Shun nodded again. In fact, he had completed it on his first try, though he didn't mention this. He wasn't really one to brag. "Keeping a cool head is very important. Don't get too anxious. If you do, try to take a moment to calm down and clear your head. Rushing to get things done will likely lead to mistakes. Keep an eye out for potential hiding places as well."

If Shun had mentioned he'd passed it on his first try, Shehk would have felt like a failure by comparison. She was on try five-billion, she felt like.
"That sounds like sound-advice to me. I'll work on that." she nodded. Some of it was stuff she'd..known, but hadn't really put too much active effort into, but made a mental note to take it slower the next time anyways. "You must be pretty quiet, though. I'm impressed, you'll be making people nervous with your sneaking skills." It was a sort of ironic throw-back to the previous discussion about silence and context.

"It's one thing I've been training on even before enrolling here I suppose you could say," he shrugged. The comment on making others nervous amused him somewhat, though as usual Shun didn't smile at it or anything that really showed it. "Hopefully I'll be doing more than just making others nervous when the time really calls for the skill."It would be something to say in the least, to be able to stealthily take down hunters, leaving them worried and frightened for what might happened next. He likely had a long way to go before that, though.

"Well, at least you know you've practiced it enough to pass through a challenge where a lot of noise is possible." It seemed like the entire forest was so silent that only your feet could be heard in it, which had just made it that much more difficult for her.
"I'm sure you'll achieve whatever your...goal..might be..." The implied tone in her voice was clear enough : She wasn't going to assume anything, but definitely had an ..idea of sorts, really. Her own fangs were aching for human-blood out of hunger, she imagined others were after it for different reasons.
She took another glance around, seeking out the lost partner to Shun again, but not noticing them at that time. "Hmmmmm, I really wonder where it is your match went off to."

"That would be ideal," Shun said quietly. Seeking fights wasn't really something he did typically, but there was a hunter or two that he did have a grudge against currently. That, and he had a strong feeling he wasn't going to be rid of them anytime soon. As the topic switched, he glanced around to try and spot where his partner might be. However, he didn't even know who it was, so looking about didn't help all too much. "A good question. I suppose it's possible they don't know who they're supposed to meet with."

"That's possible." Shehk agreed, but hadn't they been told table numbers? She was pretty sure the tables were numbered properly so that shouldn't have been a problem, really. "Do you want me to go check and see if I can find them for you?" she offered.

"If you wish. It is not a big deal either way for me. As one of the hosts, I figure you may have other matters to attend to anyway," Shun replied. For now he was content to be on his own. A part of him had wondered how he managed to sign up for something like this in the first place. Perhaps he should have asked prior to putting his name in. He didn't feel like he needed to know more people. Nevermind what his player felt.

"Mmm, I don't mind either way. I'm here to make sure everybody is having a nice time." she answered with a smile, "But I think I'm going to go make sure your partner hasn't gotten lost somewhere. If I can't find them, I'll come back." It seemed like a safe plan in Shehk's head, waving to Shun as she took her leave of him.
He looked about ready to go somewhere else as it was too, but a little idle chatter never hurt anybody.
Plus she really needed to go snoop for blood in the concessions.

She'd only the vaguest sense that something was happening when her name appeared on the blackboard. It was accompanied by some squiggles that Am struggled to read. And struggled. And struggled. "This a stupid name," she growled in frustration, at least recognizing that it was a name. "Shuuu. Nnn? Shuuuuuh..." In fact, by the time she managed to finish, Am realized that she was all alone at the blackboard, and her peers had wandered away-- presumedly to find their own squiggles. She punched the blackboard, listening to it clatter in satisfying agony, before stomping off, intent on finding who the jacking name belonged to. The fact that Am was late flew right over her head. It wasn't her fault, after all, that Shun had such a hard and stupid name. In fact, Am might think he deserved it-- she stomped with heavy scaled feet all the way down to Table Five, where she paused a moment, trying to see if there were any other unpaired people at the tables. She couldn't see, so she just decided the poor sap at this table was as good as any. Am growled, looking down at Shun's blobby form, before jabbing a clawed finger right at his chest. "You Shoon?" she demanded.

