((Snap, really nice picture, Road 8D))

When they turned into a more narrow road, Lavi urged Thunder to ride slightly behind Daisy instead to allow them both more space. He hadn't expected the open, light-filled clearing that followed the somewhat dark trail they'd just come through. It gave the impression as if the place had been designed somehow instead of being formed by nature, the large tree stump perfectly in the middle, the sun shining down on it like some kind of spotlight, as if it was meant to be used. It had a kind of serene stillness, surrounded by a thicket of trees on all sides, and it made him feel like he'd stepped outside of the world for a while. Memorizing the path they'd just taken, he thought about maybe taking Sil there sometime.

Lavi smiled at Kiah's enthusiasm about the place she'd found, nodding his approval, knowing exactly what she liked about it. "It's beautiful." His voice was quiet as well, not really wanting to ruin the tranquillity either. After dismounting, he led Thunder to the tree and, like Daisy, tied him there. The horse immediately started nibbling on the bale of hay and Lavi gave him a pat on the neck before following Kiah to the stump and lowering himself on the blanket she'd spread out. "This all looks great." He told her with a grin as she started to arrange all the food out on the stump, she really hadn't exaggerated the amount, and recognized some of it as the treats that had been laid out in the Ballroom.

(( 8D))
As Kiah and Lavi settled down to eat their picnic, an old man on a donkey appeared. He had a large hat on, to block out the sun, and he was tiny, but cute at the same time. On his person he carried a pack, and though he wobbled about on the animal, he was holding onto a large book for his life. "oh..ooooh.." He didn't quite know how to get off the a**, until he managed to hop off and fall onto his bottom. It took a moment for him to rub his sore butt, but he soon grabbed hold of his book yet again, and he scurried over to the couple that was together about to eat.

"Oh..Oh my you two look so lovely together... I've been wandering about looking for inspiration for quite some time.. you see.. it's my first Valentine's day without my dear wife...." Without much else he sat down and began to draw right in front of the two, not caring for a moment if it was awkward. "We spent many years together, sharing our love... I actually got her to fall for me by drawing her a picture you see..... and I've drawn a new one for her every year on the same date... but now...."

He paused and looked up at Kiah and Lavi, taking in their emotions, and positions, before going back to his paper. Pencils fell about from his bag, as did multiple erasers, but he didn't seem to care, knowing almost exactly where each and every one of the tools had fallen. ".. And so today... well today I decided to draw as many couples as I could... to bring them together just as art brought me and my love together too~"

Finally he turned the large book, which was revealed to be a sketch book, and showed them his work. "Voila! No need to thank me~" He smiled and handed the sheet to Kiah, before he quickly got back on his donkey, and scurried off again, almost as if he hadn't ever been there....

(( Oh my god! That's gorgeous Road! heart ))

"I come here whenever I need a break, just to get away from it all and relax for awhile. It's kind of like a little hidey-hole when you think about it." Kiah smoothed out her dress and sat down carefully next to Lavi, making sure it didn't touch the ground near the blanket. After holding out a plate for Lavi to take, Kiah threw the sandwich she'd made for herself onto hers, along with a handful of grapes, carrots, and a few of the bon bons from the ballroom. She'd was happy to note that everything was still relatively cold and poured herself a glass of milk from a small container.

"Thanks, I-," Kiah was cut off as an old man rode into the clearing a bit clumsily, stuck watching him with wide eyes as he slammed down to the ground. She couldn't believe that they'd been found so quickly and simply froze while he walked over, her stunned mind trying to figure out what he was talking about. She had enough sense to smile while he was drawing, and yelled a 'thank you!' to his quickly retreating back, wondering if their meeting was a coincidence or not. "What... just happened?" Turning to Lavi and putting the picture between them, she looked over the detailed piece with wide eyes. "Wow... This is really good! I wonder who he was... He was really sweet..."

((Uwaaah that's amazing Road :0!))

