Ahh there was that temper. He remembered it so well.
"But I was just getting reacquainted with the twins." He frowned, looking very much the scolded pup. "Heeey! Maybe they want a hug." At that, he spread his arms wide; face lit up and looking expectant at Becca.
Obviously, he still hadn't learned when to quit.
"What?" Librarian? Now that was a name he hadn't been called in a long time. "Of course I haven't! I'm already the prettiest I can be. Sorry that your still jealous about that though." He gave a playful toss of his head, causing his disheveled black hair to flop back over his eyes, just in time to take a mock punch to the gut. To which he feigned pain.
"Beccaaaa.... he's beating me up again. Save me---" He started to swoon in her direction, only to choke when Lex caught and dragged him along to follow Becca towards another hunter.

((Entering training fields – Kieran Wilin))
Weapon function was definitely a priority. Whatever mystery mission they were on, he for one refused to be the idiot who’d forgotten to make sure that all systems were go. That individual was sure to be a doomed individual… perhaps it would be prudent to, just slightly, nudge anyone else who might possibly have maybe forgotten to double- (or triple- or quadruple-) check their equipment towards doing so. Upon discovering that the stations to do this were conveniently located here, rather than a hike away, Kieran had determined that the training fields were to be his first stop.
There were so many, many hunters about. It was a strange thing indeed, and the ever-present worry was starting to nag at him. It got worse as, whilst crossing the island towards his destination, the thought that every hunter must have been called back occurred to him. If it were true, and there were so very many of them that it seemed it even could be, then why? What mission could possibly require this many people? And... and if this many people were needed to go... how many were expected to return? Any of these people, maybe even all of them if his darker thoughts were heard as they insisted upon being, would never come back from whatever ‘mission’ awaited them. That no one seemed inclined to properly explain what the mission was… It was suspicious. It worried him. And the paranoia that not knowing some detail would cause him to fail to bring some critical piece of equipment was starting to really get to him. That he’d only arrived back a short time ago was not much help with that particular concern. Obviously, he couldn’t pack everything, because that was counter productive, but if he forgot something important… Though there were only so many extra pouches he could attach before his belt started to fall off, and carrying that much would impede movement which could be just as bad as forgetting to bring something… gah! What to do?
The answer to that was, apparently, prepare as best he possibly could, and with that slightly less despairing thought in mind the hunter strode across the field directly towards the training station. As he drew his daggers, pausing to ensure that he had indeed pulled his barrier dagger from the side of his belt that the barrier daggers were supposed to be on, in spite of the fact that not only did this not matter at the moment but he had also been exceedingly particular (as usual) to ensure that they were properly placed, he couldn’t help himself overhearing that someone was requesting a light.
As in, their light didn’t work.
As in, they were clearly unprepared.
And. And. Not only were they unprepared with their proper tools and supplies, they were intending to ‘resolve’ their lack of preparedness by making someone else less prepared.
Oh. And better yet. Someone else seemed to have just discovered that the light they, apparently, intended to hand over didn’t work either.
“I should think,” the auburn-haired hunter stated calmly as if to the air around himself, though a bit more loudly than strictly necessary, “That being called back on a mission that could only be of grave importance… one would have ensured that their equipment, however ‘minor’, was actually functioning properly.” His gray eyes never quite left what he was doing as he placed his dagger just precisely so to recharge it, but from his tone it was more than clear that he wasn’t just talking to himself too loudly, oh no, he was definitely saying something to someone… He paused a moment, then shifted the runic weapon a tiny smidge to the left, centering it more precisely. Yes, that was better.
There was a page jump while I was typing, so now it’s just ‘anyone at the recharge station in general' ((Feel free for anyone else around him to respond, or ignore him as you please, he’s not apparently addressing anyone in particular, not exactly.))

