Wilson took another bite out of his pizza slice as he shrugged at Reine. “Maybe they’re still settling into their dorms or something. Deryk you were on pod duty when they woke up, right? About how many were there—Oh hey! A couple new faces.” He gestured for Michael to come over, ignoring the nervous expression on the Lamb’s face. Julie wasn’t that bad! …okay she was pretty peculiar, but Wilson pretty sure he could handle being with Julie more than he could with Caelius.
His mouth was still full of pizza when he frantically called over Ami. “Wait!” Wilson coughed as he almost choked. [Whippersnapper! Who taught you to talk with your mouth full? Why I oughta—] Wilson furrowed his eyebrows. Gramps. Not now! He washed everything down with a swig of soda. “You’re…you’re one of the new trainees, right? Come join us!” She didn’t seem particularly keen on interacting with others. How to convincing her to stay…? “We’re your teammates, so we should at least know each other a bit, right?” Hopefully it was enough of a reason to convince the woman to join the group.
He curiously nudged Sydney in the shoulder with his plate. “Are you okay? You haven’t really said anything.”

Oh s**t, Ofelia had forgotten to give her name hadn't she? Inbetween all that inner thought? Craaaaap. "Ah'm Ofelia!" The girl stood up and yelled towards the person who'd given her name before, feeling sort of bad for herself about it. "Sun Division!" If anyone was curious about who she was they now knew her name. Go Ofelia!
Smooth move there hick. Smooth move. Rue sighed as hard as she could, as loud as she could, inside Ofelia's head. Ofelia choked down the last of her pizza (yes, she'd shouted with her mouth full) and looked around, many new people coming in. She didn't know half of them which...wasn't surprising. She shouldn't have known any of them which was more like the truth. Are we done here yet? I actually have slightly better things to do than this.
Really? Like what?
Anything but this.

Sydney looked up as Wilson bumped her with his plate. "Oh, um, sorry, I was--thinking," she said as an excuse. It wasn't a lie! She'd been thinking AT Izy. Hard. "Do you often have this many parties?" she asked. "Or is there something that I'm missing?"

Ami's eyes went wide in disgust. A fellow hunter was chasing after her with his mouth filled, and it was so undignified! Uck that was absolutely gross. No thank you. This was one party she could live without.
"Oh no, I just couldn't-" she began.
< C'monnnnnn. It'd be fun! >
The other hunter had a good point she supposed. Knowing your teammates was always a good plan. After all, if you didn't know anyone it was a bit hard to go on apparently life-threatening missions. Besides ... if she was really being truthful to herself? ... It looked like fun.
"M-Maybe just for a while? I'm Ami," she introduced, hand idly going to the clip around her jacket pocket. Entering the "party" scene, Ami saw quite a few faces that looked somewhat familiar from the orientation. The black haired girl (Syd), the senior-hunter that had greeted them at the pods (Deryk).

"Is this where the party is?" A girl entered the door, working hard to catch her breath. Evidently, she had somehow gotten lost, lifting her sleeve to wipe a drop of sweat from her excursion around the dorms.
Saya was busy catching her breath, tipping her head low as she took another step into the room.
If you're so tired, just grab a drink.
Saya nodded, her reply lost in the lack of air running through her throat. That pizza smelled really appealing too-- Saya agreed that grabbing a bite to eat might be better than the embarrassment of her stomach growling in front of the room. Apparently, she hadn't eaten in awhile. Whatever the mysterious substance that had sustained their bodies in those pods weren't exactly delicious, Saya guessed.

Tedan hadn't known there was a party of some kind going on, but he'd happened to overhear conversation as he limped back inside the dorms from doing some walking around the island to (hopefully) work out his sprained ankle a bit. Not that it had really worked, the damn thing still hurt like hell. But this looked interesting and .... Ooooh hey, there were new faces! And pizza. "Apparently so," he replied pretty much at random to one of the new girls. He grinned at her as he also grabbed a slice of pizza, then stuck a hand out toward her. "Welcome to the craziest place you'll probly ever end up in your life. I'm Tedan. What did they decide to call your group? We were the 'Hatchlings'."

Saya looked blankly at Tedan. She took his hand, her fingers linking in his to give the appropriate meeting gesture.
"I-I'm Saya.I'm sorry .. What? We had a group name?" She thought back on it, wondering if being a making such a late pod-breaking appearance has caused her to miss out on more than she already thought. She looked down at his limping ankle, lowering her drink in her other hand.
"Craziest .. I would have used a different term but that one fits rather well, doesn't it?" A faint whisper of a smile flashed, admiring the male's bright orange scarf and orange trimming of his coat. Orange was hard to work out but he made it work handsomely.

