Rosie didn't say anything as their voices seemed to come closer, her eyebrows arching lightly when they seemed to me in something of an awkward bind, one of them kept sneezing.
She glanced over at Luke, with a smile that read sympathy for that other person.
"They sound like they need help." she spoke, with a little giggle, then started over to see if she couldn't find the two other people

"Heh, no kidding," Luke replied, following after Rosie. He didn't know if 'help' was it, exactly, but they definitely seemed to need something if they were flailing around in the brush like that. He paused to look over his shoulder as the white and green Pidgeot called questioningly after him, lingering only long enough to tell her, "Just wait there, we're not going far," before continuing alongside his companion.

The grass parted for two boys in their late teens, one sneezing and both arguing. One was lanky and ginger haired, the other a brunette with a heavy smattering of freckles. Both had Pokeballs at their waists to mark them as trainers, and both were in t-shirts and jeans with the kind of fading and battering that cost a fortune in high-end clothes shops. These two had gone the DIY approach.

"What do you mean, you think?" the ginger one was saying. "Don't you know?"

The other one was wiped at his eyes. "I dow I'b allergig to id. I don't dow whad id loogs like."

"Maybe we should hold stuff to your face and see when you-"

"HAAAGHFNGH!"

"..sneeze." The redhead looked up and saw Rosie and Luke. "Oh. Uh.. uh.. hey.. there." He elbowed his companion in the side and grinned. "Didn't think we'd run into anyone. You guys out training?"

fingerless gloved hands slipped through her down wall of brush and grass, moving the foliage away to allow her and Luke to pass through,
Though it didn't take them long to find the two other trainers who were talking and sneezing.

Rosie greeted them with a genuine smile, glancing over at Luke before she stepped out out into the grass.
"Hello, We didn't think we would run into anyone either," She admitted, followed with a nod to confirm that they were training.
"Yes we are, though we're taking a short break, You too?"

They both looked around her and Luke's age, glancing between the two boys, though she paused on the freckled boy who seemed to be reacting to something in the wilderness.

He followed closely, shrugging away from the brush that sought to swallow them up, and he lingered slightly behind Rosie when they had cleared the grass and faced the pair of strangers. Green eyes scrutinized them critically. One of them was a regular mess; that was pretty unfortunate. To think that something as inconsequential as wild weeds could cause that kind of reaction.

Unsure how exactly he was expected to act in a situation such as this, Luke left the charismatic greeting to Rosie - especially since she already seemed to have to it underway.

The lanky one blinked and looked away from the crests of the Pigeot, visible over the tops of the grass. "Uhh.. kinda."

"We god lost," the freckled one stopped sneezing long enough to add.

"'Cept we ran into this stuff that gave him a fit, and we don't have any flying types to guide us out." The first boy turned his hands palm-up in a helpless gesture.

She looked between them in turn as they explained their situation.
"Oh, well that's alright, I know that the city can't be to far from here." She added.
"Here, bring up your maps on your gear, I'll show you where we are."

She offered, reaching to to pull her own c-gear to pull up the map of the forest, as she did so she walked over to them with her eyes on her tech.

Luke lingered near the grass as Rosie advanced, considering their location himself. They hadn't gotten too terribly far from the city - or had they? It was hard to reconcile the speed of flying versus walking. The one boy's comment on flying-types drew a small inclination of his head, thoughts wandering to the nearby Perdy and Leste. "What do you mean about flying-types?" he asked, passingly curious. If they just walked in a straight line, they'd eventually find their way out, right? Well, either way, Rosie was already pulling up a map, so it didn't matter all that much.

"Well, I mean.." the upright one faltered. "Thought they could go up and look for the best way out.. uh.." His eyes darted towards Rosie at the question of the C-Gear.

"I tol' you dis woulbn' werg," his doubled-up companion spoke up from somewhere near knee-level. "Led's jus-"

"Dewott! Ready a Razor Shell on the trainers!" The first teen pointed dramatically. A bright burst of light from his hip became a bipedal blue otter which brandished a pair of shells like battle fans.

"Yeagh. Dat."