"Oh my god Henry," Mark adjusted instantly to the name change. He always did. He crossed back toward the epicenter of the action in a few steps, an unlit cigarette still hanging out of his mouth. The 'worst case scenario' talk was so Life Hunter he didn't even bat an eye. "We all know you've got the hots for her, but you've gotta stop hitting on my sister first thing out of your mouth every time she gets back from missions. No, no, don't deny it." Out of the corner of his eye Mark caught the gaze of one of the talkative hunters. He smiled pleasantly back and nodded, but there was a twinkle in his eye. "I'll get right on that, my man." Quietly aside, to C, and effectively Selena, Henry, and Velda as well. "See what I mean? Completely nuts."

Becca gave the moon hunter one more look over before nodding, he went on his merry way so she turned her attention back to her fellow Mist hunters.
"Obviously both of you two haven't grown up since we last met." She played with Vee's desummoned bracelet, seriously debating on shooting her two companions for their blunt rudeness before taking a deep breath. They we're, after all, the only two men she loved. She would do anything for the two regardless of their immaturity.
She sighed as Cody desperatly clung to Lex like a monkey on a tree before eye's widening at the man. "Are you...How dare you..." She stuttered out, turning full shades of red as she covered her breasts. "Have you learned no tact in the time we haven't seen each other?" She glared at Cody, "Don't you come near me Cody, Or I will make sure to show you just what I promised to show Lex. Our training days may be far behind us, but I will go back to reestablishing the order of just how you are to speak to me. And any part of my body that you seem to think you may just touch." She huffed....
And she huffed again. Glaring the two men down. How was she friends with them. Of all the hunters on the Island, she was friends, if not more with two idiots who liked to harass her.
Becca shook her head. No, They we're FEAR Mist hunters, regardless if she was on the Island or not, Any meeting of the Mist hunters would include these two.
"I can't believe in time that you two have stayed almost exactly the same." She seemed shocked by it. Just how long had it been since they saw each other after all.

Marsh raised his eyebrows at Lowe, then at Mark. He shrugged. "Okay then. Anything you need to pick up?" he asked Lowe, resigning himself to having the guy following him around. He'd said it was okay, after all, and Lowe clearly needed someone to look after him. Miyako said something uncomplimentary about charity cases. Marshall chose to ignore it. He cast a sympathetic look at Henry. Being Velda's minder was a full-time job, really. Poor guy.

((Entering - Em Night))
This was a good enough place to look, even though half the Hunters out here were doing ~actual training~, ugh. She plucked a cigarette out from behind her ear, and pulled a lighter out of her skin tight shorts, flaring it up. Once she'd practically skipped over to some of the people who were on the field, she eyed some suspective targets. A lot of familiar faces, but it was the unfamiliar ones that made her heart skip a beat.
She chose to hop beside C, giving her a gentle tap with her hips. "Somebody ask for booty?" It was like she'd been called down from the heavens above. She gave C a flirty wink, before sneaking up to Mark, Lowe, and Marsh. Three new men. How exciting.
"Eenie, meanie, miney, mo. Catch a tiger by.. hell, I'll take all three of you if you're into it." She bit her tongue and gave them a cheeky grin, before holding her hand out. "Happy New Mission, boys. I'm Em. But you can call me whatever you like, as long as you call me."

"How is that new in any way, Velda?" Selena scoffed, not that she'd really brought anything for her own superior, but it had slipped out before she could really help herself. She couldn't help but roll her eyes as Mark accused Henry of flirting with his sister-- as if anything or anyone would truly want that. The very idea was terrifying. "That is so many levels of mentally deficient, C-- but you know, I am honestly just used to it by now." She stood, taking Blue Fish from the charger, and holstered them, giving Henry and Velda both a wide berth. Her and authority figures: they never really did get along so great.