"Yeah, it really seems like a good place to unwind." He smiled and took the plate from her. Looking between the various foods laid out on the stump, Lavi wondered what to take, it all looked really good, finally deciding on just taking a bit of everything. When an old man on a donkey seemingly appeared out of nowhere, Lavi watched him dumbfoundly, sandwich halfway to his mouth, as he approached them in a hurry and without much of a greeting plopped down and started to sketch. With what he was telling them, Lavi didn't have the heart to correct the old man about his and Kiah's relationship, smiling a little awkwardly as they patiently waited for him to finish his drawing.

"What the hell was that?" He asked bemusedly, after the old man had left them with the drawing, a snort of laughter escaping his lips. It was a nice picture though, the man really had talent, and Lavi looked back at where he had disappeared through the trees again as mysteriously as he had appeared. That had been very strange. Shaking his head a little as he broguht his thoughts back to his food, he eyed the drawing again, munching on his sandwich. "Do you want to keep it?" He asked Kiah, sliding the drawing slightly towards her, wondering whether holding onto a drawing of him with another girl would be a good idea.

To say Mishka was nervous didn’t even begin to touch the word. As he eased through the crowd he wondered if being wrapped into this Blind Date business was a terrible idea. He had only been in The Order for a few months now, and had just recently moved into the European Branch where much of the action took place and his skills would be needed the most. Some of his new comrades had cooked up this idea; he was a friendly young man who was perhaps a little too shy for his own good, so perhaps a date with one of the Order ladies would get him to loosen up and at least make a new friend.

He was dressed as a dapper young English gentleman, having become accustomed to the far more agreeable weather of England as opposed to the frigid temperatures of Russia. He was tall, but lean dressed in a clean white undershirt and a grey pinstripe vest that fit his tapered waist snugly, the silver buttons shined and polished beneath the gas lamps. He glanced again at the card in his hand, the edges of it starting to fade from where he had ran his fingers along it as a nervous habit, reading the words “La Lune” again. Spotting the sign for the restaurant above the street he felt his heart jump into his throat and his palms sweat a little. His eyes were storm cloud grey, but despite the severity of them they were soft and kind as they fell on the form the lovely young woman standing near the doorway, seeming to be waiting. A slightly shakey hand lifted to brush through the spiked light blonde hair that did nothing to darken his already pale complexion.

“You are… date?” He asked quietly to the beautiful young woman, a distinct Russian accent thick on his words. There could be no other reason that a woman so lovely would be standing outside all on her lonesome; not a man in the world would risk leaving her alone in fear that another would easily sweep her off of her feet. In his other hand were two roses, one pink and the other red, and he held them out to the young woman. “For beautiful date. I… not know favorite color. Bring both... for Valentine color.”

Liv had watched him when he emerged from the crowd, noting his nervousness. She guessed before he even approached her that he was her mystery date. She had never seen him before, and she wondered if he was new or just worked in a department she never spent much time in. Maybe he was a Finder? That seemed pretty likely to her, seeing as there were many of those and they often came and went.

It didn't take long at all for Liv to notice the man was good-looking, and she smiled when he walked up to her. She looked him over nonchalantly, trying to be inconspicuous. This would be her first real date with any man since Tyki...she was a bit nervous herself, even though she wasn't looking for anything. She had figured that at least getting out there would be a good start to getting past the Noah. Of course, she always loved a night out with anyone, so she saw no real reason not to go for it.

She was a bit taken aback when the man spoke, not expecting the thick Russian accent. She continued to smile though, and she held out her hand to him, intending to shake.

"Yes, I'm your date. My name is Liv. Oh, these are for me?" her eyes lit up at the two roses, and she took them gratefully, "Oh, they're lovely. They even match my outfit! Thank you, ah...?" she trailed off, tilting her head a little, looking for him to supply her with his name.

