"Right..." To what that comment was aimed, well, it wasn't too clear. Maybe even Elik himself did not know.

Really, it almost seemed like there was nothing he could do. He linged in the hug just a bit longer than he usually would have, then finally nodded. "You're right. I don't want her to worry."

And so, he turned to go back inside, jar in hands.

Whisteria followed him inside, seeming a bit distracted by her own thoughts, but was polite nonetheless. "Just set it in the kitchen please, then go relax. I'll take care of the rest."

Happily oblivious to the serious conversation that had been taking place outside, Adi had used her time alone to scoot ever closer to the rest of the kittens and their mother. Much longer and she might have successfully insinuated herself into the pile.

"What's that?" she asked, blinking at the jar Elik carried.

It was obvious that Adi was perhaps one of the few things able to lift Elik's spirits - he did seem to ease up a little bit when he saw the werewolf having moved to try to fusion herself with the kitten pile.

"You'll need to be careful later, less she tries to wriggle away with one of the kittens." Came the amused reply, before he switched languages with an ease he had not quite had before he had left.

"That'd be my aunt's kimchi. You're quite a lucky girl to get to try it, Adi. I don't know of a more delicious one across all creation." He said, amused, before going to the kitchen to put the jar there as requested.

"Duly noted. Though they will need homes eventually, once they are old enough to leave Typala." Whisteria chuckled at Adi, but the change in Elik's mood didn't go unnoticed either. "Typala might seem a little grumpy, but she might let you pet her if she can sniff your hand first."

With that she was off into the kitchen to take care of the remainder of dinner.

"What's kimchi?" She'd never heard of whatever that was before! So whatever was in the jar was still a mystery to her. At Whisteria's suggestion, she put her hand out for the older cat to sniff.

Hm, good question. Should he tell her ? He'd seen picky humans shy away the second the words fermented vegetables entered the equation, and well, he wanted Adi to at least try it first. But she also didn't seem the picky sort...

"You'll see." He finally settled on teasing her, as he sat on the floor again, trying to lure one of the kittens back to him.

Typala inclined her head, sniffing the wolf-girl's hand tentatively before butting her nose against it. Her usual sign that petting was acceptable.

It took a little bit for Whisteria to come out of the kitchen, balancing a fair sized tray on one hand and carrying a pitcher in the other. "I figured fruit, kimchi and bread would be good since you have probably had quite a trip." She carefully set both down on a small table, returning to the kitchen to fetch small bowls and cups and setting them down beside the tray.

"You two are guests, so make up your bowls first."

Adi had stuck her tongue out at Elik when he refused to tell her what kimchi was, but was quickly distracted by Typala's agreeable reaction. She was still scritching away when Whisteria returned. Eager for an answer to the mystery of kimchi, she returned Ishura to her mother and hopped up to investigate.

She was surprised to see that it was vegetables, and the puzzlement showed on her face. She'd thought it would be something more...more...actually, she wasn't sure. Regardless, she wasted no time in making up her bowl, although unlike the last time she'd eaten with Elik, didn't immediately begin stuffing her face. She wasn't quite as hungry this time, for one, and for another, she was at someone else's house! She remembered manners, sometimes.

"It looks good." She sniffed a little, curious.

Elik was clearly amused at Adi's reaction, and it showed. See, not telling her had been completely and utterly worth it !

He let her go first, then finally did make up his own bowls once the werewolf was done. Where she was curious, he was eager - really, it had been so long since he'd had his mother's cooking !

Once the two had taken their portions the druidess made up her own little bowl and went to settle herself on the floor, leaning against Typala's back.

"Enjoy you two, if you decide you want more its in the kitchen."

Even when she wasn't outright wolfing it down, Adi was a fast eater. After all, the faster she ate, the faster she could talk! Her tail wagged a bit while she ate, an obvious sign of enjoyment. Really, she liked most food that wasn't completely bizarre.

"Do you think I can look around a little later?" she asked hopefully once she'd finished, canting her ears just so to combine with her wagging tail in a 'puppy eyes' look. She wanted to go see stuff, and play with those kids, and...and everything!

"I don't see why not." Elik said, in between two spoonfuls. Really, Adi had been extremely patient, following him wherever he went while there had been so many things graping at her attention ! And, really, now that Meridia was aware, no one in the town would harm her, he was certain. Stare, maybe, but that would be hard to avoid.

"Don't leave the town without me, through. I don't want you to end up lost." It was hard to get lost in Darnassus proper, where all the main paths converged toward the center, so Adi could explore that to her heart's content.

Whisteria just kept her silence and ate for now, just listening to the two of them. She alone could think of hundreds of places Adi could get lost if she went outside the city on her own. No doubt Elik would be able to come up with even more.

Yes! Her ears perked back up, and her tail wagged a little harder. She was finally going to get to explore! A little, anyway. "I've never gotten lost," she declared, but still accepted that she might as well wait to go outside the city with Elik. "But that's okay. I'm sure there's lots to do here, so I'll wait."
