Poor bell wanted to gather up the newbies and nestle them and teach them terminology they'd need to know before getting under way, but alas, that was not her job. Zac's nod did not go unnoticed.
As for her introduction, she made that when the mention of 'two children in this show' was made.
"Ah, yes, I'm Ainsley's older sister as well, my name is Bell," she gave everyone a quick glance over, "I've been in theatre since I was six, so if anyone has any questions or needs any help with anything, I'll be glad to help after rehearsals as well. Oh, and I'm your resident Lady of the Lake."
Then the cue for scripts - Bell already had hers laying open faced across her lap, ready. She'd always been a serious business, all work and no funny business, actress, and it had often made her less than liked, but the result in the end was always worth it. Being the party-pooper usually got people to stop their silly business and get to work, which was a weapon she usually wielded full force when it came down to the last week of rehearsals. As of right now, however, she was more relaxed. This was their first gathering, after all.

Flannery Spicer was late, but that didn't bother her. The action would start when she arrived, right? She, after all, was an experienced actress with eight straight years of posing in front of the mirror. And she'd been cast as Mordred. Arthur would've been better, and the loss of that role still stung a little, but who cares she was Mordred and that was pretty badass all on its own.
"Mordred," Flannery said as she strolled into the theater, snagging a script and a brownie in one fluid motion before somehow reclining on the stage like the cool relaxed kid she knew she was. Mmm, free brownie.
So far this was going really well.

Truth be told, Suri had never participated in community theater. Why would she, when there was science to be done? The mysterious art of theatrics was something better left to her more liberal-arts friends, and while she attended a play or two out of stoic respect for the work they put in to their pursuits, it was not something she herself was vaguely interested in. Broadway was some mysterious pop culture reference that she didn't quite understand, and Shakespeare was a headache from her high school days. So when she'd been invited to be stage manager for the community school play that semester, the science teacher ignored it as either a sarcastic comment or sheer stupidity.
When she was informed by administration that all faculty were to sponsor an extracurricular club and no, they weren't going to fund an after-school lab club, she begrudgingly accepted the placement.
Armed with a folder filled to the brim with paperwork, Suri quietly filed in to the rehearsal, holding the door behind her so that it closed almost soundlessly. She was fresh from class, clad in her lab coat and ID tags, and once she caught sight of the green-haired woman who seemed to be in charge, she clicked her way to the front, pausing for a moment behind her before removing a pen from atop her clipboard and tapping Kyndall softly.
"Ms. Rosen?" she asked stiffly, cradling her stack of papers. "I'm Suri Ellis, from Crystal. They sent me to be your stage manager." She offered a hand to the woman, but there was no particular warmth to the greeting. Suri was here to organize these ruffians, not play buddy-buddy. "When you have the time, I'd like to meet with your staff heads and get status updates, starting with your cast list."

Ainsley had been excited ever since she had been told that she had gotten a part in the play. It may not have been a huge part or the star role but she was happy to just get a part at all! It made her happy to be a part of something larger than herself, anxiously shuffling around the room as she waited for things to officially begin.
She remained respectably silent but at the mention of two children, Ainsley's eyes began to look around anxiously for Peter. Although he wasn't the only person here she knew, he was the only person here that was her own age. Perhaps the fact that she was going to be playing his wife made her eyes lower when she couldn't find sight of him, or maybe it was the fact that he was her friend. Either way, Ainsley hoped she'd see him soon!
Without too much adieu, Ainsley squeezed her way in next to her sister Bell. She smiled up at her sister first before her eyes fell on all of her other comrades in the play. There were quite a few people including cast and crew but it didn't make Ainsley too nervous. At least not with her sister here! It was rare that she got to spend time with her sister. Most of the time her sister was around but she wasn't truly around. She took care of her but she was absent for many things. It was nice just to be part of her life and not a nuisance. It didn't matter that there were other people here because she would get to be on the same stage as her sister!
"I'm Ainsley McMahon, the little sister!" She said as she pointed enthusiastically to Bell, even affectionately wrapping her arms around Bell's side to make it even more obvious that this was her big sister. "I'll be playing Sir Leon's wife: Nineve. I look forward to playing with everyone and I hope you'll all take good care of me!" Her eyes fell for Peter when she said this, a smile growing on her face shyly. Whether it was the fact she was going to be playing wife, or the idea of being part of something as big as a play, the smile grew larger on the child's face now. Whether she could see Peter or not, she knew her husband wouldn't let her down!
Her role wouldn't be a huge part of the of the play but everyone always told her that all roles were essential! Plus, without her Peter's role would mean less without his wife. She knew he wouldn't let her down so she knew she definitely couldn't let him down!

