He hadn't heard Mada calling him, working on standing up, muttering how he had to move before his leg buckled, making him collapse. "don't touch me!' he exclaimed, backing away into the wall behind him. He gave a short yell as the knife was removed, panic slowly starting to subside as he looked at the god-awful tacky bows in that girl's hair. Finish it with a kiss? That was sexual harassment, charlie jerking his head away as Mada touched him. he didn't want to be touched, he wanted to move, get out, and quickly. "No, there is nothing to talk about because I fear nothing." he said, taking his knife and rubbing it clean on his jacket, placing it back against his hip where it belonged before the bag was placed on his other. Gray eyes looked at the pink-haired girl, the genderless being chewing his lower lip before speaking. "If I were to travel with you, your morning would become like what you've just witnessed. Not every morning, but often enough. Though I suppose this time I'll be healed instead of letting time heal it." he admitted.

Mada shrugged, "it's exciting if nothing else." she stood and moved to gather her things, "i really do not mind, charlie. really and truely. but wouldn't it be better that the damage inflicked by these dreams be healed quickly? for no other reason than this i would like to stay with you." she didn't like the thought of Charlie hurt and alone, simply waiting to heal. "i would still like to travel with you, i guess is what i am trying to say." she got out the left over stew and poured out half into a bowl before handing it to Charlie. "hungry?"

Exciting? She thought it was exciting?! The teen scratched the hair on the nape of her neck, adjusting her hat. "It all depends, sometimes the wounds aren't as deep, a small cut is all I need to wake up from the night terrors." He explained, but the time of merely cutting was long ago. The terrors, the illusion was getting stronger. "No, no thank you I'm not hungry." She gave a weak smile, going toward the front doors rather hurriedly and peering out. A dust storm had indeed come during the night, the wind still howling and blowing it around, though on a much smaller scale. He sat against the wall beside the doors, looking at Mada practically on the other side of the room. "You may eat. I am not hungry." The light helped, it kept the shadows at bay.

Mada smiled, "as you like." she ate what was in the bowl and then cleaned it before putting everything back into her pack and heading to the front where Charlie waited. she looked out at the swirling dust and sighed softly, "oh dear, that will get everywhere. nothing we can do about it though. unless you want to stay here for a bit and see if it dies down?" she asked the other, looking at him with a smile

No, he wanted to walk through, he was antsy. She was antsy. Charlie itself was antsy and needed to move, to walk around, to get away from the increasingly number of shadows the room was developing. Openign the small bag he took out the flashlight, aiming it at his face before his thumb started to press the button. Flashlight on, flashlight off, flashlight on, flashlight off. "we can wait for it to die, the worst of it passed through the night." She explained, not looking at Mada, but looking at the back wall. "It should take an hour or two, but if we're lucky it would be an hour. Maybe forty minutes, perhaps." On, off, on, off, click click click click. That was twice now Mada hadn't touched him, three, no, four times. Her gloves were really handy, he couldn't use his ability if he couldn't touch the skin.

Mada nodded and sat down beside Charlie, not bothered in the lest by the flashlight clicking on and off. she pulled out one of her sets of clothing and started to mend a rip in one of the sleeves, her hands fast and efficient. "oh-your pants have a hole in them now, don't they? want me to fix them while we wait? wont take more than a few minutes and you can even keep them on while i work."

The only noise was the clicking, click, click, click, click. On and off, on and off, the shadows kept on growing. Why? Why? Why were they growing? At the mention of his pants being hemmed Charlie's legs snapped to his chest. "No, they're all right. trust me you do not need to hem my pants. They're just fine." He couldn't risk having his pants taken off, he'd be ridiculed like he always was, even Post-War. He wouldn't be accepted.

Mada lifted an eyebrow, "stop that, you silly. i'm not hemming them, i'm fixing a hole. you need to take care of these things quickly or they will become irreparable." she grabbed Charlie's leg and straightened it out before she found the hole and began to carefully sew it closed. "don't squirm, i don't want to accedentally stick you." she warned as she worked, not giving Charlie a chance to say no again

"Don't touch me!" She exclaimed, thankful that her voice could go either which way as her leg was straightened. Charlie did try to jerk it away from the gloved hand but the grip was tight, in the end the hermaphrodite was laying on the ground, one leg stretched and the other still bent, but half of Charlie was in the sun. That was good, it was warm, it removed the shadows. "I think you have, but I can't tell." The teen sighed, looking down at Mada. Insane, bow-wearing girl.

Mada laughed, "i have not, stop being such a baby." she finished and cut the string before releasing Charlie's leg, "there, all done. that wasn't so bad, was it? certainly didn't need the fuss you made it out to be." she settled back to fixing her own clothing and smiled to herself, knowing it would take a little work to get Charlie to open up, but looking forward to it all the same

The other checked her pants, thumb running over the hardly noticeable seam. "I need to make a fuss. I like these clothes." And they hid his lack of a gender. Scooting into the sunlight she sat there, watching the small clouds of dust dance with one another, turning, kicking, dipping, gracefully moving across their dance floor. The heat of the sun beating down behind the yellow world splashed with colors of rust and steel. He felt something touched his hand and looked down, a rather large and hair tarantula climbing onto him. The smallest flare of panic before he reminded himself that tarantula's were hardly deadly, their toxicity low. "I seem to have made a friend." And lifted his hand curiously, watching the hairy appendages latch onto his skin, slowly, curiously climbing onto the fabric.

Mada looked over when Charlie said he'd made a new friend. her eyes widened at the sheer size of the tarantula. she wanted to move away, possibly 'eep', but she kept her calm and smiled. "an interesting friend to make. i wonder where he came from? seems friendly enough." she looked around, hoping there weren't more near by. "haven't seen one of those before, at least not in real life."

Her eyes widened, was she afraid of tarantulas? Or just spiders in general? If Charlie remembered correctly arachnophobia was a common fear, He smiled, wishing he didn't know what she feared. "Tarantula's aren't very dangerous. Their bite is about as deadly as a wasp sting. though I suppose those can be deadly." It was nearing Charlie's elbow now. "I haven't either. I wonder what it ears to live in such a dusty land. Lizards, perhaps?" She questioned. "Want to hold him?" And offered his elbow toward Mada.

"Maybe really, really big flies," Mada teased. when the thing was offered she held up her hands, "Ahahaha, no thanks. he looks happy with you." she waved them quickly and shook her head, "nothing against them, just not to fond of the creatures." she wouldn't kill them, of course, but that didn't mean she wouldn't find away to get them away from her without causing them harm. "wonder if he was ever someone's pet." she'd heard that used to be common enough