(This is a general tag)
A newbie was looking at him. Raising an eyebrow, Marcus hoped it wasn't that he looked weird or something. Was something on his face? He was pretty sure he's trimmed and shaved, so- wiping his face, there wasn't anything maybe the guy just had issues. Eh, not his problem. Shrugging it off, The moon trainee poured himself some soda and lifted his cup. "Anyway, Welcome lambs, to Deus ex Machina, get ready to get ********>." He smiled. "And by that I mean just getting stuck with the rest of us in missions that might or might not include picking up dead bodies, getting alcohol even if you're all underage, getting hazed by our seniors, trying to not get killed, and trying to avoiding death." Marcus chuckled, thinking of death being Caelius.
Marcus figured that welcoming, he kind of was a debbie downer. "Sorry to be a bit depressing but, hey, reality. I'm Marcus Hasan, Moon division and intermediate level trainee. If any of you are in my division I'm willing to show you some of the stuff we do. In general really, most of us will help with anything. I mean-" He looked at some of the Hatchlings. "Overall, it doesn't really matter right now, just get through the day and all that. Blah, my introduction is over. Sorry, never good at this stuff."

Before Tedan could answer her directly, Marcus made his little introduction and Tedan tilted head slightly. All right, so apparently these guys were the 'Lambs'. Cute. He didn't know if that was better or worse than Hatchlings. "Yea, it's pretty crazy ... and ... everything he said too," he replied as he jerked a thumb over his shoulder toward Marcus. "What division are you in anyway? I'm Sun if you can't tell." He shifted slightly and winced as he put weight on that ankle then glanced around. "You wanna uhm. Sit down someplace?"

Her gaze followed Tedan's finger, listening with slightly widened eyes and a pizza that was getting rapidly cold. Lambs. Saya registered her name with a slight quirk, looking a little more pale as the male, Marcus, provided a unappealing welcome. Dead bodies and avoiding death. A pleasant way to get about, really. It did take a damper on things, her shoulders lowering with a hesitance reluctance.
It's true. Prompto said, knowingly, with a similar reluctance.
"I'm in.. Moon." Saya answered, her arm reaching out to shoulder the male if he fell. But he didn't, the flustered female's hands extended partway, uselessly. She quickly withdrew it behind her back, catching sight of several chairs in the corner. "Of course! Umm .." She gestured to the free chairs, brushing several remaining crumbs from the seat. There. All clean!

Smiling, Wilson shook his head. “It’s okay. If you’re not much of a talker that’s perfectly fine with me.” He had spent many years with such people; it wasn’t anything new. He nibbled on the crust of his pizza. “No, not often.” Wilson frowned. “Although I don’t think two would be considered ‘many.’ This party is for you guys, so if you hadn’t woken up…” His voice trailed off as he shrugged awkwardly.
He grinned at his success. Holding his plant in one hand, Wilson placed the other on Ami’s shoulder to place her even closer into the group. “Nice to meet you, Ami. I’m Wilson.” The trainee took a subtle moment to eye the woman’s long hair. He had seen women with long hair, but Ami’s hair was extra long. How did she manage to wash her hair? How long did it take her to braid it? It was freaking long. Wilson blinked and intently stared at his pizza instead. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed another new face chatting with Tedan.
Then Marcus made his speech. Wilson actually made a face once the moon trainee had finished. “That’s a great note for them to start on. Thank you, Marcus.” It was a real shame he couldn’t deny any of the things Marcus had said.

She would have responded differently to Wilson's statement if she wasn't still taking in what Marcus had just told them. Syd frowned slightly, already imagining the dead bodies and alcohol runs all at the same time. The thought was disturbing--would you get the alcohol first or afterwards?
Izy told her casually.
"Eeew, you would keep your beer on the dead bodies?" she whispered, feeling a bit queasy. "Don't you think that would just... I don't know, ruin the flavor?"
"Then again, I never did like beer..." she said thoughtfully.

Marcus felt a little bad for the blunt greeting but, better than having head blown off or throat slashed. Speaking of did they get to see poor Clarice die? Eh, he'd ask later. No need to drag things on. Speaking of- did he hear someone say they were moon? Ah, she didn't look to happy. She was with..Tedan right? Ah yes, this get together he didn't seem to be up to holding a grudge. Walking over he smiled as best he could. "I don't suppose you just said you were moon did you?" Then- "Wilson, I make a point to not to lie to people. Plus, with how things work here, it seems..." he searched for the right words, "unfair to mislead them. Augh see now this is why I don't make speeches. Not growing up and certainly not now." One girl did chime in with..and odd remark. "Beer on- no. I really only sort of pointed out the worst of the worst. Julie, the one who sent us to get booze is just-" A sigh, "special."

"Oh," Syd said. "Well if it makes you feel better I'm just a few months short of legal--or perhaps I already am, I'm not sure how long I was in the pod," she backtracked. "I can go on booze runs if I need to."
...... And they wondered why they were called "lambs."

Cass was totally late to the party.
She'd been napping, but she totally made a point to show up after she woke up, her hair sticking up on one side of her head as she stumbled into the gathering, looking around confusedly.
"...."
Her brain was still waking up, and the look on her face just said everything.
'What is going on?'
While the Mist Trainee seemed...puzzled, Nicodemus was working on getting her brain up and in working order.
