Amrita didn't like that answer, but it was that answer that also kept her quiet on her worries; he might have kissed her back - several times - but she didn't think she was what he wanted. Why would she be? She wasn't commanding, in fact she hated it when scarelings ordered him around, not to mention the fiasco shortly after telling him what she thought of his Master. Granted, at the time, she didn't quite know what she was talking about. And then there was...someone else.
"Th-thanks...?" She murmured, though she didn't sound convinced. Oh how she wanted to go back to a child's body, just so she wouldn't have to deal with any of this... The hug was returned and she sighed as though relieving herself of a whole shoulder load of worries.
"I don't mind! Really! Please stay." If he didn't, she'd probably go find Christof, and that wasn't something she wanted to do right now, either. "Are you tired? Did you want the bed? You can have it! I...I usually sleep..." A vague gesture was given towards the floor.

Calder peered over the bed at the floor at looked back at the ghoul. "But I don't want to sleep on a bed alone." OnO
Reaching over, he bundled up some blankets and threw them on the floor below. "I usually sleep on the floor. I don't have a bed in my dorm. Well, I have a tub, but.." He doubted anyone wanted to sleep with him under water. Did Undeads get soggy? It was probably too much to ask her to sleep in a tub with him. "The only time I sleep on a bed is when I'm over at Barth's, but that's only because I like sleeping with company, not because he has a bed." The bed made it nice, but no pillow or blanket could give him the comfort the sloth demon provided.
"I'll sleep on the floor with you." That declared, Calder slid off the bed and started to spread the blankets out for them.

The look she gave Calder was rather incredulous. Someone else...slept on the floor?! Really?! She all but cheered when he started setting up the blankets on the floor.
"Um...I...I've only slept with Christof." Amrita admitted, more excited than shy about this detail; like the whole kissing thing, she was off in her own little world on the entire subject. "But...I've never slept in a tub! I don't have one." Being undead meant a certain lack of that sort of thing...not that she ever gave it that much thought.
"Is it comfortable?" She was curious now as she got off the bed to help him set up their little pile of blankets on the ground. "And um, don't take this the wrong way 'cause I do really, really want the company, but...Why didn't you go sleep with Barth?"

"Well, I don't have tubs where I live either. Our house is on top of a river, but the tub is nice because I can fill it up with water. There is a pond in my room, but sometimes it just doesn't get deep enough for me to feel comfortable. I like being submerged, but I don't like sleeping alone in the back of the Monster dorms where the swamp is. Other times I sleep on the ground. Of course, my floor is dirt and moss. These floors..." He tapped the hardwood. "...don't do anything for the bones." He spread the blankets out, and took one for him and Amrita to share. Calder knew from hugging Christof that he tended to be cooler than most, and he wondered if undeads were actually happier being cold or if he liked being warm.
"I like sleeping with Barth because I can't really sleep that well alone. I've always slept with someone when growing up. If I was by myself, I'd only sleep for a few minutes here and there. I can't go fully asleep unless I know I'm somewhere that's locked tight, like my dorm, and even then that took me a while. When I'm with someone else, I feel safer." He paused as he thought of Barth. "..he's also very soft and warm. He smells nice too." He grinned, a little flustered admitting that to her. "Sometimes when we're in bed, his beard brushes my neck and makes me giggle. I'm glad it doesn't wake him up."

"They don't?" Grey eyes peered down at the floor. Floors were bad for bones? These actually were pretty comfortable though, at least to her. She mulled over the situation for a moment before looking up at the boil. "I sleep on concrete...is that bad?" Well, it was concrete with a layer of dirt from the tree roots that burst through the walls, but mostly concrete.
"Could...sleep in the tub, i-if you wanted." She was all for making him comfortable, it sounded like he had a hard time sleeping no matter what. "I just...don't like beds. Too squishy." But certain beds she would put up with, like Christof's or Lizzy's. "And um, if you ever want to, you can sleep in my room? It's in the freezer basement but DC heats it up nice...?" The offer was extended at least; she loved her room and her fish, but a lot of scarelings did not. When he started talking about Barth, she couldn't help her softening expression; he was just so cute!
"You...are in, um...love with him?" She asked hesitantly. Despite the charming lessons the Kelpie had given her today, she was still unclear of the subject and in her scatterbrained memory didn't recall him ever spilling it out for her. But...if Calder was what someone looked like when they were in love, then...it couldn't be so bad, could it?

"Uh, well, it might not be bad for you. I know that if I sleep on a hard ground, I feel stiff in the morning. Makes it hard to move. I usually have to take a long bath just to make myself feel better. It's not good for me not to be able to run if I feel all knotted up. If it works for you, then that's fine." He undid his his hair from his ponytail and laid down. "Maybe it's different for undeads. I know Christof sleeps in a bed, but other undeads sleep in graves. We're all different." And he was living, which meant his body was different to her body in many ways. "I tend to be comfortable on soft ground, but other times I like being submerged, and other times I like being in my natural form. All depends. I'm a very odd sleeper I guess."
At the invite, he smiled. "I'd love to come over sometime. If not to sleep over, than to visit." He was always curious to see other rooms. It said so much about a person.
Stretching out, he started to arrange the blankets over them. "I...like to think I am. I mean, I'm sure I do. It's just..." he pressed a wrinkle on the blanket with his hands. "...I said I loved other boils before, and they told me that before, and then dumped me soon after. It really, really hurt. I keep telling myself I shouldn't be falling for guys without waiting a bit, but Barth and I have been together as friends for a while, and then when I found I liked him more, well, I told himself - 'Calder, you can't say you like him right off the bat.' It was reeeaaallly hard though. But after a while, I knew, and he told me he did too, and we've been together for a while now. Longest I've ever been with someone. So, yeah, we're in love." He smiled, wanting nothing more than to find Barth and kiss him. Too bad they were at his parent's place.
"We've been in a lot of scary situations, but he's stuck by me and I've stuck by him. I think if that doesn't test if someone loves you or not, then nothing else can."