Kiah glanced at the spot where he disappeared one last time before laughing a bit, finding humor in the strange situation. "I guess it's not as secluded as I originally thought." Starting on her sandwich finally, she tilted her head at Lavi's question and looked at the trees for a short time, waiting to finish the food in her mouth before she answered. "Well, if you don't mind, sure! You're not just saying that to be a gentleman, though, are you?" she asked mischievously.

Kiah slowly finished off her sandwich and started eating everything else on her plate, regretfully looking at all of the food that had remained untouched. "I don't know if I can eat much more..." Sighing while standing up, she carefully set the drawing next to her yellow rose in the basket to get up and do something, unable to eat more and iching to let loose some energy. She quickly sat down again, not wanting to rush her date just so she could wear herself out in the training room for the day.

"I can't not be a gentleman, it's part of my natural charm." He joked, shrugging nonchalantly, unable to keep a grin off his face before popping a grape in his mouth. "But no, you seemed to like it, so you should keep it." Looking around the clearing again as he enjoyed his food, he was glad Kiah had decided to share this place with him, the way she spoke about it making it seem like she considered it her own secret hideaway. He was just about to comment on her not being able to eat anymore when he noticed her restlessness, standing up and sitting back down.

Lavi finished his last morsel of food and downed the last of his drink before putting the plate back down on the stump, glancing over at her as he slid it slowly onto the wood. "Do you have somewhere to be?" He inquired with a kind smile, not wanting her to think he'd find offense in it. Even though he was having a good time, he would be fine with going back to the castle. The two horses whinnied softly from over at the tree and he looked over his shoulder to find them nuzzling eachother's noses. "Well... looks like we're not the only ones on a date. Maybe the old man should've drawn a picture of them."

((Oh mah gaaaaawd, Road, both pictures are so lovely ;_; ))

Mizaka noticed Soma was glancing out the window as he ate. Did he, too, sense that someone was watching them? Before she could say anything, the old man strolled up to them, claiming what a lovely couple they were and began drawing them.

"Oh, w-we're not-" she began, but then the old man started telling his story of his wife and she soon felt bad for him. Losing a loved one isn't easy. She knew that all too well. And since the old man apparently lost his wife not too long ago, the whole thing seemed even more heart-wrenching. After sharing a quick glance with Soma, Mizaka sat there quietly and let the man finish with his drawing. Soon the old man was finished and he handed her the drawing, which she carefully took in her grasp.

"Thank yo-" The old man had already left. "That was...odd." She looked at the picture and gasped in surprise. "Oh! It's lovely!" She handed the picture to Soma for him to see.

Kiah couldn't help giggling at Lavi's joking tone, thinking she believed he was more of a gentleman than he did himself. "I really do like it. Thank you very much." She gave him a soft smile while watching him eat, and upon realizing that that was considered rude, looked around the clearing she'd found for what may have been the hundredth time. She tried not to bounce her leg up and down, wondering where in the world she'd gotten so much energy.

Blushing at Lavi's question, Kiah hopped up and started storing empty containers back into the basket, trying to hide her embarrassment. "No no no, that's not it at all! I'm just feeling a bit restless... I have no clue why that would be though..." she answered honestly, looking at him apologetically. At the mention of the horses, she quickly turned around and saw them nuzzling eachother, causing her to let out an unintentional 'Awwwww!'. "Thunder must've put the moves on Daisy while we weren't looking." Kiah watched the two for a short time before speaking again. "I think they're happy enough without a picture."

He actually blushed a little when he realized that he hadn’t introduced himself to her right off the bat. It wasn’t in his nature to do things that he felt were not good manners, but he had wanted to make sure she was his date before he bombarded her with an introduction. “Oh, very sorry,” he said softly, and as she offered her hand to him, he took it carefully and leaned into a gentle bow, placing a soft kiss along the curve of her gloved knuckles. “My name is Mishka Domashev.” He spoke much slower this time, to make sure what he was saying was quite understandable. The English language was something he knew, but he still struggled with the sentence structure. Understanding it was much easier for him, which he was thankful for as he knew he would want to comprehend every word this woman said. “I am… very pleased to meet Liv. Very beautiful name. I have not heard before.”