Rosie was just a couple of steps in front of them when the one who was hunched over said something that caused Rosie to pause and give him a confused look,
Before she knew it there was suddenly a pokemon out and a Razor Shell attack was being thrown at them.

Her eyes widened in surprise, and she staggered backwards trying to avoid the attack, but getting hit in the arm that she threw up in front of her in surprise.
"Ow! wait!" She told them "What are you-"
she paused, and stared.
It couldn't be.

They were acting weird. As suspicious as it was, Luke probably should have been less surprised when they were suddenly under attack. In only a few beats, there was some otter-looking thing slinging a shell around, and Rosie was reeling backwards in an effort to dodge-- She was hit. Perhaps it wasn't a serious blow, but that wasn't what registered in his thoughts. All that took hold was the fact that these bastards were attacking his friend, and that was exactly the sort of thing he had sworn not to allow again. Too late to interrupt the path of the Razor Shell, Luke drew his sword from its sheath, brandishing it stiffly. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He didn't want to hurt them. He'd never wanted to hurt anyone, no matter what airs he put on. He really hoped he wouldn't end up hurting them.

But if that would prevent them from hurting Rosie... Damn it. He glared, green eyes trained on the offenders even as he spoke to his companion, "You okay?" The realization that Rosie was beginning to reach had yet to even begin to dawn on him.

"Whoa, he's got a sword. They didn't say anything about swords!" "Jus' geddaway frob it!" The pair retreated several feet; the one stopped sneezing long enough to locate one of his own Pokeballs.

("Now what? D'you want to do the motto?" "Doh, jus' keeb attagink! Geodu', Steald' Rog!")

The soccer ball sized Pokemon grunted and flexed. The ground rumbled and split, breaking off chunks of sod. Sharp stones jutted up from the cracks and formed a floating ring of prairie bedrock around Rosie, Luke and the Dewott.

The healthy teen crossed his arms and smirked. "Now, hand over your Pokemon. You can start with those Pidgeot."

Rosie held her arm where the attack had hit her, some blood seeping down from the bladed attack that had mostly grazed her.
She didn't seem very concerned with it, as her surprised eyes met Luke and his sword. With a grace and agility granted to her from her dancing, Rosie took the opportunity the other boys did to retreated back by Luke, when they found themselves suddenly surrounded by large floating rocks.

Wide blue eyes flashed between the rocks in surprise before she found the two boys again.
And their demand rang out through the ring of boulders.
"Luke, they're Team Rocket." She gasped, her hands clenching suddenly, She had too many encounters with them, and they were always the same, there was no doubt in her mind.
"No!" She called back to them. "Please, stop this now, or you will force us to defend ourselves." Her request sounded genuine, like she honestly didn't want to hurt these two.

Perdy was on his feet, looking startled as his trainer and Luke were surrounded by the Geodude's attack.
Rosie seemed to be talking to them, He spread his wings, to get ready to take to the sky at her order.

The brandish earned them some distance; that was all he really hoped for at the moment. He gladly took point in their small formation, positioning himself for ease of defense. The more he thought about actually attacking, the more nervous he got. He couldn't falter now, though. This was what they'd been working so hard for, and for so long: so they wouldn't have to be afraid.

He remained a steadfast sentinel as the stones surrounded them. Trapping them, apparently. Making some kind of vague arena. It put them at a disadvantage, but it wasn't insurmountable. He narrowed his eyes at Rosie's words. He could have guessed as much. Should have, even, but that wasn't the most important issue here. Passingly Luke realized that this was his first real encounter with the organization apart from his run-in with Asch months prior. They couldn't really lose, right? Of course not. Envisioning victory was the first step to seizing; that was one of Master Van's lessons.

"We're not gonna back down," Luke said, adding his own resolution to Rosie's request. Really, did they expect them to just drop everything and hand over all their pokeballs while prostrating themselves for mercy?

Leste quickly recovered from her lingering fatigue at the sounds of the nearby budding skirmish, joining Perdy with sharp eyes glaring in their trainers' direction. She emitted several low, angry sounds but otherwise restrained herself from action, waiting impatiently for her trainer's call.
