shoulder, though oddly more personal, and he had no idea as to what to actually do. But he did not mind it. Not since Alexander was the one who had done it. "Good night Alexander," he told the zomboil as he left before heading back to his room to collapse into sleep.