As the young man straightened from his greeting, he smiled quite brightly at how pleased she seemed to be over the roses. Even though he had been told that his date would be the one choosing the venue and the acts of the evening, he couldn’t help but at least bring her a little something to thank her for planning the wonderful evening he was sure lay ahead of them. “To thank Liv, for lovely evening. Already very lovely,” he told her with a small nod of his head, letting his eyes part from her long enough to take in the scene of the restaurant and a long inhale as he enjoyed the sweet scent of the evening air mingling with delicious food. The smile never left his face, but he did offer an arm to the young woman near to him if she felt inclined to take it so he may escort her. “Shall we?”

Liv blushed when he bowed to her and took her hand, his lips gently brushing across her knuckles. She had almost forgotten what it was like to be in the company of a gentleman, and she cleared her throat a little to keep from becoming too flustered. She giggled a little at his speech, but it was something endearing about him, the way he spoke with his broken English.

"Well thank you very much, Mr. Mishka. I've never heard a name like yours either, you know."

She watched him take in his surroundings, and the almost dopey, but genuine smile on his face. She took the opportunity to smell the roses he had given her, closing her eyes so she could more fully take in their sweet scent. She sighed softly afterward, twirling the roses in her fingers with a smile.

"Well, we're only just getting started. I hope that the night will continue to be just as lovely for you. I do have a little something that I brought for you as well...it's nothing really," she held up the small, heart-shaped box of assorted truffles. She hoped that he liked chocolate.

Handing the box to him, she took his arm with her own, holding onto him gently. She smiled a nodded, letting him lead her inside the restaurant. Liv had reserved a table already, so when she gave the hostess her name they were taken to be seated right way. Their table was right near the fireplace, and was covered in a deep red tablecloth. Pink candles littered the table, giving the place a soft glow which ebbed and melted with the light the fire was giving off. Overall the place was quite romantic, and soft string music played in the background. Liv could have expected it to be that way at such a fancy place on Valentine's Night, but it still took her aback some. She felt slightly nervous about being in such an intimate setting with a stranger, but it wasn't like it was anything she hadn't experienced before. A first date was a first date, even if it was a little intimate and romantic for one.

She stood there for a moment, wondering if Mishka would want to pull the chair out for her. She didn't want to be rude and just sit down without him. "So...what do you do at the Order? I've never seen you around before. Have you been there long?"

“Liv is very kind for this. Thank you,” He said as surprise took his features, seeming to have not have expected that she would be bringing anything for him. It was not usually the way things were done, but it was certainly a pleasant surprise to receive a gift from a beautiful woman no matter the circumstances. He knew that they were chocolates by the look of them, and he hoped she would like chocolate as well so perhaps they could share them for a lovely dessert later in the evening.

As he lead her inside, his chin was up high and Mishka tried his damndest not to look at Liv more than necessary. To him, she was a very pretty young woman who knew how to dress to flatter and he really had to work to keep his eyes cast forward as to not embarrass himself. It was an easy thing for him to do—his experience with young women didn’t go much further than a sister and a mother, as he was still early in his life. The sight of their date area made him quickly realize how little experience he really did have, since the scene in front of him seemed terribly… romantic. Was this the way most first dates were meant to go? He swallowed, unsure if he even knew enough about romance to carry out a proper date, but moved around and carefully pulled out the chair to offer it to the lady on his arm. After she had settled down, he moved to sit across from her with a small, nervous smile.