With Shehk leaving, Shun just relaxed once more, idly waiting. After a little more time passed, he soon realized someone else was coming on by. Glancing over, he saw a rather disgruntled looking monster, twitching as she jabbed him in the chest with her finger.
She had also said his name a little oddly. It was close. At least she hadn't said it like to 'shun' something. That was always a little irritating to deal with.
"Yes. I'm Shun. I'm guessing you're my partner then?" he asked before attempting to move her hand away from him.

Am's mouth-- the only visible part beneath her hair-- frowned. Her ears lowered. The tip of her heavy tail was twitching with inner irritation.
"Ya," she said. Her shaggy head looked down, and stared at the chair for a few seconds, before she realized that she could sit in it. Whether or not she recognized it as a chair was a mystery.
Am plopped down gracelessly in her seat, sprawling into Shun's personal space. "You fancy," she grumbled. "What you be?"
The faintest gleam of red could be seen through the shaggy mane on Am's head, as though she were trying to squint to see what Shun was-- to her, he looked like a series of colorful blobs.

Hm. No name given back in return. Judging how everything had gone so far, this meeting was going to be... interesting to say in the very least.
"I'm a reaper. Grim reaper to be exact. And exactly who or what are you?"
Shun got that she was a monster, but he was having trouble figuring out what exactly. Also, that faint gleam of red he caught behind her hair had him wondering how well she could see with her eyes covered like that. If only he knew just how poor her vision was here.

"Uhh..." she stared at Shun for a moment. Reaper? Grim reaper? Well, he didn't look like food, so Am supposed he was all right. He was kind of charming, in a way...
Her ears perked back up. "Am," she declared proudly, pointing to herself. She smiled to display her teeth. "Ammut."
It had taken her quite a while to learn her species' proper name-- and it was something to be puffed up about now. Especially now that she had come to school and could flash it around. "Like to eat. Hearts."
Am shoved her hand inside her hoodie pocket suddenly, and pulled out her student pin, displaying it to Shun as proof.

Steffani laughed a little at Enzo, before looking to see where the little rat had wandered. And with what timing! She reached down to pick up the plate from the rat's back, grinning. "At least they listen sometimes." She offered, entertained as she took a cookie and slid the tray over to offer one to Enzo. "Thanks."
"Yeah," She replied after biting into the cookie, nodding a bit. "You know, it's funny, I haven't met any Patchworks either. Not without my creator. At least, not until tonight. I met this guy, Christof? Before." She glanced around briefly, but returned her gaze to Enzo. "A lotta monsters just think I'm a zombie." She smirked a little.
At his inquiry, she tried to not look sheepish. "I haven't lost one of my limbs." Oh, that was a dirty rotten lie. "...lately." She cleared her throat. "My stitches are pretty tight, but ocassionally they, uh... Pop." Or come loose. Or something knocks her head off.
You know, the plight of the Stitched. "But I'm good at putting my limbs back on." She grinned. "Sewin's a specialty." She glanced back at Boss, curious. "So you have a giant, uh, bass, followin' you around." She tilted her head. "Are you a musician or somethin'?"

Glancing down at the pin which looked like it was a heart with a bite taken out of it, Shun soon focused his attention back to Am. He vaguely recalled hearing about the ammut before, though he didn't really know much of them. But she had explained a little of her kind anyway. An eater of hearts.
"Well there's certainly plenty of hearts around this time of year," he mused while looking towards the refreshments table. There were the heart shaped balloons and he had a pretty good feeling, some of the foods were made to look that way as well.
Normally he might have fallen silent there, but he figured he may as well ask something in return now that she was here.
"I take it you're new to the school. Haven't had much trouble have you?" he asked. It might be a good idea to gauge what experiences the new kids have had so far.. regarding certain issues.
