Kishin winced as her energy was drained again, but she tried not to let the feeling distract her.
"Another Acrobatics now!" her trainer called.
Kishin leaped high into the air, flared out her wings and managed a midair double somersault before crashing down on Chromatic. She was having fun with this attack!

When Chromatic dodged out of the way, Kishin was on a crash course for the ground. But she managed to save her dignity by tucking and rolling into the fall, turning it into a somersault and springing nimbly to her feet.
"Nice moves there! Show us another!" Arissa cheered. She didn't care about the outcome of the battle any more. Kishin was getting good practice looking flashy, and that was the most important thing in her opinion.
Kishin happily obeyed. She leaped into the air again, but this time she flared out her wings as wide as they could go and caught just enough air for a short glide. She made the most of this, diving towards her opponent and swooping sharply upward just before impact. She ran out of momentum and stalled a short distance up, but she flipped over and tucked in her wings to shoot down toward Chromatic.

As Chromatic was readying her attack, and aiming towards the Archen, it backfired! That was the only way to explain it. How else was she going to hit herself?
She blinked, confused. Kishin flew past her field of vision, bringing her thoughts back to the battle. The Archen glided around in the air, and Chromatic leaped up as the other dove down, timing it perfectly.
"Try absorb again, Chromatic! And hit your opponent, this time" The trainer stated.
The Whimsicott repeated her attack, hoping it won't miss this time.
(( 100 dmg from confusion, but my defs makes it null? Correct me if wrong xD ))

Kishin chirped unhappily when she landed on the ground instead of her opponent. Maybe she shouldn't make it so obvious that she was approaching?
"You're doing fine, Kishin. Another display of Acrobatics!" he trainer encouraged.
Kishin spun on her heel and raced towards Chromatic again. She tensed her stance as if she was about to leap up again, but instead just hopped up next to the Whimsicott before throwing herself sideways into her opponent.

She hit herself again! Chromatic was so very confused. At least she healed herself a bit from absorb. She felt a small pelt on her side from the Archen colliding into her. The attack devastated her before, but now, it wasn't too bad. Her raised defense was working!
"Ah! The Archen! Not yourself! " Ms. Sparkles was getting frustrated at Chromatic being confused.
The Grass Pokemon tried absorb once more.

Arissa thought Kishin was probably getting the hang of Acrobatics now. Maybe they should practice a different move next. "Kishin, show me what you can do with Steel Wing!" she instructed. Immediately after, she remembered that the attack wasn't strong against Grass-types. She shrugged. Her attacks didn't seem to be hurting the battle-hardened Whimsicott much anyway, and she'd rather use this to get some contest practice in.
Kishin paused. Shoudl she try to make this flashy, too? It sounded like that was what her trainer wanted. As her feathers took on a metallic sheen, she considered how to deliver the attack. Then she dashed straight towards Chromatic at top speed, as if she intended to ram into the ram. At the last moment, she stopped suddenly and dug one foot into the ground, skidding into a pivot that spun her completely around and sliced her wing at her opponent.

Chromatic's mind cleared, and she could focus again. She didn't know what it was, but she knew she wouldn't be hitting herself on this next turn!
Kishin had decided on a different tactic of attacking, but it didn't matter to Chromatic. She just stood her ground, taking the blunt of the attack with her fluffy wool. The result was like getting hit with a pillow as a shield.
"Wow, Cotton guard is great! Absorb!" Ms. Sparkles exclaimed. It was a new move she was just trying out for this battle.
She made a mental note to use it more often.
Chromatic's mood was lifted, now that she was no longer confused. She happily gathered an orb of glowing white light around her, and released it to her opponent.

"Looking good!" Arissa said. "Now try an Ancientpower!"
Kishin flinched at an especially sharp sting from Chromatic's attack, but she was moving again in a moment. She braced her feet and stood tall, looking down towards the ground. Then she slowly raised her wings and beak towards the sky, while around her rocks dislodged from the ground and rose up along with the movement. When she'd raised her wings and head as far as they could go, she paused and held the position for a moment, her wingtips trembling ever so slightly. Then her head and wings snapped down sharply to point at her opponent, and the rocks all hurtled themselves at the Whimsicott.