“I have been at European Branch for three week now. I am… from Russia. So, I am still working on English. I apologize,” he replied to her polite questioning, starting from the earliest question he could remember and working his way backwards. “I am physician assistant, and I joined Order to help people where help most needed.” Mishka laughed a little, hoping his thoughts and words would translate together. “Soon, I can take test to become full physician, after I help in Order with injured Exorcist and Finder. I have not seen much of Order, because building is quite… big. I get lost, and not meet many people. Now I have met Liv and will see more, I hope. Just not in infirmary, please,” he nodded his head with a gentle chuckle, not wanting to see the young woman injured and in his care if he could avoid it. In fact, he hoped that Liv’s job in the Order was one that didn’t involve field work and that she stayed out of the line of fire.

“How about miss Liv?” Mishka asked, tilting his head with his grey gaze intent on her, deeply interested in her answer. She didn’t look like an Exorcist to him; most Exorcists were scarred, and though he couldn't exactly pin point it, they looked at the world differently. Often times when he was around them in open locations with civilians, they looked over their shoulders like an animal that knew they were being hunted. In a sense they were; walking targets for Akuma to keep civilians safe from harm. Liv didn't have that air about her.

Liv thanked the nice young man as he pulled her chair out for her. She watched him intently as he moved to his own side of the table and sat down. Liv immediately took her fancy cloth napkin and unrolled her silverware, placing the napkin in her lap. As he continued to answer her questions, she leaned her elbow on the table and rested her chin in her hand. She watched him with bright, shining eyes, intrigued.

"No, no. I understand you perfectly," she smiled reassuringly, "Oh, a Doctor? That's interesting. I'm glad to finally meet someone that actually works inside the Order, as opposed someone that just goes out into battle," she frowned a little at the thought of all her Exorcist friends.

When he mentioned the size of the Order she laughed a little and nodded in agreement, "It can be very intimidating. But you get to know it like the back of your hand pretty quickly when you make a few wrong turns you'll never forget....See more? Of me?" she smiled, "Of course, if you'd like to. You don't have to worry about seeing me in the infirmary, I also work within the Order- Well....I really don't..do much of anything.."

She laughed softly, and tried to explain exactly what she did do, "I'm...something of a House Mother, if you know what I mean? I just go about and look after everyone, performing random duties...sometimes I bake, sometimes I tell stories, or...play games. I'm just...a supporter, and I like to be a familiar face to all the Exorcists when they come home from battle."

Liv was having a very good time so far, and she found it very easy to talk to Mishka. He was polite and interested in whatever it was she had to say; He made for great company. She was also equally interested in his own matters, always glad to meet someone new to the Order. And well...any handsome young man was something in her eyes, everyone knew that. She had almost forgotten to even pick up her menu when the waiter came over to ask for their orders.

"Oh, I didn't even look yet!" she hurriedly opened the menu and started to peruse it. Deciding to go with the usual Blancs de Poulet Dorés, or golden brown chicken breasts (served with roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables), she also ordered herself some champagne to drink.

Even though the pair were obviously on a date, the waiter didn't bother to hide his oogling at Liv. He hardly even looked at Mishka when he ordered his food, while he paid close attention to detail at Liv's request. Liv didn't take particular notice, as she was too enveloped in the menu. She didn't even look at the waiter, instead looking up to Mishka.

"Do you think we should have an appetizer? Are you very hungry?" she wondered.

Liv was easily falling into her old self, the date something familiar and easy for her. She wasn't nervous, and she hoped that Mishka was comfortable with her. She didn't know anything about him after all. Thinking about it, she realized that she didn't even know if he were single to begin with. He could have been roped into this like so many others had, and may even have a wife and child somewhere outside the Order. At that thought, Liv's eyes darted quickly to his hands, looking for the familiar sight of a ring, the telling sign of nuptials. She sighed a little in relief when she didn't notice anything; At least she wasn't making herself comfortable around an already married man. That was one thing Liv wouldn't want to do, despite her somewhat tawdry past behavior. She still should find out if he had a girlfriend maybe back in Russia, but she decided that could wait. It would be awful rude to ask something so blunt.