For a brief moment Roxy's eyes met with Kess' and it was pretty damn clear how the shorter haired blond was thinking. Of course, the first thing that popped into this blonde's head was 'am I being challenged?' Her eyes narrowed slightly, pondering as Laney completed her amusing gesture of the brownie invitation.
Well, of course she was going to take her up on it. That was no question. There was the added perk to seeing exactly what Kess would do when Roxy actually got to the brownies themselves. [Besides, she wasn't really needed on the stage... she also needed a better view to watch how the other people acted to figure out how to do their costumes] So, she hopped off the stage in a less than graceful manner, clutching the binder she had brought along and maneuvered her way the chocolate deliciousness. After a few strides, Roxy was by Laney's side, "Oh my god, I love your hair!" Personal space be damned, her hand was already out and running through the white haired girl's pony tail.
- wait, did she just see Flannery breeze by finally? Her head turned to locate the brunette.

She'd lost control again.
"Please, everyone, sit on the edge of the stage. Let's start at Act 1. I believe the line is to you, Alex. We're just doing a read through today. No acting required at the moment."
The crew might find this dull but it was a necessary part of the process. She'd run dozens of productions over the years and before they could start doing anything else the kids needed to read their parts and get a feel for the scope of the task ahead of them. It would be easy to get overwhelmed with a large part and those parts that were large tended to be very big.
She smiled as Ainsley popped up, motioning for her to join the rest of the crew. She heard them going ahead with the read and felt a tap. She looked up at Suri and listened to her introduction, frowning as she tried to think of why that name sounded familiar. She knew the administration was going to send someone to help her but they didn’t say who. Despite working at the same school Kyndall hadn’t run into Suri before.
Suddenly, two and two added up to four and she felt very awkward indeed. Old girlfriend, meet new girlfriend. She shot a glance to Tony next to her.
“It’s nice to meet you.”
She’d defended her once after finding out, saying the decision to leave Tony couldn’t have been easy. But, still, to have all three of them in the same production would be challenging. Kyndall wasn’t going to be unkind about it, though. She had no reason to be. People broke up and moved on and she imagined both sides had done just that. She and Tony were taking their time. There was nothing to be ashamed of.
“You’ve missed introductions for the actors and crew. I believe you know Tony.” She motioned to her right. “And this is Gently, my co-director.” She motioned left.

At the order, request maybe, to start with his lines he flipped his script to the first page. Quickly he looked over the lines, taking in what he could so he got the idea of it before reading it aloud, finally his eyes went back to the start of his lines as he started to read.
He kept his voice as neutral, for the moment, as he could. He didn't want to focus on trying to assign emotions to the words right now, lets first get the words and language down. He'd work on assigning emotions later on, even if he had to write it onto the scripts pages so he could remind himself till it came naturally. He would hold off for now though and run through things as best he could, the language in some spots was bad enough. He just hoped this wasn't a time where he'd need a dictionary to look up words unknown to him, so far it didn't seem that he'd have such an issue though.
While he read he tried to look around, take in everyone else in the cast, and who was down below. He wanted to keep his mind from wandering as it wanted to do. His mind really wanted to wander and try and picture the scenes and play them out, not something he could allow himself to do right now.
When he finally finished he sat waiting to see who next, what next?

[I don't know if I can do this, but I'm just going to and Zaia can yell at me later.]
Alex finished his lines as Micah was fumbling with her script and hopping up onto the lip of the stage at the same time. Her script fell onto the floor at about the same time she did. Micah groaned aggitatedly and hoisted herself up in a way that would have seemed comical if she'd watched it happen. She jumped, balanced her wait on the lip of the stage, and flung her leg straight to the side, hooking it onto the wood. From there she grunted and rolled onto the stage, scooting to sit where she needed to be.
With that finally done, she cleared her throat and followed Alex's lines with her own. As per usual when it came to readin out loud, Micah fumbled. Her brain worked faster than her mouth sometimes, she the words got jumbled. She had to stop frequently, making her blush. God, they thought she was an idiot. She could read, really she could!
"Ahh... er... M-my lord, quest not that... which is far. And look instead within. Not just Camel...ot and not even the castle itself..." Oh god, she lost her place. First she was stopping sentences in the middle and now this. "Ahh..." Where was it? Where?!
"For the benevolence is yours, to... no wait, that's later. The inner... er... Oh yeah. The spirit of a king lies within the soul of a man." Oh god, thank you. Micah was done and she skittered back to her own seat with her heda down.