O. M. G. her brother could soooo ruin her life sometimes! She stuck out her tongue and wiggled her fingers next to her face when he turned to speak to one of the other hunters, quickly shifting to an expression of pity. "Yep, you're right. Poor guys. Someone should get 'em a drink." She didn't let Em get away without a slap to her fabulous a**. It was so funny when they pretended to be in lesbians together! At least the guys at the parties seemed to like it... "See, this is why you should've gotten some in Madrid. I'm just trying to help you." If Selena had anything else to say on the matter, it apparently was going to go ignored. Because out went C's hand, indicating that her palm was the only thing that was listening. Teasing about the impending end of the world was fun and all, but she really was concerned for her friend. If this Y2K thing were real...well, she just hoped she could go out with Selena and Mark. And a drink in her hand.

Whoa. "Marshall Reed. Nice to meetcha," Marsh said, and hauled his eyes back up to Em's face as he shook her hand. Had she actually meant - Miyako informed him coldly that his accent was slipping, and anyway, did he really think that that was in any way appropriate? She, for one, was scandalized.

Such a pretty smile. She reached up and pinched Lowe's cheek, before leaning on him. "Lowe and Marshall. What manly names. What division are you guys? I haven't seen you around, must be from another facility. Otherwise I'm sure I would have gotten to know you both real well, already." She reached out and tugged Marsh a little closer, if only because she liked the way it looked when she was sandwiched between tall, good looking men. It made her look pimp. "Got any plans for New Years?" Of course they did, they were off to fight the bad guys. Still, she knew she had plans, because no one should ever work through New Years without doing something special.

Reminded of the Madrid trip and Selana's existence in general, Velda's eyes lasered in on the huntress, expectant. They said, Where is my souvenir my minion? Leave it at my feet and perhaps I'll help you survive this mission. But the effect was sadly lessened when the intense gaze was met only by the sight of Stacia slapping the other woman on the rear end. She gave Henry a confused look, but this too was wasted, as he was giving the two "ladies" a look full of thoughtful speculation. The young Life leader sniffed in irritation...and then sniffed again and scowled as she turned to see Em. Smoking up Velda's air."Henry." Her voice was soft, but it had his attention snapping back to her. Lifting her eyebrows she glanced glanced at the smoking huntress. Face impassive, he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small spray bottle and aimed it in Em's direction. Tsssst-tssst

Plans? Not really. Lowe hadn't thought of anything other than the mission so when this Em person asked him (while leaning on him after a face pinch) he was a bit taken aback.
WE'RE GOING DIGGING. THE FIRST DIG OF THE NEW YEAR.
They were not going digging, and Lowe could feel Afzal wither a bit. Victory. Lowe had to think of an answer but he really couldn't so he mostly stayed silent, save for a nod of his head. If his companions talked than all the better, since he wouldn't have to and he could just listen on in.
WHY THE ******** CAN'T WE DIG? IS THAT REALLY SO HARD FOR YOU TO DO?
"Maybe later, later. For now we're right here." Of course talking actually make him kiss the back of Em's neck somehow. Oops.

Someone needed to hold her back. C had managed to catch the tail end of Henry's look, and now appeared to me milliseconds away from disgracing her beloved leader and doing something terrible amazing to him. It was a pity that she was locked on to the man, because the sight of the spray-bottle-attack would have sent her into fits of kicking, rolling laughter. Which was for the best, considering how badly the dirt would ruin her toenail polish.

Em felt the first spray of water on her arm, and her head twisted just in time to get the rest of it right on her face. Not only did her cigarette go out, but her face, and shirt, were now all wet. She gave ~Henry~ a scandalized look, before wiping her face down with one hand. "Baby, if you wanted to get me all wet, you could have just asked. Didn't have to ruin my cigarette, god." She pouted until she felt Lowe kissing her neck, and he turned her frown upside down. With a pat to the cheek, she rubbed herself affectionately on him. "I like you. Let's go back to your dorm and have a party. But first.. I need a new cigarette." She gave ~Henry~ a warning gaze. "No shooting off in my face this time. Got it?"
