Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV  Gray tilted Pilot's face up toward him, looking down at her seriously for a long moment. Hmph. The little ragamuffin had wormed her way in rather soundly, hadn't she. He chuckled softly, shaking his head. He'd definitely have to figure out what to tell the others.
"Well, he said, stretching out his legs and folding his arms behind his head. "I reckon they're saying this wagon is a lot better off with you here, so we're glad we found you. That about sums it up, I think."

The little girl blinked in surprise. "The flowers like me being here?" She asked, completely amazed. "They want me to stay here with them? Ill stay! I like it here and I like you Gray!" She exclaimed as she hugged the man around the waist and snuggled her face into his shirt. "Can I stay? Please?!" She begged. She really really wanted to stay! She would be nice and warm and she would have a nice man taking care of her.

"Oof!" Gray nearly fell over when he was glomped by Pilot. "Hey, easy now," he told her. "I'm not a sprightly, young thing like you." He hesitated, but finally half wrapped one arm around her, stroking her head.
"Well, I reckon you can stay here. I mean, your sheep have already made friends with Adiemus out in the stables, so he'd be lonely. And the flowers want you to stay so I can't really argue with that. So yes, you can stay here. I'll take care of you, kiddo."
"Besides, I'm pretty sure the golems like you too."

"Yay! Thank you Gray!" Pilot cheered as she snuggled into him. The small girl couldn't have been happier at the moment. She let out a big yawn and closed her eyes, exhausted from the long day that she had had. Punks tried to kill her sheep, Gray had rescued them, given Pilot a bath, fed her, and treated her ears. What a long and eventful day for a ten year old! She was very drowsy now and already half asleep.

"Well, it's been a long day," Gray said, pulling Pilot closer and sliding his arms under her so her could pick her up. "You are sleeping, I am sleepy, the flowers are sleepy, the sun is clearly sleepy because it's been asleep for a while now. So we'll go to sleep too." It looked like Pilot was well on her way to dreamland, anyway. He carried her the short distance to the bed and laid her there, pulling the blankets around her.
He wasn't enough of a gentleman to sacrifice the bed to her so without any hesitation, he slid in as well. She was ten, for crying out loud. It was like sleeping with his little sister. And besides, there was plenty of space and if he didn't sleep here, she might wake up and be scared. And he just wasn't sleeping on the floor. Reaching over, he flipped off the light and settled into the blankets, eventually drifting off.

Pilot snuggled into the warm blankets and was sound asleep. The small girl's sleep was filled with wonderful dreams of jumping sheep and horseback riding with Gray. At some point during the night she even weaseled her way over to the man, snuggling against him for comfort.
Once morning came Pilot was up early because thats what little kids are like! They go to bed early and wake up super early just to annoy any poor sole who may be trying to sleep. The small girl had climbed down from the bed and was now wandering around the inside of the wagon, investigating everything. She blinked at a shiny cooking pot and grabbed it as she stood on the side of one of the cupboards. When she was about to climb down she lost her balance and slipped, landing on her butt. The pots and pans all came down on top of her, creating a loud racket. (Lol xD )

Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV “WAAAAH!” Gray bolted upright as a very loud crash woke him from whatever it was he’d been dreaming about. Still half asleep, he looked around the wagon blearily before falling back against the mattress with a groan. He’d just begun to drift off again when he remembered about Pilot, and bolted upright again, this time fully awake.
“Pilot?” he asked groggily. “What are you doing?”

Pilot blinked up at gray from under the rim of a cooking pot that was tipped upside down on her head like a hat. "I wanted to look at the shiny pot but when i grabbed it I fell and everything landed on top of me and went CRASH!!!" She exclaimed as she threw her arms out to the side for emphasis. "I didn't mean to wake you up Gray! Im sorry!" She pouted. Pilot felt rather bad for waking Gray up, and it showed.

"What did you want that pot for anyway?" Gray asked, sitting up and yawning. He reached up to tug his hair loose, massaging his sore scalp. "Are you hungry?"
Because if so, they probably needed to go shopping or something first. He was already a bit low on food and probably didn't have anything suitable for breakfast anyway. What did kids even eat for breakfast? Probably something distressingly expensive. And disgusting. Like ketchup pancakes (though he didn't think those would be expensive, per se...)

"I just wanted to look at it! It was nice and shiny!" She explained as she took the pot off of her head and set it on the sideboard. "I am very hungry," She answered, "Can we have waffles? Or cookies? Yeah! Lets have cookies for breakfast!" She cheered as she jumped up and down, completely bursting with energy.

Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV "Well, the pans are probably better left where they are," Gray said, rolling out of bed. He stretched, yawning again. "Let's try waffles today shall we? I don't have any here, so we'll head out and try a restaurant. How' that sound? Then we can also maybe find some more clothes for you. You can't run around in the same outfit all the time."
And he could get a little more food that she would like and fill his rather meager pantry.((Finally have time to post. D=< ))

"Okay! Waffles today and cookies tomorrow!?" She asked as she pulled on her old shoes then waited for Gray. "Oh and we have to feed Fluffy, Puffy, and Mr. Finklehopper too! I think they like waffles! lets bring them home some leftovers from the restaurant!" She small girl cheered. She spoke really fast and went on and on, like most little kids do.

Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV "Well, waffles today and tomorrow will be whatever we have tomorrow," Gray said. "It's best not to plan too far ahead. But you're right about the sheep. We should stop in and check on the lads before we leave. We'll check Adiemus too."
He went to one of the cabinets and pulled out a sugar cube. "No, Adiemus is a bit of a crotchety old fellow. But if you give him a lump of sugar, I'm sure he'll adore you forever." He handed the cube over to Pilot. "Keep it safe and guard it well until we reach our destination."
He paused to quickly change his shirt (he was even polite and turned his back to Pilot), before pulling his hair back. "There. Are we ready?"

"Okay!" She responded as she shoved the suger cube into the pocket of her pants. "Lets go feed the sheep! lets go feed the horse! I will feed him sugar cubes and I will have anew friend!!!" The little girl cheered as squeezed around Gray and ran out of the wagon ahead of him. She had way too much energy for first thing int he morning.

Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV "Hey!" Gray called, hurrying after her. He slammed the door shut behind him and chased Pilot down, his long strides over taking hers easily. Swinging her up into his arms, he laughed. "You can't run off without me. I only have one eye, you know. I might lose track of you, and then where would we be?"
((I keep forgetting she's 10. We tend to treat her more like she's 6. XDD ))
