Nodding, she rose, gesturing for him to follow her. It seemed she had a partner for the evening!

She looked at her house, turning to view her new friend nervously. "My mother." She stopped mid sentence, head shaking. "One of my mothers is home right now. She may.... be rather hyper. Please find room in your heart to forgive her."

“My own mothers are generally two moods loving and hyper to each other. Or territorial and evil tempered to those who get in their way-at least momma Tambre is. Well I think I can handle a hyper mother noodle. Are you always this nervous introducing a friend to your mothers?

Laughing, she shook her head at the male. "Oh, no. But every time I bring a boy home she freaks. I had a very good friend named Shadow before, she went insane. She was very happy." Nervously flashing a smile, she twitched her tail gently.
"I am warning you, since Mama Brie isn't here, she may subject you to newt soup or eyeball pudding...." The laugh that followed was honest, but suggested she wasn't kidding as she climb onto the porch and knocked on the door.

Padma patted his stomach. “Well it a good thing that I got to try your tasty food before I came. I certainly don’t look forward to trying your mother’s newt soup or eyeball pudding. However it would be rude if she offered and I didn’t accept” Padma sighed dramatically. “A boy must sacrifice himself if it’s for a good cause,” Padma smirked a bit. “Unless Near you’d happen to know a good hiding spot to place the food. “ Padma eyes were wide in a pleading manner as he asked hopefully.

Blinking at Padma, she blushed brightly. "Ah, it isn't that bad. But... I could try and help you, if you'd like.." Looking up, she heard the loud sound of locks moving, and suddenly the door was flung open, standing before them a grinning vixen.
"Oh! What a scream! You brought home a friend! A boilfriend?" She squealed, the woman twitching her wings as her paws touched against one another, tail wagging happily. Near gave her mother a horrified expression, head shaking.
"Mama! It isn't... he's just a boil who happens to be my friend... n-new friend..." Her blush was evident, looking up at her mother with huge, pleading eyes. When Nyx ushered her inside, she turned to Padma, grinning.
"Oh darlin'! Come inside! I just made something to snack on, you're welcomed to it!"

Padma stared wide eyed at Near. He mouthed carefully towards nears direction-Save me. Turning to look at Nyx he laughed, “ Now I’m not lucky enough to be you daughter boyfriend but if I did have a girlfriend I’d want her to be as cute as Near. “ Padma smiled at Nyx. “I got treated to a wonderful meal by your daughter earlier so I’m quite full but I can always make room for a little snack. “

The blush that followed was vibrant, rushing away from the two. "I-I will get the s-snacks!" She squeaked. Had he really just said that? She wasn't....cute... she was.... Near. Near didn't get guys complimenting her. Ever. Ever ever, and not usually like that! She spotted the eyeball cookies, wincing slightly, returning to the two.
"Mama.... Padma.... he gets indigestion from eyeballs. I can wrap them up and store them for later?" She gave Padma a nervous look, sneaking a smile when Nyx turned.
She was pleased when Padma responded, assuming Padma was his name thanks to Near. Head tilting back, she looked over at her daughter, pouting slightly. "Oh? Well, next time I'll make something without eyeballs! Yes yes, wrap it up, my little scarling~" When Near rushed off she turned back to Padma, moving to the side and then bouncing off into the house.
"Come in, come in!"

She was busy attempting to fix the cookies when Padma approached, blinking and raising her head when he touched her shoulder, offering a nervous smile. Her head turned, eyes blinking several times as she stepped backwards, paws raising to her mouth when the cookies rose and danced. A smile rose across her face, tail wagging as a soft giggle escaped her throat. When the eyes popped she squeaked, about to turn over and look at Padma when they turned into petals, blushing vibrantly.
"O-Oh thank you!" She squeaked, rushing behind Padma when her mother entered, attempting to push the petals into a jar to both hide and perserve them.
When she heard the giggling and squeaks she poked her head into the kitchen, watching her daughter scurry behind Padma curiously, about to question when instead her eyes widened, happily throwing her arms into the air and leaping, hugging Padma tightly.
"Oh! They're all gone, the cookies! You ate them all? Even Selee and Brie won't eat them!" Enthusiastically, Nyx released Padma to hop about, turning to view the two.
"Now Near, you have to eat my cookies from now on! Padma did it! I have even more sweets for you two, they are in the cupboard!"

Padma smiled at NYX, “I have never been introduced to such unusual and unique cookies-in fact I have never seen it’s like. “ My mother’s make some quite unusual dishes but nothing like those cookies. Though my mother Sabine is infatuated with lilacs and I often have to be her taste tester. Unfortunately if a lilac recipe turns out wrong the lilacs make the product taste like soap. “ Padma stuck his tongue out In distaste .
At Nyx’s words he placed his paws together in a apologetic gesture and whispered “Sorry Near.”

Glancing at Padma, she groaned inwardly as her mother threatened to make more. Trotting off into the living room, mostly to avoid any other chanced of Nyx to promise more horrors.
"I'm not hungry, Mama." Actually, she was hungry, but still. She wasn't going to eat her mothers baked goods. She'd wait until her other mother came home, or Selee brought food.
"Oh, such a pity." Nyx mumbled as Near wobbled off. Turning to view Padma, she clapped her paws together, grinning. "Lilac? Maybe I could mix that with some newt..... hmmm." Purring low in her throat, she turned back when Near re-entered the room, the girl looking at Padma as if to say "you brought this upon us." She watched her daughter lean on the counter, turning back to Padma.
"So what brings you here? While I'd love to say it was to taste my treats, I doubt it."

Padma regarded Nyx, “ Well no be honest I was trying to escape my family. My adopted brother just had kits and is showing them off so it can be a little loud. While stumbling along I meet up with you gracious daughter who took pity on my growling stomach and was kind enough to offer me food.
Padma turned apologetic eyes towards near and mouthed “I’m sorry.” In Near direction when Nyx’s back was turned. He settled in close to Near and started whispering in her ear. “ I hope I didn’t start your mother on a lilac and eyeball cooking spree. I can just imagine purple eyeballs winking at me.” He shuddered in false pretense. “It’s terrifying!” Padma said in a joking manner.

"I'll blame you when she brings home lilac frog fingers." Near whispered back, ears flopping down at the image. Oh gosh. And that was normal for Nyx! She glanced at Padma, turning the brightest red when her mother spoke.
"Such a pity! I was hoping you came to taste my treats or court my daughter." Nodding, she folded her arms, serious for a few seconds.
"What if you stayed for a few days? We have an extra room. It could be the break from the loud house, and I need help around the home, anyway."
